Together with her team, plus help from an eccentric exorcist from Texas, prepares for the fight of her life, a fight destined since her own childhood.

The latest in the Ellie Jordan series is ok

I came to this series a couple years ago, grabbing up the first and quickly falling in love with the story. I read the first, second, third... grabbing up the next in line as quickly as I finished one. It’s not great literature, but it is a fun ride with an interesting storytelling style and premies, and decent characters. It’s not perfect, but it’s still fun. There is an encompassing thread that ties Ellie’s life together: how she got into ghost hunting, why she’s scared of relationships and commitment, and why she’s so passionate about rounding up ghosts and protecting people. Anton Clay, her nemesis, is always leaking somewhere, be it in the back of her mind, or actually in the rafters and holes of somewhere haunted. His passion for fire a threat to Ellie. So when author Bryan sets us up in the previous book for their final showdown I was looking forward to the outcome (I sadly didn’t like that book as much as previous ones either). So, ok, nope, it didn’t fulfill my hopes for the outcome. I won’t give anything away, but I will say this book wanders as aimlessly and unfocused as the characters within. All those previous books had been a fun read, something for the beach or tub or Sunday afternoons, but good, tight stories. This one (as with the previous) seems to have become too lost in trying to figure out the ending. If you’re an Ellie fan yes, you have to read it. But if you come away disappointed... hey, I still look forward to what’s next for Ellie and her team, but yea, I’m disappointed in how this played out.

AN AWESOME READ!!!

Fire Devil was an AWESOME, AWESOME READ!! Start to finish, it was totally hard to set down. It's very hard to write a review about this fascinating book, without giving away all the things that will happen, from the beginning to the very end....sigh... The chase is on to find Anton Clay and stop him from starting more fires and claiming more souls!! Stacey, Jacob, Michael, Melissa and a new addition to the group, Tucker Nealon, all guided by Ellie to chase down Anton. Definitely a book, you won't want to lay down, until the very end!!

Another great book in the ghost trapper series

I am a huge fan of the ghost trapper series, and this is another great book in that series. The story continues the arc of Ellie's conflict with the fiery ghost of Anton Clay, so this time, the haunting is personal. The characterization is wonderful and in fact, I got so concerned about the characters that I peeked at the ending. I am not going to reveal anything about that, though, so I won't spoil it. As you might guess from my last comment, the suspense is superb. I really love Ellie and her often snarky comments. She is a wonderful character. I do recommend you read the series from the beginning to get the most out of it and get a real view of the character arc for Ellie. You don't have to because the story can stand on its own, but it does lend some depth to it to know what has gone on in the past. The writing is clear and unobtrusive and the story is a lot of fun and exciting. I loved it.

At long last, the fiery showdown between ghost hunter Ellie Jordan and pyrokinetic ghost Anton Clay.

At long last, the fiery showdown between ghost hunter Ellie Jordan and her nemesis, pyrokinetic ghost Anton Clay. Anton Clay has been killing for hundreds of years. Ellie was the only one to have escaped his fiery deaths, her parents not being as lucky. It's been over a decade and now that he has possessed her boyfriends sister she and her ragtag team plus an exorcist from Texas drive cross country to catch up with Anton for the final showdown. This is such a great paranormal series that equally blends spooky and at times downright scary with humor. I am curious to see how finally defeating the entity that killed her family and shaped what she became will change Ellie.

Sequel to The Monster Museum!

This is the sequel to #10, The Monster Museum, and helps tie up some loose ends. It was an exciting ride from start to finish, with plenty of ghosts and danger for all involved. It also introduced a new character, to help them with exorcising Anton Clay from the body and soul of Melissa. I hope that there are more adventures for Ellie and her gang in the future.

Ellie does it again!

This is a fabulous series. Ellie has had her own personal ghost issues that have tormented her but get resolved in this book. The Monster Museum was one of the creepist cases Ellie has had to deal with so I was eager to see how the problems that arose during that case would get resolved. The story couldn't have been tied up better. J.L. Bryan knows how to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Thanks for a wonderful reading experience. Looking forward to more of Ellie's and Stacey's adventures.

