I'm like a snowball rolling downhill.

That's the first thing that pops into my mind when I try to explain my life. I don't know exactly 'what' I am, but I do know who I am.

At least...I did.

Sometimes life sends things your way that upend everything you thought you knew, and then slings you in another direction without any sort of harness or warning.

Sometimes it drops someone like me off in the path of four wildly different monsters, who all used to be best friends, but now sort of hate each other and compete over absolutely everything, including...me.

Life would be easier if I wasn't already attached to those four monsters, but they occasionally let their guard down around me, and I get a glimpse of what has to stay hidden under all those snowball layers, since they already rolled downhill a long time ago.

I'm tired of losing people I care about. I'm tired of searching aimlessly for answers. I'm tired of not having the right questions to ask.

I'm really tired of feeling like my vagina is cursed, but that's obviously lower on the list of priorities. But in my vagina's defense, it may not do tricks, but I keep it pretty. It shouldn't keep scaring men/monsters off so easily, and it's honestly starting to make me feel a little insecure.

Anyway, I'm finally closer than ever to having all the answers. So long as no new secrets emerge.

Book 3 and it just keeps getting better

I love this series more and more with each book I read. Didn't think it was possible, but it's true!! If you can't handle suspense and mystery this is not the right fit for you. Patience while the story unfolds is a major requirement!! The story could come across as slow paced, but it is definitely not drawn out, and the speed matches with the level of information being thrown around while this world is being built. This is not your average run of the mill romance novel. Kristy has built a complex world of mystery and intrigue which pulls you in and leaves you begging for more. The characters in this series are entertaining, from the headliners to the beta and omega ladies playing supporting roles. I love Violets empathic nature, and her ability to befriend those who seem weaker even at risk to her own life. In book 3 we got a WHOLE LOT of answers to the questions we have been asking. There is still so much more of this world for us to get lost in though, and I cannot wait to travel further on this journey with Violet and her merry band of misfits ☺ While not everyone's cup of tea I love 😍😍 😍 the detail and intricacies of the storyline. So, if you looking for a series that is more involved than purely erotica give this a try. Just be prepared to spend hours of your life absorbed in this new world.

A bit irritated with another cliffhanger but still really enjoyed it

I gobbled this book up in 24 hours. I found myself getting a little lost at some parts, especially towards the end. For most of the book getting any information was like pulling teeth. There were these little info drops that were so rapid I had to go back and read them again. I still wasn't able to get their meaning fully. Like THE Marta Portocale. Maybe I missed something along the way. A couple things didn't make sense. Like does Violet want info or not? She walks out and changes the subject when it's offered. And the end. It's another cliffhanger. Violet ends up in a situation that was avoidable. Seemed forced for effect. I hate complaining about books that I really do enjoy though. Being a third book that's not the end of the series, I worried it would be a "filler" book. It was definitely not a "filler" book. It moved the story forward and was filled with as much humor as the first 2 books. I really love all the characters and the omegas have become favorites of mine. I liked the change of scenery and the switch ups of the guys at different times. The reverse harem aspect is one of the best I've come across. It just works so well. Violet isn't whiny and irritating which is important for me in a MC. I had some complaints but not even close to giving up the series worthy complaints. I look forward to the next book.

Waiting Impatiently

The next book in this series can't come out fast enough! Violet is the perfect heroine, balanced in kindness and toughness, but not without her flaws. Her attitude, hilarious lines and just general likability is on point! She really shines in this series and helps make even the terrible cliffhangers bearable. And the monster men? I honestly can't pick a favorite, because they are all so fleshed out (figuratively and literally 😉). Kristy manages to even make characters who should be unlikable into such complex and intriguing people you almost want to forgive...Except the Big Bad we have yet to meet. Idun really better be worth all the hype. At this point, her appearance is going to be hard not to make anticlimactic. And the secrets...they unwrap so slowly but naturally, it's truly beautiful storybuilding. My only complaint is the never ending cliffhangers and the fact this series isn't done yet! Oh, and a good beta reader might be nice. The editing mistakes can be slightly cringe worthy. Honestly though, this series is by far one of the best things I have read in a long time. If you haven't been reading, you're missing out.

Keep those Pretty Monsters coming... 😉

I guess I'm in the mood for a drawn-out series...OR...the author is just that good she's got me wanting more and I don't mind waiting. Ok, I might mind just a smidge but I'm going to pretend that I'm one of those patient kinds of reader. I'm invested in All The Pretty Monsters and I know I will keep coming back for more. Gypsy Origins sucked me in from the very first page to the last. I THINK we've finally got our answer as to what Violet is and what her purpose is. But, to tell you the truth, I wouldn't be surprised if we've all got it wrong and she's a fairy... angel... brownie... or something else that's badass and smells really pretty? This last earth-shattering announcement wasn't entirely convincing. I'm not sure I believe Tom. Or, maybe it's that I don't want to believe him. Now the announcement before the last one, I really could get behind that one. I have to admit a little secret here...Vance is my favourite. Sure, Damien is tempting, Emit is growly sexy and Arion, well, he's just so affectionate. But, Vance is just so tortured, hard-working, put-together, sexy and strong. I can't even pinpoint my favourite bit about him but I just wanted to give him a cuddle and take away his burdens for a little while. Now...HUBBA HUBBA...we get to the "group action". I actually thought it was pretty tastefully done. It doesn't go into overly explicit details but you definitely get the connection between the three involved. I'm not going to tell you who's getting the action, but I will tell you that it was BLOODY HOT!! Violet is getting the ACTION!!! The story is progressing well and I completely understand why Kristy Cunning felt a need to spread it out over numerous books. They are long enough to give you a decent read and don't feel like they're being drawn out for the sake of lining the author's pockets. Which is a BIG CALL for me. I'm not normally a huge fan of a story being drawn out over numerous books, but this one works for me. Probably because it's fairly well priced, a decent length, and each instalment packs a punch. I'm still a fan of All The Pretty Monsters and I wait with bated breath for Gypsy Moon.

A little confusing, but still good

Approximately the first 50% of this book was a confusing mess. It rallied enough after that to receive four stars, but literally almost exactly the first half of this book was disjointed and confusing. It really should have been cut down quite a bit, and even though it still wouldn’t have made any sense it wouldn’t have dragged as much as it did. The dialogue and some of the plot reveals in this book were also a little confusing to me. The dialogue almost felt out of place at times, and sometimes derailed to a side conversation for an extended period of time before returning to the main event. Other times I was confused as to who was speaking or what they were saying meant. Some of the phrases the characters used were ambiguous and out of place. I confess that some parts of her other reverse harem, Four Psychos, were little convoluted, but I just kind of accepted that I wouldn’t understand everything and that I could still enjoy the story anyway. I’m kind of getting to that point with this series too. A good portion of it didn’t make any sense to me, but after I stopped trying to analyze everything I was able to sit back and enjoy it a little more again. I typically like to try and predict where a novel is headed, but with this series it just gives me a headache. In some ways being unpredictable is good. There were a few reveals that I wasn’t expecting and that I thought were pretty cool. But a few others were disorienting and hadn’t really had any ground work laid previously for me to really be able to appreciate them. We do finally get some actual reverse-harem moments in this book (yay!), and the male leads are all still very distinct, which I appreciate. I thought that Violet was missing some of the backbone that she had in previous books, and her father’s addition to the novel was another confusing mess, but I liked the male leads more in this book than I did in the previous novels. I also appreciate the slow burn romance. I know that there have been some complaints regarding this, but I like that her novel has a plot beyond the romance, and that the romance gets to develop along with the story. I think we’re going to see their relationships grow in leaps and bounds in the next novel, so I’m really looking forward to the next book. The cliff hanger at the end of the novel kind of bites, but I did appreciate that the first chapter of the fourth book was added to the end to take some of the sting out of it. It was still a cliff hanger, but not such an ambiguous one. And we don’t have long to wait to find out what happens next as the next book will be released in February. Normally I get a little frustrated with cliffhangers, but with such a short period of time between each successive release in this series I don’t feel like it’s as unforgiveable. Overall, it was still a good novel. I think the lack of time to edit shows more than the previous novels, but I still love the idea behind the plot, and the characters, while eccentric, are interesting to read about. And the slow burn makes me excited to see where this relationship is headed in the next book. So I will anxiously await the new release and see what happens next!

3.5 Stars

This is book 3 of the All the Pretty Monsters series. This has been the best of the series so far. Mostly because there was full train of thought and not as much talking in circles and riddles. The writing is still juvenile though; there is more telling than showing, and this book needs a proofreader and another round of editing. There are a few instances of continuity issues and things that don't really jive but for the most part it can be overlooked. I think the one that bothered me the most was when there was a horde of wolves involved in an attack, they were organizing their attack and meeting places via cell phones. When they switch to wolf, how are they carrying their phones, especially since when they switch back to human to send a message, they are naked. It just doesn't make sense. We don't have much happening with the supposed reverse harem theme. Violet hooks up with a few of the guys and even has one fun scene with two of the guys at once. But even with all of that, no one seems to be catching feelings or developing a relationship. It is more like, oops, she slipped and fell on their man parts. So the romance portion of this series is almost completely non-existent at this point. There are a few sweet words here and there but nothing really significant. I'm still curious so I will continue on with the series. I don't really recommend it yet. I just hate leaving things unfinished and since I started, I want to know how it all works out. I'm enjoying it, but mostly just because I am already invested. The beginning of this series (most specifically book 1) is too much of a cluster and super confusing too read, for me to really recommend it.

