A New York Times bestselling love story between a vampire and a werewolf by the creator of the enormously popular Sarah's Scribbles comics.

Elsie the vampire is three hundred years old, but in all that time, she has never met her match. This all changes one night in a bar when she meets Jimmy, a charming werewolf with a wry sense of humor and a fondness for running wild during the full moon. Together they enjoy horror films and scary novels, shady strolls, fine dining (though never with garlic), and a genuine fondness for each other’s unusual habits, macabre lifestyles, and monstrous appetites.

First featured as a webcomic series on Tapas, Fangs chronicles the humor, sweetness, and awkwardness of meeting someone perfectly suited to you but also vastly different. This deluxe hardcover edition of Fangs features an “engraved” red cloth cover, dyed black page trim, and 25 exclusive comics not previously seen online. Filled with Sarah Andersen’s beautiful gothic illustrations and relatable relationship humor, Fangs has all the makings of a cult classic.

Worth every dollar!

I followed this story as it was being posted as a webcomic. I nearly howled when the author-cartoonist said the series was coming to an end. Then she announced THIS BOOK would be coming out, with some 25 extra book-exclusive comics inside, and I don't think I've ever gone so FULL SPEED AHEAD to pre-order anything before in my life! The book-exclusive content is EXCELLENT, it fills out the story of Jimmy and Elsie MAGNIFICENTLY, and still ends with that punch-in-the-feels finisher that the web-published series had. Anyone who's a lover of monsters, spooky stuff, part of goth culture (like Elsie) or finds happiness in Neo-pagan/New Age/Alternative religion (like Jimmy) and their communities, or just loves vampires and/or werewolves, and yet is new to the Fangs fandom will thoroughly enjoy this book. It's the laugh-out-loud, slice-of-life style journey through love, between two incredibly endearing dorks on the darker side.

Awesome awesome AWESOME!

Read the entire book in about 45 mins because I really took my time. Awesome comics. Totally adorable. Absolutely need more books in the series. I’m dying to see her make another book that can go with this one. The art style is top notch. She’s definitely my new fave. You have to buy this and just add it to your library. What a great way to relax! ❤️

Absolutely delightful

A charming slice-of-life style comic about the development of a relationship between two absolutely delightful characters who lean into the monster stereotypes surrounding their species every chance they get. Funny, witty, and the clean line drawings and simple shading really add to the story. Plus the book itself is delightful to hold with a cloth, embossed cover and heavy, black edged pages in a really perfect shade of off-white.

Enchanting story, Great characters and style.

A love story between a vampire and a werewolf. Lovely clean ink style and follows the idea that there's somebody for everybody. The characters are both used to hiding what they are and expecting others to dislike them. Together they find that they enjoy each other's quirks and encourage them. The jokes are based on common vampire and dog beliefs and are wonderful! She salivates at a cut, he chases a squirrel, etc. Lots of great one-liners, beautiful pictures. Lovely morbid humor. The book reads well as a total story but also would work great as a daily comic. I finished it in one go, but keep rereading it a bit at a time.

Short, Sweet, Something to Re-read

I adore this book, its the first thing I've pre-ordered in a LONG time, and I wasn't disappointed. The cover and black outline of pages make me want to keep it out on my shelf all year long for spooky vibes (see pictures), and the quick read and pleasing art makes me want to reread it! I loved how it shows the intimate but also mundane parts of falling in love and trusting your partner. Despite Elsie being a vampire and Jimmy a werewolf, their relationship seemed the most healthy ive found in media today and relate to with my fiance. They're both relatable characters and i enjoyed their story in Fangs. I love it so much!!! Im also so happy to see Andersen doing more. You can really see her style of black and white comics here but more detailed designs from what I did know with Sarah's scribbles. She turned her relatable comics into heart warming moments in this book that remind me to have a positive outlook. I'm excited to see what comes next of this!

Absolutely charming, heartwarming, and perfectly gothic.

Absolutely charming, heartwarming, and perfectly gothic. Sarah has done a fantastic job of capturing the essence of classic gothic comic book vibes (Emily the Strange, Sandman, and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac come to mind) while telling a completely endearing and utterly romantic love story between a vampire and werewolf. The story is humorous, wholesome, clever and captivating. The artwork is delightful and reminiscent of the aforementioned Gothic comics while still remaining true to Sarah's distinct drawing style. Anytime I need a pick me up, I think I will brew a cup of coffee and grab this gem off my bookshelf.

A sheer joy, exploring a quirky love affair

Originally seen as a webcomic, this is a lovely series of comic showing the clashes and connection of an ancient goth girl and her tall, blonde werewolf boyfriend. 100 pages of clear, expressive art in a great red cover reminescent of hardback romance novels. The art is beautiful, the characters funny. Don't expect a deep, long story, but it's fun and they're sweet.

Perfect little romance

Perfectly captures the unique and beautiful relationship between a vampire and a werewolf in our modern day world. ;) It’s the little moments in a relationship that make it interesting and show the love between two people and this book does that well. Fangtastic chemistry and lovely drawings made this a wonderful, heartwarming book. The cover is simply gorgeous too.