Fabulous ghostly adventure

The Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper series consists of eleven books. The author is a genius at creating spooky and intriguing settings for each book. If you enjoy dangerous, paranormal adventure from the safety of your chair, this series is for you. The characters including the ghosts are relatable in their strengths and flaws. History and folklore are woven into the stories. After eleven books, I am going to miss Ellie Jordan.

Fire 🔥

Thoroughly enjoyed this one as a satisfying not quite end of the series. I do miss Hayden or Hoff. Also would like to see more of Tucker. And must they be so snotty towards those characters? And can we go after Stacey's personal ghost? She sounds creepy as all get out. If you have missed this series, get it and settle in for some good old fashioned scares with some history mixed in. Just enough to be informative without getting bogged down. Well done!

Loved it

I found this installment of the Ellie Jordan books to be really interesting and a great ending to the Anton Clay story. It seemed for sure to be the ending of the series, which I was sad about, but I saw after finishing the book that he does plan to continue the series so I'm happy about that. I've been reading about Ellie Jordan for so long now that I feel she's part of my family! Can't wait to see what's in store next.

Wow and WOW...

So hard to put down. It was hard to determine what would happen to the very very end of the book. I loved how it ended though - and what an awesome series I sure hope the series is not over.. I have grown to love this series... except for one book....

Please don’t let it end...

Loved the continued explanation of history and depth between the main characters. I don’t know much about ghost (thank goodness) but JL makes these stories seem so realistic. I love Ellie, Michael and team! Will be so sad if this storyline is ending.

Great series

Good reading through all of the books, the ghosts are varied and realistically written with distinct personalities rather than being cookie cutter boo bait. Well worth the purchase. Highly recommended reading

JL Bryan does it again!

This is another Ellie Jordan supernatural mystery. There is a plethora of ghosts and a very satisfactory ending. As usual it was very well written and kept you going until you finished. I would definitely recommend this book! Very enjoyable!

This Out does Them ALL!

What a thrilling, riviting series! Each book just kept getting better, until the last one EXPLODED with unimaginable horror to keep you up all night. The characters are so realistic. I can't wait for more Ellie Jordan books from this fantastic author!

Just, ok

This book was a little different then the previous books. It kind of rambled a round and was difficult to follow the author's reasoning. Hopefully the next book will be back on track, because I really like this series.

Big bad monster, out...

As always, I loved this book in Ellies journey. I think it was actually one of my favorites in some ways. The ending was great. Looking forward to seeing where Ellie and Stacy and the gang go from here.

Last of the Ellie Jordan books - so far

See my review of the first book. Not all books in the series are as good as the first one, but they are close. I really enjoyed the series and recommend it to anyone who likes urban fantasy.

It's the end...right? I bawled, cried, blundered in thanks that Ellie & her team made it through the horrible maze Anton led them through! I was so distraught at the last, but I had the utmost faith in Ellie, I clung to my faith in her and her gang to overtake Anton! And when they overtook that Monster, I bawled and cried in jubilation for an hour at least! Mr.J.L. Bryan deserves accolades of a higher.power. I am so happy here in Oregon believing there are Ellie's & Mr.. Brian's out there deciding ways to fight the netherworld! Because, you & I just never know when another Peshtigi

Absolutely frightening, horrifying, and unable to put it down! The Grimm brothers had nothing on J L Bryan! The Peshtigo, Wisconsin Fire was based on truth, unfortunately; which can still be felt in that area today. We can only pray for them, their families, their souls. J. L. Bryan reminds us, and makes us aware of, the stratas and planes of life on Earth as we know it.

The best so far!

I've really enjoyed all the Ellie Jordan books, but this one was amazing. So many threads from previous storylines coming together for an incredibly satisfying ending. I was worried that Bryan might end the series with this book, so I'm thrilled to see the author's note saying the fun isn't over. Looking forward to more already!

Love it.

