Funster 250+ Large Print Word Search Puzzles for Adults: Word Search Book for Adults Large Print with a Huge Supply of Puzzles

I bought this for someone just diagnosed with mild dementia and severe depression. They loved it because of the larger letters but also because it keeps them entertained and their mind active. I’m so grateful to have found this book and will look for more to help her!

I will be enjoying this book for a long time. It has twice as many puzzles as similar books at a lower price-per-puzzle cost. It features a nice eclectic variety of puzzle themes, including Dust, Maple Syrup and Paintball. I got a kick out of seeing Warhol included in the list of words for Canned Soup. My pet peeve is seeing the same word used repeatedly in different puzzles. I guess in a book of more than 7500 words I should expect some repeated words in the different puzzles, but "Food" appears in over 20 puzzles and "Children" appears in at least 11 puzzles. Other words also appear multiple times. Aside from that, the book is well designed with easy-to-read large print. There are no solutions in the back, but they are not really needed anyway, and it saves paper for an already thick book.

I received a Funster word search puzzle for Valentines Day from my daughter. She said she had found her anxiety reducing with the puzzles she had. I loved the large print but the book was heavy and bothered a shoulder I am having to replace because of arthritis. It normally would have been fine weight wise but not just for my situation. I cut along the lines and took out several to work on. This also allowed me to take some with me on the go. Tonight I took the whole book apart. I just attach them to a clip board. That is mobile as well and the clip board is a hard surface to work on. I bought another brand but I will go back to Funster.

Well, not sure whose fault, the Mfr or Amazon, both maybe. One book had water damage, while the other 2 books in the same box are fine. Who sends books and tosses them in a box with other orders, and no wrapping/protection? Based that one book being the Only item with signs of water damage, I suspect it was shipped that way by Amazon... likely a returned item. Not worth returning but disappointed with this order.

This was a gift for my mother who is 86 who loves word search. But the book was too heavy. I cut it in half and it worked for her. The words were large enough.

I purchased this for my elderly mother who suffers from dementia. She sits all day long solving the puzzles. The puzzles and the words are large enough that she does not require eye glasses. This is a small price to pay to keep my mother's brain active. I will purchase again.

These puzzles don’t have the end word to find when you finish. I just do these puzzles to get sleepy before bed, but having no ‘find the prize’ at the end makes them feel pointless. (I know they are, but still, they should have the end of the game!)

This book has large enough print for anyone having trouble reading with most other printed books and it has 250 puzzles, much more than most other books which means one does not have to keep buying new books all the time.

Timmerman makes good puzzles! This one is an “instant gratification” series of puzzles. I seek the “EVERYTHING WORD SEARCH” book 2 (250 puzzles, not large print.) All FUNSTER word search is worth the $$. Bravo Timmerman.

Really easy to navigate

Good puzzle book

254 puzzles with 30 words each on a 14 by 14 grid. That means these puzzles are tightly packed...hurray. Each puzzle is a carefully picked fun topic of interest. The words are of daily use and suitable for all ages that can read. The paper feels good, probably about 90 gsm which is what most paperbacks are printed on today through Amazon. I really like how Mr Timmerman offers free word search and sudoku puzzles with the link in the book...that saves money and makes my dollar go further.

I am a huge fan of Charles Timmerman's puzzle books, especially the word search ones. It is so relaxing to open a puzzle book that has lots of white space and easy-to-read print. The wide inner margins mean I never find myself struggling to circle words that fall down into the middle of the book. Although I don't personally need reading glasses, having the larger puzzle print feels better on my eyes and makes the puzzle-working process more enjoyable. In this latest book, Mr. Timmerman has increased the number of puzzles from 101 to 250 and omitted putting in the puzzle solutions. This works well for me because I typically don't need the solutions while I definitely enjoy the additional puzzles. The puzzle topics are varied and interesting, not just word lists copied off from an Internet site. I have found the puzzles to be challenging enough that they're not super easy, but easy enough that they are fun to work when I need a break from more stressful activities. If you're looking for a great word search book for yourself or to give as a gift to someone who would appreciate larger print puzzles, you can't go wrong with this book