Finally, we find out more

While there is still a lot of reference to an unknown past, Book 3 in this series finally reveals a bit more of what that past is. Both Violet and the alphas' history is revealed in dribs and drabs and some aspects of the overarching plot are revealed. It's still not completely clear to me, I'll add, because the telling of past events was a bit all over the place and the choppy back and forth has made it a bit difficult to follow, but at least it was progress. Violet's monster is given a bit more clarification as well and I must admit, I found it a bit of a non-event and anti-climatic after two previous books had built it up. While there are a few typos in this book, the dialogue was entertaining. I really enjoy the arguing and back and forth between the four men. There was still a lot of repetition, particularly the constant smirking and trying to hide smiles from the alphas. They must get a massive amount of facial muscle strain due to the fact that they're constantly trying not to smile or having one side of their mouths quirk up. The reader also gets to find out about the woman that they had all fallen for and what her part was to play in turning them into the monsters they currently are and the curse they carry on their shoulders. There was a good amount of tension in a couple of parts of the book which made a great read. Some of the terms used have become a little slapstick in nature, however. A family called Simpletons? Really? The characters remained solid and I just love the crazy that is Arion. He adds a lot to these books. I'll continue on with the series.

Draws you in, doesn't let you go

It's bittersweet to find a book (or series in this case) that draws you in so strongly that you have a hard time giving it up to live your actual life! I was just finishing book two on Friday night, and was checking to see when book 3 would be out, and BOOM! It had been published a few hours before I had finished the second. Which meant I skipped sleep and half of the next day just to soak up as much of the fun as I could. I wish I had self discipline, and could pace myself, but this series makes it almost impossible. I'm actually glad the 4th book isn't out yet.....as I now have to do all the real life things I shoved to the back-burner to read the first three books in a week. :) If you're looking for a series that pulls you in from the start, gives you humor, intrigue, fun and a whole lot more, then you should pick this series as your next binge worthy read. Looking forward to the next!

Sing, Sweet Gypsies!

Oh my apples and oranges! I love this series so much. The third book is aptly named Gypsy Origins because the guys explain the origins of their monsters and more of their history with Idun (aka the queen of the monsters). This is the book with the most exposition, but it's delivered in such interesting ways. The mystery continues to unravel (heh), the monster alphas and Violet go on a road trip, and we finally get some answers to Violet's questions. Ooh, and the curse breaking! At least, Damien's curse. Violet finally gets to play with a couple of her hot monsters. The slow burn is finally heating up! Anna would be so happy... I also like how the Neopry family is introduced/remembered. There are more monster people that are mistreated than just the omegas. Violet finds out what her ancestral monster is. I like her even more when she finds her heritage and her purpose in life. I adore the way a little bit of Greek mythology and some of my favorite movie monsters are woven into the complex tapestry of the ATPM world. There are some typos and occasional grammatical errors throughout the series. It's sometimes distracting.

GOOD

We learn more things about the guys... uh, I mean the monsters and Violet. Learning along with her about her heritage wasn't easy. Especially, how she reacted to it. I may even cried along with her. And I was not impressed by the guys. The more I learn about them, the more... I didn't feel sorry for them about theirs curse. Much. You do pay for your sins and I don't have a problem with that part. But the more I learn about how they got to the part to get punished, the more I feel like they were a bunch of idiots. I'm just not sure if they hides behind excuses, because they are afraid to fully face it all or they really are dumb by still not seeing that they were an idiots. And they for sure love to hide behing 'it was different times' and that's may be true, but also a lot of things stayed the same to this day. Its kinda ironic, really. They may aren't aware sometimes that they look down on Violet or anyone else for that matter with that 'She's young.' condescending comment, but so far as I saw all these years didn't made them that smart either on some things. She had a good points that she pointed out to them and they really didn't liked it, because, yeah, it's pointed out how everything knowing and smarter they are not.

Book 3 and it just keeps getting better

I love this series more and more with each book I read. Didn't think it was possible, but it's true!! If you can't handle suspense and mystery this is not the right fit for you. Sweet baby Jesus! More sex, threesomes a thank you, more lies, deceit, plans, hordes, father issues, confusing Marta plans and Idun is coming back of My!!! This was so dang good!!! Petty Betty wants to note that we have to get on the same page about the word empathetic....it's so confusing! I'm a little confused as to why Arion is made out to be really evil and yet he hasn't done anything bad plus he still hasn't gotten the girl! I really like Shera and the wolf omegas! I stillllll miss Anna! I love this story and can't wait for the next book! Thank you to the author for putting them out every 3 weeks. That way it's still kinda fresh in my head, if an author waits 6 months guess what I done forgot about it!!!

Gaining steam on the interest train again

So far I’ve like this book the best in the series. Questions are finally being answered with some sort of sense and secrets are finally being exposed. I am still on the fence about continuing the series even though I enjoyed this book more than the previous 2. I find myself not liking the 4 men in Violet’s life. Their behavior and the things they say just has me rolling my eyes a majority of the time. They are bound and determined to keep their secrets from each other and Violet while expecting to have a relationship with her. Then to have all this doubt about their ex just doesn’t seem like a good foundation for Violet and her men’s relationships. Like I said, I don’t know if I will continue the series. While the plot is creative since I’ve never read anything with Gypsies before, I’m just not connecting with the characters or finding myself lost within the world created. I may just take a break from the series and try to come back to it at a later time.

Amazing

So I love this author but I really hate her right now. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers to.begin with and so far in this series this is the worst one so far. She has promised that the next book in the series will be out in February so that makes the hate a little less. I love this series. I am not a fan of RH but somehow that fits in with the story. It's not some random act that happens. I love the characters and I love the storyline. Can't wait to meet Idun - she sounds psycho. I love the fact that Violet is this badass Alpha chick who doesn't know she's badass....or that she is probably an Alpha of sorts IMO. Anyways buy this series and read it. You won't be sorry

Best RH series. Ever.

The All The Pretty Monsters series by Kristy Cunning is one of my favorite RH series. Funny, intense, and hot! These books have it all. The main character, Violet is a mystery through the first few books, quiet but strong. But later in the series, she is forced to become the baddest of badasses! Love her heart and fighting spirit. She’s like the Hulk of the supernatural world, avoiding the fight because she knows she’d win. I love the gypsy ties the author establishes in this world of supernatural characters, including Van Helsings, Vampires, Wolf shifters, Immortal Incubus, and more. Her harem is nicely balanced with a variety of personality types that don’t always get along, leading to some great tension. And they’re hot, so there’s that! But my favorite character of all is Anna, the horny ghost that haunts Violet and her men! She is hilarious- wiping away tears level of funny! One of the few series I will re-read, and worth every penny.

Wait For The Entire Series

WARNING: at this moment (3/5/19) 4 books in this series are published. Each book ends on a cliffhanger. My recommendation is DON'T DO IT! Do not purchase these books...now. Wait for the series to be completed because these books are like crack. You can't read just one. Oh no. They take over your life. I couldn't stop. But I had to stop because THERE. ARE. NO. MORE. BOOKS. OUT. NOW. The story line is unique. The characters compelling. The writing top-notch. These books are NOT stand alone. You must read each book in order or you will be very confused very quickly. This is an epic series and I cannot wait for the next to come out.

Apples and Oranges

Another amazing installment to the series. You finally learn some of the bigger secrets, like what Violet actually is. Well, mostly anyway. Of course, more questions were brought up, so there's still plenty more to learn. I think Arion surprised me the most towards the end of the book, but it was a good thing... I think. We'll have to find out in the next book, which I will be impatiently waiting for, even though it comes out next month. This one does end in a cliffhanger, but Kristy (C.M.) softens the blow by giving us the first chapter of the next book. This series is a must read if you like RH or even if you've never tried it before!

Oh all the pretty monster

How am I still so hooked on these books that I want to re read them all right away incane I missed something! Cause she is just that good! God all the pretty words! I love these books and I am not big on cliffy books or long running once about the same people ... but somehow Kristy drags me in and makes me want more right away! Love these new chapter to there story as crazy as it is. For some reason I love Arion the most his crazy ass! The side charactors get a great senes in this book as well. Love everything. You really can't say much about what is going on in this book tho Vilote gets a more clear picture on who she is or more like what you might say. The guy get slap upside the head adn lots os steamy stuff.. With some kicking ass inbetween

Yay!

If you were someone looking for answers, this is the book for you. If you were looking for more action, this book is for you. If you were looking for the guys to treat Violet better, this is the book for you. This was a great read. My biggest trouble right now is if I should read all 3 books again right now. I really like this author, and the way she's releasing these books and the story. For once I don't want to give away spoilers, I recommend trying this book if you enjoyed the other 2. We get a lot more story progression, we understand the curse more, a little more about Violet and the guys. Action, the guys having to work a little, her being stronger, her standing up for herself. This book made me go book two, who that?

