This Book is exactly what we were looking for! As we are preparing our daughter for the g&t exam we ended up buying multiple books and in many cases two of them. It’s very hard to redo the problems with other regular books on the market but this wipe clean book is fantastic, we already did some problems multiple times. The dry erase pen is great and it wipes off so easy. It’s already hard enough for kids to focus but book does a great job in spreading the material out. After only a few minutes my kids get tired but this book kept our daughter engaged and she could not wait to finish the section to do the fun activity. First off, they have the dry-erase feature so the books are easy to reuse and you can wipe a wrong answer off in a second. The content of the book is fun and colorful with easy to understand instructions. The illustrations looked great and supported the content clearly. The pages can also be easily wiped clean without water. I'm very impressed because some markers will leave residue on the page or water marks and looks very messy, this usually takes away from the kids attention. After wiping the page clean, you can start over again (no fighting over the page) or if you need extra room to discuss the problems. Towards the middle of the book it becomes more challenging, so its not so good for my kids now but this is something that they can work on and build.

My 4.5 year old enjoyed the activities in the book and was challenged by new types of questions - such as analogies and making inferences. She really liked that she had her own marker and that she could easily wipe clean a wrong answer - it was surprising how encouraging that was for her (rather than having the wrong answer still showing even after erasing). There are activities through out the book that are "mind breaks" and that's nice, as well. Leaves an enjoyable impression.

I really enjoyed working on this activity book with my 3 year old. We call it activity time! After the first book I searched to see if the seller has other books and bought the other one they sell. Both are very good. I highly recommend them. I especially like the erase feature because I can work on the questions multiple times with my little one.

The other one had a hard cover, so it was "immortal" :)))) kids love it. This one won't resist as long since the over is soft. A bit less quests. But still good. I will buy another one when will appear new.

This book is very easy and fun way to prepare your kid for G&F. We received lots of old material(printouts) from relative whose children got into the program. But it was too stressful to teach my 4 year old using those materials. This book is very engaging. The pictures are bright and colorful. My kid seems to do much better with focusing. And since it is wipe-clean book, we can practice again and again.

I like the idea of reusable and erase, good for preschool kids. My daughter loves the activities included. My issue is there is one page missing, and page 13-14 is duplicates.

My son loves this book. It comes with stickers, flashcards and most importantly: dinosaurs. The book is beautifully designed and the questions are fun, well structured and cover different levels of difficulty. The best part is that it is re-usable as the writing with the special pen is easy to wipe off with a wet cloth. The best book I have seen so far.

This guide was not only useful, but simple for a child to understand and digest. The OLSAT book has a total of 7 chapters: shape creation, analogies, directions & aural reasoning, classification, series completion, arithmetic reasoning and pattern matrices. First off, they have the dry-erase feature so the books are easy to reuse and you can wipe a wrong answer off in a second. The content of the book is fun and colorful with easy to understand instructions. More importantly, the questions are tough enough that I know my child is being challenged but he’s having fun at the same time. It doesn’t “feel” like test prep. The answer key is clear and easy to use by parents that don’t know the answers. It also has a set of flash cards for on-the-go learning. Wish they made different books for all subjects from PK-6! Don’t think twice. Get this book immediately!!!

It's a nice large format, the pages are thick and glossy so that they can be wiped clean and used again. Common Core standards caused a lot of confusion for parents and students because often times instructions are not parent friendly, so it was refreshing to find these quick and clear introductions at the beginning of each chapter. There is one with a world map and a sheet of stickers that will teach my kid geography while he's having fun. Also, another nice bonus is a little pocket at the end of the book with flash cards. The illustrations looked great and supported the content clearly. The pages can also be easily wiped clean without water. I'm very impressed because some markers will leave residue on the page or water marks and looks very messy, this usually takes away from the kids attention. After wiping the page clean, you can start over again (no fighting over the page) or if you need extra room to discuss the problems. Towards the middle of the book it becomes more challenging, so its not so good for my kids now but this is something that they can work on and build.