I just love this series. I love the characters. I love almost everything I've read for the author. If you like his other books you may just like these too.

Fire Devil

What a great two part story. Ellie and Stacy and Jacob and Michael are amazing. I can't wait to read more about the adventures of these ghost trappers.

Absolutely worth the read! Finally get some answers!!

Absolutely loved this book! It dragged in a few places but I am SO glad we finally figured some stuff out. But I still feel like I missed something with Kara and the paranormal research people.... where the eff did they go? I plan on rereading them all to see what I missed because there are no answers about them in this book.

A great bit of creepy

This book was a very interesting end to Ellies battle with her long time nemesis. Interesting, creepy, keeps you reading.

Excellent conclusion to the vendetta

It was great to see Ellie resolve the ongoing issue from her past. Don’t want to give any spoilers but I like the ending! I did skip the chapters from Clays point of view... my personal preference is not to know what the villain has planned or is doing. I like to learn that along with the main character.

Great wrap up

This was an excellent wrap up to a story line that has stretched out through the series so far. It was nice to see it come to a conclusion but still have some questions about what will happen next.

How does one fight a nemesis?

Especially when one feels like a failure. Line up all your weapons, load up with ammo, and recruit the best help you can find. W!!

Awesome part 2!

These are some of my favorite stories! I live the comedy and paranormal aspect! Can’t wait for the next in the series!

Great series

Great read as all the others in the series! Loved seeing a happy ending to Ellie's quest. Finally! No more spoilers.

Good resolution, new issues raised.

This book resolved Ellie's backstory in a very gratifying way. It also introduced new entities that could make for fascinating stories in the future. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Yes Ellie!

I love this series. I'm so glad it finally happened. You have to read this book to find out how much of a badass Ellie is. I highly recommend reading the previous books before reading this one.

Blew my mind!!!!

This was the Best of the series. The ending was so mind blowing. I enjoyed seeing Clay the most horrible of ghosts get his. I am also glad there will be more books in this series. I highly recommend reading this book and all the other books in this series!!!!

Great follow up

This was a great follow up to the cliff can'tget of the last book but it feels like the end of the series & that makes me sad. I love reading about Ellie & Stacey & the crew. But if it had to be the end, well, it's a pretty good one.

Awesome series

Loved this series. But I guess I was hoping for a more explosive ending. But it was still a good ending

Very good series

Awesome series my husband and I both enjoyed them all

Loved it

Ok I got the first book free and fell in love with and want to read the rest of them. It's a scary good time and theres some laughter along the way. I like each book they all have something different about them and I just could keep from reading all of them. I can't wait to see Ellie does next. Thanks and keep up the good work. I

Wow!

Wow! Really that one word says it all. Wow! Thank you to JL Bryant for another great Ellie Jordan adventure. So glad to learn there will be more ... many, many more perhaps? I highly recommend this book.

Great Paranormal Series

I have read the entire series. I love it. The stories grab me from the get-go. I can’t stop once I start. It is a fabulous paranormal series. Highly recommend it if you enjoy the paranormal.

Good writing, excellent characters, wonderful suspense

Excellent resolution to this story arc in pursuit of Clay. I really liked this book, good writing as usual, and excellent character development, with lots of suspense. Still like this series a lot!

I pay full price for these!

I read so fast that I have to REALLY want a book to buy it. I almost never pay full price because at a book and a half a day it gets pretty pricey, pretty quick. I have paid for 10/11 of these books and I can't even tell you how huge that is! When I found the first one, I didn't have high expectations but I was wrong...I love these books and am already waiting impatiently for #12.

Really enjoy this author!

Great light reading for traveling or sitting in the car line at school! Love the way the author ties people and themes together. Have read all the Ellie Jordan series and really enjoyed this two book edition. Looking forward to the next book!

Great rrad

Always a fun read

I really enjoy this series. I'm looking forward to what happens next to our intrepid heroine and her gang. But I'll have to wait a while...

Scary

This latest installation of the Ellie Jordan world is the scariest yet. 🔥Fire and mayhem during a cross country race against time.