Quite the pleasantly unexpected

I have to give Kristy Cunning top stars. It is not very often that I find a series to enjoy that can so thoroughly surprise me with such unantisipated yet so obvious right-in-front-of-your-face twists that you never even realize it until she hits you with it. I admit I was wary of a reverse hatem story about 'pretty monsters' especially when the description seemed more misleading. But after having so thoroughly enjoyed her Four Psychos series And being so intrigued by her delightful spin of 5 such unforgettable characters, I decided to give this one the benefit of the doubt. Never been happier to find such an amazingly twisted and imaginative writer. It takes a great mind to spin an old tale into such a new light that you really start to rethink about such characters in a new light and pov so entirely.

Simple gets sexy

Book 3 and I still have yet to figure out why I want to read more of this series. Your writing is still scattered as all heck with random crap flying all over the place but I simply can't stop reading. Yep, I still hate you. Lol. Although I'm glad Violet is no longer a pathetic sit-and-spin doormat I could've done without knowing she's a freaky kinky sex fiend. But you told us tastefully, ended it with humor to cut the awkwardness, and gave a new perspective on how to see eh hem .... Simpletons. Lol dang lol

O.M.G!!! Amazing

I am obsessed with this series! I have read the first three books nonstop since I opened the first book! I am such a fan of this author and I loved her last series more than I thought possible, but this series...this heroine....these guys....it’s the best! It’s one of those books that you think about the entire time your not reading! I stayed up late for nights just to know what was going to happen next. Violet is an amazing heroine. She is tough and clueless and everything I wanted in my leading lady. And each boyfriend is so different and developed. I was transported to a world of magic and gypsies and I am enjoying the ride! Please give me more! So much more of Violet and her guys. Swoon.

Keeps getting better!

I couldn't put down book 3! This series keeps getting better with every book which you think is impossible when your reading one of these books. Secrets are coming out and the pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together. As well as the relationship with Violet and the Alphas. Honestly I really have fallen hard for Arion's crazy a$$. Plus with Violet around the Alphas are finally wanting to be Alphas instead of passively strolling through their immortal lives. I usually only get books on my kindle but when these are all on paperbacks, I will be buying them all! This series is that addicting!!

I love these characters!!!!

The one thing I love about this series are its characters. It's hard to feel anything but love for them. They are funny, charming, sweet and protective. This series is full of surprises, steamy scenes and secrets that are constantly being revealed. Although I do wish that they were revealed a bit faster. I find the pace of the story slow but this author has the talent of writing stories in a way that keeps you wanting more. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

An origin read!

She's finally closer than ever to having all the answers... So long as no new secrets emerge... Wonderful story. Great world building. Mystery. Intrigue. Secrets. Action. Drama. I'm just so glad I have the whole series because these cliffhangers are just so whacked! Full of monsters, gypsies, secrets, death, ghosts, humour and a hint of romance. Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.

I need more Violet!

Another amazing installment to the series! You finally learn some of the bigger secrets, like what Violet actually is. Well, mostly anyway. Of course, more questions were brought up, so there's still plenty more to learn. I think Arion surprised me the most towards the end of the book, but it was a good thing... I think. We'll have to find out in the next book. This one does end in a cliffhanger, but Kristy (C.M.) softens the blow by giving us the first chapter of the next book. This series is a must read if you like RH or even if you've never tried it before!

This series is CRAZY GOOD!!

Author Kristy Cunning😘 does not know how to write a mediocre series! I find myself reading book after book when it comes to her series. The characters are so much fun and the stories are engrossing and enjoyable. I freaking love Violet and the "boys" and as their adventures unravels and the secrets come to light I cannot wait to see how Violet will squirm her way out of the mystery and mess that is her life.

Whoa

I say whoa because truth bombs start dropping all over this book. It's a rain of truth. We finally learn what Violet is, but it seems there's even more to it than that. Violet's dad also knows way more than Violet ever realized and I'm liking her mother less and less. On the flipside, I'm liking Shera more and more. I'm so glad that chapter one of book four was included because I wasn't expecting that ending. I like that Vance, Emit and Damien are finally fixing things with Violet, though they still slip up. Now that Arion knows what he knows, hopefully he gets his act together as well. I am seriously loving this series.

Rarely give 5 stars to a series

I rarely give 5 stars to a series before it is over as I do not know how the overall arc will be. Each one of the books in this series are so interesting, I have to give it a 5. You think about what could happen. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. That is fun. I enjoy the characters. Each is nicely flawed. I dislike when the main characters are so perfect. Not all interesting. Love the series, and each book is put out in a timely manner.

These are just too dragged out

I want to love these and I keep reading them but honestly the storyline is so dragged out. In my opinion there is not enough actual plot. It is all long drawn out conversations between the characters. All four of these books could have been told in two books, or possibly one. I wish the author would add more to the storyline then pages and pages of the characters discussing Violet vs Idun or whatever else. When something finally does happen, it's a cliffhanger and you have to buy the next book.

She's just. . . Ugh

I would really like this series of it weren't for the back & forth internalization of Violet. Does she like them or doesn't she? She's all over one and the next minute she is pushing him away. It's like high school with the "I don't like you" phrases, but "come chase me" body language. No wonder the Alphas are all confused. I get that they are hundreds of years old, but she plays them. The girl needs to just stick to her guns when it comes to her feelings.

Wow!

So many questions were answered, but this led to more questions! These cliffhangers are driving me bonkers and things are so twisty that I’m still a bit confused, even though this is book 3. However, I can stop reading this series! I wanted to wait until the entire series was complete, before I began reading it, but there were too many recommendations to ignore and Four Psychos is a fave of mine.

Violet

...and the plot thickens After 3 books I'm not even slowing down just the opposite These books draw you in omg Lacking sleep big time but who needs sleep if you can read books like these, right ? These books definitely are a MUST READ OR ELSE Running off to number 4...with haste Glorius writing

Curiouser and curiouser

I swear as soon as you unravel one secret there are more waiting to spring up! Just like the previous books I was completely wrapped up in Violet's world and couldn't put my kindle down. I loved all the answers that were revealed in this book but as I said, there are several more to go. That was probably the biggest cliffhanger of all the books so far and I am anxiously awaiting the next book!

OH MY!!

I literally yelled "NO!" When I finished this book. I did not want it to end one bit. I love this series so much. I may have also thrown my phone down (luckily on the couch) at one part because I had thought I had it all figured out and then something else was thrown in. This series is addictive and amazing.

Noooo

First of all I’m mad I read the bonus chapter because it did not help with the cliff hanger. I am so invested in the story and then it just ended. I’m so ready for Shera to know about Violet. And all the back story that was given. Woo woo. I’m so not acclimating fast enough for everything that is hitting me for this story.

Violet!

Eep!! Insert all the cuss words here lol This book was amazing and epic and all the dang things I love about reading. That ending has me feeling stabby but the bonus chapter helped with that a whole heck if a lot. Violet's world just got hella lot more intense and complicated. This book just like all its predecessors sucked me in and took me along for a wild unpredictable ride. It was excellent and the wait for the next book will be excruciating but thankfully short. I can't wait!

Well hot damn!

Sheeessshh! Kristy! You did it again with this book and just blew my mind! I loved learning about the back story of Violet and watch as she inches closer to the alphas while also learning more about her world! So good. Freaking so good! Gah! Plus... awesome audiobook!

Finally getting some answers!!!

Ok with this book their where times I had to pause then come back to it because I felt it was taking to long to finally state who our Gypsy girl is. I been waiting so long to discover this and is finally here. Other then that the story is good is just their is still many unanswered questions and I hope it don’t take long to find out!!

Gypsy Origins

The title is pretty self edplanatory what this book in the series is about: all our main character's origins. We get a clearer picture (though not all of it) of how all this started. We also learn more about Violet and it ends on quite the cliffy. Book 4!

Another great book!

This is not a standalone book and for those who care, it does end in a cliffhanger. I loved the book as more questions were answered and I can’t wait for the next one! The author initially mentioned the series would be 5 books, but it could be more. Next one out is in February!

Really!

These so called Alphas are clueless and I'm not a fan of Tom (Violet's dad) either. All of these men fighting amongst themselves on how to use Violet and Violet is running around trying to save everyone but herself. My head hurts so I'm going to bed.

No terrible but..

I liked the story line, it was an interesting spin. I even liked the characters. They were well defined and intriguing. But all the monologue, switching from character to character, literally put me to sleep. Very little action. And I'm not talking about the steamy kind.. I read each of the first three books in the series, hoping the next would be different. But they were the same. Don't think I can do the fourth book.

Arion is book boyfriend Material

Kristy has a unique way of world building. We are still learning of the world here and I don’t mind it. We discover it with violet, it feels authentic. I love Arion. Seriously, adore him! Lol Great read and I highly recommend you read this.

Gypsy Origins

Book 3 of All The Pretty Monsters - you’ve got to read them in order! The pace and excitement throughout this book is phenomenal- and this one gets a bit steamier than the first two! definitely one of my new favorite series!

Fanfuckingtastic

This series is amazing. The author crafts a world where you want to be a monster, I didn't even know that was possible!?! This series made me laugh, cry, shake my head in confusion, and have second hand embarrassment. It truly is a perfect series. It also wasn't predictable in the least, it kept me guessing until the very end. Magnificent.

