What happens when an impulsive American grad student and a brooding British footballer walk into a bar?

An accidental pregnancy, of course.

When Lia Ward picked a fight with the gorgeous man in a London pub about which kind of football was superior, she had no idea who he was. But when a plus sign pops up on a pregnancy test a few weeks later, she's about to find out.
Lia may not know what she wants to do with her life, but pregnant with the hot footballer's baby was not in her life plans. Especially since she's supposed to be finishing her class and leaving London for good.

Jude McAllister is busy grappling with the end of his long-standing career and a strained relationship with his family who’s never even liked football. Add a baby into the mix, plus explosive chemistry with the woman who has completely tipped his life upside down....?

Oh baby, things are about to really heat up.

LOVED LOVED LOVED!

This series! This series is turning out to be everything I didn’t even know I needed. Karla Sorensen delivers on all the things I love the best: the chemistry, the banter, the sweet steady burn that holds my heart in thrall and keeps my greedy little reader heart hungry for more. Floored delivered on all those things – and more! I loved it so much! I absolutely love the entire Ward family, and this book just solidified that love for them. This family just seems to make me all emotional while reading and this story was no different! I AM IN LOVE WITH LIA AND JUDE!!!! I could not get enough of them. These two were BRILLIANT! They not only had immediate and intense chemistry but they form a deep emotional connection that made them an incredible couple. I was hooked right from the start. I LOVE the surprise pregnancy trope. Add in TONS of chemistry, a great build up, ALL the feels, and a storyline that is so easy, and you have Floored . Just AMAZING from start to finish! This book was everything that I love in romance. There was swoon, passion and emotions that made me want to curl up and cry. Karla keeps outdoing herself and I’m so in love with her writing. Floored was another fantastic read and I am falling deeper and deeper in love with the Ward family. This story was so heartwarming and touching, and the epilogue absolutely melted my heart. I am enjoying every second I get to spend in their romances and I absolutely cannot wait for Isabel’s story!

Absolutely LOVED this story!!

I absolutely love the entire Ward family, and this book just solidified that love for them. Lia is such a strong woman, even if she can’t always see it. When she found out she was pregnant, there wasn’t any hesitation. She knew what she needed to do to be the parent this child needed. Jude, that broken man. He’s had a tough childhood, not the same as Lia’s but tough all the same. For him, coming to terms with impending parenthood was a tough pill to swallow. He’s not used to having support or having to worry about other people. They both make the other question themselves in a great way. They have to ask the hard questions, and it’s not always easy, but they show that it can totally be worth it. They may have started off backwards but watching them navigate this pregnancy was utterly amazing. I love Karla Sorensen’s books, and the Ward family (like I said) is my favorite, and I love that we are getting the girls books. I was so curious about what Lia’s story would be like, and Karla absolutely delivered for my girl! Everything from the characters, the plot you name it, it’s amazing. Karla Sorensen takes the reader on an amazing journey, not only with the characters but with the locations as well. I’ve never been to London, but it felt like I was there while reading this book. She created passion and chemistry between Lia and Jude, and to see their character growth…LOVED!! I also loved how much of the entire Ward family we got in this book. Bring on Isabel’s book, I have a feeling that one will be a doozy!!

Lia & Jude

I just love the Ward family and the love and support they have for each other. They’re one of my absolute favorite fictional families. This book has a lot fun dialogue and banter, it’s got a wonderful, supporting family juxtaposed against one that is not so loving and supportive. There’s a lot of emotional baggage these characters must deal with, and it’s well-written. However, while I liked Jude and Lia, I didn’t feel the undeniable, soulmate connection between the two of them. I wondered if they would have ended up together without their surprise baby. Disclaimer: This book was tough for me to read, but it was absolutely a case of ‘it’s not the book, it’s me.’ As someone who has dealt with recurrent pregnancy loss, stories that center on pregnancies - whether they be surprise pregnancies, secret babies, or HEA’s that focus on babies - are emotionally difficult. I chose to read this one anyway, because I love the Wards and Sorenson’s work so much. Sorensen did an excellent job of detailing Lia’s surprise pregnancy from doctors appointments and the first heartbeat to regular produce-size comparisons, to the birth itself. This attention to detail is what makes Sorensen one of my favorite authors, but it’s also, ultimately, one reason I struggled a bit with this book.

Love the Ward Sisters Series!

"Don't be so consumed with what you're missing that you stop paying attention to what's in front of you.” Gosh I love these Ward sisters! Their connection and dedication to each other is my favorite part of the series. No matter the situation they are there for each other with no questions asked, even an ocean apart. Jude and Lia’s story was definitely an unexpected twist in the series, a surprise baby during a semester abroad in Oxford and the baby daddy is none other than a star footballer! Much to their older brothers dismay, the hot athlete attraction seems to have struck all of the sisters. Breaking away from her family in Seattle, Lia was living her dream of studying abroad, but being away from her tight knit family was harder than she expected. That feeling of loneliness was easily relatable and I could see how falling into bed with a hot British man was the perfect distraction. And Jude McAllister was a scrumptious treat of a man, his charming smile could win over any woman’s heart and Lia’s didn’t even stand a chance. Even with the unplanned pregnancy, Lia was feisty as ever and wasn’t going to let anyone keep her from being happy and protecting her new little family. While both had baggage relating to the relationship with their parents, Jude really held onto his feelings and emotions tight, it took a lot for him to open his heart fully and in waiting too long, did some damage to his relationship with Lia. I ached for him to open and heal his heart, knowing that being honest with his feelings was the only way to win Lia’s heart for good. Their love story was a rocky one but in the end they healed their hearts together and created a beautiful addition to the Ward family. “Sometimes, you proved your worth by showing what you were willing to give up.” And let me tell you, I am dang excited for the final book in this series next, that little snippet has me giddy!

I loved it!

Y’all, prepare for gushing because I LOVED Floored! Each of these books make me love the Ward family even more and now that includes Jude. Lia is studying in London when she meets hot footballer, Jude, and subsequently discovers she’s pregnant from their one, amazing night together. Their flirting and banter about football and the real football, according to Lia, is so fun. They have palpable chemistry and indulging in that chemistry is easier than facing their very scary reality. But, an encounter with Jude’s family has Lia rethinking their tenuous relationship because family is everything to her and that doesn’t seem to be true for Jude. I can’t tell you how many times I cried reading this story, simply because I love the Ward family so much and their love for one another gets me every time...like, I was bawling y’all 😭😭😭 You can read this as a stand alone but I definitely recommend reading the whole series, including and starting with The Marriage Effect from the Washington Wolves series. You won’t be disappointed! Floored gets all the stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was provided wiwth an arc from the author to read and review.

Who would have thought scones and sheep could be sexy?

Lia is in England, away from her pro-football (the American kind) family for the first time and lonely. She should be thrilled to be immersed in Brit Lit Mecca, but she’s just...not. When an attempt at tourism turns to a downpour, she stumbles her way into a pub for a pint. Enter Jude, a pro-footballer (the British kind) whose brother owns the pub. Sparks fly when the two connect over the game playing on the pub tv. But when their one-night of explosive fun leads to more than they bargained for, they both need to overcome their pasts to find their way to find a way to a future together. ...... The second-to-last installment in this series, Floored brings in the unplanned pregnancy trope with a twisty-turny contrived meet cute for our couple. I have very much enjoyed every entry in Karla Sorensen’s football world, and this trope happens to be a favorite . Their meeting did seem particularly unbelievable, but once I got past that, I thought the troubles they faced overcoming their past insecurities around their families very endearing. Lia needed to look to her future and believe in herself, and Jude had to overcome an unsupportive family in the face of Lia’s “gang”, who are entwined with each other’s lives that it could be very intimidating to outsiders. Overall, I loved the parts that took place in England, want Rebecca’s scone recipe, and was genuinely pleased when Loa and Jude found their way back to each other in the end.

Lia finds love with Jude!

Lia Ward wasn’t sure what she wanted to do for a career so when she got the chance to study in England for a semester while working on her master’s degree, she grabbed it with both hands meeting Jude McAllister in the process. There is a lot of emotional drama between Jude and his family and Lia still has problems with her mother’s abandonment but meeting and having an unplanned pregnancy and the resulting drama. Reading Floored is worth the HEA between Lia and Jude but you should start with The Marriage Effect to learn all the family drama on the Ward side of the family. Now the waiting for Forbidden and Isabel’s story.

Jude and Lia ❤️

I seriously did not like Lia in her sister’s book. She came across as kind of judgmental and half way mean, maybe a little snotty too. But she was so damn cute in this book. Jude was so perfect for her. It’s a surprise baby book, and I loved their reactions to it, as well as the aftermath. The story was flowing so well, and I was hooked. Even though characters from the previous books make an appearance, Lia and Jude’s story can be read as a stand-alone. I’m looking forward to Isabel’s story which is next, and who also is the last sister. I’m going to miss these people!!!

5 BLOODY AMAZING STARS!!

5 BLOODY AMAZING STARS!! Jude and Lia were bloody amazing...I loved both of these two. I read this book in one sitting....I could not put it down. As always this author words are phenomenal, she gives you all the feels with sexy times. This series has been awesome and I can't wait for the next book.

I love the Wards!

I absolutely loved this story! The characters had so much chemistry and the meet cute was perfect! The dialogue kept me glued to the story. And being able to visit with my favorite family made this such an enjoyable read! I need more now!

Love, Game and Faith

Karla is an amazing author. Her books are so good that once you get started you can’t put them down. This one is book 3 in a series with main characters Lia and Jude. It takes place in London which is exciting. She keeps the theme of an athlete and an intelligent young woman. Now can’t wait for the 4th to come out about Isabel!

Lia and Logan

I enjoyed reading about Lia and Logan. The relationship between the Ward family make this series! I like the contrast of Logan’s relationship with his parents to Lia’s with her family. I especially liked how the love Logan felt for Lia led him to forgiveness and healing.

Loveeeed this book🥰🥰🥰

You can’t help but fall in love with these two. Of course the complete family is awesome. It feels while your reading, that you are a part of what is going on, watching through their eyes. And for my that is the highest praise one can say about an author.

Loved It!

This is my first book by Karla Sorensen and I absolutely loved it. I will definitely be catching up on the previous ones and I’m definitely looking forward to Forbidden, Isabel’s story, when it’s released. I’m so happy I found this author.

Love it!

I love Jude and Lia! Their story is wonderful. Sometimes things happen you didn’t expect and they turn out to be the best thing for you! I love this series and the Ward family! Can’t wait for more!

This has the Feels!!!!❤️

Read this from beginning to end non stop! Love the characters! Jude and Lia are Amazing ❤️Can’t help but want them to get together! Can’t wait for the next book ❤️ Busy Bee

I cried and I laughed.

Great family and love story. It shows how things are not always easy even when you are a a baller. Life is worth the effort. Love is worth the struggles.

Wow! I love Lia and Jude

I don't know how Karla Sorensen does it but each book is better than the last one! I loved Lia and Jude and I love getting snippets of everyone else! I can't wait for Isobel's HEA.

Great read

I really like Jude’s characters for that he was never a “bad” guy. It was a great story and I’m ready for Isabel’s story as the next one up

Lia and Jude

Super cute!! This story pulls you in from the get-go. I loved how real this one felt. Not just a sports romance, but something that could happen to anyone.

I knew but it was still well worth reading.

I've loved every book in this series and don't know if I could pick a favorite. It was sweet, romantic, a simple story, but so good throughout.

Great read

I enjoyed this well written story! The Wards are an amazing family that love each other deeply. Jude was loveable!

Enjoyed Claire’s book and like Lias too

Well written story. Enjoyed the dynamic with Lia and Jude and the Ward family. An easy read for the summer break.

Great Story

I read the other stories in the series and was excited to read this Lia's story. It was well written. Laughed and teared up.

Disappointing

I was enjoying the book until she ran away. It didn't make any sense, she was having his child, he wanted the baby yet she wasn't willing to stay and try to work things out. His parents were wrong not him and again she ran away. My sympathy was with him not her. He missed out on so much of her pregnancy, her family got to be a part of it but not him. I thought she was the one that needed to see a therapist more then he did. you made it seem like he was the bad guy in the relationship when I felt she was in the wrong. Very disappointing.

Did not make sense..

The storyline was not executed that well. The reasons for the angst of the h not being closed to his parents and the heroine as being opposite did not make sense. The mc left the h because she was shock that h wasn't close to his parent. No chemistry or anything interesting on this book. Pretty much focused on the characters family dynamics mostly. Also, the sex scenes were boring. DNF..

