Gray's Anatomy for Students: With Student Consult Online Access

The student consult is helpful and the book contains a lot of useful information, but is poorly organized. Made reading and studying much more difficult than necessary. The student consult is probably the best part about this book by far. It provides study questions, an electronic copy of the book, and more. I used the student consult many times to assist my learning and think I would have been lost without it. One of my favorite things to do with the electronic book was screenshot the pictures and put them into a review guide document so that I wouldn't have to have the book out to study. The book has the weirdest organization I've seen for a book. It jumped around a lot within chapters and made things harder to understand. It often took a good bit of searching for me to find the information I was looking for despite it being mentioned briefly pages before. As a student, I was taking more than just an anatomy course, and it was very frustrating to have to spend excess time and energy than should have been required on trying to find the information I needed.

Bought this book used for OT school. It is brand new, no writing, no scratches, or tears. If I could have bought all of my books from this seller I would have!

Glad I bought it new because the online student consult code that comes with it is awesome! I use it to view the book on my ipad while at school because the actual book itself is heavy. The online code also comes with quizzes and gives you different ways to try and help understand the material. Another recent bonus I found was that Embryology material come only with the online consult, as there is pretty much none in the hard copy book itself. That alone was worth the extra money to get a brand new copy!

Gray's is a classic in the world of anatomy. Great practice for CRNA school. Some of my professor's quiz questions come right out of here. I'd recommend!

Pretty good anatomy textbook. It gives you the information you need to understand the macro anatomy of the human body, though the formatting could use some work to be more easily understood for beginners (as anatomy is usually a class for beginners). It is better for those slightly more advanced that already have a basic general understanding about anatomy.

An absolute treasure for studying during my anatomy and embryology class. It is light on the embryology so do not expect too much for that. However, for anatomy, it makes relationships very clear and has excellent illustrations and photos of structures. The book is paperback with a nice shiny, silver "Gray's" on the front. Highly recommended for medical students and the like.

I believe this is the best pictorial explanation of anatomy I have ever come across. I never compared the text of Gray's Anatomy to Clinically Oriented Anatomy but pictures are bigger and much much clearer in this book compared to COA. I believe to use as a reference book for the practice of medicine, as a physician, this is a great book. I apologize that i am not able to evaluate this book from view point of preparation of exams.

Learn all you need for anatomy in this easy to read well laid out book. Each chapter starts with an overview of whats covered (ie. just the basics) and then proceeds in a compartmental fashion through the limb or system you are studying. The language is clear, lots of colour illustrations and summary tables. In addition there are clinical pearls. Really well written and easy to understand!

looks so beautiful cover to cover! amazing colors that are comfortable to the eye, many many pictures to understand, neatly organized, I would recommend this to any medical student, it's a top choice. I received the book in an excellent condition.

I wish I could marry this book. As a virgin, this book has taught me a lot about female anatomy, like did you know the round ligament (which connects the uterus to the labia majora) is a remnant of the gubernaculum? Nuts! (pun intended).

Initially bought this book for PT school. It's quite substantial. Most definitely one of the books I do not plan to sell after I am done with the program. Would recommend.

I ordered this book and thought it looked a bit smaller than expected. Come to find out during our extremity block that half of the lower leg portion was missing and ALL of head and neck was not there.... How can you rent out a book without entire chapters?

This book doesn't want to download. I just wasted my money and time.

Kindle images are too small, and the publishers won't allow a computer download. Useless and stupid on their part.

When I bought this book I expected to be buying an anatomy book that covers the essentials on everything related to anatomy. The entire body, but just the essentials, which is actually a lot in the field of medicine. What I got instead is an anatomy book that is 95% about the musculoskeletal system, 4% on the anatomy of organs, and 1% on the Peripheral Nervous System. That's right, the great Gray's Anatomy for STUDENTS has NOTHING on Neuroanatomy (Central Nervous System). What a piece of utter rubbish. Next time name the book what it should be named "Gray's musculoskeletal anatomy + a tiny bit on organs" instead of disgracing the name Gray with 50% of what should be an anatomy book for students. This book was supposed to be what the baby Robbin's "Robbin's Basic Pathology" is to big Robbin's "Robbin's Basis of Pathology". I own Robbin's Basic Pathology and I think it is a terrific book for students, and I thought Gray's Anatomy for students would be the same but it turns out it's nothing more than a scheme to make you buy more of their books. My advice? If you're following a system in University and they're using this book, you're unfortunately gonna have to buy it and then buy other books to compensate for what this disgraceful excuse of an anatomy book fails to cover. However if you're interested in learning anatomy, and are not enrolled in med school, buy "Gray's Anatomy: The Anatomical Basis of Clinical Practice". The real deal which covers the anatomy of the entire body, a book that you'll happily keep for a lifetime.