Best series ever!!!

This series is seriously my all time favorite! There are 6 books in the series and the last book blew my mind, in the best way. If you haven't read any of the All the pretty monsters books, I would definitely suggest starting off on the first book.

Book3

I cant get enough of this series!!!! Every time you think you are grasping what is about to happen, Kristy has a new twist that has you on the edge of your seat as your jaw drops in anticipation. Cant wait to see what else Kristy has up her sleeve for these four sexy alphas and the sweet Violet...

Love this series !

This series just keeps getting better the more I read the more I love :) for people interested in reading this series please do yourself a favor and read it, you will not be sorry I promise. This book is the perfect balance of everything the supernatural genra that I love.

Wow

Just when I thought I understood the basic world of the storyline, things just continue to become more complicated. As more secrets are unveiled Violet and her monsters are increasingly intriguing. I can’t wait to read the next book!

It took me only a few hours to finish this book on the day it was released!!

The story continues to unfold. It’s an amazing world that is being created as all this information is thrown at you. There are now more unanswered questions than before! You must have patience as you read but it is worth it!!

What an awesome series

Each book has me laughing and caught up in all the characters and action. When I say that these books are pure entertainment... BELIEVE ME! I can't seem to put them down. I cannot wait for the next book.

Exellent

Kristy, I have Said it before, you are a brilliant storyteller and the way you make your stories unravel and glide.... I have no words...... So to other readers, buy it, you wont be disappointed

5 stars for book 3

A continuation for Violet and her four Monsters. As with the other 2 books this one grabs you and continues the Gypsy ride. I did get confused a couple of times but stuck with the story, explanations occur as you go on. Looking forward to book 4.

Great writing

Oh boy the intrigue continues and some answers have been shared but man this book kept me spellbound. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers but this series is an exception. Really great writing.

Love this series!!

So many revelations and secrets unveiling! Its fascinating. The threesome scene...🔥🥵 I'm disappointed in Arion. He needs to really rethink his life choices 😏

Everyone has their own monster to deal with.

Girl I wish I had an inner monster that would protect me in the event of shady situations. She may not know what she is, but I for one cannot wait to find out.

Another amazing book in the series

This series just keeps getting better. Secrets unravel, truths come to light and Violet just becomes more badass. No cowering heroine here, she does not have time for for that, when the snowball runs down hill, it can only pick up speed. Can’t wait for the next book.

This series just gets better

I'm like 80% through but decided to review now because I love this book (and series) so much. The pacing is spot on, and I will say as a KU subscriber that I will always pre-order/purchase your work because I know I'll always be in for a well-written, complex, and swoon-worthy story. Thanks for sharing your talent.

So much!!

Love it!! The story gets better and better. Will she make it! So much! I need to know what else is she capable off. So far the series is great.

Oh.. em.. gee..

Where to begin with this book.. well I absolutely love it and the series so far. Violet and the boy you just never know what’s going to happen. This book has literally kept me at the edge of my seat and I still have more to go. If you have not read this book I would definitely get on that right now.

Very addictive!

It's like there are secrets behind the secrets! I love just wondering what's going to happen next and can't wait to read the next book to see what road it takes me down!

Great continuation in the series

We continue to learn more about what Violet is and the history the alpha have with Idun and the other gypsies. Several twists and turns and it ends on a cliffhanger. I keep getting drawn in to their lives and can't wait to read what else happens.

Keeps getting better!!

Book 3 was amazing! I'm sad that I have to now wait for book 4, Kristy Cunning better be ready for another Stalker Fan. Lol! If you haven't read four psychos go read it now while waiting on book 4.

Love it!!!!

OMG! Love this series! Cannot wait until the next book. This series will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. All of these hot alphas and the one little gypsy that just keeps learning about all the things going on will definitely keep your interest. Please hurry up with the next book!

Excellent

Another great book in this series! I'm already starting book number four I'm really going miss these books when I finish the last one.

Pretty Perfect

I chose a 4 rating because there isn't much to add that would make this a perfect book for me. More romantic, drawn-out, feel good sex. Thhats about it. Really some great fun to pass time with, thank you.

Amazing Series

This is one of the best series I've read. This is my favorite book. Excellent writing, funny, emotional and very talented.

Every Book is Amazing!

I can't say enough great things about C.M! Once again she killed it and wrote another amazing book. This series is awesome and I'm loving every minute of it!

Phenomenal read!

I’m more hooked into this series with each book I read. February release can’t come soon enough!!! Violet’s mystery is unraveling as sure as her clothes when she’s in a tricky situation.

Character Development

The development of the characters get deeper as the story unfolds with the revelations of the past. The books keeps you wondering how the future will turn out with all the characters you are learning about and the ones who have not showed up yet.

Gypsy Origins

I can't get enough of this series! Each book creates more questions even as it gives answers. Is it love; is it lust; is it obsession? Who is the villain? Who is the hero? I can't wait for book 4!!

All The Stars

I have no idea how this author does it, but all the stars all the way. Phenomenal writing. I can't say enough how much I enjoy this series. Not shocked because everything I've read from this author is beyond a 5 star read. So excited for more of this series!

Can't get enough of this series!

I just can't get enough of this series! I love all the characters, the storyline, the drama and intrigue. I got this book as soon as it went live and devoured it. I can't wait for book 4 next month and was devastated when I ran out of pages. Keep bringing on the monsters!

Still awesome on to book 4

See title. Amazon wants more words which is really just ridiculous. Awesome says it all Amazon. Less is more sometimes.

O.M.G!!

I really really love this series!! I also can't decide if the teaser chapter at the end was more awesome or more cruel!! I am so happy that the next book comes out this month or I might just turn into a simpleton monster and start tearing things apart! 😆

Amazing story

This story keeps you hooked from book one to book three. You cant put it down. Waiting on your seat for the next book to come out. Kristy (C.M Owens) did such a amazing job as always. The characters are so enticing and you want to know them and find all the hidden secrets.

I’m confused..

I’m so confused as to what the hell is going on. I feel like I missed something. And when did Violet start thinking she was an omega and why? I don’t get it..

Lots of cliffies

Intriguing series, but the cliff hangers are killing me. Not a typical reverse harem and fascinating plot twists. Just hope the next book answers some of those burning questions. Wondering if we'll get to see Idun return.

Living this series

I just wish it didn't seem so stretched out, it makes me wonder how many more book there will be and whether I will stay with it. The books seem to drag more.

Amazing series, just read!

I am so in love with this series. Violet is an awesome MC, and I'm so glad that she is learning how to accept her monster. Can't wait for the next book.

Oh man that ending. AGAIN

Wow this book. It gave us so many answers...and so many more questions! Loved the steam level, as well as the flashing out of all the relationships. Three weeks needs to hurry up and go by!

Another great addition to this series

Love love love C.M Owens and all her pin names. I will read any and every book she writes. I am loving this series and all it characters, the unexpected twist and turns and just everything. All four of the guys are amazing and trying to figure out Arion’s thinking and true feelings had my head spinning in a good way. Can’t wait until the next book.

Exciting Continuation

This book is pivotal in the series and readers should pay attention to the details. LOVED IT! Keeps your attention throughout the story!

A steamy thrill ride.

One gypsy, four sexy Alpha's, action, suspense and plenty of steamy moments to keep you thoroughly glued to every page.

Totally awesome series

I am so hooked on this series and I am finding it extremely difficult to put the books down at all. I am avavidly awaiting book four please hurry up.

Damn it.

Hooked. And we have to wait😩. I do hope the author continues to write many installments. This series totally rocks.

One of my favorites!

This series is getting more and more intense with every book. Thank god the next one will be out soon!

Don't tell the secrets. Even dad knows a few of them. Curses and apples and oranges oh my! Book 4 here I come.

The beginning is the end...maybe

I loved learning more about the characters in this book! By far, Violet is still my favorite...but I’m leaning towards two of guys a little more. Above all, amazing book! Loving this series!

My favorite world!

I will never get tired of reading this story!

Engrossing plot, steamy scenes

The sex scenes are hot without being graphic and the plot keeps you guessing until the very last page is done.

One of the best series I’ve read

This is by far one of the BEST series I have read in a long time! I’m not going to give anything away but the spoiler chapter at the end just makes me wish it was February already so I can binge read the next book!!!

Good book

Really good book. It’s been a long time since a series pulled me in like this. Can’t wait for the next one.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

I am truly enjoying this series, very different from the norm. Edgy suspence with surprising twists everywhere. Fast pased reading that leaves you wanting more.

Easy read, perfect for summer.

Love this series! All the books are easy to read and just a fun way to spend time. My only complaint is that book 5 doesn't exist. The series just stopped with no word on when the next book is coming.

What can I say ?

What more can I say that I haven’t already. I love this series and this book does not disappoint. So ready for book 4.

A must read

Start at the first book and just keep reading. Your in for at good ride. I stayed up all night to read all 3 books, just couldn't stop reading. The 4th book can't Come to soon...

Absolutely love it!

Love! Love! Love! I can't wait for the next book! I love how with your writing I'm always sucked into the book as if I'm there in the story!

Bring on 4

OK. Holding my breath for the next installment. Hurry please. And thanks for mercifully giving us the first chapter of book 4.