Lia and Jude

I look forward to this authors work more often than most other authors because she slays me with her talent. So you know it is always a good day when one of Sorensens books lands on your kindle. I can honestly say I become so hopelessly devoted to every book she writes. I'm talking, falling face first without coming up for air. While Floored was not my favorite book this author has wrote, it was still decent book. These Ward Sisters have owned me, and I feel like I have been waiting forever for Lia's book. It goes without saying, her story took on something I was not expecting and believe it or not, I preferred the path that her story took; the independence and the unexpected surprise of a lifetime. I can say I am AGAIN a HUGE fan of how family oriented this whole series is. It makes for some awesome witty banter and amazing dialogue. The pace was good even though at times I was confused about timelines. There were just a couple instances where it was one day, and the next thing I know it was a whole different day. That could be the development? Heck I am not sure. Now I am sure you are all wondering why the 3 stars? I didn't feel the powerful pull between Lia and Jude. I didn't get the sense that it was an all consuming force of lust/love that would make them be soulmates or even an unforgettable love, and I NEEDED THAT. I needed the energy that comes with two people that can not get enough of one another. I will forever be a fan of this authors work, and I can not wait for more of these sisters.

Another great Ward Sister book!

When I was reading this book, I think I finally realized why I love Karla’s writing style so much. She puts the couple at the forefront. There are things happening around the couple, but the book never strays from the pair at the focus. I love it because it really helps me connect with the characters and just fall in love with them together. And y’all, I did exactly that with Floored! Floored is a cute and emotional surprise baby romance with a bit of an age-gap! Oh, and it’s a sports romance too! I didn’t quite know what to expect from Lia’s book going into it. We really haven’t gotten to see much under the surface and I hadn’t felt that connection with her like I did with the other sisters. BUT, she completely changed that in this book. You learn so much about her and I feel like she is the most relatable sister. She’s struggling to find her place in the world and figure out what she wants to do with her life. This really was her story and it was beautiful. Jude is such a sweet hero. At first, he comes across as a bad boy football (soccer) player, but once you really start peeling back his layers he becomes so much more. He hasn’t had the smoothest upbringing and he’s battling with some inner issues because of it. It was amazing to watch him grow throughout this book in order to find his happiness. Lia and Jude went so well together and even though there were some bumps in the road on their journey it was well worth the ride! And I will be completely honest, there were moments where I was pulling my hair with frustration and didn’t understand why certain choices were made throughout the book. But by the end of it, I fully understood why things played out the way they did. This was such a sweet story and I didn’t want it to end. This book warmed my heart and made me smile so big. I’m going to be sad when this series ends because I love this amazing family so much. My most anticipated book of the series is Isabel’s and I am so excited that we will be getting hers next! This is one of my top series of the year!

When You Simply Want to Be An Unofficial Ward Sister

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hyper rationalism focuses on all things based on logic. Oftentimes, hyper-rationalists disregard the power of the arts to connect to the spirit. For me, good writing has always produced emotions that remind me of my humanity, therefore, indicating that I could never ascribe to the world of hyper rationalism. Good writing reflects our humanity, magnifying our positives and our negatives. There are certain truths to be self-evident about Karla Sorensen. Most importantly, she has her finger on the pulse of romance readers in that she can draw that mirror and craft stories that remind us of the gravity of living. In her newest book, Floored, she once again illustrates her gift of character-driven stories through the journey of Jude and Lia. What began in The Marriage Effect, continues in Floored, the third book of her Ward Sisters’ series. I can tell you that this book has as much heart as Focused and Faked. I can tell you that it has the typical steam level as her other books, which, for me, is a 2.5 to a 3. I can tell you that the plotting of the story is streamlined in such a way that you easily gobble this book in one sitting. There are never any struggles through Sorensen’s books, meaning that her prose and her storytelling draw you in and keep you engaged. All of the aspects we love about Sorensen’s books are found in Floored. What I want to focus on in this review, however, is the level of characterization found in this story that bowls you over. There are two lessons to be learned from this book: (1) that the past should not define your present and future, and (2) that family is THE most important part of living. I want to focus on the second message of this book because, for me, it magnifies Sorensen’s craftsmanship. You see, this story began in The Marriage Effect. It is there where the Ward Sisters along with Logan and Paige illustrate the cohesion of building a foundation of intimacy between family members. In Focused, Faked, and now Floored, the consequence of Logan and Paige protecting that foundation undergird the stories of the Ward women. So much so, that Sorensen’s heroes depict the antithesis to the Ward family. We learn from the Wards that familial intimacy is created with vulnerability, transparency, trust that the other people have your best intention, and acceptance. The cohesion of these traits is love. It coats each of them like a protective layer. In Floored, Lia notes it as a team or a “gang.” Yet, what Sorensen does so deftly through her heroes in this series is to show how special the Ward family is through the broken families of her heroes in these stories. We see the ultimate antithesis with Jude’s family, and it suggests that Sorensen knows that families are special whether we are born into them or construct them through our own choices. As Jude and Lia undergo their journey, we can use the Ward family as a measure. Lia and Jude are intimate, but in comparison to the Ward family, they lack intimacy in their relationship. And it’s there where a grown-up Lia must make choices. Besides crafting a “healthy” family in the Wards, Sorensen, through her characterization of Lia, shows us what it means to set healthy boundaries for your relationships. While boundaries can be emotionally painful, as we see developed throughout this story, we also see the fruit of it in her characters’ lives. Again, while this is all culled through the scope of a romance story, we can still learn these truths in a way that feels reflective of our nature. To me, that is the power of Sorensen’s storytelling. Floored speaks through its quiet moments, making my heart soft, and it speaks through its loud ones, forcing my heart to float to my throat. Jude’s particular story of the past as a harbinger of his present and future is a profound one, and the care that Sorensen takes in crafting his shift feels important. In fact, it makes for some of the most romantic parts of this book. But, for me, that isn’t the best part of Karla Sorensen’s Floored. For me, the best part of this book is the Ward family. My older mother, who has become a devoted Sorensen fan like me, asked me if I have a favorite book of the series, and while The Marriage Effect isn’t officially a part of the Ward Sisters’ series, it is still my favorite. I adore the girls, but my heart will always belong to Logan because even in his struggles, he crafted a family and a home for his sisters. And that foundation has been elemental in reminding Sorensen’s readers that our true family is the people who ultimately love us in our good times and our bad and accept us no matter what.

Least favorite in the series

Spoilers I hate to say it but this one was BAD. I hated Lia, she was selfish I just couldn't understand her thoughts and actions. She made a huge decision and kinda just blamed it on lack of communication. I just couldn't fathom that kind of decision. I liked Jude and he was definitely the only good thing about this book. Like other reviewers have stated if it weren't for Lia being pregnant I don't think these two characters would have lasted. There was zero chemistry. Would not recommend and SKIP altogether.

3.5 stars!

I love the Ward family, but this book was not my favorite. There was a fairly consistent feeling of distance and discouragement- for both of them personally, and in their relationship with each other. The story began with some really good chemistry between the two of them but, as time went on, they just seemed to get more and more distant. It left me with a sense of hopelessness at times, like they weren't even gonna try to make things work. Thank goodness it ended the way it did, finally feeling more like Ward Family story! There was enough goodness, both at the beginning and at the end, for me to rate this with 3.5 stars.

One Night Stand turned pregnancy

3.5 stars One semester in Oxford, started out with one sweaty night with a hot british man. A positive pregnancy test. When I realised that Floored has a one-night-stand turned baby storyline, I wasn’t too excited. It’s not easy to pull all the pieces together seamlessly to build a functional relationship during a pregnancy, and to find a realistic way to tell the father right after finding out about the pregnancy. The first half of the book was a five star read for me. From the chemistry between Jude and Lia during their one night stand, to how Lia found out about the pregnancy, telling Jude about it and starting to get to know each other, it was absolutely amazing. Pretty much everything I worry about with this trope worked out so PERFECTLY. They were so at ease with each other, with being in the moment. I especially loved all the Football vs American Football banter. This is where my issues started. While they were so good with the present, I feel like there was no talk about the past or the future. We got to see blips and glimpses from Jude, but mostly by reading between the lines. And while Lia at some point voiced her concerns, she didn’t really tell Jude about anything regarding her past, or her plans for the future. If we hadn‘t already known Lia, and her story, from the previous Ward books, I would know very little about why she is the way she is, and we don’t get a feel for how much she told Jude about herself besides about her sisters and Logan. Even after finishing the book, I don’t feel like I know Jude. I know some about his issues, mostly through context. I am sad that his team, apart from their captain in the locker room, wasn’t a part of his life. It seems like Jude went to practice and matches, and scowled at everyone around him. I wanted to hug and smack him up the head at the same time. It feels like that the few real talks they had about their lives, as well as big parts of their relationship building, happened off page, which is absolutely frustrating to a reader that LOVES communication.

I love Lia and Jude SO MUCH!

Holy scone can Karla write! This book is everything I could want in a romance. The writing and story are superb, and Lia and Jude are just so incredible as individuals with raw emotional ups and downs. And together, they are something quite special. My love for the Ward family continues to grow. Lia was every bit as fun and feisty as I had hoped, but her insecurities and realness were heartachingly beautiful. Jude is grade A book boyfriend material. This poor man is a bit broken and his yearning for what's missing in his life is palpable. Their meet-cute is saucy and sexy and will make you smile for days. The unexpected path that follows pushes them both to their limits, but they navigate the stressful situation with relatable honesty. Walls crumble and they both show endearing personal growth. With England, football (the real one...Ha!), scones, the greats of English literature, family, angst, sexy times, feelings...this wonderful story gets 5+ stars from me!

4,5 Beautiful Stars

Floored by Karla Sorensen is book three in her Ward Sisters Series. Every book in this series is about another couple and can easily be read as a stand-alone. For best reading experience I recommend to read the books in order. This is Lia's story. Lia Ward, the 22 year old twin to Claire and youngest of the four sisters is visiting London for the semester Jude MacAllister is a 31 year old football/soccer star, plays in the premier league and is already through a lot. He's a bit of everything - a bit lonely, a bit bitter, a bitstagnant in his job/ the rivalry seems pretty big. And then the both stumble over each other, insta-attraction, ons - that's it. Nope, this is where their story stars out. Lia and Jude are people who have to figure out how to make a relationship work, how to carry themselves, how tobuild a life together. Floored is a slow burn, an intense, emotional read that gave me all the feels. A great read, 4,5 beautiful stars.

Slow & lacked romance

This is the first book I have read from this author and while overall it wasn’t terrible it wasn’t great either. It did not feel like a romance because it mainly focused on the characters and their issues and their issues with their families. There wasn’t much that happened between them other than the pregnancy. Honestly the book dragged on in many areas that were unnecessary. I did finish the book because I always fear I might miss something great but if you haven’t read this author before and aren’t invested in the ward family (I am assuming there were other books regarding the other couples characters) then I would skip this book.

Karla does it again, 3 Ward Sisters = 3 5-star absolutely addicting reads......