Great text for massage therapy, easy to read.

I am a current first year medical student (GKT / KCL) and have used this book so far for the joints, skeleton and abdomen. Very comprehensive, and the lecturers tend to take some of their diagrams from the book too, which helps to match up lectures to the content in the textbook. I was a little disappointed at the start of the year when I studied mainly microanatomy as there is not much content on the cellular makeup of the connective tissue etc. However as we start to do gross anatomy the book is very useful. I find the diagrams clear to follow and the explanations are very thorough. I especially like the tables which show the attachments and innervation of the muscles. My university has an online e-book version which any student can access, and there are many copies available from the library however I like to have my own book to keep in my room for reference when I rewatch the lectures online.

Not as informative as I was hoping. Having used to Tortora and Grabowski during my student days. But Grey’s anatomy is well laid out and easy to find what you are looking for.

Die Abbildungen sind gut und sehr großzügig was das Format angeht. Im Vergleich zu diversen anderen Anatomie-Büchern und Atlanten (Sobotta, Netter) ein sehr gelungenes Buch. Die Beschriftungen scheinen nicht so ausführlich zu sein, wie bei anderen Werken. Es ist kein Atlas! Dafür ist alles sehr sehr klar und gut dargestellt. Als Nicht-Mediziner kann ich die Güte allerdings nicht ganz so gut beurteilen. Um beruflich und privat Strukturen nach zu schlagen, absolut zu empfehlen. Das Online-Angebot habe ich noch nicht getestet. Mir persönlich fehlen Literaturstellen und Referenzen. Davon gibt es keine (richtig: KEINE)....

Uso questo libro per il corso di laurea di medicina in inglese ed è la mia salvezza. Ho preparato locomotore in poche settimane grazie anche all'organizzazione del libro. Tutti i muscoli sono in tabelle con inserzioni, origini e funzioni. Colorato, un po' sintetico, io lo amo.

Amazing book. Great for me as a physiotherapy student. Information provided is clear with great use of imagery to aid learning. Provides the option to upload the book to a phone/device so it is available wherever you go.. Considering the size of the book, this is very handy!

Im studying physiotherapy and this book has too many extra information that are not needed within the course. If you need a book for your anatomy i woyld suggest finding something more specific.

A gift for my daughter (a potential medic). It seemed to go down well, and is plainly well-produced. I accidentally bought two (stupid, huh?) but managed to give the second one away too.

Although I am not a student anymore I am using anatomy textbooks every week. Gray's anatomy for students meets my needs as there are explanations ofor the structures and their action (as in muscles and tendons).

An excellent learning resource and pre examination self test. No other anatomy book comes even near it when the clarity of the diagrams and specimen photographs is concerned. In fact one can totally rely on these flash cards to recap previously read anatomy. I highly recommend these to medical and dental students.

Great Anatomy Book, my bible as a PhysioTherapist student I do not need all the information it contains (e.g. clinical cases for surgeons), but it is still my major reference to study anatomy Very clear drawings, explanations, pictures for surface anatomy... it seems pretty exhaustive

Ottimo libro. Le spiegazioni sono complete ed esaurienti ma è più sintetico rispetto alla versione integrale (e secondo me più chiaro e accessibile per gli studenti). Ricco di foto, disegni, schemi e tabelle che facilitano la memorizzazione. Ottimi inoltre i riferimenti alla clinica che si trovano in ogni capitolo, correlati da immagini TC, RX o RM e fotografie. Lo consiglio assolutamente.