Jaw dropping

Addictive and heart stopping. Must read for anyone who loves paranormal. Such an amazing story that keeps you on your toes.

Amazing!!

I need the next book like yesterday! So many things going on at the same time, kept me turning the page. Love how the plot just thickens each chapter.

Loving this series!

This is an extremely addictive story to read. I love books that retell stories in a different way and this series definitely does that and more.

Definitely recommend

Excellent storytelling. This author has quickly became one of my top 5 favorite authors. The story pulled me in and I fell in love with the characters!

Next pls

Just keeps getting better

Amazing

It's almost 4 am and I could not stop myself from finishing this book! Everything this woman writes is magic!!!!

Must read

I love this series! It’s funny, a little twisted and a great read

AWESOME

This is fantastic and I can't wait for the next book!! I am in love with the dynamic between them all!

Even better

This series gets better with each book. I highly recommend it. Can't wait for the next one to come up.

Best new thing ever!

SO MUCH LOVE!!!

Loved it!

The series so far has been full of action and heat. It doesn't get boring and I don't want to stop reading. I love the characters!

My new favorite author

Perfect blend of action, romance and humor. I've been reading each of these books in 2 days or less, I can't put them down!

Good, but

It’s good but it’s starting to feel redundant. It also feels like the author is just wandering around aimlessly. And introducing new legends and new aspects to legends randomly, as well as new villains to keep pushing to more books instead of wrapping it all up. And Violet is just too willing to let things happen TO her. I don’t feel like she’s a heroine. This book again ends on a cliffhanger and the author states she doesn’t really know how many books will be in this series. Again it all feels so random and like the author is making it up as she goes along rather than having a strong arc for both the story and the characters. And by book three that is really starting to show.

3.5- The more I understand, the more I also wonder...

OK- I know these books are being released in a wonderfully fast pattern, only a few weeks in between, but I still feel like I should be doing a series reread before each comes out. Cunning is crafting this incredibly layered plot; every mystery has depth to it, and my brain is finding itself in the unique position of wondering whether I'm really understanding everything that's going on. Really, I'm quite perplexed because I read complex novels often, and my brain is usually more reliable. So we've got...What is Violet? How'd the Portocale curse truly come about? What's going on with Violet's mother? Is Arion to be trusted or is he as insane and shifty as the past seems to argue? How can the curse be lifted? Will Idun ever come back? Why's Shadow Hills always having this weird weather? What's going on with the ghosts? In summary- basically, we've got a sh*t-ton of questions; yes, I'm deciding that's a real unit of measurement. With all of these questions, we're getting answers in drips here and there, in a story shared piece by piece as the Alphas choose to enlighten Violet. Not to mention, the Alphas don't always have the best communication, so some of them have revelations while others are left in the ignorant dust. So, it's a lot to keep track of. While part of my uncertain understanding could be due to some story organization, I also feel like this is a bit of a "me" problem as well, so I don't want to urge readers away from Gypsy Origins. In any case, I did enjoy GO, and I DO plan to read the next book in the series. Although my brain's on a little bit of delicate footing with this series, I still find the monsters, mythos, and world-building intriguing and original. My favorite aspects of GO was getting a more solid footing on what Violet is since I was worried that mystery would be dragged out much longer as well as the understanding we're starting to develop about the Portocale curse the creative ways it affects each of the Alphas. Violet is as sassy, stubborn, and defiant as usual; her personality just honestly causes the most delightful confusion and frustration in the equally frustrating Alphas that gather around her. I still think that Vance is ahead as my favorite of the men, but I'm being won over by Emit, and I have to admit that I do find Arion to be fascinating. I'm torn between wanting to think he can be much more than who/what he presents as and wondering whether my trust will be totally misplaced in the long run. Overall, Gypsy Origins was a worthwhile read, and the series is a fitting investment for readers' time. I'm going to keep following through the series because I want to see how the answers to all of my questions pan out, and I'm definitely encouraging others to do the same.

Starting to get very very very confusing

Gypsy Origin is the third in the series and I’ve officially hit confusion overdrive. I highlighted this sentence particularly right at the beginning: “If I’m clearly an omega, then I’m going to have to learn what different rules apply to apples and oranges.” This implies that A) Violet is aware she is an omega and B) We should have known as well. But in fact, it is never mentioned in book two and the fact that we start book three with this nice little tidbit gave me a clue on how confused I was going to be. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy this story because it has so much more plot than just ya know…. sexy times like other reverse harem books (in fact, this one has almost as much plot sans sexy time as the Ghost Bird series which is my favorite RH series.) but the way things are left out for the reader is starting to really rub me the wrong way. I personally can’t tell if it’s just the author so excited that she types these books out not realizing we are missing key points in the plot (because authors sometimes do this, after all they know the plot better than anyone so sometimes it’s easy to forget that your audience does not know what you know) or if we are supposed to be this clueless like Violet. Most of this book takes place over a few days and this is the first book where the multiple point of views gets confusing and tedious. All the men at the end of this book know Violet’s secret and we finally actually learn what type of monster she is! It’s actually really interesting and surprising, I don’t think I’ve ever read a book about a Frankenstein’s monster. The little hints make sense now which was funny because in the first two books I didn’t understand why the author kept mentioning things like lightening, ghosts, metal, etc. Now it all makes sense. There is also a huge bombshell at the end about Violet’s mother but again, I don’t really understand the importance just that it’s supposed to be a huge deal. Overall it was another quick read and Damian is still probably my favorite but I enjoyed Emit a lot this book! Here’s hoping the fourth book fills us in on the confusing bits.

So done!

I started this "series" not realizing it wasn't a standalone. Ok, I do indulge in "series" from time to time but!!! They are complete books which expand on the lives of a certain group of characters NOT one cliffhanger after another after another! And with the author apologizing at the end of each one, she obviously knows most readers hate being left "hanging", until such time as the next one gets released, whatever the time frame. The least she could do is put a "this is not a standalone" note on the first book like I noticed was finally on the 4th one. To me this is just a way to trap readers into buying more books. Well I will buy more books from a good author without being blackmailed into it. It is a shame because these four or five or six or however many books could have been a really good trilogy but now they are long drawn out ramblings with a lot of verbiage repeated over and over just to make them long enough to be called a book. Don't get me wrong I have a lot of K.C.s books which I have really enjoyed but no more of this. The supposed Alphas have devolved into whiney sex crazed teenagers with no concern for much of anything else and the h is no longer, in my opinion, even a C student. I gave this book three stars out of respect for an author I usually like, usually.

Getting Better!

Ok, so this book was in fact much, much better than book 2, however, I feel like now we have entered into one of those stories where random things are thrown in to cover up the plot holes, and now the story is just kind of way out there and seems like it is going to go on for freaking ever.... Yea its a travesty because I really felt like we were working with something great but it is now kind of all over the place for me, and Anna is still gone.... In all actuality, even though now we know a lot more about the situation, it took basically the whole book while we watched each characters individual reactions to the information.. and of course the bickering continues. *eye roll. I can't help but feel like we are getting tiny snippets of story and a whole lot of useless filler... Progressing at a slow roll most of the time. The other problem for me, is unfortunately Violet just really isn't the most like able character. She is just meh for me, so the dragging it out is not helping, and its like the author is trying to force some humor or something on her and it is just awkward. I don't know the pieces just aren't fitting together very well and its like they just decided to hammer them in and roll with it. So.... in short.. there were a couple of reveals.. that took the entire book to finally make it around to everyone... Violet has decided the to bring back the witch.. and then bam cliffhanger and a supposed threat from someone who is supposed to be dead? At least that is where I'm at. In truth it was better than book 2, in that it at least made some kind of sense, but I'm not about this dragging stuff out forever. I like to feel like we got somewhere after reading like 400 pages.. just saying. I don't know whether to be on the lookout for book 4 or not.. might wait till books 5-10 come out just in case I need to skip a few to get to the end *wink.

Really enjoyable, if not a bit confusing at times.

This book did NOT disappoint! In fact it blew my mind... 🤯 Mind blown from information, so much information! In most series you get a lot of info early on. However, with how this series progressed it just feels utterly perfect and natural as you're reading those scrumptious details you've been dying to find out! Yes, I would have loved to have them sooner but the way it played out I do think there is great re-reading value to catch all the things you might not have put together the first time around. There are no words for Violet, except I love her character so much! Ace/Arion, Damian, Vance, and Emit... It's a true testimant to the author's amazing writing ability because I have loved each of their characters and I've hated them each! They can be so utterly ridiculous, removed from reality, shallow, harsh, narcissistic to name a few things... But, I still love them when it's their time to shine. That's life right? No one is 100% perfect and I enjoy seeing character flaws sometimes as it draws me in to the story even deeper. This series is now a part of my all time favorites! There are no other words I could use to express how truly wonderful it is. The world building and character development is excellent!

so good I'm going nuts for book 4

Gypsy Origins (All The Pretty Monsters Book 3)Kindle Edition by Kristy Cunning First – I read this book via Kindle Unlimited Second – I binged the first three books (all that were available at the time) in a single all night binge and so, there may be a bleed over. Third – these books are not standalone. There are cliffhangers and very little to no information front load. I highly suggest either reading them all at once or re-reading before you start the next book because you will be confused. But it is really, really worth it! Origins is the most action packed of All the Pretty Monsters, both in the bedroom and the battlefield. Violet is searching for answers, feeling as if she were a snowball racing down hill. She is trying to put together all the clues as to who and what she is. She does all of this at the same time she is fighting off, with her men, a horde of Omega wolves intent on overthrowing the current world order. She does all of this while falling in love with, fighting with and forgiving three of her men. As I don't do spoilers, there isn't much more of the plot that I can give away. So... Violet is one of the smartest heroines out there and her tongue is sharper than her monsters' fangs. She is a passionate lover and smarter than she is willing to give herself credit as she puts all the misshapen puzzle pieces together in her mid-twenties while her men, now more than one half a millennium old, miss the key clues. Ms. Cunning does a fantastic job with both the battle scenes and the smexy scenes, although in a couple of cases, I kind of got lost of who was whom and where we were physically. A great next chapter. Even though I am ready to slam my head against the wall because CLIFFHANGER! I am giving this another 5 out of 5 stars and sending up a prayer for the next book to come up in Feb 2019 as promised.