“I knew she'd be the one to make me want to risk it. Risk anything.” Floored is the third installment of the Ward Sisters series, featuring the accidental pregnancy sports romance of Lia Ward & Jude McAllister. Lia came to England to learn from one of her literary idols, but being away from her tight-knit family results in her sitting at a pub all alone desperate for a cure to her loneliness. She didn’t know the gorgeous man who sat next to her, only that he was exactly what she needed.....he needs to blow off steam, and the confident feisty American beauty is exactly who can help take his mind off the stress of feeling past his prime and the fear of losing his purpose. No last names, she doesn’t need to know he’s a British football star......one night of mind blowing explosive sex results in a positive pregnancy test, leading to these two strangers having to navigate their one night of passion now being a whole lot more. "When you meet the most important person in your life, and your soul can go, Oh, yes, you're the one I've been waiting for." It’s no secret I LOVE me some Ward’s, this tight-knit family is one of my all-time favorite fictional families. I eagerly anticipate every new sisters story, being just as excited for each one because it’s impossible to have favorites in this family! So far every book has been every bit as amazing as I expected it to be, Karla does an incredible job at giving each sister her own unique story while also making you love the others that you can’t help but be fully invested in seeing all of them get their HEA eventually. Karla may be a new(er) to me author, but she continues to prove to me that she has the potential to become a favorite storyteller of mine. I’m absolutely obsessed with the Ward sisters. “Everything inside me felt drawn to Lia, tugged toward her like she'd yanked her fist inside my chest and refused to let go.” Book Facts: Told in: Dual POV, all present day. Type? An interconnected standalone within the Ward family “universe”, can be read on its own or in order for an overall better reading experience. Triggers: N/A. Ends in: HFN-ending for couple with a sneak peek into the next sister’s installment (releasing this year). The Main Players: Jude McAllister: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And maybe this, this version of Jude that was smooth and slick and studied—was armor, but I didn't want the man I gave my heart to, the man who I'd made a child with, to use that armor with me. Lia Ward: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lia wasn't just in my future, some concept I couldn't quite grasp. She was flesh and blood, and right in front of me as somehow the least complicated part of my life. What I liked: ❤️It didn’t take long for me to realize this was going to get steamy and Jude was the one to deliver.... "I'm the man who's about to give you an education, love." .....but I expected it to be hot, what I didn’t quite expect is the way she built it up and made even the simplest of acts.... "Isn't that the appeal?" His other hand rose, just the pad of his thumb landing in the middle of my mouth. "Don't tell me it's not." He dragged my bottom lip down, and oh, my gawd, I was panting audibly. "The only thing you know right now is that you want me over top of you. You want me between those pretty, long legs." He dipped down and ran his nose along my cheekbone, his mouth ghosting over my skin. Just shy of touching me. .....so deliciously sexy. This book isn’t filled with sex (in fact there are very few scenes) but the ones that are included are worth the wait in between. ❤️As I said before, I am obsessed with the Ward family so of course they would be a “big positive” in this book. They are such an easy group to love and connect with.... "The Wards are like their own gang. We'll defend each other to the death, and once you're in," she said ominously, "you can never get out." ....showcasing an unconventional family element but a family that features the kind of love, loyalty, support, and bonds that you could be jealous of. They are all amazing, but big brother turned father figure Logan takes the cake for me..... "I need you to try not to worry, okay?" "Impossible," he answered, voice a gruff, tortured whisper. "I worry about you four every single day as it is, and not because I don't trust you. It's part of the deal when you love someone so much that you'd die for them. The worst thing you can imagine is them hurting and you can't do anything about it." .....I still don’t know why I haven’t read his book since it started it all (so to speak). It’s impossible to walk away from this series bc she’s made it impossible to walk away from these characters. ❤️The funny moments, definitely the funny moments. From the youngest Ward Emmett’s inability to make sense of the baby to fruit comparison.... "Mighty big word for a nine-year-old." "We do have to learn 3D shapes, Lia. I'm almost ten." .....to the rather accurate depiction of the “emotional struggles” of labor..... "I love you, Jude. I'm not going to call you names." "Oh, you selfish piece of sh," I groaned. "If you eat one more piece of food in front of me—" .....to the realistic example of new motherhood.... “Hush little baby, don’t say a word,” I sang, rocking Gabriel in his nursery, “Momma’s gonna go have private time with Daddy, and I’ll buy you a freaking pony if you stay asleep for the next hour.” .....she brought humor into so many aspects of this story. ❤️I love both Jude and Lia for many reasons, but Jude and his amazing daddy potential was just “it” for me....the way he was so invested in the smallest details of everything.... "Did you know that a baby at twenty-four weeks’ gestation is the same length as sweetcorn?" I asked. He froze, glancing at me with wide eyes. "Err, no. I wasn't aware." "Well, it f-ing is, all right? An ear of corn. I didn't get a picture that week. I missed the sweetcorn." .....to his unwavering dedication to unconditionally supporting his child no matter what.... “Whatever passion they were born with, whatever thing lit them up inside, I'd move heaven and hell to help them hone that into a life. I'd never make them feel like less for loving something different than I did. The opposite actually. If they wanted to paint or draw or write or spin pirouettes or design clothes, I'd tear my hands to blood and bone if I could carve out a place in the world for them to do the thing they loved.” .....to my absolute favorite, his desire to in the event of having a little girl to watch her conquer the world but also recognizing how hard it would be on her in the process... "Though I'll probably be a rubbish girl dad." Lia laughed. "Why do you say that?" "Because I'll want her to conquer a world that won't make it easy for her to do so." .....if I had one wish for the next installments it would be to see Jude in his daddy element (in the “background” of course). What I didn’t: 🖤I can’t say this was a “huge” deal for me, but I can’t post this review without at least mentioning how frustrated I was with Lia 1-2 times in this book. I get she’s in her early 20s BUT just be prepared, she’s a runner. Some situations I get, but the way she handles herself in specific instances was rage-inducing. I don’t want to spoil anything so that’s all I’m going to say. The Verdict: The Ward sisters are 3 for 3 with me right now, all having amazingly written yet uniquely told stories courtesy of the phenomenally talented Karla Sorensen. Jude & Lia were just the latest addicting page-turner she can add to an ever growing impressive collection of work.....I cannot wait to see where Isabel and new retired pro fighter boss take us with their forbidden/single dad romance next! One things for sure, it’s going to be hot!! “We could make all the plans we wanted, but ultimately, the exact right path for us was the one we'd end up on. And this was mine.”

The perfect dose of laughter, heat, and heart in this epic romance!

4.5 stars! Another heart-stopping romance courtesy of the feisty Ward sisters. Everything that we've grown to love about this family gets magnified in Lia's storyline which centers around an accidental pregnancy after a one night stand. I could not turn the pages fast enough! While I do think this book can be read as a standalone if you choose, I feel it is even more enjoyable if you've read the previous books in the series. You'll love them all! The third book in the series packs a powerful punch in the feels as we get to know professional footballer Jude McAllister and the family he's more or less estranged from. My heart really went out to Jude who seemed to carry so much baggage on his broad shoulders. He was a great guy who possessed an enormous heart and was the quintessential good guy. At first glance he seems like the kind of guy who has it all, but as we delve into his background you learn that even professional athletes have their hardships of sorts. Little did Jude know, that the answer to his heartache would come in the form of a feisty American student named Lia Ward. Lia is a terrific heroine! She's sassy and smart, and she knows her worth. Despite being abandoned by her mother as a young child, she has grown up secure in the knowledge that she has a family that loves and adores her. Raised by her professional athlete brother Logan, and ultimately his wife Paige as well, Lia Ward quite literally has the support of a pack of wolves at her disposal. The Wards are a close knit bunch in their own right, but the Washington Wolves team will always have their backs too. I love that Karla Sorensen ties this series so closely with her previous series. She has a gift for writing a sports centered romance!! Lia and Jude have an undeniable connection right from their first meeting. I wouldn't call it love at first sight, as much as it was an intense liking fueled by an insane attraction. Neither party typically feels compelled to act as swiftly on said attraction as they did during their first meeting, but Lia was in a particular headspace, in a new country, away from her family, and she just couldn't deny the way this sexy footballer made her feel. Jude excelled at being the perfect distraction and stress reliever! At least that was the idea...lol. Stress took on a whole new form with the pregnancy reveal. In some respects, the storyline is somewhat predicable....we know a HEA is coming. However, the journey is anything but, and trust me, you'll love it! Jude was such a breath of fresh air. I loved how sensitive and respectful he was, how patient and understanding he was, and how he desperately wanted to break the mold and be the father his child deserved!! Such a great guy!! In that respect, kudos to Lia too for her determination to rock this mama role in spades. She was willing to make any sacrifice to care for herself and her child, and it just had me cheering for her so loudly! I admired the way that she embraced this unexpected event, and how she seemed to find joy in so many things along the way to her HEA. I loved how hard she fought for Jude and believed in him. They were a charming couple that got better and better as they learned more about one another. The friendship they developed paved the way for a beautiful love story that is sure to make you swoon. Add in all the layers of laughter, and fun that the Ward family served up in this story (especially big brother Logan... what a man!) and you have a very enjoyable read indeed! Highly recommend!

Sexy and sweet

This opens with the kind of magnetic chemistry that makes you want to clear your schedule and dive in for a full day of reading. I loved that immediate connection, and it kicked off a great first half to this unexpected pregnancy romance. The storyline is a mix of light, sexy, and emotional, leading with the sweet before slowly transitioning into the angsty. And while the back half took some of the sparkle out of this romance, I understood the transition and appreciate the depth it gives this otherwise heartwarming read. There’s a focus on family in all its forms, and it will tug on your heartstrings in a big way. The story follows Lia, an American college grad who is spending a semester in England while working on her master’s degree. Lia’s not sure what she wants to do with her life, and is feeling a little lost and alone when she heads to a cozy pub in town. It’s there that she meets Jude, a sexy, mysterious British guy who has his own reasons for seeking out the comfort of easy conversation with a stranger. Their banter soon leads to one steamy night together, and just as these two are figuring out if there will ever be more to them than that… Lia discovers that she’s pregnant. The unexpected pregnancy changes the course of their whole relationship, so Lia and Jude have to figure out if they’re ready for any of what will happen next. I loved how natural it all felt. These two are both a little lost and broken, each with things on their mind that led them to act out of character. And while spending a night with a stranger is easy, co-parenting with someone who lives across the globe is anything but. So they’re forced to dig deeper and get to know each other on a level they probably wouldn’t have otherwise. Through it all, the chemistry shines through. I loved these two together – so much of their relationship just made complete sense, and it was really something special to see how they fit. This was easily a 5-star read in the first half – light, and sweet, and a little swoonworthy, with just a bit of trouble brewing beneath the surface. The back half… well, the back half is bumpier. I didn’t love it in the same way, and yet I also understand why it needed to happen the way it did. This one will put you through a range of emotions, and I loved the character growth that happens. It’s family-focused with appearances by each of Lia’s siblings, and while this easily stands on its own, fans of the author are in for a treat. I’m absolutely looking forward to more from the series – and am very intrigued by the tease we get at the end. I was lucky enough to receive an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this unexpected pregnancy/sports romance.

I absolutely loved this!

I was provided and ARC via the author in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved this! Why did I not know about a chip butty before reading this book? I'm from Pittsburgh, and for those of you who aren't familiar with the area, many different nationalities settled here after coming from Europe because of the work the rivers provided. A large part of the population here is of Irish descent, and I'm not sure if that is why we put french fries on everything, but we do. I'm not kidding, salads, sandwitches, everything! When Jude makes Lia a french fry sandwich on butter bread as comfort food, I felt like I should have been eating this delicacy my entire life because butter bread and french fries are two of my favorite things ever! I feel like I need to plan a trip to England for the food alone mentioned in this book. OK now onto the actual book review... Lia is on her semester abroad to study the Bronte sisters at Oxford. She is missing her family terribly when her twin Claire suggests she find a cute British boy to flirt with. Lia does just that when she comes face to face with Jude McAllister. He is a soccer/football pro and she has no idea who he is. As the little sister of a pro American Football star, she is no stranger to the pro athlete lifestyle back home, but she is clueless when it comes to British footballers. They get into a heated debate on which football is the better football and their attraction is instant. The are both OK with one night of fun to fill their lonely spirits, but when Lia finds herself pregnant a few weeks later they are both in for more than they bargained for. Jude is at the precipice of his football career and it is weighing heavily on him. He is coming to grips with the fact that he isn't as young as he used to be, meaning that there are faster players who want his spot on the team. He has the weight of the world on his shoulders when Lia drops the baby bomb on him, which is yet another stress he doesn't need. Wanting his child not to deal with the same family drama he has dealt with, he and Lia settle into a comfortable arrangement with each other. They both have family stuff in their past that they aren't really willing to discuss or deal with, but as Lia's time in England nears it's end they both have to come to terms with how their relationship is going to work and if they have real feelings for each other. I don't want to spoing anything for you because the character development and them dealing with their issues was my favorite part of the book. I really loved how Karla paired these two characters and really made them examine parts of themselves that they really didn't want to. She made them deal with their problems with each other, their past, and their families in a very realistic way and I'm a huge fan.