Satisfyingly to the end

A great conclusion to the Elie vs Clay adventures. Hope the next adventures of Ellie Trapper are equally good. I can't wait!

Love Love Love Ellie

100% perfection again!

Having read all eleven Ghost Trapper books, I really enjoyed this one and all the loose ends it tied up. Hope he continues them in the future.

I really enjoyed this series of books.

These books are well written. Great characters. Can't wait until the next one comes out. I am wondering what happened to Amil and fire ghost of the little girl. Did they just go to sleep like the rest?

Love this series

I love the characters and the story. Despite the big challenge seemingly resolved I hope more stories are coming down the pike

Love this series!!!

Creative Deeds Reads Review

Eleven books in and I’m no where close to being tired of Ellie Jordan, her crew or their escapades. Fire Devil may be one of my favorites in this series so far. Throughout the Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper series, readers have known about Clay. He’s only been front and center in a few books, but he’s always there. He’s the reason why she started hunting and trapping ghosts in the first place. In Fire Devil, things finally come to a head and she risks losing everything to take Clay down. Even her own life. The action and danger didn’t slow down in this one at all. The whole crew was together, with a few additions. Their main goal was to release Michael’s sister from Clay’s clutches and destroy Clay in the process. Hopefully without anyone else getting hurt… or worse… in the process. Along the way they encounter even more restless spirits and solve a few mysteries, while opening up even more. Clay has a sinister plan, which they have to figure out and fast. Ellie learns more than she expected and gains something that she thought was forever lost. Just one of the many reasons why I loved this one so much. I can't wait to see what J.L. Bryan has in store next for Ellie Jordan. 😉 I received Fire Devil in exchange for a fair and honest review.

2 Stars, only for the Author's sake

The last book was, in my opinion, not worthy to be included with the first 6 books of this series. So, in my last review, I said for the sake of this author, I 'd give Fire Devil a try. Well, very first chapter finds me reading (again) a bunch of nonsense filler garbage, starting with our heroine banging repeatedly on a door, and only THEN testing the knob and finding the door unlocked... Oh, so much more, but then the second chapter had me coming on here to read the reviews; I saw who's POV we'd be in, and I could've cared less to read it. Thankfully, one reviewer gave me the heads-up concerning a little animal and Clay farther into the book, and THAT reviewer shut down this whole shebang. A defenseless creature in the hands of this tiresome Clay; well, enough is enough. All this being said, without too much giveaway (how could I, only reading 1 chapter and a few reviews?), I will hope that the author's next book will have done with Clay and ONLY include Ellie (with a bigger backbone), Stacy and the rest of those of the truly professional kind.

Great addition to the series!

Fire Devil (Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper #11) by J.L. Bryan This book took Ellie and gang across the US in search of her possessed friend. Her friend is possessed by the entity that killed her parents. He has always been obsessed with her, the one he missed. He also kills by fire. So it's best to read previous books to know the whole background of the team and the enemy. Along the way they are confronted with hostile ghosts, scared and desperate souls, ghosts that need to rest by having truth known, and they find that a ghost has been captured! They help those they can but can't really wait because they have to find their friend. There is a lot of good paranormal activity and ghost activity for all ghost lovers. Great characters too! We get a quick look at the peculiar guy that is to perform the exorcism if they find their friend. He seems to be quite the character! I really enjoy these ghost adventures. Not really scary but have their moments of great supernatural suspense. Love all the ghosts! Perfect for people that want to read a ghost book but really don't want to be scared to death! Just a little thrill! To me they are just right.

Four and a half stars: A haunted road trip that digs up some fascinating history.

