This is a good book because it gives you scripture for when you're feeling__________and it lists all the moods you could be in. I've used it many times already when i was angry, having marital problems, finance problems-you name it-it's in the book. and it's small & portable.

I received one when I was confirmed in the Lutheran church at age 15 and have used it many many times over the last 20 years. " what to do when you are" (depressed, lack faith, tempted, etc.) just bible verses, no commentary. It's really great!

Options were soft cover, leather or paper, which is the “Regular Kivar Edition, ISBN 978-1-4041-8665-1”. The book has 335 pages (including Scriptures of ”God’s Plan of Salvation”) and 12 blank pages for your own notes, favorite verses, prayer lists, etc., which I appreciate. It’s a great gift or at bedside, by favorite chair or carry size, of 6”x4”x1”. Reviewer Mandymo wrote, it’s a little book “for anyone who likes little religious sayings and poems” but actually, those are all Bible verses with Scripture references (enables finding them in Bibles, to be read in context), the poems are in Psalms (songs to be played on instruments and sung), mostly written by David. These are great little books, almost pocket size. Little thick to fit in your pocket. I like to have a bunch of these on hand along with bibles and hand them out to people, price is worth it and great for people in need of Gods word.

I love this book!!! It has gotten me through a lot of dark times. There are times when picking up my Bible is hard because I’m so depressed, but this is a perfect way to be in the Word without having to be overwhelmed with the whole Bible. I ordered this for a friend dealing with severe health issues. I haven't heard if it's been as helpful as I hope. In looking it over before sending it, it looked pretty complete and had certainly arrived in good condition.

I like to leave this book on a table top nearby so I can make use of it regularly. . It is a great "go-to" book when you want to select a reading or psalm that fits the moment.

This book makes finding the right scripture for your needs so much easier. I have gifted many of these! I have a couple different ones and this one is my favorite!

I sent this to my brother because he is witnessing to a dying neighbor. The plan of salvation verses (the last chapter) are in the most logical order I've ever seen. This is an excellent resource for finding just the right verse for a long list of subjects. It is not exhaustive (would be to large then), but it is quite complete enough; it has quite a few for each topic. I will give this book again.

I am dealing with men who are in recovery and are experiencing depression, anger, mental disorder etc and the book directs you to God's word through a well thought out scripture reference.

It was more then I expected. I wanted something that had short verses and statements. The book is thick and bulky to carrier around and that is what I was looking for. It is a good book and I like it for what it has in it after awhile I gave it to someone that needed it more then me.

This is a great book to turn to when you need a little help getting into a particular Bible theme. It is also fun to turn from topic to topic to see what the Bible says about that topic. It's hard to put down!

This was a gift for my Mom. She keeps it by her favorite chair to read promises in scripture. She is a life long reader and student of the Bible at 84. She likes the ease of being able to refer to her favorite scriptural promises when she needs a lift or a good word for someone else.

I bought this to supplement a wedding gift, and am very pleased with the quality of the book, both inside and out. It has an attractive velvety soft cover and is printed on quality paper. The content is priceless. It is solid scripture, separated to illustrate richly, any topic you would choose, including 'God's Plan of Salvation.' It would make a great coffee table book, to pick up and read in often. I love it!

Love the large/giant print - I think ever NKJV bible should have large/giant print so everyone can see more clearly especially for underlining and hi-lighting - this is good for also taking notes -yes I do recommend it highly.

I have to be honest that the imitation leather cover is not what I was expecting. It's much more like a paperback than imitation leather, in my opinion. As for the book, it arrived in very good condition, shipped quickly and I'm pleased with the product itself. However, I paid what I felt was a premium price compared to others for the imitation leather cover and it's simply not what I envisioned.

When you need to get to the scriptures quickly. I am old school and like having it in my hand and making notes. Something about the paper between my fingers....Great book purchased one for my entire family.

Great Book

This is a perfect size book to hold in one hand and read either while walking or reading in bed. It has a type size easy to read and the index catagories help greatly to promote each scripture use. I like the NKJV, it was offered in Century but I am not familiar with that translation.

This devotional book is The Very Best. You can't ask for a better one than this. However, in the future I will order ones that have the light green cover. The ones with this burgundy cover were all scuffed up. They should have been packaged better.