I LOVE word searches. I find them very relaxing after a stressful day. It allows me to concentrate on word searching and forgetting about the day's stresses or troubles! Mr. Timmerman's word search books are my favorites. The large print is terrific! I don't have to wear my glasses with them. This book is 250 puzzles LARGE. So I will be enjoying it for quite some time. He offers more than just word searches in case you're into Sudoku or crossword puzzles or whatever! Quality of the books are outstanding. They do not fall apart. They are a nice size so easy to hold. This one with 250 puzzles is a little heavy but I just use my lap desk. I tear out my finished puzzles so it will become lighter the further in I get into it. His prices are great too. IF you are a word search aficionado, you cannot go wrong with this one or with any of Charles Timmerman's books

I have purchased many of these Funster Large Print Word Search books for my 94 year old mother over the last few years and she loves them! She works on them every morning and enjoys telling me the different subjects & some of the more interesting words. The format is great with a large grid, bold font, and the word list in capital letters all on the same side of the page. This is very important for her, since I rip the pages out of the binding and she uses a clipboard. Most of the previous books had 101 puzzles and are very good, but it is nice that this book has more than double at 252 puzzles. It is well worth the price and well worth the effort to get the pages out of the binding for us. Be sure to look at all the Customer Images to see what you are buying, but I would highly recommend this book.

This is another winner for those of us who are word search fanatics. For anyone new to Mr. Timmerman's puzzle books, I say, purchase this affordable large print puzzle book! I'm sure you will become an avid fan of his puzzles. This book is consistent with the author's attention to detail, well edited style. There is a huge variety of 254 topics covering most every subject. There is one puzzle per page with the grid above and the words to search below. The words are in alphabetical order. The pages are double sided. I couldn't wait to dive right in. I received a gift copy from the author without any expectation of a review. The opinions in this review are my own.

I am a fan of puzzles that exercise the brain, Mr Timmerman’s word search puzzles do just that. I like the large print, the topics of the puzzles are interesting and thought provoking. The size of the book fits easily into my tote bag for use in waiting rooms and for travel. Good job Mr Timmerman!

Chuck Timmerman has done it again with a large selection of multi-themed, stress-relieving puzzles. In this pandemic era of a stay-at-home lifestyle, it is great to have a book of puzzles handy to take your mind off things for a while. The puzzles are hard enough to make you think and keep your mind sharp, but easy enough to be fun! I have enjoyed solving puzzles in many of his books, looking forward to many more.

My daughter bought 250+ LARGE PRINT WORD SEARCH PUZZLES FOR ADULTS a month or so ago. Took a significant fall out of a Cottonwood tree while pruning it 2 years ago. Since then I have been struggling with recall issues. I used these puzzles each morning while starting my day in hopes of stimulating damaged brain cells. Not sure, but I believe these challenges have helped somewhat. The 1st puzzle I did took me 35 minutes to complete 100% and the 254th puzzle was completed @ 100% but only took me 10 minutes to complete. My wife has purchased another book that I will start tomorrow morning. I doubt I'll ever recover my short term memory to where it was before the fall, but every little bit helps, & I will continue to use these tools in the future.

My 96 year old young Dad completes 10+ word search puzzles a day. He's been in "lockdown" for the past 9 months due to COVID. He would have gone stir crazy if he didn't have a Charles Timmerman Word Search puzzle book to do. As usual, Dad was entertained by this book. The font size was perfect for one with "mature" eyes. Thank goodness Mr. Timmerman has many word search puzzle books to choose from. Take the recommendation from a WWII Navy Veteran: "Best word search book around!"

If you like doing word seach puzzles, this is definitely one to consider. First of all, for those of us that are older, the print is larger which makes it a lot easier to work with. The layout is excellent and, last but not least, there are plenty of interesting puzzles to help keep us old folk busy for hours. I highly recommend it.

The grid is above the word list on the same page. It folds nicely while working the puzzles. A fun and relaxing way to pass time. Highly recommended by this puzzle lover!

I purchased these books for my mother who is visually impaired with macular degeneration. She uses a magnifying glass to read regular sized font, but is able to work through the word puzzles in these books without that aid. She absolutely loves them. The paper is also "white" which makes it easier for her to read as well. Excellent quality. I will purchase future books for her.....keep them coming!

Funster250+ is great source of word search puzzles. There is a wide variety of interesting topics. I love the large print format as it gives you a lot of room to circle words and is easy and clear to see. The book is a nice size and easy to balance on your lap. The paper is a good quality.