Absolutely Hilarious Dark Romance

If you like your humor dark, your main characters a bit twisted, and some all around humorous adventures, this is a book for you. It's done in the style of a daily comic-each page is a new day/moment in their lives. The book does have some extra content that you can't find online. The cover is done in the traditional style with a cloth type covering over the hardback panels. It's an attractive book for sure. Ever wonder what would happen if a werewolf dated a vampire in a modern setting? Well here's your answer!

A Vampire and Werewolf love story that's adorable and funny!

Such an adorable book that makes a great Valentine's gift for that person in your life with a sense of humor. A comic love story between a gothy vampire girl and an outdoorsy werewolf. This one gives me all the feels. It's cute and light-hearted. But it also touches on the elements that make a relationship work. Yes, it's all got a veneer of humor and sci-fi/fantasy elements, but at it's core, it's about making an effort and being considerate of your partner's needs. I'm sending a copy to my best friend for Galentine's day!

I love Sarah Andersen!

I really do love Sarah Andersen and actually read this whole ‘novel’ on Tapas before it was released as a full book. This is a series of comics relating the relationship between a vampire and a werewolf. I really loved this and fully laughed out loud a few times. Definitely something I would come back to and read again. It’s a really quick read and doesn’t fail to bring a smile to my face. Received via Netgalley. All opinions expressed are strictly my own.

Favorite book this year.

So cute. And it made me laugh. It's currently circulating along my friends. But it is just what the heart ordered this year. Every detail Is perfect.

Great Comics, but Available for Free on Tapas

I mean, it's great and the comics are funny. However, all of the comics in this book are available on Tapas for free. I'm always happy to support an artist I love, but wish there was exclusive content for purchasing it. The cover and stuff is extremely nice. I love how the boarders are black.

Must have

Omg omg omg this was o much fun to read. I ordered 3 copies, one for myself and two as gifts. Such a fun story and cute illustrations. The binding and cover art are absolutely gorgeous. Its so beautiful that you will find yourself struggling whre to put it so it gets noticed. I read it all in one sitting. I just can't get over how great it is. Both the story and art work work so well together, add the binding and you have a complete package

Hilarious, fast read full of short vignettes and bite-sized (pun intended) stories

A quick read. I didn't realize it wasn't a single long narrative and is, rather, vignettes and short stories/jokes, some as short as a single image on a page. Hilarious. Finished it and immediately started over. Then my gent found it and did the same thing! He wouldn't stop snickering as he was reading it, which was also pretty funny to watch. Anyway, I think it appeals to males and females, while briefly and sensitively touching on some really meaningful topics. Great buy!

Absolutely Fang-Tastic

This comic style love story is all ive ever wanted in supernatural romance. When i say i wanna date a werewolf, this is what im talking about. I mean, serious relationship goals here. The comics are short but sweet and convey the growing relationship between Vamp Elsie and Wolf Jimmy. I love this stuff. The book as an object is so elegant too. I genuinely wish a hundred times over that we get more of this. Very well done.

Perfect. Sweet, brilliant and funny. Gorgeous art.

I've been a fan of her more real life comics for years now and I bought this sight unseen, simply because of the premise and the beautiful physical book. I was not disappointed it was unexpectedly even more sweet and funny and smart than I was expecting it to be. Definitely a wonderful purchase for my bookshelf to show off. Would also make a really great gift. The black-edged pages are just gorgeous.

Five out of Five Stars!

This was absolutely adorable. The relationship between Vampire Elsie and Werewolf Jimmy was such a heartfelt story, told in snippets showcasing the many moments they share. Some good, some bad, some GREAT. I read the whole book in one sitting, smiling the entire time. I've been a fan of Sarah Andersen for years, and this only solidifies it even further. I can't wait to see what comes next!

Sweet, but not TOO Sweet

I love Sarah Anderson's work! FANGS has the same zippy, quippy dialogue that Anderson favors (and that reads quickly very well) but the style is less her 'happy squishy lump' and more penwork that reminds me of Julia Gfrörer's work (LAID WASTE, BLACK IS THE COLOR). A definite gem for the book shelf, and I love the tactile quality of the cloth-hardcover binding!

Save your money. Just read Fangs on Tapas

I enjoyed reading this on tapas but after spending 15 dollars on this I feel let down. While I did like the story when nearly all of the pages were free on a reading app then paying for something you’ve already read with maybe a few scattered new pieces here and there...I would rather have saved my money. If I knew I had already read the ending before I bought it I would have left it alone. I feel cheated honestly. If you’ve read the webcomic I suggest passing on this. I finished it in thirty minutes, maybe less than that since I’ve already read it when it was a webcomic. Great story but save your money. You’re not missing anything at all. I promise you.

Buy this book, for everyone you love

Amazing, lovely, beautiful, funny, strangely realistic, a true treat. I whipped through the book too fast, and now I’m sad there isn’t more. I loved the many aspects of love being presented in such a fun and simple way.

My New Favorite Book

This is my new favorite book. I ended up reading it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down and I've read it again twice. I love it! Not only is the cover this vintage, gorgeous fabric, but the story is funny, sweet, and draws relatable parallels to what it's like to be in love. This will forever be on display in my house and I recommend it to everyone that loves the supernatural and dark humor.