Ellie and Michael are in pursuit. They are desperately trying to rescue Michael’s sister from the evil ghost known as Anton Clay. Their trip takes them, along with Stacey and Jacob, cross country. Along they way, the gang encounters more ghosts and hauntings before they finally make a last stand confrontation in the town of Peshtigo, a town that was wiped up the map in 1871 by a raging fire. The perfect place for a fire possessed ghost to do the most damage. Will Ellie be able to finally rid herself of Clay? What I Liked: *Fire Devil is one heck of a road trip. I loved that this book followed Ellie and the gang cross country, allowing for more haunted history, and believe me, the history doesn’t disappoint. I also liked that this book was one that ended some of the major story arcs that have been ongoing in the series, while laying the foundation for new adventures. I am ready for new things for Ellie and company. *I was absolutely fascinated by the town of Peshtigo, Wisconsin. In 1871, the same day as the Great Chicago Fire, this small town was completely destroyed by a large fire, killing some 2,000 souls. I had no idea! I thought it was brilliant the way Mr. Bryan incorporated this into the story. It was the perfect backdrop for the final last stand confrontation. I loved that he included real life history in this one. *I love a good road trip book, and this book had one heck of a road trip. The gang drives cross country to California, and then on to Wisconsin in pursuit. Each stop presents more ghosts. This isn’t a joyride road trip that’s for sure! *I liked that this book was all about tying off some of the ongoing story lines. It was a relief to finally get some closure on some of the main story arcs. It was one heck of an ending! I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here. And The Not So Much: *There was an interesting portion of the story where Michael reencounters his dad. I was disappointed in the way this played out. I am hoping that maybe it will be revisited again. *I wish there had been a bit more of the haunted history, there were some mentions of some particularly haunted areas on the road trip, and I found myself wishing they could stop and investigate. Maybe Ellie and the gang can do another road trip down the line. *Nealon, the exorcist, was an interesting and eccentric addition to the story. I found myself wishing that he had played a bigger role. Hopefully, he will be back in another book as I want to know more about him. Fire Devil was another thrilling installment in the Ellie Jordan Ghost Trapper Series. This book is one that concludes some of the major ongoing story arcs while laying the stage for more adventures to come. I am a fan of this series and always eager for more. If you want a fantastic paranormal series, look no further. You need to read Ellie Jordan! I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for this review. Posted@Rainy Day Ramblings.

Amazing showdown!

This book was amazing! This was a very personal case for Ellie, finally facing down the ghost that murdered her parents all those years ago. Except she’s gotta chase this fire-loving ghost across the country because he has taken Michael’s sister, Melissa, along for the dangerous ride. --- "His mind straddled atop hers, like a rider on a feisty horse... but she was not yet entirely broken, and tried again and again to buck him off." --- I love that even though Clay was possessing Melissa’s body, Melissa kept fighting him throughout the whole thing! And the reason we know this is because we get Clay POVs! I think we’ve ever only had Ellie narrate the series, but this was a cool change. We got to see how insane and messed up he actually is. And okay we already knew he was screwed up, but we got to see this first hand and see the awful, disgusting thoughts that went through his mind. It was so gross! I could not believe how twisted he was and the things that brought him pleasure... *shudders* And Ellie, as always, was amazing! I loved seeing her finally take on this horrible demon from her past and seeing how she dealt with things. She is such a strong, smart character, and so relatable too! I just love her and after everything that she’s been through, she deserves some happiness in her life. Which is where Michael comes in. Things between them didn’t end well last Halloween, and that made me so incredibly sad because I loved them together. But I hope things will be on the mend for them because, even under the circumstances, Michael and Ellie were super cute together in this book. Another couple I love are Stacey and Jacob! They are so funny and cute and I just love them! And Jacob’s psychic abilities come in handy too 😉 Lol. --- “We need to assume Clay is out there waiting for us, even if he isn’t. This is not a drill, people.” “It’s not a jackhammer either,” Stacey said. “Nor a pneumatic press,” Jacob added. --- We are also introduced to a new character, Nealon, an exorcist or something. Look, he’s got a very elaborate title and I don’t remember what it is. Lol. But he was so eccentric it was hilarious! --- "The crowd began to mutter around us; apparently the guy swinging a shark-tooth sword while yapping about witchcraft and demons was making them uneasy for some reason." --- I really enjoyed this book, like, a lot! I loved seeing Ellie facing this thing that has been tormenting her since she was basically a kid. And although we’ve seen Clay in the past, things go down in this book! The final battle was insane, but in a good way! Clay had all these things up his sleeve, but don’t discount Ellie because she is just as wise and she surprised me with the things she brought out to fight Clay! It was great! I also liked that they sort of went on this cross country trip tracking down Clay. It was just very different from the other books, and I appreciate that. I adore all of these characters and this series in general and I am looking forward to seeing what else is in store for them! And if you have not yet started on this series, I highly recommend it!