Floored

I just knew I would be liking this book too. So far I have really enjoyed all of the Ward sisters books. I mean Gosh I love these Ward sisters! Their connection and dedication to each other is my favorite part of the series. No matter the situation they are there for each other with no questions asked, even an ocean apart. As for Logan and Paige they are the reason they are such a close tight knit group or how Izabel refers to them a gang. This book is about Jude and Lia’s story and was definitely an unexpected twist in the series, a surprise baby during a semester abroad in Oxford and the baby daddy is none other than a star footballer or soccer player! Much to their older brothers dismay, the hot athlete attraction seems to have struck all of the sisters. I love it. Lia get a chance to breaking away from her family in Seattle, and takes the chance to live her dream of studying abroad. Being away from her tight knit family was harder than she expected. Resulting in that feeling of loneliness was easily relatable and I could see how falling into bed with a hot British man was the perfect distraction. As for Jude McAllister was a scrumptious treat of a man, his charming smile could win over any woman’s heart and Lia’s didn’t even stand a chance. They spend a night together that changes both of their lives. Even with her life being changed and the unplanned pregnancy, Lia is super feisty as ever and wasn’t going to let anyone keep her from being happy and protecting her new little family. While they both have baggage relating to the relationship with their parents, Jude really held onto his feelings and emotions tight. After holding on too tight to his anger and resentment it took a lot for him to open his heart fully and in waiting too long, did some damage to his relationship with Lia. I ached for him to open and heal his heart, knowing that being honest with his feelings was the only way to win Lia’s heart for good. Their love story was a rocky one but in the end they healed their hearts together and created a beautiful addition to the Ward family.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You. Guys. I’m so in love with the Wards - and ALL their circle. I can’t even pick a favorite. Tied for first! Sorensen has done such an incredible job creating this series. The depth of character; angsty, feisty, steamy, snarky, heartfelt, swoony, unconditionally loyal perfection of their family dynamic...there are not enough adjectives to describe my adoration. I feel like Wayne or Garth in the midst of a “we’re not worthy” declaration. Lia Ward is the serious sister. Big dreams, big goals, and a big opportunity await her during her semester abroad studying at Oxford. Sprinkle in homesickness, add a dash of seize the moment, cue the “chance encounter with a handsome stranger”, top it with accidental pregnancy, and you’ve got a winning recipe in Sorensen’s gifted hands. I’ve been looking forward to Lia’s book because of her sassy smart personality. This book is absolutely a stand-alone, but I think you’ll get maximum enjoyment if you get to know the rest of the Washington Wolves family in advance. A few things I love about Sorensen’s writing – she’s all about the couple. She uses the secondary characters to support them and help tell the story, but there is so much truth in their hopes & fears that you’re just completely enmeshed in their lives, invested in their HEA. You know the HEA is coming – of course it’s coming. You’d be pretty wrecked if it didn’t, don’t lie. But as with most things in life, it’s the journey that gets ya. I cried...a bunch of times. The relationship between Lia and Jude may have started out as superficial in those early moments, but it quickly became anything but. The friendship they developed, the support they showed for one another as they both grew – that’s what makes it. I was pleased that it wasn’t a rush to the altar due to the pregnancy surprise for either character. The realism and relatability; flaws and evolution of the couple are what make you root for their HEA. I’m out of words, because there's no way to do it justice except to say: Go. Read. Swoon. Cry. Laugh. Love.

perfect mix of angst, heart, humor

First, I adore the Ward family, so it wasn't a surprise that I also love this book. How is it that every time Karla Sorensen writes an addition to this series, I love it more than the last? And every time I start the new book, I'm SURE she can't beat the previous, but she does. Lia is studying abroad in London under the direction of her idol Dr. Cathrine Atwood, a once in a lifetime opportunity. Feeling homesick after a call with her twin, she decides to stop moping and seize every moment she can, including one with the hot stranger sitting next to her in the bar. Jude's life is complicated, a star in the Shepperton FC, it's been a while since someone has wanted to be with him for reasons other than his fame. Estranged from his parents and only seeing his brother occasionally he lives a pretty solitary life. When he realizes that the beautiful young American has no idea who he is, he decides to indulge for once. "Then I'll get that moment, you know?" "What moment?" I asked, so fully entranced by her. "When you meet the most important person in your life, and your soul can go, oh, yes, you're the one I've been waiting for." Floored made my face leak, I had actual tears falling. Lia was so relatable in her fears but I love her bravery despite the circumstances. Jude made my heart ache if there's one thing I can relate to, it's dysfunctional families in any form. The distance and time apart just about killed me I was on edge the whole time hopefully waiting, fortunately, Karla Sorensen delivered a beautiful hea. There were also several moments when I found myself cackling. This book is the perfect mix of angst, heart, humor, and of course, that second epilogue. Is it too early to start a countdown to the next book?

LOVED LOVED LOVED!

Bloody hell, this was good! I could not wait for Lia’s story. I knew it was going to be good. And the author did not disappoint. This well-written, age gap romance is one I didn’t want to put down. You know those stories you read, that hook their claws into you right away and don’t let you go? Yeah, that was this story. The author brings so much emotion to the pages. I could feel everything. The Ward Family. Need I say more? They have got to be one of my favorite fictional families. I so wish they were real. I feel so happy and at home when I’m reading about them. Lia is one of the twins, the wild one, in the family, and she is in England studying for her master’s program. One rainy night, she ends up in a bar and meets a sexy, swoony British man. His name is Jude, and he’s a professional football player, unbeknownst to her. The chemistry between these two - oh my goodness. The sparks, the sizzles...they were everything together! Let the feels begin! Jude is 31, Lia is 22. But you would never guess that. Lia, who has been through so much, is wise beyond her 22 years. She’s smart with a good head on her shoulders. But she wants just one night of passion and fun and to let loose. Jude is thrilled to meet an American girl who hasn’t a clue who he is. One night of fun won’t hurt anything or anyone, right? But wait...OOPSIE. An accidental pregnancy happens, making this story that much more interesting, highly entertaining, and full of many powerful and emotional moments. The banter had me smiling, the passion left me breathless, and Lia & Jude stole my heart. This was another EXCELLENT story in this fabulous series!

Ohmygosh! This was sooooo good!

Ohmygosh. This was soooooo good! Absolutely delicious! A sweet, sexy romance that felt decadent and swoony and the perfect amount of emotional. I recently acknowledged that I think I have a thing for surprise baby tropes and this just confirms it: I definitely have a thing for surprise baby tropes. I was hooked on Lia and Jude's story from the flirty, fun meet-cute. Their banter was the exact sort of snappy, smart, laced-with-heat kind that I'm a sucker for, every time. Their chemistry fired up immediately and I was on board, every step of the way. Things moved very quickly in this story, but I never felt like it was at the expense of anything. I loved the way that Lia and Jude's romance blossomed. I loved how they adjusted the speed of things to suit their needs (even when it kinda sorta broke my heart). I loved their aching tenderness and their honest communication and their sweet sweet adoration of each other. Also? I love the Ward family so much. It's an extra layer of goodness (in this veritable sea of goodness). I laughed at their plucky and overbearing communication style and the fierce way they supported each other. It's so authentic and emotionally satisfying to read. The dynamic of this motley bunch might be the real MVP of this series. Though, that's taking nothing away from the bewitching chemistry between Jude and Lia (and their own little family dynamic). My heart fluttered and flipped and filling to bursting over their sweetly satisfying story. I loved it. This whole thing. It's the whole package and it was absolutely fantastic. And I'm so thrilled that there is another story to come!

Family - It's What Shapes Us

Floored just blew me away! First, Jude is flawed but mesmerizing. With that British accent, the way he acts with Lia, and his slightly snarky personality, he is swoony. Lia, who I had only gotten to know in Faked as Claire's twin sister, showed much more depth and tenderness than I expected. I suppose this is one of those times I should berate myself for not going back and reading the Washington Wolves series, or at least Molly's story in this series to get to know Lia better. Regardless, I came out of this book totally enthralled by both main characters. This story involved dealing with emotional baggage, and Jude had more than his share, and Lia had her own she brought with her to the UK. The theme for them was what do you focus on to avoid facing your truths. This reality was heartbreakingly hard, and it was challenging reading as they did what they needed to do. Karla's writing about this was on point, and you actually felt their pain as they struggled to do what was emotionally healthy. And that, right there, showed a level of maturity that is not usually brought to the forefront of the storyline. I loved watching these two work through not what they wanted but what was needed. After reading Faked, I thought perhaps the goodness of that story was a fluke, but I know now it was not. Floored was a supremely satisfying read and has re-affirmed to me that Karla Sorensen is a fantastic writer. Her stories worded beautifully show emotion, tenderness, passion, family-loyalty, sisterhood, and pure love in a crystalline form that leaves the best kind of book hangover.

Beautiful Story!

Oh how I loved Jude and Lia’s story! I cannot get enough of the Ward sisters and this story drew me in from the very first page. The chemistry and connection between Lia and Jude was magnetic and instant, starting with their flirty banter and playful jabs to their steamy hookup that ends up in an accidental pregnancy. I loved it all. Lia is an American college graduate that has just accepted a rare opportunity to study at Oxford University in England for one semester in their English Literature Program. Being so far away from her huge family she is feeling slightly out of place and lonelier than she expected. There is so much I loved about Lia. She is beautiful, passionate, smart and has a bold, fierce attitude. I love all the Wards but the special connection she has with her twin sister, Claire I adored. Jude is a professional footballer. He is gorgeous, funny and has the sweetest heart. I LOVED him and he was the perfect man for Lia. When it comes to his family he is the complete opposite of Lia and was slightly overwhelmed by the Wards. His parents have caused some real emotional scars and my heart squeezed for him and the pain he carries because of them. The Ward family hold a special place in my heart and just when I think I can’t love them anymore they rally and provide nothing but unconditional, loving support. Although there were many bumps in the road, the journey Lia and Jude travel was beautiful and written perfectly for them. Karla has delivered another phenomenal story that gave me all the feels. I adore the heart and passion that she pours into her stories and this one was no exception.

“Sometimes, you proved your worth by showing what you were willing to give up.”

While accidental pregnancy is not a favorite of mine, I was charmed by Lia and Jude and the pregnancy that drew them together. Lia and Jude met one rainy night in a London pub and one thing led to another. When their one night together results in a pregnancy, how will Lia and Jude handle the differences in their life and resolve their pasts in order to raise a child together? “Be careful that you don’t anchor your thoughts so firmly on the past that it’s hard for you to deal with your future, especially If part of that future is unclear.” I loved Lia and Jude together. The banter between these two was sizzling and I was rooting for them to figure things out so they could be together. They came from two different worlds yet they were able to relate to each other despite their differences and their age gap. I LOVED that nobody made a big deal about the age gap. That seems so rare in books these days and I often wonder why everyone is so hung up on a few years difference in age. “Lia’s strength had been showing me what love looked like when you asked someone to be accountable for their actions.” Both Lia and Jude had to grow up and confront their pasts in order to move forward. That growth helped them develop a loving relationship that was a delight to watch blossom. I love all of the Ward family books and Floored was no exception. If you are a fan of this series and even if you haven’t read any of them, you should definitely read this charming book. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

One word... Lovely!

This was an absorbing read that evoked tender feelings in me. I am so addicted to the Ward siblings so much so that every book regarding them is a highly anticipated read for me. They all have so different personalities but one thing they have in common is their fierce love for each other. I didn't particularly like Lia in Faked because she was so judgy and I found her controlling but I got to see a different side to her in this book. Something more softer and understanding. She became someone admiring. I loved her relation with Jude. She was so mature, loving and responsible. She put her unborn child and it's future first. She knew what it felt like being discarded and without parents so she didn't want that for her child. I did get misty eyed at certain parts of the book because it either warmed my heart or broke it. The chemistry between Jude and Lia was ever present and they were so natural together. I did not expect that from him based on their first interaction. They both showed great character development throughout the book. They made my heart happy. I don't usually read accidental pregnancy books because I don't like when they couple hooks up right at the beginning. But I couldn't resist reading a Ward book. I am so invested in their lives. Now all I'm waiting for is my favorite Ward sister's book. I having been wanting Isabel's book right from the start and after that little snippet about her at the end, I am so intrigued and definitely already hooked!

sweet, witty, charming

Things I love. The Wards. Soccer (like a HUGE fan of the game). Accents. So when I saw Karla Sorensen was giving me all of them, I knew I was doing to devour Floored. And I was right. I loved the first meeting between Lia and Jude. It was witty, playful and laden with innuendo. And HOT!! They certainly got more than they were bargaining for from that one night. But they also got something they weren't expecting, a friend. An ally. A partner to wade the new uncharted waters with. For as much as they were both strong and brave, they both had a lot of work to do on themselves. As evidenced by the punch in the chest they both got with an unexpected and very unpleasant visit. BUT! It was the wake up call they needed to be able to move forward. That doesn't mean it was easy. Far from it. There was hard work to be done and Jude and Lia were up to the challenge. Full of family and forgiveness, Jude and Lia's 'backwards' romance was warm and charming and I adored every moment of it. It was the small moments that Karla Sorensen crafted that gave me belly flutters galore. The text messages, the history Lia experienced, the sweat and grit on the pitch, the fruit names. The nerves and anticipation of parenthood. The sacrifices they were willing to make, which weren't really sacrifices at all. And that ending...oh my misty eyes! It was so perfectly sweet and left me with the biggest grin on my face.