100% Amusement

I was really excited to see Sarah branch out into another art style, and the little moments of life (and un-life) between the main characters are truly a joy to experience. The book itself is a very sturdy hardcover so it'll last a good long while in good condition, which is good because this is one you'll want to keep with you for life.

Read in one sitting!

This was so cute and fun! Do I wish there was a bit more to make it more of a full story? Sure, but I can appreciate it as a collection of individual comics that connect to a general plot line (more of a classic cartoon series style than a graphic novel). Definitely give it a look because it was funny, quirky, and adorable.

The year I bought webcomics

After following it on Tapas, I had to own the complete FANGS, the story of an unlikely couple who turn out to suit each other very well. The romance of Jimmy the werewolf and Elsie the vampire is by turns hilariously funny, unexpectedly touching, and occasionally (non-explicitly) sexy. I definitely recommend it.

Super cute comic. Highly recommended.

I've purchased comic books from several other artists, but this one is my favorite so far. The outer cover material is nice to the touch, art on cover is slightly embossed, page edges are black and the comics are super cute. I think this would make a great gift for anyone who loves Fall/Halloween/spooky things. Highly recommended!

Funny and Sweet

Personally I just loved every bit of it. I thought it was funny and sweet. Elsie and Jimmy are the cutest modern supernatural couple.

Heartwarming love story

Story unfolds in the course of a hundred pages of snapshot moments, all beautifully drawn. The art and dialogue captures in moments a wonderful tale of romance that never crosses the border into sappiness..... well not for very long at least. It's a love story we can all aspire to, and I am hoping there will be another volume in the future. Very much recommended.

very lovely book

love the material this book is made out of. also the story itself is great! may get another one for my sister

Love it!

I just wish there was a little more meat to the story line. I hope Sarah continues her work on more "fangs" stories.

Great book!

Good graphic novel! I have seen Sarah's comics around the web for years. This is totally different, but still very fun! Lots of modern day dating humor, mixed with puns and dark humor. Not really for kids due to the subject matter, definitely more for older teenagers and above. I really enjoyed it and I'm happy that I bought it!

Lighthearted Vegan Vampire Romp

Lovely book, the black edging and red cover really made it stand out. The story is clever, fun and lighthearted with adorable illustrations. Relationship had a very real feeling to the start (no instant love) and the vegan vampire angle was super cute. Absolute hit in my house.

Great quality printing and cover

I know some might be reluctant to spend money on a web comic in print form so I'll keep it simple. Awesome kinda fuzzy cover, great print and page quality, great rereadability(a word?). Makes a great bookshelf piece, anyone that see the felty red greatness with the cover image and title it going to be curious and pick it up. It's $15, just click add to cart already.

Short, but sweet!

I am a fan of Sarah's Scribbles and wanted to see what else Sarah Andersen had worked on and am glad I did. Although the book is short and I read it in one sitting, it is one that I would definitely revisit. I enjoyed the short comic format and you can see that Andersen took care in the illustration of this book. It's in a different illustrative style than what I usually see from Andersen, but given the subject matter and different characters of these comics, the style made sense and suited the story well.

Classy, elegant, and fun read

The illustrations are a masterpiece, it is worth every cent because Sarah really went above and beyond!!! Not only is it original and refreshing but the book binding is super super well made. It will fit right into an classical selection and will last for generations!! You can get through it quick but that's the beauty because you can pull it out for a quick flip through every now and again and enjoy it more than once and really see the details Sarah put the effort into adding in!!!! Would recommend to anyone who loves a nice supernatural romance!!

I love it! Bonus: the cover is GORGEOUS!!!

This was so inexpensive for the quality! I love these comics and I am so excited to support Sarah Anderson because she’s an amazing creator...but WOW WHAT A GORGEOUS BOOK COVER. Planning on buying another copy for my sister as Christmas gift!

Not my cup of tea

I was looking forward to this. But I didn't find any of the "jokes" funny. It was all very cliché and already done multiple times in vampire/werewolves books. It seems others loved it, though, so that's what matters.

Adorable

Love this little book. There isn't really a story, just little vignettes of their life together, but it's just as cute as it can be. The hardcover book itself is a delight - clothbound with black sprayed edges. I love it - excellent quality.

Good time

This comic is very short but it's such a good time. It's adorable and humorous. I don't think anybody would dislike it. There is not much of story line. Instead we just get a bunch of random scenes from a day to day life of a vampire/werewolf couple. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it aside from it being too short! Highly recommend to anybody.

Love it!!

This was so lovely ! Great stylized drawings and a perfect depiction of a relationship between the rulers of darkness and cute as helllll. Would love to see more of them, but also any collection of works Sarah Andersen comes up with!

Every couple will find themselves in this

Sarah Anderson is a wonderful comic illustrator anyway and this book is above and beyond her regular work. From the werewolf calling the teacup poodle a disgrace to the vampire debating whether or not to eat her boyfriend when she's mad, every couple will find themselves in at least one strip.

Absolutely Perfect!

This book is so spectacularly adorable! I’ve been waiting for it to come out in book form since the author first began posting little snippets of the comics. The book itself is also just gorgeous, and look great on a shelf! Crossing my fingers for a sequel!

Buy your copy! It's well worth it!