This book has a bit of everything and will keep you interested and hooked

I loved this series!!! I love her other reverse harem more, Pace is my favorite. This book is brilliant though, all the characters are unique and interesting. I promise that there is no series like this one. If you like to read the unique, the original, romantic, funny and heart stopping mystery that is this book, Kristy Cunning delivers. I pay for Amazon books for a reason and this is a great one. If you like Reverse Harem, maybe even if you don't, this was such a fun read. It kept me on my toes when I usually feel like I have a series figured out. I love, love, love this author. I wish I had something as witty and great to say to describe this series, but I am (unfortunately) a reader, not a writer. If I can convince you to give this series a tr, you would make my day! 😉 Kristy if you read this I love you! I can't wait for what your imagination delivers next. I am super impressed and lucky to have found your series. This was educational too, I am working on boundaries which embodies Violet, our heroine, who also reminds me that there are a lot of types of heros (I still love Pace more). Thank you 💗

Brilliant!!!

This is book 3 and yes, you do have to read the other 2 first or this book will make no sense at all. We follow Violet and the four alphas on this road to her discovery as to who she is and where she comes from. I did not think this series could get better and then this book arrived and I could not have been happier. Kristy has done another amazing job at keeping me engaged, excited, getting all the feels and sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation all at the same time. The sex scenes in this book are off the chain and be aware that there is a little ménage à trois action and I can tell that it is only going to get better in the books to come. I absolutely could not put this book down and now I'm waiting as patiently as possible for the next book!

4.5 stars

I am enraptured with this series, and it has me sucked in waiting with anticipation for the next installment. Since once again Cunnings ended on a cliffhanger! UGGH! Unfortunately for me, the next book isn’t published yet. In Gypsy Origins we are Finally starting to get answers. Not all the answers and there are even more questions that come up but answers none the less. Hallelujah! There are funny moments in this one but none so funny as Anna and some really sad moments. A lot of danger and action that is intense. But the piece de resistance is the sexy times. Cunnings starts lighting the pages on fire in book three. I love and hate it that she doesn’t make it more of the sole focus. I want more sexy times yet more would change the feel of the story, so there is the perfect amount. I always wish there were more. Hehehe. The only negative I’m finding is the writing isn’t always clear about what is going on or who is speaking. It gets a bit convoluted, and I will have to go back and re-read passages. But all in all, I am enjoying the hell out of this series, and I want more now! I am rating Gypsy Origins 4.5 Boundless stars.

Spoilers: I really liked this series until

I loved this story until you get to the part where the author starts to explain what creature she is. I take issue with how she explained Frankenstein’s monster. The monster was not nor ever has been an idiot, unless you have only ever watched Hollywood’s version of Frankenstein and never even read the Great Illustrated Classics of Frankenstein. Frankenstein’s monster was very learned and extremely smart, more so than Dr. Frankenstein. Having the lead female character equated to Frankenstein’s monster and then saying that the “Neopry Simpletons” are also based on the monster is in my opinion an insult to Mary Shelley's masterpiece. I had a hard time with the story after this part was revealed and had a difficult time finishing this book because all I could think about was how wrong the author was with her imagining of the Frankenstein story. I am not sure if I will finish the series because I was extremely disappointed with how the author explained and demeaned Frankenstein’s monster.

Freakishly Twisted and Absolutely Amazing

Freakishly Twisted and Absolutely Amazing The author must have a very sick and twisted sense of humor. If you make it to the last book you will see what I mean; it gets really crazy. The Erotic scenes were pretty good too- detailed enough to have you right there with them. I felt like a voyeur. Now here are my critiques. I got tired of hearing the name Eden and how afraid everyone was. "Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.”- J.K. Rowling and that is the theme of all of the 6 books. The people gave Eden too much and only fed her monster. But after mentioning her name every other paragraph it gets to be too much. Also, I listened to the audiobooks and if i had the opportunity to actually read I would have enjoyed more because the male voice is horrid. I love Jim Dale who is also British but this guy blows. I eventually got over it because the story is just that good. I haven't read/listened to such a twisted and entertaining tale in a while..... I am now going to start Four Psychos, also by this author.

Awesome!

There is something about this series that just draws you in and keeps you reading, even when the answers aren’t coming as fast as you hoped. In this book, we finally learn more about Violet and the Alphas, but you know there is still A LOT to figure out - both for ya and for Violet. You need, repeat NEED to read the other two before you dive into this novel... this is far from s standalone and nothing will make sense if you jump ahead. Pros: - Violet: she’s flat out amazing, and has a compassionate heart big enough to unravel a mystery a thousand years in the making. - the dialogue: quick, witty and highly entertaining, the words fly between explanations, confusion and insults. Perfect. - The picture is getting clearer, though still foggy to the reader. - bombshells drooped, bombshells dropped!!!! - book 4 in February! Cons: - some parts were confusing and I felt I missed a few things previously? - it’s convoluted.... but so are the gypsies. - book 4 is not till February. 🥺🙇♀️🙀

4.7! Monstrously good!

I have been giving 5 stars up to this point o! This book was mostly informative but it was great to finally get some more answers and also to see her having fun with some of the guys and breaking one of their curses! Wow! So by the end ...that store scene...it was a great lead up to some hardcore monster action which is sure to be in book four! I hope vamp Shera gets a guy she deserves because her current one doesn’t deserve her...ugh! Can’t wait to see how Violet and Arion turn out in the face of Idun and her comeback. Arion is insane in the membrane but he is really trying to understand how to get the band back together and get the girl. Lol *buckles seatbelt* I know I am in for a wild ride! I’m readyyyy! Book #4 here I come!

Thoughts from The Naughty Book Box Blog

Book 3 Gypsy Origins is by far my favorite of the series. Violet is taking less flack from the alphas. Sadly Anna is gone. Violet has proven a worthy force to be reckoned with, and Emit is keeping her secret. A secret that these smart alphas can figure out on their own with clues about Violets family that not even she understands. Even though no one really knows what Violet is, or what her alter ego looks like. Hellllllo sexy times. 3 out of 4 of the alphas have been with Violet and I'll say that those scenes do not disappoint. I don't want to give away too much as we're still going strong in the story. If you are reading this and have no read books 1 and 2. Shoo! Away with you. You're going to ruin it for yourself. *Flicks hand* Away! I'm not telling you what happens in this book because it will be spoiler city. What I can say is that book 4, I am anxiously awaiting for. See what I did there. Great book!

Boom

This book was good. It was also like a bomb of information that changes not just how we see the story but how each character does. Plans and beliefs start to shift and while we seem to have gotten plenty of answers we now have plenty more to ask. This book was also probably the hottest so far. I can just say I'd be okay with having my picture taken if I got to experience why they were taking lol. And I really hope we get more of that. But there's still plenty of action, mystery, paranormal and romantic aspects to keep things plenty interesting overall. And while this did end on another cliffhanger and I wouldn't even call it a happy for now ending it was a good, natural and palatable one to help drag us into the next book. Because seriously I need the book yesterday. So while I would definitely recommend this book prepare yourself to be hooked, trying to figure out all the secrets and anxiously awaiting the next book.

Complicated storyline

I’m all for a mystery and a crumb fed storyline but this is ridiculous. As soon as you think it starts making sense the author adds another plot line that makes no sense. It detracts from the overall flow of the story. I’m am A average student and I’m struggling for the gist. It’s to frustrating, I no longer care what’s happening. The reverse harem aspect, heck even the romance aspect has been pushed so far into the background I’m not even concerned if she is with anyone at the end.

Still goin' strong! I have faith.

So we are truckin' right along here, and I'm waiting impatiently on book 5. This was a good installment. Lots of vivid imagery, the breaking of the wards was cool as heck. The author swears the relationships/romance pick up in the 5th book, and I'm hoping that goes well. To date, it's got awesome characters that you really like but have no business being together. Like, at all. They are all round pegs trying to go into square holes, and none of them have any interest at all in whittling down their edges to fit. This includes the heroine. She's just as bad at relationships as they are, and is just as guilty of not investing or committing as they are. So, yeah, she's a right hypocrite at the moment. Hoping to see that clear up if not entirely, at least enough to make me stick this series out, in the fifth book. Writing is great. Plot is great. World is great. Characters are great. Just gone too far at the moment creating barriers between the characters preventing any actual emotional involvement. But hey, got the random hookup for no apparent reason, completely out of the blue, still unsure what brought it about and I'm actually going to go back to that hotel room scene now cause surely I missed some sort of segue.