Lia finds romance in England

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is about the third Ward sister, Lia. It easily stands alone but this family has really grown so it might get confusing with all the different sisters and their guys if you have not read this series yet. , The original series starts with Logan Ward and he meets his hot neighbor, Paige and a romance ensues. Logan is the older brother and guardian to four of his half sisters of which two are twins. The first book in the series features Molly with Noah, her ex neighbor. Book 2 features Claire, who is Lia's twin sister with Lia's best guy friends half brother. And in this book we get Lia's adventures when she takes off for England to study under a professor at Oxford College. Her first night in town she is feeling lonely and goes to a bar and there she meets Jude. They have a one night stand and as you know she ends up pregnant. Jude and Lia are really wonderful characters. They both really like each other and are upstanding members of their family and community. As they start getting to know each other they are great dealing in the now but they struggle talking about their pasts and dealing with the details of their future. They both have very painful pasts and they both have to grow up fast and deal with their pasts before they can face their future. I LOVED Jude, he is a hot British guy but he also has some issues but I loved how he treated Lia. Lia has a wonderful family life in the now but she also has some issues from her past she needs to deal with. This story was a wonderful coming of age and growing up story. Its very intense but I absolutely adored it,

3.5-man, I wanted more-stars

3.5 stars Gosh, I am struggling with writing this review. This is a book I have been looking forward to since forever. It's Karla Sorensen. It's the Ward Family. It's England. And it's SOCCER! All my favorite things. And it started off SO well! Loved the beginning, of Lia exploring new places, but struggling - travel and moving abroad is not all sunshine and rainbows! Figuring out how to be herself without her twin, her family was great to see. Enter Jude, the soccer star she doesn't know, and some hilarious banter over which kind of football is superior. Then things go fast, one night stand, and oh no! Surprise baby. Lia and Jude are great, they communicate, they try to get to know one another. But then, I struggled. I wanted more. More of them, not just as potential future co-parents. More actual communication of them as a couple and the future. Add some hypocrisy in their biggest points of contention. Mostly I was missing the big spark. How it grew into a flame, what made them soulmates, their big love. I adooooored the family, the Wards are great as always. I loved the English settings. And I really enjoyed their individual growth. But sadly, I couldn't really feel their actual romantic connection. Maybe I was expecting too much, and surprise babies are not my favorite trope, but oh well. I'm thoroughly looking forward to Isabel's story!!!!!!

Amazing! 5+ Stars!!!

Let’s see...a Bronte loving heroine, a super hot British footballer, an age gap and a surprise pregnancy? It’s like the author knew exactly what I needed to read right now. Floored was amazing (as is this entire series) but I loved how this one played out. Two people with an immediate connection who are accidentally tied to each other forever. Both struggling with similar insecurities stemming from issues with parents. The question of whether they can make something real out of something that was supposed to be one night... What I especially liked was how Lia was so strong and did what she felt was best for her and the baby. She didn’t compromise what she knew she deserved which is so refreshing in a book. Plus she was so smart and sassy. Besides being a super hot rich footballer, I loved that Jude grew so much. That he faced his issues in order to be better for Lia and the baby. Nothing than sexier than a man who admits his faults and does his best to be better. This book is steamy, it’s sweet and the ending was just perfect. I may have teared up a few times at the end. This book and this series are just automatic immediate downloads. The Ward family is a family I love. Their struggles, triumphs and love for each is something to behold. I can’t wait for Isabel’s book next.

It's Lia's turn for her HEA

The Ward family just keeps getting better and better. I wasn't sure how Karla Sorensen continues to top the previous book, but it keeps happening. I absolutely loved Lia and Jude. They are both a little broken, but Lia is aware of it, and uses her support system to maneuver through life based on the abandonment that she feels from her mom. She and her sisters were blessed with Logan and Paige (The Marriage Effect) to raise them. They were brought up in a close and loving environment, and when Lia goes to Europe to study she feels a little lost without that support system that she has always had. There, she meets Jude, and one thing leads to another, and she ends up pregnant. What we get is a well balanced well thought out book that deals with the effects of a surprise pregnancy between two people who are strangers, and navigating getting to know each other. Which they both skirt around a lot, Jude more so that Lia. With the two of the, yes, Lia didn't share a lot of her past, but she did share a lot of her present. Jude however, didn't really share anything at all. Which was frustrating, but it brought forward the decisions of Lia to move forward and make decisions based on what is best for her and the baby. Jude takes great strides after his teammate brings forth some hard truths that Jude has been oblivious to. I loved these two and their growth together, and as always, Sorensen sets up Iz's book perfectly. I can't wait to see where she takes her.

Painful, and no soulmates connection

The other Ward sisters? Their men KNEW. They KNEW. Honestly these 2 did not admit their love for each other until 93%. I read it on kindle and it just hurt. I kept checking how far I was into the story thinking damn, they should have it together by now. 93% of the story completed before they admitted to the reader and themselves they had significant feeling for each other. She was only in England for 3 freaking months and got accidentally knocked up. The chemistry was nuts at their meeting. Then they both refuse to deal with any logistical or emotional issues. No talking about custody, where the kid will be raised, citizenship, will they date and try to make it work? NOTHING. He was damaged by his mean parents not being there for him. Ummm, ok. Successful adults like these 2 know there are conversations that have to be had. The emotional angst could have been from the real issues they faced not so they even like each other. No what will we name the baby. He did not even call or go see her off at the airport when she left. They really did not seem into each other. When she flew home I honestly wondered if she was going to hook up with a guy in the states and he was going to fall in love with her. The emotional connection was NOT there. Even a little.

I could not put it down!!! Loved it

I can’t remember the last time I stayed up all night to finish a book! It was definitely the case with Floored! Karla Sorensen completely outdid herself with this book. I thought she shouldn’t make me love someone more than Bauer, but alas, I was wrong. Jude is everything I could want and more. He’s sexy, loyal, a bit damaged, heartbroken and lonely, and a footballer!!! Football (soccer) is my favorite sport, so this book was right up my alley. A surprise pregnancy after a one night stand with a sexy stranger? Yes please!!! Lia and Jude has undeniable chemistry. The air practically sizzled around them during their first meeting. I was addicted to this book from page one. It gave me all the feels. I was so in love with Lia and Jude. After learning of their impending baby, the start a slow easy relationship beginning with friendship. While the chemistry will still obvious off the charts, the wanted to make sure they got to know each other. I loved how their relationship just progressed from there. They were made for each other, although in the long run, they had a bit of a bumpy ride. Five stars for this latest installment of the Ward sister series. Floored may have edged out Faked in terms of my favorite.

Very Good, but conflict that doesn’t completely make sense.

To compare: I absolutely loved Book 2 (Faked) about Lia’s twin sister, Claire. She and Bauer had great chemistry, and the psychology made sense. Their issues made sense. That kind of fitting of the puzzle pieces is really really really satisfying. Those characters were well-written. This story had the potential to be as good, if not better, than the previous book. I read some of the one-star reviews and they actually picked up on the same thing I did— the conflict didn’t make sense. I was incredibly confused and disappointed when Lia got upset and left for the US. The “problems” came out of nowhere and she and Jude seemed to fall apart over nothing. The naturalness of their relationship and “making their own rules” felt right and the storyline was going so well. Perhaps there just wasn’t enough of a build-up before her major tantrum that I felt blind-sided, but as it was, it felt forced and it felt like Jude got screwed over. That moment was frustrating for me, and I kept looking for the explanation that made sense of the behavior. Or pointing out her hormonal irrationality. But it never came. And the fact that Jude showed up and all was forgiven in a split second, really highlighted that their so-called problem was a little too forced. Their initial sex scene could have been steamier too, which would have helped set the tone of their chemistry even better.

Lia becoming a responsible adult

3.5-4 stars. Out of all the Ward sisters, Lia my least favorite so I dragged my feet on reading this only because I want to get to Isabel’s book. However, Lia surprised me and I wound up liking her. From previous stories, she’s a bit of a prankster and seems kind of oblivious because she came off self centered and surface level, but also in-your-face. Plus, she was the opposite of Claire and I adored Claire. However, with Lia in Europe for the semester, she’s really growing up and finding herself as well as facing her fears. Jude is at a crossroad in his life with his career, family and general direction. Lia is the perfect distraction, until it turns into more than that, involving commitment and family. What they have is easy and natural until real life interferes, showing them how much more they need to step it up with a baby on the way. Lia’s maturity truly shines and Jude realizes that some choices are hard, but he’s in charge of making the decision and the changes. I wouldn’t say this was particularly angsty since they had definite chemistry and weren’t leading each other on, but they do tackle realistic issues. Definitely looking forward to Isabel’s book next.

The Scones

The Ward sisters are a fun group. Independent and smart. Tough. Women to be admired. I love it when an American author writes books that take place in England. Being an American living in England, I love reading what experiences the author adds to the story. British scones are amazing. Clotted cream is delicious. Drinking tea? Yes please. Bangers and mash? Uh huh. I remember my first chip butty and it was a revelation. Lia's experiences of driving round the countryside and being amazed at seeing old buildings and greenery match my experiences completely. The old libraries are magical. British swearing is great! Not understanding football is understandable. More things I love about this book are the underlying themes of family and learning to live despite an uncomfortable past with family. It's hard letting go of the past. Sometimes it takes an unexpected event to catapult a person out of their standard way of thinking and living in order to truly live. This book made me ever so aware that I'm a lot like Lia and Jude in that my past has made me a bit hesitant to live in the present...books are always teaching me. This was a great book, especially if you like British footballers and English literature. And scones. Especially scones. Now I wait for Iz's book...

I shipped Jude and Lia HARD!

Another great story from Karla Sorensen! Seriously, when is it not? Floored is another Ward Sisters book, and this time we have Lia, the wild twin, overseas in London studying for a semester. Since she's American, she has no clue that the hot, tatted guy she's flirting with is one of Britain's great football stars. Both Lia and Jude are feeling a little down on their luck when they meet in the pub that afternoon. One thing leads to another... leads to another... and leads to a surprise baby. Oops! The majority of this story is how Jude and Lia navigate becoming parents-to-be amid their cultural differences, geographical differences, and boatload of emotional baggage that they are each carting around. It's done brilliantly, and I was shipping this couple so hard. I love, love, love the soccer vs. football conversations between Jude and Lia. Especially since Lia's brother Logan was one of America's great football stars. We get lots of crazy from the Ward family in Floored, and I loved catching up with the crazy clan. Bring on Isabel's story! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

sweet, charming and emotional

Floored is the third book in the Ward sister’s series. It’s still a complete standalone. Although, I would definitely recommend reading the other two. They were both wonderful. I honestly don’t know how Karla Sorensen does it! Each book in the series keeps getting better than the last. Lia moves to England for a semester for a study abroad program. Jude is a famous, aging English football/soccer player. They meet at a bar and get into an argument about sports. They have incredible chemistry right off the bat, which results in a one-night stand, that shockingly ends in a surprise pregnancy. They really don’t know each other at all so most of the book concentrates on that. Both characters were easy to love and relate to. Jude has a lot of family drama to be unpacked. Lia has her own personal issues, not family related. We do get to catch up with the Ward family too. The storyline kept my attention throughout and the pace was perfect. Floored was sweet, charming and emotional and I loved every second of it! *I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hot, angsty and emotional! Crazy good!

OMG – this story was crazy good! ”Whatever hope I’ve found for the rest of my life started with you.” Lia Ward is in England for a semester studying under her idol at Oxford. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime but she’s lonely and little bit homesick. A chance meeting with the gorgeous Jude McAllister leads to an unforgettable night with him – unforgettable in more ways than one! ”Maybe we had a thousand unanswered questions between us, but whether we wanted each other was not one of them.” This story was hot, angsty and emotional. Lia and Jude clicked so well together from the get-go. They both had their own issues to deal with but I loved how their relationship grew. They found themselves in an unexpected situation and, although they had a lot of things going against them, I loved how much Jude supported her and how much they wanted to make things work, even though things weren’t always smooth sailing. Lia is really trying to find herself and how she deals with what crops up is admirable. This story really gripped my heart with some really swoony moments, and I absolutely adored it!

My favorite Sorensen Hero EVER!