The book binding is beautiful! Content is so worth purchasing, I love this book collection already. I've obnoxiously shown my roommate -who also loves the comic- every other page because he'll enjoy it too. Fantastic and beautifully drawn and printed!

Wholesome

As someone who love cute creepy things, this was a wonderful book to add to my collection. The art style fits the tone and the story it tells has such sincerity. I highly recommend checking this one out.

Amazing story

I didn't want it to end, it was so cute! It's a silly and funny story about an unlikely romance. It takes maybe 30 minutes to read, I recommend it after reading something heavy that you need to de-stress from.

SO CUTE

It was a fast read, I think I finished it in like 15 minutes. But I smiled from ear to ear during the whole read. It was adorable, with some typical cliches which I loved. The book itself is VERY high quality and it will sit well on my shelf with my other horror books. I would LOVE a sequel!

30 minute read tops

While I enjoyed reading Fangs, and it had its cute and very relatable moments, it's incredibly short. I'm glad it will not turn out into a series like those other vampire and werewolf books.

Fangs is adorable

This book is freaking adorable. I laughed out loud and it gave me all the warm fuzzies. The only complaint I have, is I read the free version and there are only a couple of comics included in the book that weren’t in the free series. Still love the book and having them all bound together at home

Creative and Adorable Vampire Werewolf Love Story!

I loved every single page! The moment this graphic novel arrived, I ripped open the package and read the entire book! The artwork was lovely and the mini-stories are creative and funny! My only small issue was that I wished that the quality of the paper was a little higher, otherwise it definitely will be a cherished addition to my comic collection! Perfect for fans of Sarah Anderson, as well as any vampire lover!

Absolutely Adorable!

This comic is just a perfect balance of humor, romance, and adorableness. The art style is perfect for this storyline, and the binding itself has a really nice texture and feel to it. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Yes, it's all got a veneer of humor and sci-fi/fantasy elements, but at it's core, it's about making an effort and being considerate of your partner's needs. I'm sending a copy to my best friend for Galentine's day!

Best purchase - glad I got it!

I loved every moment of this book. It’s so relatable. Several times I found myself in the main characters shoes. The art and storyline are amazing and well thought out. It flowed really well and is super cute!

A romance for the Monster Lovers

Great little story to read any time of the year. It's a sweet little romance with just the right touch of monstrous reality. I've had to read it at least a dozen times, and it's one of my go-to comfort stories when I just need a good smile. Can't recommend enough.

Best comic book I've enjoyed in a while!

I have followed Sarah's work for a long time on social media, and my first ever purchase was her Adulthood is a Myth book which was a delight. I was incredibly drawn to this book even more because of the whole vampire and werewolf dynamic so it was a must buy for me and I do not regret it. Best comic book I've enjoyed in a while!

Love it!

Great story! It reminds me of my husband (who always runs hot) and myself (who is always freezing and is quite cold-blooded in general). It's funny, sweet, and very witty.

Love it

Love the authors art work and the comics she does. will not lie i thought it would be an actual story with a beginning middle and end, but i love the short comics too. extremely funny and cute at the same time. the cover and material are not cheap either i love the fabric feel to it and the black pages are so much better on the eyes than just plain white. all in all great little book and cute installations.

Light, uplifting, hilarious, adorable.

Absolutely hilarious, incredibly adorable pairing, wonderful art, and GORGEOUS cover. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a light and uplifting comic.

Vampire and Werewolf Romance Graphic Novel

Super cute (but super short) graphic novel about a romance between a vampire girl and a werewolf boy. Loved it! Will be reading this one every October!

Beautiful book cover to cover

I loved it! So cute. And the red cover with the edges of the pages all black makes itba really striking conversation piece to have lying around 👌🏻

Stunning

Absolutely gorgeous. I’m a huge Sarah Scribbles fan and this was such a treat to read. A little dark. A little edgy. Super fun to read.

Great Read!

I loved this book, I bought it on preorder because I wanted to support the artist. The characters are cute and the artwork is amazing.

Sarah Scribbles delivers an adorable supernatural couple

Both my wife and I loved this book of stunning illustrations. I really appreciated the awkward ( but perfect ) relationship she created between the two.

Delightful from beginning to end

Love the illustrations, and the story is funny and sweet with just a little macabre tinge. Would love to see this author do even more!!

Adorably Wholesome!

I have had 5+ friends read this and no one can stop until they are done. It is so cute and wholesome! Keep up the great work Sarah!!

It was ok

I absolutely love Sarah Scribbles, so I guess my expectations were pretty high. I was expecting it to be funnier than it was, and I was also expecting it be a longer read. It was cute, but that's about all.

Very sweet

Very sweet and funny; doesn't have much of a plot, more of a slice of life relationship exploration between a werewolf and vampire, but it's very endearing.

LOVED IT!

Vampire girl meets werewolf boy. Every single page is both a standalone comic and continues the story of their clever cute little romance.

Fangs the book

Looks just like the photo & got here next day. I love that it's a hard cover book & the design & art is beautiful.

Wonderful little book.

Part of a birthday gift for a quirky friend. We read it together and both loved this book. Great visuals, endearing characters. Well made book too...the black around the edge of the pages is a nice touch. Exceeded expectations.