This series keeps getting better

Every book in this series so far has been better than the last , just when I thought book one couldn’t be beat she proved me wrong with book 2 and now she’s proving me wrong again with book 3 ! Violet is such a complex character , all of the characters are really , even side characters don’t get treated in the traditional sense of just ‘being there ‘, they add to the story . This book has so many fascinating layers I can’t read fast enough , humor , romance , action , intrigue, brutality , this book has it all in spades and I can’t wait for the next .

The dance continues

Violet is learning more about herself every day. All these conversations going on around her drop clues and these clues are pulling together to fill in the puzzle. What she's discovering, though, is not what she's been told by the woman who told her to trust only her. And with this knowledge she's discovering just why she didn't want her to trust anyone else. It's all lies, her "history". Her dad is hiding something, too. Why is he around more all of a sudden? And is she really going to let the Alphas give this idea of her replacing Idun any merit? Violet may have to remain calm but she's not a doormat and being a stand-in sounds too much like doormat status. Spoilers ahead! I am loving this crazy series. Violet is a delightful mystery. Arion is an adorable pyschotic who dances on the remains of his enemies. Vance remains wary but is intrigued. Emit, for all his growls and fangs is a sweetheart. Damien, the charmer, wins smiles but is getting no closer to her heart. The guys being baffled by her is so much fun. I like that she has as many secrets as they do. I also love that her super power is fainting lol. All the parts of each book flows so wonderfully: the action, the conversations, the history and the interactions. It doesn't have one sole focus, which is why it works and flows from book to book.

I just want to scream, it's just so goood!

Okay it is just as amazing as book 1 and 2!! Omg...Kristin Cunning where have you been all my life?! I never felt so intense reading this Book. Sigh it's so good. This book is might be more on the slow burner side for me but I actually like it. I love how it isn't instant love but build up love. Lots of action going on that it is actually easy to read to understand it vs some books who puts too much thought to where I get lost how the action even work anymore lol. It's just pure amazing. I love this whole story is going for. I love how simple minded the main girl is. It's almost saying she is weak type of mc but then again she isnt at all! Omg just love Violet. Love her character, personality and everything else. Must read. Must read all books. I can't even stop blabbering how good it is. Kristin cunning you're the best.

Absolutely fantastic!

I'm going to start with the negative. I just want to get it out of the way. This is a series that is NOT a trilogy. I should have know that. My fault. I didn't look. I don't like book serieses that go on and on. I usually even avoid trilogies. I also never read books that are funny. Just not my thing. Doesn't mean those two things that are negative for me are a deal for you. And if they aren't, and even if they are, YOU MUST READ THIS SERIES. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I loved laughing. So hilarious!! I love the characters. I am so invested in them. I love the story. So so so glad I didn't pay enough attention when I started the first book. I probably wouldn't have started it and would have missed out on the awesome story. I just saw the five-star rating and thought, well, this must be a pretty darn good book. And I tell you, IT IS!! Read it!

If you are into monogamy stop at book one.

I stopped on chapter 9, I'm done. I thought I had found a new series to read. I will say that this is not my cup of tea. The reason I stopped reading Laurel K Hamilton is the reason I stopped reading Kristy Cunning. She turns a good character into a slut and incorporates it into her books. The story is good, I'm just not into random sex. Especially sex with ALL the main characters. One gypsy girl and four hot alpha males, that are friends. I repeat. Not my cup of tea. I can read soft porn for this.

Nxt book comes out in February!

There's sex. Several sex scenes, even one with anal. There's was alot more story telling than action in this book. And I still love the series, but it's been depressing since our slutty ghost met her end. You finally find out what Violet is. That cliffhanger was paaaaaiiiinnful (in the best ways), but luckily the author gave us the first chapter for the next book at the end. The next book comes out in February, it's finished. Authors not sure how long this series will go on, but it sounds like there will at least be another book after the one in February. Can't wait for the next book!

Yes yes!!!!

Yes!!! This is what I'm talking about ppl, give me the goods! The second book really had me about to give up, only for this 3rd book to come around and finally give me exactly what i so seriously needed, no lacking this time around and we got down to everything we needed answered. Oh and some serious yummy time with the men we hate but can't help love, they are getting a lot better in my eyes, and I didn't think it was possible. The ending was a cliffy, but an exciting one, I hope are girl goes hulk smash on everything, lol, I love how she's kinda soft but has a vicious monster ppl have to hide from to survive, it's hilarious. Yes this book is really starting to look up, let's hope it stays this way

Captivating

This series blows my mind at the type of story it is. It keeps you thinking with trying to figure out the puzzle as new information is given. Violet finally gets answer and pieces things together. Still more information is given and you can’t help thinking how they go with everything you already know. The the ending just... out of nowhere bring something different to the plate. So many secrets and so many plots... keeps you on your toes. A total mind **** . I did enjoy reading this. Some parts were confusing but in the end it did kept me want to also figure out what Violet is and how she is put into this story with the guys. Look forward to reading the next book in series.

Super fun twist on all the monster myths you think you know.

3rd book in the series, and this is where the building starts to really pay off. The characters are beginning to interact well, to the point that we don't hear as much from our heroine's perspective (which what lost a star for me: I want to know her best not hear about her from the observations of the guys). Some of the big mysteries get answers or get new clues, a few little ones get added, there are several "A-HA!" moments, and if you're reading this for the reverse harem interactions, the next logical level happens in this installment. It's a big, broad story with a massive and growing cast characters, and one of the better written of the choices on Kindle Unlimited. If the copious amounts of grammatical and colloquial errors found in many ebooks drives you crazy, this author is your friend, lol. You do need to read this series in order because the books roll right into each other like they're one massive novel. Click and enjoy!

Wow

So much new mind bending and powerful information. Not to mention heartbreaking as well, some parts of the history had me in tears because it was that intense. I'm kind of speechless at the world that's been created here. It's so amazingly complex, but so beautifully written. I'm falling in love with all the characters, especially our fab 5, each of them unique and so full of feelings. I don't know how to describe what I feel when I read this series, it's just indescribable. All I can say is that after I started this book, I got so lost in it that all I could do was read it all the way until the end with barely any mini 2 min breaks lol. Book 4, I'm waiting on you now <3

Pulls you in and just will not let go even after you reach the end of the book

So loving this author! I was lucky enough to find this author as soon as she released the first book under this pen name and after reading it with KU I purchased it as I've done for each book since. I love the dark and I love the laugh out loud moments that always hit me when I last expect them and leave me smiling long after. My only wish is the author would put these on pre-order so I can purchase and have them magically show up instead of having to stalk the author, but the books have been worth the time spent. I loved that she gave us the three week release date of the last two books and hope she continues to give us them although on this book and just said February so I'll be back to every few days checking her author's page. Oh well! If you haven't read these books you are so missing out so go start with book one and fall into this addicting series.

And It Just Keeps Getting Better!

Gypsy Origins was a thrilling and captivating story with astounding revelations, action, suspense, sizzling sexy bits and humor. I love the reverse harem aspect is delightfully titillating. Definitely not a book for the puritanical. The cliffhanger ending at an absurdly inconvenient moment would have been far more upsetting if the next book wasn't already available! LOL I really hate for this engrossing Series to be coming to an end. Looking for a book that truly satisfies my literary taste is such a time consuming chore. I hate it!! There were some editing errors and typos but noting tooo distracting. Overall, a great read!

Aaahhhh!!!!!

Oh, why do you do this to me, every single time?! You would think that I would learn to brace myself by now, but I am a glutton for punishment and any book written by C. M. Owens or Kristy Cunning. This is another brilliant book that draws you in and makes you want more. I have read every series by this author, in every name she writes under, and they just keep getting better and better. I especially love this series with its supernatural origins yet unique twists on lore. This is not a simple story. There are so many layers that are just now, in the third book, beginning to be revealed. The plot is definitely thickening and getting hotter between the characters as we go. And as per the usual of her series, this book just had to end with a major cliffhanger at a pivotal moment! It leaves you absolutely devastated and craving more. Luckily it sounds like the next installment should be released soon, satisfying my undying hunger for more of these very pretty monsters.

Arion Didn't Get His Toy

A gypsy had been killed and the four alphas start to suffer their curse , one by one. Emit, Damian, Zance and Arion have been cursed with immortality by sacrificing what was most important to them. All for a manipulative woman who became four different dream women. Idun could change into anyone she pleased. When the four found out, they couldn't give up the women she could change into. Thousand years later after they put her underground. They've all fallen for Violet. Which should be impossible. Her family line was the sacrifice for them to achieve living forever. She believes the guys are using her for the substitute for Idun, their one true love. Not.... Great series..

Amazing as always!!!

OMG!!! These books just get crazier and better!!! So in love with these characters!! What should be so confusing makes every bit of sense because the writing is so well done! Instead of boring information dumps, you gets interactive conversations between characters that let you know what’s going on while progressing the story and making you laugh...top notch writing, top notch storytelling, top notch characters. 😁 Cannot wait till Gypsy Moon!!

