Agent Eden Fury of the Federal Bureau of Magic is just what her name implies - a Fury. She keeps tabs on the local portal to the Otherworld, which has been dormant for centuries. She is also the law enforcement for all supernatural beings. Things normally run smoothly and she helps her (secret) human boyfriend, Chief Sawyer Fox, with his cases. When Pamela Clover's body is discovered behind the library, the locals are shocked. Yes, crime had recently increased in the area, but nothing as bad as this. Pamela was a simple employee in a flower ship named Roots. When Sawyer suspects supernatural involvement, he asks Eden to look at the crime scene. Sure enough, the murderer appears to be a supernatural. But why kill a flower shop lady? ***** FIVE STARS! There is quite a bit of humor in this installment to the series. Most of it involves Eden's mother and grandmother. The romance between Sawyer and Eden remains a secret, though more people suspect but does not speak of it. It is basically glossed over in this story. More time is spent on Grandma's upcoming Mature Woman Beauty Pageant, the mystery, and the appearance of another secret agent in the area - who is too classified for Eden to get any information about from the Bureau. When they meet, sparks fly because their two species have been enemies for several centuries. The author has done a great job of showing realistic suspicions on the part of both agents. I could not help but like the other agent, a lot. (She is more like Eden than she could suspect.) I love this series! This light paranormal mystery has Eden and Chief Fox really working together to solve a new case, and Eden' s mother, grandmother, and aunt working toward a protect to benefit humans. While Mother and Grandmother still trade insults, I see and enjoy their growth. Fun characters, funny "cheesy" small town setting, and now I need to snag the next book!

Solving the crime and learning more about yourself at the same time. That you will defend your family from others first. And you have done the same as others and painted them with rose printed glasses and not given them the benefit of the doubt.

Agent Fury is in for a doozy with this case! As she tries to figure out who the demon is she really starts to open her eyes. Not only where she is concerned but with her family as well. Nothing is ever as black and white as we think it is.

The family antics are so funny. Even the littlest ones are in on it. I look forward to the next book.

I loved reading this book! I can not wait to read the next one to see what happens next! Thank you for all the wonderful characters and stories you have brought to life in your writings.

I love the craziness Eden’s family exudes. These books always make me laugh and this one a bit makes you think for a second about what is truly good and evil. Excellent read, fun story.

A strange murder in town has Eden wondering and the town gossip machine in overdrive. But the arrival of a creature also working for the FBM has Eden on edge to what it wants.

I love this series. The characters are funny., very Human or trying to be. Chief Fox and Eden are so good together. Grandma us a hoot.

Quick read with well rounded characters & alotta imagination. & I love everybodies names & the references to movies I know.

Live the twist of the main character meeting someone who makes her question who she really is. Cute mystery with a touch of romance thrown in.

I Love this Book and this Series! One of the best series that Annabel Chase has written. Waiting patiently ( ok maybe not so patiently) for the next book!

I have enjoyed the whole series and look forward to the next book out in October, which I have already pre-ordered.

This is an outstanding Supernatural cozy mystery series. Next-door nearly imaginative cast of characters and a very entertaining storyline. Eden fury is a federal agent with the federal Bureau of magic. She comes from a long line of supernatural‘s and is an actual fury which is rare in her family. She went into the FBI to become an FBI agent and at some point when the bureau realized that she was supernatural they transferred to her to the federal Bureau of magic which deals specifically with supernatural beings crimes and keeping it hidden from the human world. She had escaped her hometown on the East Coast and went out to San Francisco when our troubles began as she was transferred to the FBM and sent back to her hometown to be the local agent in charge. Unfortunately her crazy family lives there and she must deal with them as well as the other supernaturals around town well keeping the peace between the two worlds. The supernatural‘s appear to be humans at least to the humans. They are unaware of the supernatural community and live their lives normally. Unfortunately on occasion there are supernatural‘s that come to town to cause trouble. There is a dormant gate to the other world that seems to attract them. Agent fury and her partner are there to guard the gate and keep an eye on it as well as deal with supernatural crimes in town. This is an entertaining series by a great author of supernatural themed books in series. Check it out you will not be disappointed. The fury series is light and fun. This book - while on the short side - touched on elements of all the key characters had a good story line, and flowed smoothly. Eden's character and powers were more clearly defined, along with the many conflicts and challenges she faced. The proofreading on this book was decent - I only noticed a few instances of omitted words, and the inappropriate use of "I" rather than "we" - which does not tie in to her characters' backgrounds. My rating would be higher but for those elements. I believe writers have a duty to set a good example with the quality of their work, although I do.manage my share of typos!

Ok ,I confess; when reading a mystery, if I guess who done it, before the end, I take off a star. However even though I figured out the murderer before the end, I couldn't take away a star. This book is so much fun, I love all the characters and the story line. Watching as the characters evolve and argue is the best kind of fun. Thanks Annabel Chase !

Anabel Chase has a gift and I’m glad she shares it with us. Every book and series she writes, I love but I believe this one is my favorite. Eden and Chief Fox are so adorable and their relationship just flows so smoothly, it’s effortless and I could read about them all day long. You also get Eden’s family and that makes this series just perfect.

There is a new type of agent in town. Agent Fury doesn't have the security clearance to find out more. A demon has escaped from the underworld. Agent Fury is still hiding her relationship with Sheriff Fox. I love the level of snark in this series. The wit, the humor, so enjoyable. I need more. Read and enjoy!

I love all of Annabel Chase's books and how her characters grow. This book really shows Eden's personal growth since the beginning of the series and how she is coming to terms with herself and her family. Also a great mystery! Definitely start at the beginning if you haven't read any of this series yet!

Eden is called in by Chief Fox to help solve a murder. Their investigation is hampered when Eden’s polar opposite, also an agent with the FBM, shows up in town, and clashes with Eden. Ms Chase will keep you guessing until the end as to the identity of the killer. A must read!

Annabel Chase is a pro at producing a awesome cozy paranormal mystery. I have no idea how she finds the perfect balance between creativity and over the top but she does. I love how Eden realizes she needs to see her family differently and her new friend is kick butt awesome.

And of course, it's a fun read. As always, our girl is in the thick of it. And along with her handsome sheriff, they are developing into quite the force. Scary new characters, a few bodies, it's all good. Come on in, it's a good stand alone as well.

This is my favorite series of MS. Chase. The characters are super fun and the mystery is always engaging. Only 4 stars as the typos and editing mistakes were too numerous to ignore...odd for this author. But I highly recommend this series.

This is a really good book by a very talented writer. The storyline kept me on my toes. I can't wait for the next book by this author. She is a very good and original storyteller! You won't be disappointed at all.

I really enjoy this series. Eden has such a complicated relationships with her family it makes it interesting. I like the introduction of her yin to her yang or visa versa. Keep the story coming I can’t wait

This is a fun series in a mostly paranormal town. The characters are interesting and funny. The plot and subplots move quickly, making it hard to put the book down. I can't wait for the next book!

This series has it all, mystery, romance and humor. The family dynamics are hilarious and just when you think you have them figured out they surprise you.