Full of Charm

I read a good chunk of these comics on Tapas, so when I saw there was a nifty book containing the whole shebang, I didn't think twice. Made for a wonderful gift. : )

Buy it!

Love love love love love. I adore Sarah so much! This was a must have and I adore it!

Amazing!

Arrived well packaged, and is absolutely beautiful! Comics are nicely enlarged and easy to read. The cover is beautifully done, with the print and image embossed. Sarah Andersen's Fangs is a great mix of comedy, sci-fi, and romance.

Fangs

Really cute. I love the overall book design as well. I just wish there was more to read.

Funny and Cute

Me and my teens have read and re-read this many times! So funny and cute!

Adorable spooky love

So happy to receive this, I already read it all in one sitting!!! So cute ❤️

So much fun stuff

I loved these as they came out and even better when they are all bound together!

YAAASSSSS

Absolutely LOVE this comic! Sarah Andersen’s work is my favorite! 😍

Amazing

This is such an adorable love story about this vampire and werewolf couple. The illustrations are amazing and the book it self is art. I really hope she writes more books like this. I love stories about monsters in everyday settings and this book was it. I love to reread books and this one will definitely be one I pick up over and over again.

Excellent book

My only quibble is I felt the book could have used a stronger overarching plot.

Perfect, I love it!

Perfect! I love it ❤ I hope we get more of this couple. ^__^

Beautiful piece of art

Beautifully bound, a wonderful piece to display between readings.

I need a sequel

Please write more Love+Vampires+Werewolves=Fangs ❤️

wonderful little book

So far, I've really enjoyed this book. The red cloth-textured hardcover is easy on the eyes, and it features a sewn binding, so it should hold together pretty well. Very happy I picked this up!

Very Cute!

I’ve always enjoyed reading her short comics online, this is an adorable little story! An excellent addition to any comic collection!

Lovely Comics in a Lovely Book!

So cute! I love these comics and love having more of them. This is a comic series without a plot just to be warned. The book is very nice quality with black edged pages and red binding.

Great read!

Great fun! Unfortunately, it was over to quickly!

Adorable

I loved this and read it in one sitting. Really cute little love story

Love is Love is Love

Sarah is the best, the end.

Great read!

Love this book!

So. Stinking. Cute.

I loved every moment of it.

Amazing - Funny, Domestic, and Delightfully Disturbing

I absolutely adored this story, I finished it and was left thirsting for more. It had an overarching plot as well as small snippets of the domestic life of two 'monsters' so totally in love with each other. I cannot recommend it enough and am praying for a sequel!.

An Adorable Love Story

I flew through this comic book in one sitting. The book is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The story was precious.

Suuuch an adorable book! And gorgeous too! I'm in love!

Awesome!!

Wonderful.

She does it again, with a delightful story of two unlikely lovers.

I'm sending a copy to my best friend for Galentine's day!

a wonderful love story

For a story about a vampire and a werewolf, it's a pretty realistic love story. I definitely want everyone to give it chance and buy a copy

GET. IT.

I had this in my list for so long and decided one day to treat myself. Absolutely LOVE this book! Made me laugh, cry and go aww. It reminds me of me and my fiancé. (Strange I know) I’m gonna need a whole series please!

Love it

This book is a delight, not only is it giving me old edition Dracula with its amazing velvet textured bookcover but it is just such a fun read. Vampire loves werewolf? I am so there. Way to go Sarahs Scribbles for doing something different and doing it so well.

Great purchase

Love this book. Definitely worth it

A great read and wonderful addition to your library

The art is simple and wholesome. I enjoyed it and literally laughed out loud at some parts. Worth every penny.

Beautiful book.

A real work of art and soul both as an object and story. The only disappointment is when you reach the end.

Beautiful

Absolutely love this, wish it was a full length series. Warms my heart and makes me smile.

Great Coffee Table Book

I absolutely adore Sarah Anderson, this book is a perfect touch to the living room. Funny relatable comics!

Lovely.

A perfect love story.

love it

Its so cute. Very fancy looking. A quick read but worth it :)

This is so different from the artist's widely known strip, and I love it. Well done.

LOVE it!

Absolutely adore this book, and can't wait for more!!

Beautiful and Clever

Absolutely enjoyed this masterpiece and keep it by my bedside (its so pretty)! Side note: Unfortunately I spilled juice on the cover and it did not stain or bleed through! The material is very durable and easy to clean. :)

Beautiful and so funny!

Such funny, cute comics and the book’s aesthetic is gorgeous! I’ve been following Sarah’s Scribbles and SarahAndersenComics on Facebook and Instagram for as long as I can remember. So glad to add this to my graphic novels collection!

#relationshipgoals

Hilarious. Adorable. #goals. Where can I find a handsome beardy man who will tell me I'm adorable when I murder someone?

Funny and pretty

Beautiful on the outside and the inside. This book/comic is worth well over $20 bucks in my opinion. It is really cute and funny. I adore it.

Fang-tastic!

Sorry for the terrible pun, but I absolutely love this book! It was such a sweet, funny romance. Just awesome!

Great comic but absolutely stunning book!

You won't go wrong with the comic, it's cute and enjoyable! But the actual book is great! A beautiful cloth cover and the page sides being black creates an absolutely stunning product!

100% Sarah Andersen

Love, love, love Sarah's take on a Vampire/Werewolf relationship.