This book is perfect for my younger sister! She really enjoys how she can easily erase the marker and write in the book again and again. She's always on the move, but never without the book. I definitely recommended purchasing this product if your child finds it difficult to sit down and do problems in a standard workbook. The book is really well made. My child had a great time with it. I also as a parent learned from it too. The customer service for mind inventions is also amazing and caring! My child is prepping for gifted and talented test in a week and I will post after the result of the test.

Great book for prepping. Some of the concepts are a bit advanced for my 3 year old but with that’s a good thing. Don’t want to be too easy since it’s for 3-6. Erasable is the way to go. My younger one can also use this when the time comes.

Really high quality review book. My almost 4 year old was excited to do this “test”. She’s actually grasping some of the concepts. I love that it’s erasable. It even has stickers for rewards. I can’t recommended it highly enough.

The first page ( cover page ) of the book was the last page, that too upside down .. and the cover page was attached at the end . It was confusing that when you open the book . Rest of the questions ( rest of the pages) were printed correct.

It is fun.. but I expect more pages for that money.

Had no idea it was a dry ease white board background type of book and I love it! Separated into 7 sections covering all the topics they would be in the exam.

This is our favorite book out of about 10 we purchased. The complexity builds up. Since it’s intended to use with an erasable marker, the book is reusable, too.

We love the wipe clean surface so she can practice over and over. The extra flash cards are a nice addition and I wish there was even more of them, as it keeps it interesting to switch between the book and cards. This was a great purchase for the price and seems more effective and easier to keep organized than a previous purchase of gifted flash cards we recently bought. I would highly recommend this book and I think it will be quite helpful when it's time for her to be tested.

Way more pages than I expected! I love the wipe clean books, you are getting so much more for the cost. My kids did this in sections and enjoyed all the puzzles and problems throughout. This is a great logic workbook even if your kids are not doing test prep for advanced testing. It teaches young children how to look at things a different way and that will serve them as they learn. I have recommended this to many kindergarten parents. 5 stars for sure.

I found the practical element of this workbook to be enormously helpful; the fact that you can erase what’s written and write in the book again and again is awesome. It helps lower the frustration when the kiddo makes a mistake or isn’t happy with what he had written. Erase and try again. The exercises themselves are age appropriate and well thought out

All the questions in this book revolve around boys to the point that it’s comically ridiculous. The rare questions that show girl characters have them as the short, little siblings of the boys. Definitely do not recommend this for kids, especially girls, who are prepping for exams

This Book is exactly what we were looking for! As we are preparing our daughter for the g&t exam we ended up buying multiple books and in many cases two of them. It’s very hard to redo the problems with other regular books on the market but this wipe clean book is fantastic, we already did some problems multiple times. The dry erase pen is great and it wipes off so easy. It’s already hard enough for kids to focus but book does a great job in spreading the material out. After only a few minutes my kids get tired but this book kept our daughter engaged and she could not wait to finish the section to do the fun activity. This book does have a great mix of problems from easy to difficult and was even useful for our 3 year old, she loved the dinosaur problems and stickers :) The book is sturdy and comes with flashcards too. We are looking forward for Smartie Books to release more books hopefully soon!

We are prepping for the NYC Gifted and Talented and these books are the BEST of all the books we have purchased. We got both the NNAT and OLSAT books. The OLSAT book has a total of 7 chapters: shape creation, analogies, directions & aural reasoning, classification, series completion, arithmetic reasoning and pattern matrices. First off, they have the dry-erase feature so the books are easy to reuse and you can wipe a wrong answer off in a second. The content of the book is fun and colorful with easy to understand instructions. More importantly, the questions are tough enough that I know my child is being challenged but he’s having fun at the same time. It doesn’t “feel” like test prep. The answer key is clear and easy to use by parents that don’t know the answers. It also has a set of flash cards for on-the-go learning. Wish they made different books for all subjects from PK-6! Don’t think twice. Get this book immediately!!!