Enjoyable series

This series is pretty humorous and I've looked forward to each installment. Being someone familiar with random conversation threads occurring simultaneously, I get a kick out of the author's ability to write it so well. My only real criticism (typos aren't worth a criticism unless I can't overlook them) is that I wish the different points of view offered more help to spell things out to the reader so that the hidden conversations are fun to follow without losing the storyline: I can appreciate that maybe we're supposed to feel as lost as Violet, but maybe Vance or someone's POV could clarify, "I hope Violet doesn't realize that blah blah blah means vazzy vazzy vazzy.." But really,it's well-written and my small complaint may be more a me-thing and others can keep up.

So good...

This is my new favorite series. I love that Violet is simple, honest, and truly good, always wanting to help and fix what she can. The four pretty alpha monsters are varying degrees of selfish, guilt-ridden, obliviously evil, and trying to do the most-right thing for their house of subordinate monsters. But Violet quickly becomes the thing they all care the most about, and they all struggle differently with that universally bothersome fact. I literally can’t wait to find out what happens next. On to the next book...

The story is compelling

I'm usually won't pick up reverse harem. I purchased book 1 and finished it. I had a hard time keeping track of who was who when POV switched. I was engaged enough in Violets mystery to read book 2. I started book 2 and had the audio. By the end of book 2, I was committed to finishing the series. This book gives you answers to Violet and the curse. The book kept me up reading late into the night. A great story with a unique plotline. I'm ready for book 4. I will add this author to my watch list.

Amazing

This is seriously one of the best series I have read. There is Sooooooo much going on all the time. I absolutely love the change in POV. It really helps to see underlying motives and feelings of all the characters. I had to start writing down lists in a notebook so I could follow all the clues and I am STILL blown away by what is happening. Just when I think I have one part figured out......boom, something else happens to draw me in further or send me off in another direction. Not many people could come up with this story line and successfully keep it going without spoiling the mysteries going on in the book. Ms. Owens, you are a genius!!!!! Now, I am back to start from the begging so I can find more subtle clues I may have missed in previous readings. Yes, readings. I think I have read the first 2 books 5 times each trying to figure out what is going on!!!!😜

MORE, MORE, MORE, I want MORE NOW!!

I absolutely freaking LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!! Each book in this series just gets better and better. Each one is also a little tease.... she gives you just a little more knowledge in each book to drive you crazy and make you crave more! Violet is absolutely adorable, spunky, clumsy, bada**, clueless, and freaking awesome. Then there is Damien, Vance, Arion, and Emit. Yea they are totally freaking bada** alphas. I can’t wait for book 4, and thankfully I only have to wait 2 days! This Series has become one of my all time favorite RH’s and I truly hope it never ends....

I. Am. Hooked!

I swear this book, this series, this whole world has me hooked!! Kristy Cunning aka CM Owens aka woman who can make any book a great book, I applaud you on this one. You filtered just enough information throughout these past two books that I had multiple guesses but not quite the whole truth. I. am. so. excited. to. read. the. next. one. I have so many questions and I look forward to reading about what's about to go down. Cause you know something is about to go down. I read the first two chapters of the next book and it was still a cliff hanger! Maybe even a more tortuous one? Overall: 5/5

Sick of the cliffhangers, need some closure

I started to read the first book thinking it was a two book series because that is all that was listed. Had I know that there would be an endless series of books with no closure in any, just cliffhanger endings, I would never have started. I love a good series, but there needs to be some closure, not just more and more random plot twists to extend the series. I wish authors would be more transparent in their descriptions so you know what you are getting yourself into. The "apologies" at the end of each book for the cliffhanger are just insulting. Getting the end of book three with a statement that "I don't know how many books there will be" ughhhhh

♥️♥️

This series just keeps getting more intriguing. Violet is finally learning more about her history and what her mom intended in bringing her here. I love seeing Damien, Emit, Vance, and Arian trying to figure out Violet. I also seeing their relationship forming with each other, just as much as I like seeing each of their relationships evolve with Violet. They have such history, yet also are a little clueless for all their alpha-nest and immortality. I’m so glad we only need to wait a few more weeks for the next book, and at the same time that seems like forever :)

Awesome

This series keeps getting better and better. Lots of background information in this book where we finally learn about the Curse and what Violet really is. Although the book does end at a cliffhanger, I am grateful that the author left a message at the end of the book to let us know that she has finished writing Book 4 which will be released in February. Therefore it will not be a long wait for the next book. Among the 4 alphas, I have always loved Vance the most, so I am glad that Violet understands Vance now through his actions rather than his words (or lack of them).

A horde, a simpleton and curses

So many secrets are revealed and bombs dropped in this book I couldn't keep up. With so much new information things are finally clicking into place and making sense. No more breadcrumbs of information. I loved it when things finally start to heat up between Violet and 2 of the guys, which was suprising at who it ended up being and so glad she got double the action! So glad they are also finally treating her they way they should have from the begining poor girl needs some loving and care. I was definitely still shocked to have it confirmed by Arion about him still wanting to be with Idun when she rises. I had high hopes for him. Very dissapointing.

better and better!

This series continues to surprise me. Things get more twisted, suspense is growing, stakes are raised (and man am I falling for these guys!). I love the different POVs, there are so many secrets and things to learn, and holy crap I cannot wait for the next book to come out! I read this book so fast. I seriously couldn't get it out of my head. Thanks Kristy for building an amazing, complex world, awesome relationships, perfect levels of romantic tension, and an interesting book that I couldn't put down!! Can't wait for the next one!!

Such a good continuation

Make sure to read the series in order. It’s fun, it’s sexy and it keeps you up and reading! This is a cliff hanger! 4 majorly yummy alphas, a heroine that rolls with calamity, pain, and shocking realizations with a very positive attitude, even with a break down. A female lead who actually sticks to her personal choices even when pressured otherwise is also nice. Can’t wait until the February release of book 4

Solid storyline. A bit wandering.

It's a decent read. The first book had flavors of Evanovich's writing style. And I really like Anna as a character. Brought some comedic relief. Had some difficulty really following books two and three because it wanders off track pretty frequently, and it lost the special touch that was Anna's character without a replacement. I cant tell if this is just filler or poor editing? It's hard to stay engrossed when the characters have dialogue that constantly includes other mini-conversations. However, plot is strong and characters are developing well. Will probably read book 4 when it's out. Because it's on KU.

Fantastic Read

I highly recommend this series. I have read all the books and I can truly say that it gets better. Each book has a reason and will slowly unveil who our Heroine truly is and what she was born for. Don’t be discouraged or too frustrated if the book leaves you with more questions than answers. I can assure you the author is masterful enough to answer those questions by the series end in ways that will surprise you.

Great read!

So far in this series this has been my favorite! Maybe it's because I'm starting to learn things or maybe it's just that the characters seem to make me smile more. Who knows why but I am glad that I'm learning some answers to some of the questions that were unanswered to begin with. However every time I think I I have something figured out something else gets thrown at me out of nowhere and now I have even more questions. Haha. So intrigued by this series and and wait to see what comes next!

She is absolutely fantastic. Officially my one click buy

I just wanna say I absolutely love how I stay just as confused as Violet and then the author connects the dots for us at the same time she connects the dots for her characters lol I wouldve thought it insane to not know what they were talking about half the time had violet not continuously voiced that she was also confused which always made the big reveals that much better. This author is genious and I dont care what she writes im buying it!! This series is fantastic!! I cant wait to try another of her books.

Such a great series!!!

This is one of the most original paranormal fantasies I've ever read, and it's been my favorite genre for 30 years. I normally stay away from reverse harems. They bore the hell out of me. But this series has a very strong story and worldbuilding via fascinating history. The harem growth fits perfectly into the story without trying to be the story, successfully avoiding the trap of that particular genre. This is a reverse harem series with a fascinating story and excellent characters. The author is genius. Read these books.

I LOVE THESE BOOKS!

As someone who jumps from one book to the next between breaths I rarely take the time to leave a review, however enough cannot be said about how this story and characters suck you in. Once I pick one up it's no sleep for me until the last paige. The storytelling and plot twists that seemlessly flow isn't something easily found anymore. I could go on and on about the complexity of the characters with just the right amount of humor thrown in and a million other things I love and admire, but this would become it's own book. If you haven't read this series the only thing I can say is what the he## are you waiting for!

I love this series so much! I need book three now!

Wow, I can’t even process all that has happened right now lol! Absolutely loving this series. The characters, the plot, the humor, the sex scenes, all are spot on. The female lead is funny, smart and very relatable. The alphas are all hot, and I am bouncing from who I lie the most to who I would like to strangle the most. If you haven’t read this series yet, please do, it’s awesome! If you have, book two has more action, Drama, sex scenes and more reveals than book one. Get this book!!!

I can’t even begin

Can’t even begin how addicting these books are. And this one has a teaser for the next book at the end and I’m already salivating waiting to start it. This reverse harem series is great because it forces less on the romance and more on each individuals growth. Also the main character doesn’t just “roll with it” and constantly second guesses the males motives and tries to control herself unlike other reverse harem books where it goes from zero to 360 with no qualms.