Great, but slightly damaged

Overall, it’s amazing. I read the comics ready as they were posted but I saw the cover and immediately preordered it. I’m a bit disappointed because there is some damage to the front though.

Exactly Like the Webcomic

The book came with a hard cover that does not feel flimsy. The contents include the entire webcomic as well as a couple new pages. Exactly what I was expecting.

So cute

This was so cute and funny. I loved it!!

Love Everything About It

Loved this book. The physical book is extremely high quality and looks very cool. The comic is funny, light-hearted, and sweet.

Too adult for tweens.

Not for tweens!!! Lots of intimate moments and adult language. Reads like a comic book.

Great buy

Loved this book. Binding is beautiful. Story line is sweet.

wonderful

truly a wonderful little book

Cute and mushy as hell. Gotta love it.

Worth it

Great book!

Great gift!

Very well done.

Loved it, cute, short read.

Cute, short read but well worth it!

when you are so alike yet so different

When you are perfect for each other but oh, so different... Super cute graphic novel involving snippets of the life between a vampire and a werewolf. Almost every page with bring a smile if not a chuckle with its humor and wit. The jokes are fun, dark, and poke fun and has cute graphics. I absorbed this book when looking for a break and enjoyed the snippets/glances into their life in modern society while being paranormal creatures. Super cute, super fun and a great read! Thank you to Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

Cute and funny, so much fun!

Series Info/Source: This is a stand alone book that I borrowed from the library. Story (5/5): This gives you a glimpse into the lives of Elsie and Jimmy. Elsie is a three hundred year old vampire who is looking for companionship and someone who will just let her be herself. Jimmy is a werewolf in a similar position. These are just little one page comics that give a humorous glimpse into their relationship and day to day lives together. It’s cute, darkly humorous, and very well done. I liked it a lot and found myself laughing out loud many times. My husband and I then sat down and re-read it together and he enjoyed it too. Characters (5/5): The two main characters are well done; Elsie is just your normal everyday 300 year old vampire...she loves blood, violence, dark rooms and Jimmy. Jimmy is your typical werewolf; he loves his raw meat, can’t resist chasing squirrels, loves to be scratched behind the ears, and adores Elsie. They are two irresistible characters with a bit of a darkly humorous streak to them. I loved them right away. Setting (4/5): A lot of this takes place in the characters houses or out walking around their neighborhood. Nothing special but very well drawn and easy to follow. Writing/Drawing Style (5/5): The drawing in here is very well done and typical of Andersen’s normal artwork, I do feel like this is a bit more refined than her “Sarah’s Scribbles” comic was. I adored the little glimpses into Elsie and Jimmy’s day to day life, which walks us through their rather unusual relationship. Andersen takes pretty much every typical vampire and werewolf trope and makes it a joke in here about it. I enjoyed all the references to popular paranormal beliefs and material. This was very very well done. The physical book itself is beautiful too, wrapped in blood red cloth with an embossed picture of Elsie on the front, it’s a pleasure to hold and read. My Summary (5/5): Overall I loved this, it was so well done and so much fun. Very different from the “Sarah’s Scribbles” comic, this felt a lot more refined and was both a lot sweeter and a lot funnier. I would recommend it to those who enjoy laughing at humor involving paranormal creatures. Can’t wait to see what Andersen comes up with next, I love her drawing style and her off the wall sense of humor. I also loved the care that was put into the physical book design, it’s beautiful.

Pure Perfection!

Are you a fan of Sarah's Scribbles? If so, then you should be checking out Sarah Anderson's latest piece of work; Fangs. First released on Tapas, it's the story of a vampire and a werewolf falling for each other and dating. It is every bit as chaotic and entertaining as you might expect. Their entire relationship is told through a series of short panels. If you read the story on Tapas, you received segments on a regular basis. But if you're reading this collection, you get them all at once (along with several bonus panels). Fangs is adorable and endearing in the best of ways. Fans of Sarah Scribbles will surely enjoy every moment of it – as will any new fans. Especially those that are fond of vampire and werewolves acting cute and irreverent. This is a collection full of sweet moments – and dark humor. It's a perfect combination if you ask me, but then I've always been a fan of things like this. There are a lot of tongue in cheek moments – teasing at the expense of pop culture and the like. It's funny and entertaining. In short, it is everything that I was hoping to see from Sarah Anderson. The artwork is different from Anderson's usual style. The characters could not, in any form, be described as scribbles. Now they're more accurately drawn, with better proportions and more details throughout. The choice to change styles here was a smart one, making her series distinct. It also suits the material better.

bloody sweet romance

This review is based on an ARC ebook received for free from NetGalley. I am not being paid to review this book and what I write here is my own opinion. Stop me if you’ve heard this before. A vampire and a werewolf meet, fall in love, and have to learn how to be together despite their differences. It’s a story so common nowadays that it’s practically trite. And yet Sarah Andersen of Sarah’s Scribbles fame has created a pleasing romantic comic with that very premise. Elsie (vampire) and her new love Jimmy (werewolf) meet and hit it off right away. After all, “it’s not easy being a monster.” And, indeed, their road to happiness is not completely smooth, but the moments Andersen chooses to share with readers are well-chosen and often understated, and yet packed full of narrative and meaning. The importance of communication and compromise are clear here without ever becoming depressing or belaboring points, which is nice to see. Something that pleased me immensely about this story is that Elsie and Jimmy are not self-loathing, even though they’ll call themselves monsters. The violence inherent in both their kinds is something they have in common, and so they offer each other support when those moments arise, rather than shame and judgment. Whether it’s Elsie’s list of people she’s killed or Jimmy’s potential for danger when he’s a wolf, they accept those parts of each other and even laugh about them together. Really, this is just a tremendously sweet and funny comic about two inhuman beings whose love for each other makes them more human, but no less themselves, and it’s a great read. I definitely recommend it.