Fire Devil Review

This book was very different from the rest of the Ellie Jordan stories but it was still just as awesome! This was the first time we occasionally saw things from a ghosts point of view and instead of being set in one location Ellie and crew literally had to travel across the country on the trail of her own personal demon and biggest nightmare. It was intense for sure and never boring plus all of my favorite characters got to go along for the trip. And though it wrapped some big issues up for Ellie I feel like it opened up some other pretty huge questions. All I know is I can't wait for the next book and I absolutely recommend this one.

A Reading the Paranormal Review

Things are finally coming to a head for Ellie and the ghost who killed her parents. Really, a ghost with an unholy love of fire and a desire to crush the one who got away is a menace to everyone who crosses him, so this was a long time coming. Plus, Ellie's had to live with the specter of this douchecanoe since he targeted her family when she was younger and that can be wearing on a person. That said, Ellie can hold her own against the things that go bump in the night. She's resourceful and dogged and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. Given that she's afraid anyone who gets close to her might end up in her ghost's crosshairs, she's also a little reluctant to allow people close. Sure, she has a few friends and she's done the dating thing, but, really, her entire life is wrapped up around when Anton will strike next and how he'll end up hurting someone. To finally have some closure on that aspect of her life is a good thing. Plus, he's no longer out there terrorizing anyone unlucky enough to cross his path. What does this mean for our plucky ghost trapper? I don't really know. The whole world is open to her now and she can lead a (relatively) normal life. She's paid her dues and all that, so maybe a little downtime is in the cards. Then again, maybe normal is overrated. We got all the thrills that routinely come with a team who battle ghosts with the added bonus of A WHOLE LOT OF FIRE. Because life for Ellie and the others isn't dangerous enough, right? *thumbs up* -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

Love This Series So Much!

With the agony that was the way the last book, Monster Museum, ended, I was so eager to get my hands on the newest installment. I had to know what happened next and I knew that it was going to be quite the adventure, both emotionally and physically for Ellie and all her friends and I couldn't of been more excited for it. What I wasn't expecting was how much darker this whole book was going to be. Not only do we get dual point of views but one of those views, is from the very villain himself and I couldn't of been more thrilled about it. Oh boy, to be inside his head! The darkness, the rage, the pure horror of it all. Honestly, I loved it! It added such a wonderful touch to not only the book but the series as a whole. This really was an action packed read that had so many emotions to it. From the darker sadder aspects to the more heartwarming ones of friendship and true family. Truly a wonderful addition to the series and I'm hoping, even with all that transpired, we will still have many more volumes to come because I'm really not ready to say goodbye to Ellie and all her friends and the ghosts that thy hunt down.

Loved it!

Oh my goodness! This book was one of the best of the series. I am so in awe of JL Bryan's imagination and stellar writing abilities. Finally, things came to a head with Anton Clay, and it was time. He had haunted Ellie for way too long. I screamed in outrage when I read that Kara was the one who let Clay free. That wretched woman! I also cried like a baby at the end, where Ellie finally got to tell her parents she loved them and her mother touched her face in goodbye. That's how powerful JL Brian's writing is to me... a scary ghost trapper book shouldn't bring me to tears and make me blubber like a baby, yet it did. Can't wait for the next book!

Possible animal abuse?

Ok I have read all the other books and loved them. I got to the part where Clay got a red tabby kitten at a pet store and I slapped my kindle shut. I could not see where this would not end badly for the kitten. I had my red tabby rescue laying in my lap at that moment. I returned the book for a refund. If someone wants to tell me the cat survives whatever happens then I'll order the book again. I'd love to know how it ends but I see enough real life victims of abuse, both animal and teenage victims. No thanks in my escapism reading.