Floored will leave you breathless. Sorensen has written one of the swooniest Hero’s. A surprise pregnancy that neither character was ready for. Lia Ward sister of the famous Logan Ward, knows what it’s like to be around talented athletes. So when a surprise happens she wonders how things will go. Jude McAllister footballer, is one of those characters that you can’t help but fall for. They way he was with Lia at times made my heart turn to mush. They way they were together was sweet, watching them fall was so beautiful. The sexual tension between these two is clean off the charts !! Wowza!! A story that checks off all my boxes in a romance. I’d honestly give this book another star or two if I could. Karla Sorensen continues to give us romance in the best way. Hero’s we swoon for....and kick butt heroines we root for the entire book. Lia and Jude are two of my new favorite characters!! I’ve loved this series from the start and they just keep getting better and better. I can’t wait for the next one. Highly recommended!

Loving sometimes mean sacrifices

Lia came to London to attend a class towards her master degree. Being lonely after two weeks, she met Jude at a pub that just happened to been owned by his brother, and both wanted a distraction from their life, A one night affair happen. They went on about their lives until Jude called a couple of weeks later asking Lia for a date. After a couple of weeks of dating, Lia found out she was pregnant. Since there was no sex involved while they were dating, the pregnancy happen the first night they met. With Jude concerned about his soccer, he did not respond well about the pregnancy. With Lia coming from a very strong family, she knew she would get through her situation. After talking about their pregnancy they decided to make their own rules as they went along. During this time they get to know each other. When Lia went back home, Jude called her every week. Both wanting to be together, but would not talk about their feelings. Jude made the decision once his soccer season was over, he would move to the states to be with her and the baby.

I absolutely loved this one!

NO SPOILERS! Floored was a sexy, emotional, funny, swoon-worthy, and entertaining standalone sports romance in the Ward Sisters series from Karla Sorensen, and I absolutely loved Jude and Lia’s MUST READ story! The storyline and characters were phenomenal, and I adored them with all my heart. The author did an outstanding job with the plot and I was entertained from beginning to end. The characters were amazing and I loved them to pieces. Jude and Lia’s journey has definitely been one of my favorite love stories from Karla Sorensen to date. I loved nearly every moment and was super ecstatic with the conclusion. It made me so happy that I could’ve burst with joy. Floored was an absolute MUST READ in the Ward Sisters series, and by far one of my favorite romances from Karla Sorensen! Jude and Lia’s sexy, funny, emotional, swoon-worthy, and entertaining sports romance/accidental pregnancy story was truly fantastic, and I would highly recommend it and the rest of this series!

Absolutely Adored Lia and Jude!

Floored brings us Lia's story. She's off to London to study at Oxford under her mentor and while out sightseeing one day, finds herself in a pub sitting next to the hottest Brit she's ever laid eyes on. Her sister nudges her to let loose and just live while she's there. Her one-night stand leads to an unexpected pregnancy. The chemistry between Lia and Jude is off the charts and Jude likes that Lia isn't phased by his status as a professional footballer. Lia feels she can be free with Jude. But they're both keeping family secrets hidden that may just break them apart and living on two different continents forever. If you've read Karla Sorensen's Washington Wolves Series and/or the first two books in the Ward Family Series you will enjoy getting more of Logan in this book. Sorensen revisits the the Ward clan and the updates on the family are everything you need to melt your heart and fall in love with them all over again. Logan has the biggest soft spot when it comes to his girls.

i devoured this book!

i’ll literally never get over the ward family, so here’s my official request for Karla to keep writing about them through their children forever & ever, amen. Jude & lia are my new favorites in this secondary ward world (like, nothing will ever beat paige & logan, you know?) & this book REALLLLLLLY knocked it out of the park. i cried. i laughed. i wanted to have a baby!! haha what the heck are you doing to me, Karla. This ones a surprise pregnancy (which i usually am not a fan of) but it’s done so well & the struggle between the couple & their impending parenthood never felt forced or totally not realistic. I loved seeing the ward family throughout the entirety of it, but truthfully it was Lia & Jude’s relationship that makes this whole book. if you love sport romances, family’s who are big & loud, emotions that are heavy but important, & football players (of both kind) than pick this one up! Thanks to Karla for the arc. all thoughts are my own!

Lia and Jude!

Lia was excited to be able to spend a semester abroad at Oxford. She is very close to her siblings so even though she knew she would miss them the depth of her feelings surprised even her. This is how she finds herself enjoying a night out when she meets Jude. Even though they just met the sparks fly and they spend a steamy evening together next expecting to see each other again. As close as Lia is to her family Jude isn’t. He is a star football player who is coming to the realization that his career may be coming to a close and he is uncertain about what the future holds. When he finds out that he is going to be a father because of their night together he is determined to ensure that their child will have the happy childhood that he didn’t. Between her family in the US and his career in England they must decide what the future holds not only for them but for the child they are expecting as well. Humorous interactions, hot chemistry, two characters that are shaped by their pasts and a great cast of secondary characters make this a story you don’t want to miss.

I just can't get enough of the Ward sisters!

These Ward sisters........I just love them so much. I want to pick a favorite, but I can't because they are all so bloody fantastic! And in Floored, Lia took center stage and holy crap did I fall in love with her (like Molly and Claire before her)..... and Jude. Electric chemistry between these two right from the moment they met at that bar, that ends up leading to one hot as hell night together. But what neither of them expected was for Lia to end up pregnant. Yes, this was a surprise pregnancy story......but it was so much more than that. To me, the pregnancy was secondary to the growth and development of both Jude and Lia together.....and separate. The people who met at the bar weren't the same people they were at the end, and I loved the journey Karla took us on with these characters. It was just a truly beautiful, sweet, swoony, sexy story of full of love and family. I can't wait until Isabel's story when we get to be with the Ward's again.

Couldn’t put it down

I was hooked from the very first sentence. Karla Sorensen has a knack for writing entertaining scenes with fabulous banter into her books even during some serious situations. One night turned into so much more for Lia and Jude but the evolution of their relationship and themselves as people made me not want to put the book down and kept me rooting for them to work things out. I felt all the emotions Lia and Jude felt from the happy times to when they had to make the hard choices that hurt. Jude was fun and full of hot distractions then he grew into a man who made me swoon from how thoughtful he was and how he pushed himself to be a better person for his child. The Wards step up for Lia and how supportive they are just make you love them even more than you did before and in every choice Lia makes you can see her upbringing and siblings in her every choice. I really think these two are my favorite couple from these sisters so far.

Sweet, subtle, the Ward sisters stories continue.

The Ward twins are some of my favorite siblings. I loved Claire and Bauer in Faked and was just so excited for Lia’s story. Karla Sorensen makes each one of the women smart, sassy and yet all their own. Even when it comes to identical twins. We find Lia is so driven by her studies that it takes her to England. Homesick, she spends a lonely night in a town and a random bed with an older guy (less than ten years, so it isn’t creepy). Now this is where I get all in my feels about something. I kind of totally hate accidental babies that are sort of ambiguously conceived. There, I said it. I’m not a fan. That being said, the chemistry and the growing pains of this couple falling in love are so good that I almost forgot that there was a baby involved. And you get a delightful dose of Paige and the sisters. And really, that’s the beauty of this series and family.

Always....

I was waiting with such anticipation for Lia & Jude’s story after getting the preview at the end of “Faked” (2nd book in the Ward Sisters’ Series). Lia was known as the spunky twin growing up & considered the more ‘independent’ one. I related so much to Lia in this book because when you’re used to be the “strong, fun’ person it’s hard to really open up to people when you feel down or confused because you’re used to being that advocate for others. When Lia finds herself getting homesick thousands of miles from her family some advice from her sister leads her to the start of more than what she could have ever bargained for in Jude McAllister. Being able to see the type of man who would catch her attention i some of the main reason I anticipated this book so much. Karla did a great job of creating a male lead who was strong yet caring/sensitive. In some books finding this balance is hard because when trying to get the reader to really picture a man with those qualities can come across as hokey or slightly annoying. But that is definitely not the case with Jude McAllister. This one word toward the end of the book sums up everything I love about Karla’s writing...”ALWAYS”. The main characters will always be endearing, you’ll always get invested in where their relationship is heading, she always gives you a glimpse into the lives of your other favorites from previous books in the series....and most importantly you will always want to re-read.

Not all surprises are bad...

Sometimes a surprise is just what you need to get your life to where you need it to be... Lia & Jude share passion and chemistry, and they definitely fit together in the bedroom. They were looking for the right now and not expecting forever. But sometimes your plans are changed by the path you take and a surprise pregnancy bring these two to a new reality. There is always a fun twist when there is a surprise pregnancy. And this brings out a new aspect to the characters. They both have to find it in themselves to deside how they will handle things. And their stories, struggles, and determination is told beautifully. While enjoying the interactions, you will also fall in love with the inner growth that each character experiences. I know I did and I cant' wait to see what else the author has up her sleeve for the rest of the family!

Love this book!

Lia and Jude... I love them. I love the Ward's and I love Karla Sorensen and the books she gives us. Lia is on exhange by herself at Oxford. She is struggling with being alone and winds up at a pub where she meets Jude. How they meet is fun and real. They both give into each other and have a one-night stand. She quietly leaves in the morning, leaves her number and weeks late he does reach out to her. And then she finds out he is pregnant. As they adjust to a baby coming- watching their story develop and grow together! They both have family struggles and dealing with real life is hard. This book is genuine and beautiful. I cried for them as they figured out life for themselves and each other. The supporting characters of the Ward sisters, Jude's brother, and Logan and Paige are amazing! Read all of Karla Sorensen's books! They are awesome!

Love this series!

Ms. Sorensen gets better and better with each book. This series with the Ward sisters has been amazing, but Lia and Jude's story brought so many emotions. Lia meets Jude while she is in London and has no idea who he is. There is a connection between these two that is so much more than a one-night stand. Their lives take a drastic turn, but they roll with it and find so much happiness in each other. They discover so much in a short amount of time, but the biggest divide they cross is you need to love yourself and where you have come from in order to find happiness with someone else. Jude really struggles with past issues and it take a big wake up call for him to make some changes. This book had my emotions everywhere. I love this series, but this has been my favorite so far. Jude and Lia were amazing and Ms. Sorensen knocked it out of the park!

#LIAROCKED

I couldn't get enough of Lia in Floored. The moment she met Jude (footballer), they got into an argument about which football was better, the UK or US, and I promise you that this is one argument I would have had myself. Lia has been lonely since she's across the ocean to study for her masters, and none of her family is there with her. So, they hookup, but there's a complication, she ends up with a positive on the stick which starts these two on a new journey. First of all, I really loved how Karla Sorensen penned this story with every step of pregnancy which I don't find much in books these days. However, while I couldn't stop turning the pages, Jude pulled some stuff that I didn't really appreciate which is why it wasn't quite the perfect read. Please remember this is only my opinion, and I want y'all to decide for yourselves! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Floored

This series just gets better and better with each book! Claire and Jude's one night together led to a flirtation, but it also resulted in something more than either of them was expecting. The story is about the pregnancy and their kind of backwards path of getting pregnant and then getting to know each other. However, it's also about their personal growth and struggles, too. I really liked getting to know both Claire and Jude and getting inside their heads with the dual POV. There was enough drama and interesting moments to keep the story moving forward, but none of it felt unnecessary or overly inflated. Over the past year Karla Sorensen has become one of my favorite authors and her storytelling and writing ability shine here. I can't recommend this book and series enough!

Spectacular characters

I have enjoyed this series (including all of the “effect” series that set up the Ward sisters series) and they continue to get better. While the storyline could have included more drama (how upset should Lia have been that he wasn’t telling anyone about her) the way it was written connected the chemistry of the two lead characters. You felt their connection, but also that there were many missing pieces to their relationship if they were going to make it work. I’m excited for Isabel’s story, but also bummed that she’s the last Ward sister! The author has done a spectacular job of creating the Ward family. Logan’s character is so supportive and loving while still being a protective and watchful big brother. The reader feels like they are a part of the wolf pack and gets a fantastic escape in these books.

Another amazing story by Karla!!!

Floored by Karla Sorensen is the third book in the Ward series and OMG if you love the previous 2 books you will LOVEE this one too, because is soo good!! Once you start reading it you won't stop until you know what happens. This is the story of Lia who is spending a semester in the UK! and in those first days there when she feels lonely she meets an incredible handsome british guy who is a football player very well known there! After they meet that night their lifes will changes forever, but in the best way! i dont want to talk a lot about the book, but if you love sport romance, surprised pregnancy this is the book for you! Karla writes amazing stories, and OMG I'm so excited to read the last book in this series!! Isabel's story looks so promising and good!!

What a wonderful book! Bravo Karla!