Delightful

This isn’t a plot driven book, which readers should note going in, so that they are prepared to properly enjoy the fact that Fangs is a series of short snapshots into the lives (or death, as the case may be) of a vampire and a werewolf. They are In Love, and it is wonderful. Each new scene moves seamlessly between darkly comedic to adorably fluffy. If you’ve been on the Internet at any point in the last five years, I’m willing to bet you’ve come across at least a couple of Sarah Andersen’s comics—most likely her semi-autobiographical “Scribbles” series. She is a constant delight and a master of the short form web comic, with a particular talent for observational humor. Fangs takes a very slightly different turn, as it turns two horror story monsters into a rom-com couple who love puns, dark humor, and each other. Easily read in a single sitting, or savored page by page.

Little glimpses into the life of a vampire and werewolf in love. Charming and fun.

'Fangs' by Sarah Andersen (of Sarah's Scribbles fame) is a collection of comics about a love story between a vampire and a werewolf. Elsie is a 300 year old vampire. Jimmy is a werewolf. They meet and fall in love and this collection of cartoons shows the funnier side of their relationship. I found out it's never good to throw open the curtains in the morning on your vampire girlfriend. It's also not good to remove your silver rings before holding your werewolf boyfriend's hand. My hidden goth heart found this book completely charming, as did my hopelessly romantic side. The jokes are a bit silly, but there is a genuineness to the relationship that I didn't expect. Even though these are just snapshots, I found myself loving this couple. The illustrations are different from Sarah Andersen's other work, and I loved them I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

A charming slice-of-life style comic about the development of a relationship between two absolutely delightful characters who lean into the monster stereotypes surrounding their species every chance they get. Funny, witty, and the clean line drawings and simple shading really add to the story.

Sink your fangs into Fangs!

Do you like cute couples? Vampires? Werewolves? HORRIBLE PUNS? Well then "Fangs" is for you! Sarah Andersen, of "Sarah's Scribbles" fame, has created another wonderful masterpiece in the form of "Fangs", which is a series of short comics and art about a vampire and a werewolf who are very much in love with each other. Elise and Jimmy are super adorable, and neither back down from a pun opportunity at the other's (and their own) expense. Sort of a "My Giant Nerd Boyfriend", Goth Edition, "Fangs" is funny, heartfelt, swoony, and all around perfect for putting a smile on your face!

Humorous, Light-hearted and Quick Fantasy Read

I was devastated when I read FIN and realized that my enjoyment was already over! I have always loved comics by this author and was so excited to see her branch into a new story line. This darkly comedic read was spot on for what I would imagine a loving, modern relationship being between a werewolf and vampire. At times they seemed like any other couple, but then would do something that fit in perfectly with their monstrous sides. Focusing on their relationship and how they navigate being together in sunlight, during a full moon, eating, and completing everyday tasks was funny and weirdly relatable (as I am neither a werewolf nor vampire). By far, the element that rocks this comic for me is how creative Sarah Anderson is when taking a simple task and making it hilarious without even needing words, rather just by using her art. If anything held me back, it was truly that it was just too short and left me craving more!

for lovers of the casually morbid and ‘punny’ humor

While Fangs looks different than the comics Andersen’s better known for, it still remains to be the casually morbid and ‘punny’ humor she’s best at. Two things I’m certainly enjoying immensely in this collection. As I only knew of the Sarah’s Scribbles work on Instagram, I wasn’t sure what to expect here. And yet, I was instantly hooked on the situation of pairing a werewolf and a vampire in love. Happily allowing myself to be pulled through their day to day life with all the shenanigans that ensued. Additionally, this new art style from Andersen is refreshing. It helps distinguish the characters and adds maturity to the work. And in all honesty, I don’t have anything bad to say here. The only reason it didn’t get a full five stars is because it felt just a little too short for the price you would put out for it.

Miraculous, heartwarming - a perfect cure for cynicism and sadness in general

This book is simply enchanting. I had read it on the tapas website but there are MORE cartoons in this book. (Yes. True.) It's a love story between a vampire and a werewolf sans glittering skin. But with a LOT of humor and GREAT art. Both are quirky and goth and sort-of-dark (don't give that book to your church going aunts in rural Oklahoma) and absolutely heart warming. It's simply a beautiful story in beautiful drawn pictures. Also the book is a plus. - while I am the super-Kindle-person having problems reading anything in small print in my old paperbacks and one who swipes left on a paper page (... yep... ) - this is a fab book in red cloth and all the trimmings. VERY nice book. I have it parked on my bedside table and now sometimes look for favorite pages. - - I recommend this book very much, also as a gift.