Wrapping up old threads

This is a must if you’ve been following the series from the start. Ellie takes on her nemesis and goes on a road trip to try to save Michael’s sister. Along the way they check out some of the seamier places to stay that come with their own sets of unrestful residents. The whole series is a lot of fun and having closed one major theme it will be interesting to see where Ellie and crew go next.

A Fantastic Series!

I've read all of the books in this series, starting with the first book and reading in order. One doesn't have to do that, however, because each is a stand alone since the author gives some details to explain various things that happen. This series is my absolute favorite for ghost novels. If you love reading about haunted places and don't want tons of gore, or cursing, or sex scenes, then these books are for you. The author is skilled at including history into each book, as well as some humor. The dialog between the characters is good and flows well. The downside is that I have to wait until the next book comes out. Please don't stop this series, Mr Bryan!

Brilliant Entertainment!

Excellent book! First, I didn't want to start reading - too afraid of the outcome - but then on the other hand I was also too curious not to find out what will happen next. I totally loved the sarcastic, but witty and funny comebacks between the characters. The events were expertly described, and the story was full of historic events plus incredible imagination. The anticipation had me up in knots. I was glad there was some closure for Ellie from the haunting past and what an ending! The author is a pure genius and excellent story teller. This was one of those "cannot put down" books and come highly recommended.

While I didn't love-love it, I still love this series!!

I have adored this series from the very start a mere 11 books ago. But I was not crazy about this one. It actually pains me to say that. I am still giving this book 4 stars because the first and the last parts. It was the middle that I just did not like. It was a lot of nothing and sort of boring as well. But I still love this series and will still happily read whatever Bryan dishes out for Ellie. Because while I didn’t love this book, I still care so much for Ellie and her friends. And we do get an amazing conclusion to the whole Anton Clay nightmare. Bryan finished this one off spectacularly. 4 Stars!

So glad there's more!

I live in Oklahoma about an hour from Ardmore and the author nailed the feeling of the town. Somehow I've read all eleven of these books and it feels like I started reading them a couple of months ago. I actually put off finishing this one because I thought it might be the last. I'm so happy there's more!

Wow! The two part cross over was awesome!

This ended up being such a page turner! Very exciting once Ellie and Michael started driving across country. I fell asleep twice holding this in my hands cause I just didn’t want to stop! Off to get the next one!

Excellent

Wow can't believe Clay is finally gone! Wonder what new adventures Ellie will be into in the future? Can't wait to find out. This was exciting and heart stopping but as usual well written.

Loving this series!

I recently started the Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper series. As quickly as I finish one, I'm downloading the next! The characters are so fun with each quirky personality working so well together. Also love the history of an area that the author throws in....makes each book truly seem real.

A Must Read Series for Those Who Love Ghost Stories

Ellie, Michael, and her ghost-hunting team must chase the ghost of Anton Clay, now possessing Michael’s sister Melissa’s body, across the country to stop him from acquiring horrific powers. The series-long battle between Ellie and the ghost who murdered her parents comes to a burning and powerful conclusion. A must read series for those who love paranormal ghost stories with more than a tinge of terror.

Excellent reading! Exciting series

Love this series! This book was very exciting and kept me enthralled with the story. The character's have never been disappointing. I highly recommend reading the Ellie Jordan series.

Who doesn’t love They Might Be Giants?!

I’m so in love with this series and these characters! I can’t wait to read the next one! I hope Ryan forgives Ellie though..,

Ellie Jordan is a strong character

I really am enjoying the whole series.

A road trip that beats all road trips

Ellie's character is one of my favorites. She is so strong and willing to sacrifice herself to save the ones she loves. This book is no exception, and with the chase to finally capture Anton Clay, it it was Intense road trip that beat any road trip. I really hope there's more because there are more adventures to be had with Ellie and her gan of ghost hunters.