This book has two things I love, The Ward family and accidental pregnancy!! "Floored" is the third book in Ward family series but can be read as a standalone just fine. Lia is in the UK for a semester studying for her masters program. She encounters Jude in a bar in London and they hit off with banter about football. There was obvious chemistry between the two. I loved the easy banter. Lia and Jude both have an unmatched dedication to achieving their goals. Jude was sweet and such a good guy with issues he need to work out. I loved how they fell into a comfortable domestic rhythm. This book that had me hooked and excited to turn the page. The main characters were great, the story line flowed so well, and I loved seeing the Ward family. This is another must read by Karla. Dive in, you will not be sorry!

Soccer Romance

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own. Floored by Karla Sorensen is book three in a standalone series. I had not read the first two books and thoroughly enjoyed this without knowing any back story. I have since gone and read the other two books. Lia is studying abroad in England for her Master's degree as related to the Bronte sisters. A chance meeting in a rain storm at a pub with Jude and sparks are flying. This is a sports, accidental pregnancy romance. There is family drama and fun on both sides of the romance. Jude and Lia take the reader through all of the emotions. I liked this book so much I went and found the other books in the series. I can't wait to read more.

Swoon-worthy

Spending the semester across the pond and away from her family, Lia Ward is finding out that she home sick and lonely. After a suggestion from her twin sister, Lia finds herself in a local pub arguing the pros and cons of American Football and English Football. Sparks fly as the connection she feels with Jude McAllister becomes so much more than just friendly banter. But will one night with a perfect stranger get her out of her unhappiness? What happens when Jude is so much more than she bargained for and the one night of passion leaves them both connected forever? I absolutely love this series. The true and honest family dynamics as well as the heartwarming tale of instant true love was a joy to read.

LOVED this book

I absolutely loved everything about this book. Lia & Jude were great together. I loved that even though their one night stand lead to so much more then either of them expected, the author built their relationship into something amazing. There wasn't anything forced about this couple & their story. They dealt with the cards that were handed to them in a mature way. I loved the dynamics of Lia's family. I can't wait to go back and read their stories. I thought it was great that Jude's family was completely opposite. It showed that not all families are one way or the other, and the people we are is a reflection of how we were raised. I will highly recommend this book.

Accidental pregnancy plus HOT Brit footballer? Um, yes please!

I loved every second of this gorgeous book. It's the third in the Ward family series, and I've read them all and this is by far the best so far. First off, Lia is amazing. She takes no c r a p from anyone, and I loved that about her. She's confident and hilarious and yes, has her baggage, but deals with her issues in such a mature way. I loved that. Then there's Jude, who is my very first book boyfriend of 2021. He's charming and confident and just good. He also has his own issues and I was so happy to see him deal with them in such a healthy way, it was refreshing! Beautifully written, a gorgeous love story. I balled my eyes out (happy tears) at the end, just a true gem of a story!

All the stars

I am so obsessed with this series and Lia’s book made that obsession grow. Lia and Jude are both a little lost and trying to figure out what they want to do next. When they meet at the pub, they figure they can use each other as the perfect distraction. They didn’t realize that they would need each other more than ever now. I loved the character growth in this story. They changed so much for the better and events happened that needed to happen in order for that growth to happen. I loved how it all played out, and really enjoyed getting glimpse of past characters. Now I just need to get the next book in the series. These sisters are amazing.

Whatever hope I've found for the rest of my life started with you

This is a great series, and I like how it connects with the Washington Wolves stories. I love a good carryover. This book reminded me a bit of an Amy Daws book, since it was about a British footballer. But it was an excellent story in its own right. The best thing about a surprise pregnancy story is that it doesn’t end with a pregnancy. I’m so tired of reading books that end in an engagement and pregnancy! The Ward family is a fantastic bunch, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series, as well as reading book 1, which I somehow missed! Thanks to the author for the opportunity to read and review this book!

The Best Laid Plans

We can plan and plan and plan and sometimes life takes a hard left turn. In this case, the plans took a left turn across the pond in old England. One pub, one hot footballer and one semester abroad can lead to a very different road. Floored by Karla Sorensen is perfectly written and excuted and my heart was about ripped out of my chest with the dilemma of how to move forward....as one family or as co-parents. Lia and Jude are strong, mature, normal characters with a cool meet up that takes them to emotional highs and lows during their journey. Loved this book. (No freaked out, mentally weak, catty, abused, angsty, immature humans in this story thank God.)

Such a fun and delightful read!

4.5-stars! Whenever a Karla Sorensen book hits my kindle, I am beside myself. I just love her books. Sweet and delightful reads, that is exactly what we got with Floored, the next book in the Ward Family series. An accidental pregnancy romance and I loved it! Lia Ward is studying abroad and feeling lonely when she meets Jude. What was supposed to be a steamy one-night stand for both of them is now life-changing. I just loved Lia and Jude. Lia is smart and determined. Jude is caring and easy-going. Though neither expected the pregnancy, I loved their interactions and watching them fall. Such a delightful read! Happy reading!

Riveting tale!!

Lia is a feisty American who is in the UK for a semester studying for her master’s degree, and Jude is a sweet and fun-loving superstar British football player. These two spend the night together which leads to a surprise pregnancy, and even though they have challenges to overcome along the way, they are a team and will deal with things together. This is a beautifully written story which is emotional, and with heartbreak, angst, sizzling chemistry, great family dynamics, and with relatable characters, which all lead to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.

Adored this story from start to finish!

OMG the feels in this book! I absolutely adored every moment of it. There was such a gambit of emotions that ran through you as Jude and Lia navigate what started out as a one night stand to so much more! There is just a seamlessness between these two until things implode in the ways of family. My heart ached for Jude. I felt Lia’s pain as she tried to figure out what she should do next. But one thing is for certain, these two were meant to be together. You could feel that connection bleed off the pages as you read through this story. I really enjoyed this addition to the Ward sisters and I am so looking forward to the next!

Jude and Lia's story was equal parts sweet and 🔥🔥

Lia's decides to go overseas to work on her master's thesis and, feeling alone and missing her family, she hooks up with the handsome Jude after meeting him at a pub. Their one night together has consequences in the form of two little pink lines. Despite having just met, the spark is there and the two decide to make a real go for their little surprise. But relationships are hard and sometimes heavy work needs to be done -even if it hurts. This story was really so go. This was my first book by Karla Sorensen and boy, what a wonderful surprise. Great story and it had a wonderful depth that I did not expect. Tears and laughs! Will definitely be reading more by this author!

Fantastic

I'm not ready to say goodbye to this book yet. I got totally wrapped up in the chemistry of the two characters and their struggles in navigating a 2 continent love story and pregnancy. It was hard to put down from start to finish as are all the books in this particular series. If there was something that gave me pause it was that I could predict that their conflict would come from where it did and without giving away too many spoilers, it wasn't the long distance. But perhaps that was what the writer intended. I loved this book, got completely wrapped up in it, but why am I always picturing the twins as blondes?

Another Hit

I absolutely love the Ward family and their extended family as well so it's always exciting to get another installment in their lives. This book was packed with emotion and I read it from cover to cover without stopping. I am so hoping to read more about this couple in future installments. I was thrilled with the 2nd epilogue (no spoilers) and am looking forward to that book as well. The only thing that could possible make these books any better is if they adopted 3 or 4 more sisters so that we can continue to get glimpses into the lives of this family. Definitely worth reading and I highly recommend.

Lia and Jude

This was another solid offering from this author! Lia is studying abroad and she is missing home and her family. On the advice of her twin sister, she decides to let loose a little and goes to a local pub. She meets Jude there and has a great time with him. Little does she know that he is a famous foot baller. Their one night together has consequences for both of their lives. Can they make a life together or is it over before it even gets started? What a great read! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️

My review for FLOORED

I absolutely fell in love with Lia and Jude. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading it but the more I read I got transfixed with the chemistry they have together. There sparks were from there first words to each other and never fizzled. They were so supporting of each other even while getting to know each other better with there family issues and doubts. I was extremely happy when he came to America to claim Lia and the baby. They got there happily ever after that they both deserved 100%. Fantastic job with there story. I am so looking forward to reading Isabel’s story next.

The excitement shines through in this one!

This book was chock-full of emotion...for so many different reasons! And, the excitement of the game took my breath away. Reading Lia and Jude's story as it unfolded was an absolute delight. The differences in families was so well executed...not everyone has a storybook family. I really loved the family aspects in this book, both the good and the bad. I think it makes the book very relatable. Some surprises in this book, keeps the pages turning. Emotional and sexy, you will root for these characters to get it together!

"The back and forth of the game is what makes it so beautiful,"

Floored was such a sweet and emotional read. I always think I’ll get through a story about a Ward sister without crying, and it hasn’t happened quite yet. I just love that family. Lia and Jude do their love story all backwards, but somehow it works for them. Of course there’s some angst, there usually is with unexpected pregnancy trope, but honestly the way these two just go together was perfect to me. I did get a little sad at how some things in their relationship worked or didn’t, but overall I loved this couple and their story!

Soccer god VS Football princess

The title says it all...One sassy American football princess verses One hot English soccer god. Will their passion cause sparks or an inferno? Lia takes a semester across the pond while finishing her master’s degree. Jude is trying to hold his career and soccer (aka football) team together. A chance meeting in a bar and an one night stand later, a beautiful but rocky relationship is formed. Will the be able to survive an unexpected pregnancy and the possibility of the Atlantic Ocean separating them?

Good Read

Lia met Jude during her study aboard program in England. They met at a bar at a time they were both feeling vulnerable which led to a memorable hook up which led to a unexpected pregnancy. Jude is a popular soccer player ( or footballer a term not used in the USA) and Lia bother is a successful football player in the states. Their contrasts and knowledge about the two sports is so endearing which made their getting to know each other a good story, Love the supportive family Lia has and now I am curious about their stories.

A fantastic surprise baby, age gap, sports romance

The Ward family is back with Lia. The wild outgoing twin, Lia Ward is in Britain and meets a guy, an older, very attractive guy. They have a one night stand that results in the lasting kind of consequence. Both Lia and Jude, a professional footballer, have enough emotional baggage of their own and neither are ready to be a parent. This book was incredible, so, so, good. I loved every minute, and I have loved every single one of the award family books but this one is probably my favorite.

Perfect in every way.

An incredible romance with a twist of humor. There is nothing more exciting then getting lost in one of Karla's books and this book didn't disappoint me.The characters personalities have great depth and I love how realistic they feel. The plot is planned out perfectly and I loved the pregnancy twist. It was so refreshing to see how the characters grew and how their relationship unfolded over time. The secondary characters played a great part in this book as well. Everyone should add this to their TBR list its so worth it.

Love!

Cue Kim Kardashian ugly crying because I loved this book. Lia and Jude's book has to be my favorite out of the sisters so far. Once the book landed in my kindle, I had such a hard time turning away from it. It was a damn near perfect book and this was pregnancy trope done right. The development of their relationship was realistic and at times heart attack inducing. Because character growth be damned! We just want them happy and together. Not only was their relationship developed well but the characters also grew into their own by the final page. Thought I adored Noah until Bauer came around but Jude entered the scene and it was a wrap. He's taken over as the best male character after Logan Ward. We also get to see cameos of the Ward family doing what they do best.

A sports romance must read!

Lia’s story was so worth the wait. A well written storyline and great characters made this newest addition to a wonderful series a must read. Jude’s character was so swoon worthy and their chemistry together was off the hook hot. I loved the development and simplicity of their journey, add in the heartfelt moments and her family dynamic it was a fun read from start to finish. Can’t wait for the next story in this addicting series.

Who does want a holiday romance to become love especially if the guy has a sexy accent

I always love a baby in the mix of a romance novel . I felt like it was a little long and tedious when Lia went back to Seattle the distance usually breaks a relationship up especially if there only talking once a week. I didn't real understand what Lia's issues where with Jude and his dysfunctional family .I loved the epilogue and can't wait to read about the other sister who seems like she's going to fall for a single dad who's widowed .

Better than expected!

Normally I won't bother with a book that involves pregnancy as that's just not my romance jam but I've adored the Ward family series so I had to try it. The sample lured me in and I absolutely adored this book. I devoured it in a few nights, loved every character. Lia and Jude were perfectly imperfect and while the story was sweet I did not find it sappy or Hallmark-esque, which was a relief. Cannot wait for Isabelle's story!

4.5*

This series keeps getting better. The stories are so involved, with lots of moments, not just 2-3 & bam! They’re in love. A refreshing look at the results of dysfunctional family dynamics. Both of their behaviors needed work before their relationship could truly work, lovely to watch them fall in love. And when Lia announced the baby’s name - I cried for him! So many feels. Such a good story!