I loved Vamp and Jimmy!

I am a huge fan of Sarah Scribbles so when I saw that Andersen was making a new comic about a vampire and wolf I was all over it. This comic was originally released on Tapas, a free webcomic site. So if you do want to continue following this work go check it out there. I loved this comic. It shows the progression of the relationship between a vampire, Vamp, and a werewolf, Jimmy. I loved the art style of this comic. It was beautifully drawn and each panel is packed with a lot of emotion. I couldn't git enough of these two! I really hope she continues to write Vamp and Jimmy’s story because I really enjoyed this. Also I think we need more paranormal daily life comics! *ARC provided by Netgalley for an honest review.*

A Vampire and A Werewolf Fall in Love

Fangs is a graphic novel that even people who don’t like graphic novels can love. Black and white, simple yet stylish graphics tell the sweet, funny, quirky love story of Ellie the vampire and Jimmy the werewolf. . I found myself smiling the entire time I read this and even chuckling out loud a time or two. Ellie is the kind of gorgeous yet snarky vampire chick I wish I could be, and I certainly wouldn’t complain about having Jimmy around, fur, mud, and all. . A little bit of romance and humor is something we could all use these days, so be sure to order your gorgeous copy of Fangs, release date September 1, 2020. I received a free electronic copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

very fast read

It’s cute but it’s not so much a story as a series of unconnected vignettes comics in the life of a vampire and werewolf couple. I think I read the whole thing in under ten minutes but they were a perfectly well spent and pleasant ten minutes. Cute and a little saccharine.

An Adorable Unlikely Couple!

I've seen many panels from this comic online over the years and I'm so glad that the author has put together an entire book of the comic, these two are absolutely adorable! They affectionately call each other by their species, the hang out at night, ask consent, and sometimes plan a very normal future where they get married in a burning church and have babies - for dinner! Sounds like the romcom we need in these times. I would highly recommend this story to everyone, and have already introduced it to my sister. I'm so glad I got to read an ARC of this book, good luck to the author and all her stories! *Thank you to the publishers; Andrews McMeel Publishing, and the author; Sarah Andersen, for my free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

On the Horizon

Ahoy there me mateys! Okay so Andrews McMeel Publishing makes me happy again. I loved loading penguin hugs and book love. I also love author and illustrator Sarah Anderson's work. This newest book follows the unusual love story between a vampire and a werewolf. It goes from their first date to later on in their established relationship. The First Mate and I read this one together and had such a great time. At times it be snarky, sweet, clever, and yet always amusing. I loved this and highly recommend it to the crew. Arrr! I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for me honest musings!

Loved from beginning to end...

Fangs is a graphic novel that revolves around an everyday not so “usual” relationship between Elsie, a vampire and Jimmy, a werewolf. I absolutely loved this graphic novel from beginning to end. There were multiple times I laughed out loud and finally my husband was so curious that we ended up reading it together. The humor throughout was right up my alley. It was such a fun read and I would definitely recommend it! I want to thank NetGalley, the author and publisher for the e-ARC of this graphic novel. Opinions expressed in this review are honest, my own and left voluntarily.

SO Adorable!

This was SO adorable! I usually love Sarah Andersen's books and this one was no exception! The comics are cute with punny punch lines. The cheese was piled rather high but that was of no concern to me. The artwork is cutesy and simple which I recognize as Sarah's work. It was a really cute book with adorable situations and quite a few memorable moments. If you're looking for a book to pass the time and be entertained by this is the book for you! * I received a free eARC from the publisher via Netgalley. Everything in this review is my honest opinion.

Spooky and tender

I absolutely adore Sarah Anderson's comics, and I'd seen some of her "Fangs" comics floating around on the internet. I'm so glad that they're going to be all in one spot, because they are a treat! "Fangs" is a graphic novel about the relationship between Elsie, a vampire, and Jimmy, a werewolf. The art is BEAUTIFUL, and I love the various little details in every comic. I stared at some of the illustrations for a while just admiring them. This is more a slice of life showing the daily lives of Elsie and Jimmy, but it's creative and touching. My only complaint is I just wish it had been a little bit longer because I didn't want it to end. This would make a wonderful year round gift for someone who loves the paranormal, or a Halloween treat for anyone. :)

If monster themed dad jokes are your thing, you may love this book. Otherwise, mileage may vary.

A hackneyed story of a vampire and werewolf falling in love. Andersen makes jokes of the guy acting like a dog (because he's a werewolf, get it?) while the vampire girl makes jokes about her exes sucking. If monster themed dad jokes are your thing, you'll probably love this book. Otherwise, mileage may vary.

Werewolf + Vamp Love Story? I'm IN!!!!

This was a bit of a change in terms or artistic style from the author of Sarah’s Scribbles. Now, fuse that charm with the adorable relationship dynamics of Catana Comics, add a werewolf-vampire love story, & you’ve got fangs. If you, like me, enjoy vampires, werewolves, web comics, lovey-doves vignettes, and/or goth girls (and the werewolf boyfriend is definitely cute too!) then you are the ideal reader for this book. I will likely buy a hard copy when it comes out and it’s definitely going to be a gift for someone at some point. Fun little read.