This workbook is a really high quality product. When I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised because the online pictures don't convey how well made this book is. It's a nice large format, the pages are thick and glossy so that they can be wiped clean and used again. This is very convenient because in my experience young children need that repetition to trully master the skill. I loved the fact that the book already comes with a dry erase marker attached to the book so you don't need to go looking for one and once you're done working, you just slide it back in and it's there for the next session. What I also liked is that the illustrations are very attractive, age appropriate, and full of vibrant colors so that a young child will associate the book with fun activity vs just boring pencil and paper work. Each section of the book begins with a very clear and to the point explanation about what skill is being mastered. Common Core standards caused a lot of confusion for parents and students because often times instructions are not parent friendly, so it was refreshing to find these quick and clear introductions at the beginning of each chapter. The best part was finding the fun activity pages at the end of a section. That's a great bonus! There is one with a world map and a sheet of stickers that will teach my kid geography while he's having fun. Also, another nice bonus is a little pocket at the end of the book with flash cards. Flash cards have answers on the other side. Once again, this is great because young kids get good at something by practicing it again and again. I am really impressed by this work book. It is designed to teach important and challenging concepts in appealing and kid friendly way. Whoever created this clearly put a lot of thought into it. I hope they have something for higher elementary grades as well.

The illustrations looked great and supported the content clearly. The pages can also be easily wiped clean without water. I'm very impressed because some markers will leave residue on the page or water marks and looks very messy, this usually takes away from the kids attention. After wiping the page clean, you can start over again (no fighting over the page) or if you need extra room to discuss the problems. Towards the middle of the book it becomes more challenging, so its not so good for my kids now but this is something that they can work on and build.

This book is perfect for my younger sister! She really enjoys how she can easily erase the marker and write in the book again and again. She's always on the move, but never without the book. I definitely recommended purchasing this product if your child finds it difficult to sit down and do problems in a standard workbook. I know for sure that my sister is practicing her critical thinking skills while having fun!

Our 4.5-year-old has literally dozens of activity books, but this one truly stands out above the others. The dry-erase pages are excellent, and each of the different types of activities is challenging and makes him think in new ways. I bought this with a discount code through a savings group but would buy again at full price with no hesitation. Really great learning product.

I work with kids all the time and I can say this book is one of the best activity books I have seen. The fact that it is wipe clean is a genius idea. Kids write and draw all over and regular books become useless. This books allows kids to redo the problems until they get it right. While it is little bit more expensive than other books, the value it adds makes this book actually very cheap! The colors of this book are beautiful and the smartie characters keep kids entertained. Smartie Books is a must for every kid, as it challenges them and teaches them the thought process and logic. If however your child is preparing for Gifted and Talented test this book will certainly help your child understand the concepts and perfect their understanding.

I received this book as a gift from a friend who knew I was struggling with OLSET prep. So far this books appears to be a great educational tool, the approach is engaging and entertaining for my son and the wipe clean option is great. This is definitely a great tool to use if you have a tough time getting your young one too focus and sit still. There are many questions and activities that make exam prep feel like a game and garner a great response from my son. The ultimate test will be the exam itself, however as of right now I am very satisfied with the progress he is making.

Got this for my nephew. There are a lot of materials out there for guilted and talented test prep but they do not compare to this book. Very easy to understand and use, fun for the kid and reusable ( erasable). This book can also be used as a fun learning book for kids, not necessarily just for test prep.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My 3-year-old girl really likes this book. She will do a couple of pages a day. Some are a little too dificult for her but practice makes perfect. She will soon master this book.

love this book, especially its erasable function. No more mess, no more worries. I even can let my 2yrs son play with is. Also this book come with some fun flash cards my 5yrs son is really enjoying it. He likes to do those exercises. Only one little problem for myself that is I kind of confused to find out the answers about those questions. Anyway this book is great!
