This is the best devotional guide I have ever encountered. Every day’s message was engaging, Biblically sound and insightful. The Lord truly used this devotional to challenge me daily. As a seminary grad I was amazed at how in-depth Mike Lutz’s messages were every day! I would highly recommend this devotional for those who want a closer walk with the Lord.

I like the narratives and the verses. Thought provoking and good advice.

I read this book every day, lost my first copy, and immediately bought a second copy. The stories are outstanding, but reflects on scripture

I like this daily devotional. I read each days devotion just before I go to bed, along with the Bible passage. The only thing I wish each devotional had was a short prayer at the end of it. So, I just say a little prayer myself. I would recommend this devotional to anyone

QUICK HIT - With solid teaching and quick devotions, Lutz has created a good devotional to give you a jump start on searching out the Scriptures. As a pastor, one of the things that I emphasize to my congregation is the need to be reading Scripture every day. Hearing one sermon a week or even adding Sunday School and small group into that simply will not create a healthy Christian. You eat physical food every day; eat spiritual food every day as well. Well, in God Every Day 365, author Mike Lutz gives his readers a daily serving of Scripture with a side order of life application. One of the things I appreciated most about this devotional is that Lutz alternates between Old and New Testament readings. This allows a range of diversity in what’s being taught, so that readers can’t get bored with a section and drop off from reading it. It also highlights the importance of the Old Testament and brings to light several narratives that the average Christian would otherwise never read. Each devotional is approximately one page long and can easily be read in a couple of minutes. Because of that, they don’t go too in-depth into the text, but as a one-page devotional, that not really what it’s trying to do. Lutz touches on a whole range of topics, meaning that there’s always something new and exciting to learn. My only criticism is in the book’s formatting. I would have liked to have seen some study questions or some interactive suggestions for application (especially as it’s subtitled life application devotions). The text is small and the margins wide and the spacing thin. I know this was done for space—the book still hits almost 400 pages—but it doesn’t lend itself to easily readability. If you’re older, you may have a hard time reading this one simply due to that. It’s nothing against the functionality or solidity of the teaching, it’s just a matter of aesthetics. Let me close by saying that devotionals are a great tool, but they do not replace actually reading the Word. If you use a devotional, spend as much time on the selected Scripture and studying it as you do reading the devotional. Make your own notes, write your own thoughts. As good as this devotional is, use it along with your Bible, don’t put it as a buffer between you and the Word.

This book is a very practical book on how to approach prayer and living the life to the maximum of one's potential.

This is my favorite devotional yet! It’s convicting and thought provoking. I highly recommend this devotional.

I started reading God Every day by Author Mike Lutz in December and I really enjoyed the Christmas devotional. Each day I was reminded of the real reason for the season and of Jesus great sacrifice for us. I am now reading this devotional as part of my quiet time with Jesus and I love how every day the author takes a verse gives you insight in that verse and then gives you and every day application for your personal life. For any one looking for a devotional that will exhort them to live out the scriptures I highly recommend this devotional.

I can't say enough good things about the way Mike Lutz writes and presents everything, from the staple concepts of Christianity to the most confounding aspects of the Christian faith, to make it understandable and encouraging to the believer. Mike takes a unique and fresh perspective on daily devotionals. I love how the book is laid out and how it progresses you through the old and new testaments throughout the year. The book is filled with Biblical insight to help strength and deepen our relationship with God, and also leave us with daily practical applications of how to live out our faith. I start my day off with this devotional and it sets the framework for the day ahead. Definitely a great book that is sure to bless you as you go through each day of every year.

What a blessing this is to me! A beautiful way to begin my day in Gods word. God 365 is an insightful, inspirational, and a personal tool to help me daily walk closer to my savior Jesus!! It will bless your sox's off! It brings out the treasures and truths of Gods word and reminds us how deeply God loves each of us. Amazing devotional, you will be truly blessed by this book! Author Mike Lutz takes each day & verse and writes about it in a way that can be applied to your life living in today's world. His teachings are practical, inspiring, and encouraging. As a busy stay-at-home mom of three little ones I have been anticipating the release of Mike Lutz's new book as I have been looking for a new daily devotional that is inspiring and practical to today and would allow me those moments to spend time and draw closer to The Lord....this was definitely the book for me. Everyone will be truly blessed by Mike's daily teachings. I highly recommend this book!!

I bought this devotional about a year ago, and I have enjoyed it daily. Just what I need for my morning coffee with Jesus. The daily devotions are easy to read but profound inspired enough to apply to my every day life. I highly recommend this devotional to anyone desiring to grow into a deeper intimacy with God. I need to start everyday with the proper perspective for my walk with The Lord. I am so enjoying this devotional by Mike Lutz. He has a very sensible and practical approach to using God's word to create a path for me to walk down, to get my head and my heart in sync with God's purpose for me. I read his previous book "Discovering God's Will For Your Life" and really enjoyed Mike's style of writing. Many pages in it are high-lighted with quotes and anecdotes for me to remember. I'm sure God Everyday will look the same soon. Excellent!

Fantastic for God-Orienting Daily It seems like every day there are "quotable quotes" that I want to share because they are so impactful. Deep yet easy to grasp, this daily encounter helps to orient my mind, heart and soul to God so I am more effective in all areas of my life. Up until now, Chambers' My Utmost has been my favorite, but new perspectives and current illustrations in God Every Day are hitting home beautifully. Great as a gift, too, since it is easy language to understand and power packed in a short time devoted to God each day.