Hey, Jude!

This book is the epitome of why I read romance. I absolutely could not put this book down. It was absolutely perfection. Karla Sorenson does character growth like no other. Both Lia and Jude became the best versions of themselves through this story. I just wanted to reach through those pages and hug Jude. The first airport scene had me absolutely sobbing, it was full of so much emotion.

EXCEPTIONAL AND CAPTIVATING STORY I LOVED ❣❣❣❣❣

FLOORED by KARLA SORENSEN was my first and I truly loved the whole DANG book! There was so much unknowing information that I learned and to me that is a plus also made me laugh out loud often during Lia and Jude 's conversation. This is truly a great read and can't wait for Isabel's story to come out. Thank you for your gift of words that created a great visual while reading. 💕

LOVED IT!!!

Leia & Jude...OMG! AMAZING!!! I seriously loved this couple so much! When we first met Jude at the end of Faked I just knew he was going to that Brit. The banter was OFF THE CHARTS!!! HANDS DOWN one of the best books I have read. Jude’s family literally broke my heart! I just wanted to hug the poor lad. The ending was it weekly PERFECT!! I CAN NOT WAIT for Isabel’s story!

British Baller Baby Daddy

This was an easy, enjoyable read. Who wouldn't want sexy time with a breathtakingly handsome British footballer. Especially when even his accent is orgasm inducing. Too bad she got a little mixed up with her birth-control regimen and...surprise! They have hurdles to jump like being from across the pond, for one. But they decide to adult and take on the responsibility of their gift.

Beautiful story

4.5 I absolutely loved this book! I’m a sucker for surprise baby romances! This book is definitely a top read for me in that trope! The maturity of the two characters as they navigate their reality was refreshing to see! They both have demons to battle and it was so beautiful to see them grow in their personal lives as well as their relationship!

Great read!!

My second Karla novel and guys I LOVE HER SPORTS romances!!!!!! Bonus it’s available on KU!! I love the flow of the book. The chemistry between Jude and Lia, was off the charts. I also love that it was an accidental pregnancy. I’m a sucker for a baby, especially one that wasn’t planned. All in all I loved the book. Really cannot wait for the next one!

Powerful and Moving Storyline

This was an exceptional storyline with lots of love, romance and great storytelling. I enjoyed all of the characters in this story and the romance between the main characters was exceptionally well-written. This series just keeps getting better with each book. This was definitely a five-star book and I can't wait to read more from this series and author.

You don’t want to miss it

I don’t often read a book in a day, Floored was a great exception. I started it in the morning and got about a half an hour in- and it had me thinking about it ALL DAY LONG! So come nighttime, guess what? Yep, I finished that baby into the wee hours of the morning. It’s so, so good guys - you don’t want to miss it. Missy Ann Bookworms Anonymous

Absolutely loved

I totally loved every aspect of this book. Lia and Jude’s story the perfect kismet and imperfect storyline. It was beautiful...their story colliding past , sports, family and love. These award sisters have been nothing short of a joy to watch grow and meet their matches. Isabel being the last story is no surprise and I am so looking forward to it.

Loved it!

I’m a big fan of Karla’s books, and this Ward sister series is great! This is Lia & Jude’s Story....a one-night stand, accidental pregnancy that turns into two people falling in love & working for their happily ever after. Loved both these characters...and catching up with the rest of the Ward family. Get the book - I think you’ll love it too!

1 star

First time reading from this author. I must say I did like it right off the bat. What made me dislike it and had me utterly confused was her running off the way she did. She acted like a serious brat. So his parents were rude to her and she didn't know anything about him. But that's LITERALLY what they decided to do, was get to know more about one another. And when she sees one thing about him, which sucked aka his parents, she bolts. Idk that just killed it for me.

Couldn't put it down.

I really love this series. Lia's story starts off with a bang and I mean opportunity of a life time bang, am I right?! I can just hear Jude talk and melt. Their story is sorta of opposites magnetically attract and it really works. There was a point where I wished there was a little more fight but I loved how it wrapped back together at the end.

2.5 stars. h was a serious brat.

Lia was a really unlikable character. She ran out on him because his parents treated him like garbage? She was selfish and immature.

Perfect

I’m a harsh critic. I don’t think I’ve ever given a book five stars. I’ve read plenty of fours, but fives? I don’t think I’ve ever met one, until now. I think what’s amazing about this one is the superb character growth. No easy tropes here, I.e. evil exes or the like. The emotional baggage felt real. Never contrived or forced. And more importantly, the author gave themselves room to grow the story. By the time I reached the end, I was sorry to say goodbye. I’ve read a couple of K.S.’s books and believe she’s growing into an incredible writer. I’m so looking forward to seeing what’s next.

Five huge stars

Five huge stars! This is the authors best work yet! Jude and Lia’s story was a two sitting read for me and only because I had to sleep lol Packed full of emotion, I teared up and cried a bunch, always in the best way. Get ready to fall in love with Jude and only love the Wards even more! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great read!

I generally only review a book if I really love it, or really hate it. In this case it is definitely love! I've enjoyed the entire series so far, and this one is probably my favorite. It is great when you see two people with a lot of baggage finally figure it all out. Can't wait for the next one in 2021!!

I don’t normally read Romance novels, now I can’t stop!

I have enjoyed every book of Sorensen’s that I’ve read (4, so far). The story lines draw you in, with beautiful and difficult family dynamics and real life issues. The romance is steamy but it’s always in the context of an actual plot that you want to delve into. I can’t recommend her books enough!! You won’t be able to put them down!!

4 stats

Solid book with likeable characters. I related to Lia since she was pursuing a degree in English Literature. I would have sold my soul to go to oxford when i was getting the same degree. Cute banter and chemistry. The steam was mellow this story. Anotner great addition to this series.

This book!!

Wow! This book was just everything! The slow burn I’ve come to love in books by this author. I was pulled into this story from the first page. I felt like I was a Ward sister, living in England, experiencing things right along Lia. This might just be my favorite book yet from is series!

5☆☆☆☆☆

This was my first book by Karla Sorensen and now I'll be reading about all of the other Ward family members! Even though this was part of a series, I didn't feel lost by reading out of order as the side characters still had a good introduction with a quick recap of their back stories.

I loved this book so much!

This book got me. If there is one thing I understand, it's becoming a mother after being abandoned by a parental unit... And I felt Lia to my core! I love books with familial connection (even unexpected ones), sweet romance, a story that can make me feel things! This definitely did it.

Beautiful story

Beautifully written book with funny wittty sexy characters no ow/om drama which I loved the chemistry between Lia and Jude a few ups and downs but overall sweet hea with a wonderful epilogue very good side characters lias family amazing definitely going to read the next book

Wow

This is probably my favorite of this series (so far, at least). Lia and Jude’s relationship was amazing. I loved the growth between the characters as they found out how to manage their feelings. This was a very gentle, yet endearing love story.

Loved this book!

I am usually not one to go for accidental pregnancy books but I have loved the other Ward family books and had to read this one too. This book was so AMAZING!!!! I absolutely loved the story and the struggles that Lia and Jude went through! I cannot wait for the next book!

Enjoyed this book!

Lia, the third Ward sister, had a fun and unusual storyline as it was mostly set in Britain. Jude was a likeable character with a difficult upbringing, which he took some time to come to terms with. Easy and enjoyable story.

Fabulous!!!

I just loved Lia and Jude’s story. It was well written and filled with so much love and patience to make it through a unknown future. The Ward sisters are amazing, along with Logan and Paige. I can’t wait for Isabel’s story.

Loved

I can’t get enough of the Ward family. I love this series because of the strong writing and the family that makes you want to be a part of it. Lia and Jude’s story was a great break from the craziness of the world.

OMG! Loved this story!

This whole series is amazing! Love everything about the Wards and their hobbled together family. Thank you to the author for letting us step inside the room during the birth! Can’t wait for Izzy’s love story!

I want a Jude!

Another 5 Star read from Karla! I loved every single thing about this accidental pregnancy! Especially with the Ward family! I’ve been ready for Lia’s story and hunky Jude was the perfect guy for her. This won’t disappoint!

So good

Wow. Just loved all the ups and downs in this book. Such an interesting storyline that had me hooked from the start. Great family interaction and updates on previous books that enhance the story even more.

Another great one

Karla continued the tales of the Ward sisters with another story with all the feels. I love how each of the sisters is with a different athlete....much to Logan's chagrin. He is the best big brother ever!!

Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow...

WOW! I absolutely adore this series of books! But this one right here is my absolute favorite by far (and so far)! Holy moly! I couldn’t put it down! I am so ready for Isabel’s story now! Eek!!!!!

Good read

I enjoyed this book. After reading about Claire and Molly, I was interested in getting to know Lia. Its such a sweet book with damaged characters and I loved their story. Lia and Jude are perfect.

Who doesn’t love the Wards!

I adored this book, and as usual I am not very eloquent in my review, but I have just thoroughly enjoyed every single one of these boos about the Ward sisters. Bravo!! A must read in this series!

5 star enjoyable book!

I really enjoyed Floored, fabulous well crafted real story. I loved the interaction of all the characters and the hard look at relationships and how they affect us. Great Happy ever after.

Perfect

This was a beautifully written, emotional, steamy, funny, surprise pregnancy story. I love the Ward family and this did not disappoint. I think it might be my favorite of this spin off series!

Best one of the series

I have enjoyed this series so much but this one was something else. It wasn’t just a romantic love story. It was a sibling love story, a non traditional family love story, a healing/love yourself story. It was so touching and interesting. I read it it in one day. I hated to put it down.

Yes!! Another hit!

I adore this series, but something about this book really had me in my feelings. Finally getting a good look into Lia’s mind, and watching her relationship blossom just did it for me. I’m emotionally connected to people who don’t even exist.

This book Floored me!!!

I can never get enough of the Ward family! This book has ea bit of everything from one studious twin, surprise pregnancy, handsome soccer hunks and a magnetic attraction that has you just begging for more!!! Definitely a one click!!

Absolutely amazing!

This book had so much depth and covered so many hard topics and made you realize so much about life. I'm just a little dissapointed I have to wait till June for the next book.

Love this story

Lia and Jude are an awesome couple who give hope to those going through rough times. I love reading how they went through their own paths to find their way to each other.

Jude!

This was an excellent sport romance with the accidental baby thrown in too. Jude and Lia meet by chance in a pub and things move quickly after that. Good read!

Awesome

I hadn’t read this author before; she is great! Get ready to fall in love with the characters of this family who take you on an interesting journey.

3.5 Stars

I enjoyed the first part of the book but then the remaining portion wasn’t what I hoped it would be. I liked Jude though and so I finished the book.

So good

There two were so good from the start. I so love how they grew together but also how they had two grow apart. The push and pull is so good!!

Well...

The premise of this story sounded awesome. But, I could not get into it. I skipped whole chapters at a time and still couldn’t get into it.

Great book!

I loved Jude and Lia's story and really wasn't ready for it to end. This is such a great series. Can hardly wait for Isabelle's story!

Great read

This series is amazing and this book did not disappoint! I love Jude and Lias story and their connection. This is a must read series!

Floored

Well I think this book is one of my favorite it is not a slow read you flow though and you sure don't want to put it down. So enjoy

Another Great Story!!!

Absolutely amazing! Makes you feel all the feelings. Jude and Lia's story, WOW! Draws you in, and grabs your heart! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Highly highly recommend. SO good.

I absolutely loved everything about this. I laughed, cried; smiled. Incredible. If you’ve read the others, you’ll love this one.

Floored

I enjoy reading this authors work and while Floored was not my favorite book this author has wrote, it was still decent book.

Super cute one night stand

What's better than the Ward sisters, a British hottie and a Ward sister.I loved this one night stand turned romantic story.

Super sexy and oh so bloody perfect

This book was so freaking good. I absolutely loved every inch of it including the hero in the story along with the heroine....simply perfect...

Great read

This book is a great read. Definitely read in the order of series it helps the series even though is a stand alone.

So good

This was such a great book! I loved the characters and story line. I can’t wait to see what is next!

Awesome Book

I absolutely loved this book! I was hooked from the very first page. I can’t wait for Karla’s next book!

Holy, hot English man

Better than expected

Really like this book and the characters. The story was authentic and moved well through the storyline. I look forward to reading another in her series.

Loved it and so good

I just love this family so much and this book was all the feels. Such a great way to see the ward family back again

Amazing

This book was WOW. Instantly fell in love with Lia and Jude. Their story had its struggles but you knew they deeply loved each other and I do believe I ugly cried a couple of times. It’s a must read