Great Book !

This is the last so far . JL Bryan says he will continue this series . I hope so ! This story is about Ellie and her friends chasing her old enemy across the southwest to try to stop his evil . It's quite a chase and they encounter more ghost along the way to deal with . Enjoy !

The Great story continues.

Great to see a long running story line finally wrapped up(So it seems). And a new plot line dropped in our lap. I love this series and the characters. The ending is dazzling. Looking forward to much more.

Will dude you have done it again?

I love😘 the Ghost Trapper books! I don't think I could ever read this book before and as well said you have been able to do something like anything about them!

great fast read

fantastic book series

More of a damp squib than a fire raiser

I've enjoyed the previous Ellie Jordan books, but this one and its prequel, whilst they're not bad, show signs of milking the theme. There was a lot of padding in Monster Museum and it was very unevenly paced; this one's a bit better, but the ending, and the tedious cross-country running around to get to it, was so silly and drawn out, I almost gave up. The only good thing was that the tiresome villain, Anton Clay, appears to have bid an overdue farewell to the dramatis personae. I've read many USA authors, but few quite so overtly modern-American as J L Bryan. I can't decide If he's having a go at the superficial commercialism of that esteemed country or endorsing it. Either way, he reflects its shallow tastelessness in his characters, who have no depth or engagement - no Atticus Finch here - and communicate in comic-strip dialogue; I almost sympathise with the preposterous villain (pure evil with no mitigating traits, true pulp fiction style) for wanting to bump a few of them off. To sum it up, this book and its predecessors are a good yarn and brim-full of hokum, but unsophisticated and with little intellectual depth. Stephen King need not feel uneasy.

Just wow!

All the fears and trepidation Ellie had to face, even though continuing with injuries, she will suffer more. How much more can she take with Clay? At long last she is free from fear and it is quite a battle to face again. I loved it and to know he is now gone without tormenting her, now she can deal with other battles to ease others lives. Keep them coming! dismiss the nay sayers, this had me hooked and will continue to do so. Bring more on from Ellie and hopefully some romance will keep her sane.

Absolute rubbish

I eagerly waited all the ellie Jordan books they were brilliant riveting. Until the last one and this one ABSOLUTE DRIVEL got to 80% of which I skipped 50% off waiting for something to happen still nothing. Is someone else writing these books now ??? Won't waste my money on any more.

A road trip of emotion

First of, let me say I'm so happy this isn't the last Ellie Jordan story. This is one of my favourite series and I would be heart broken if they ended when I've come to love the characters so well. I was wondering how this story would pan out. It was certainly an epic journey across America for our intrepid gang. Lots of stops, starts and frustrations. I'm not going to spoil the tale by giving away the ending. There's a whirlwind of fire and a note of promise. As long as JL Bryan keeps writing the Ghost Trapper books, I'll keep reading. One fan very happy 😊

Great as always but glad the Clay story is over.

In love with all of these books. Some of them are better than others but it doesn't matter because I'm kind of emotionally involved with these characters now so will read on and on. I hope we can finally get back to the type of stories like the 1st few books tbough so I'm definitely glad the Clay story line has come to an end. But as mentioned, will still be reading these as long as their coming. 🤗

Very enjoyable series of books

I’ve enjoyed all the Ellie Jordan books and highly recommended them for people of all ages. They are great for teenagers and adults alike. I’m middle aged and love anything supernatural and even though these aren’t scary and don’t have you on the edge of your seat they do have great storylines

Awsome

Following Ellie Jordan's story is compelling reading, some books you can put down and pick up when you think you have time. This series of books you make the time to read them. Just couldn't put this last Ellie Jordan down at all. Cant wait for the next one.

Book

Although well written, I feel the whole series dragged on a bit too long. I enjoyed them up to 6 then missed the next four. Glad when I finished reading eleven.

Another good read

Not sure whether this is the last in the series. This one sees Ellie Jordan get the better of her nemesis, and what an adventure it was getting there. I hope there are more?
