Get Out and Play (Elbow Grease) (Step into Reading)

I can’t say enough about John Cena and his Elbow Grease series. My autistic grandson wanted this book even before it was released. What a surprise for Gma when he actually started reading the book to her! Guess you can tell he hadn’t read before. He was so pleased with himself. I hope John continues the series and if you are ever in Hawaii look us up!

My two year old grandson loves the Elbow Grease series and has all those that are available in board book format, so it was time to move on to the others. It is showing wear after only a few weeks of use, but that is to be expected with his age. The price point is low enough that I was happy to purchase a favorite book character for him and won’t be too upset if it doesn’t last very long. As with others in the series, there is a fairly obvious life lesson included, but like in the others, Elbow Grease is not always treated very well by the other trucks in the garage and that seems to bother some parents. However, our small but hard-working blue truck handles it appropriately and his integrity and work ethic always shine which is a great lesson to pass along to our children.

My nephew is 2.5 years old. He struggles with speech a little still and we try to read to him as much as we can but his attention span isn’t always there. He LOVED this book! He actively asks us to read them and goes and gets them. He’s an active, outdoorsy boy who loves cars, mud, trucks, etc. this book was perfect for him. It’s a cute series and a great gift!

My 5year old grandson has memorized the first book and he’s working on the second! He loves these books!

Cool books, and it's interestingly written by a popular professional wrestler, with a "nice" persona.

Great book for helping your child learn to read. Story also has a positive message. My son loves these books.
