This was a very fun read. The connection between Marcus and Riley was lovely and grew more and more hot as it deepened. I really enjoyed Riley's relationship with his smart and sassy Mom and the entire Cameron family dynamic. I expected the Jefferson Edwards storyline but the rest came as a wonderful surprise. As with anything I have ever read of Keira Marcos the level of detail in both plot and character made this story a joy to read and I imagine, to revisit in the future. The fact that it is book 1 in the Law of the Pack series is fantastic and I look forward to seeing where she plans on focusing the next book given that there are so many areas of interest.

It's always a delight when you discover a wonderful written fan fiction writer has an actual book out and this was so worth the price. I love the characters of Dr. Riley Blake and Sheriff Marcus Cameron. Marcus and his family definitely keep things interesting. Plus the fact Marcus and his family werewolves just makes things that much sweeter. Especially when Riley's evil ex just won't take No for an answer.

The author explained away any and all inconveniences to a point where the world she's created is sterile or without surprise. Even the main characters' queerness was met with an unrealistic acceptance, especially considering the small town setting. All of the characters seem to know what the author knows, there's nothing hidden or secret amongst anyone.

This book is responsible for me being a little slow today. Last night, before I went to bed I decided to read ONE chapter. That turned into two and then three and suddenly it was almost 3AM and it was the LAST chapter so I of course finished the book. The interaction between all of the characters, even the minor characters was wonderful, all of the characters were very well developed and felt like I could claim them as new friends. I like other reviewers was thrilled to see this listed as the first of a series because I want to know what happens to the other characters, does Kayla manage to marry off Jared, does Riley manage to marry off his mom? Who will get together next? I guess I'll just have to wait to find out.

I pre-ordered this book just based off of Keira's previous fan-fiction writing, she is an excellent writer. I honestly pre-loaded this onto my android 2in1 to read while I waited on laundry at a laundromat. (Yes I have no shame) I started reading it and 2 1/2 hours later (one trip back home from laundry being done) and I was double checking to make sure that it had loaded properly...Loved it, I look forward to more, and I recommend Keira's writing to anyone looking for a good read. The characters are nicely developed and both of the main characters grow thru out. I look forward to learning more about the town, the Cameron pack, and the shifter world Keira has created.

I adore this new world that Keira Marcos has created. The characters are very relateable. I can see myself walking down the street of this town. I loved seeing Marcus and Riley together. Their chemistry was amazing

I adore her immersive fanfics and have been reading her works for years. . . so I'm fully excited that she's now out and about having her original works published. At no point did it feel like one of those tropes where one character must be weaker in personality to the other. it was a refreshing change of pace in a werewolf romance where uneven power dynamics are usually so blatant that I don't even bother to roll my eyes anymore when I come across it. This was a great read, and I'm hoping the author gives us more of this series!

I have read this book probably ten or more times. The author's description of this world makes me wish I could live in this town. With all its quirky residents. You have a sassy doctor and the hot sheriff with his family up all in his business. All I can really say is this. When I want to forget about the real world, this one of books that I disappear in.

This is a sweet but also very explicit romance novel. I enjoyed the story telling but believe the big conflict the entire novel revolves around got resolved entirely too easy and quickly at the end.

Utterly delightful. The main characters are not only believable, real, and also incredibly amusing at every turn, but utterly sexy. And don't even get me started on the secondary characters - there are no 'background characters' in this book! Everyone is fleshed out and given their own little niche, until I believe that author could easily write a story for each of them (and maybe already has, even if it's not written down anywhere). Watching these two come together was like eating a perfect chocolate dessert: decadent, delicious, rather funny when you realize you have frosting on your nose, and always subtly sexual.

Well-written, engaging. Interesting characters. Great read. Solid opening for a series. Keeping an eye out for more from this author.

I loved this from word one. Sassy doctor meets sexy sheriff who just happens to also be a werewolf. I sat down and read it in one fell swoop. I'd love to read more of this fun town in Maine with the great diner, wonderful families, and people more than willing to text a co**blocker on his bad behavior. I'm glad it says Book 1, that means I have more to look forward to.

A lovely and gentle romance full of mutual respect, unabashed attraction, and honesty. My favorite thing in a Keira Marcos tale is that the conflict and tension are from outside sources and that the pairing, once established, presents a united front.

Is it weird today that I love the family interaction in this story? The story is phenomenal but it is Keira Marcos' characters that get me every time. They make me want to know more about them. My head is so full of all the different possibilities and I love a story that makes me interested in every last person. Thank you Keira.

Fantastic read. The relationship between the main characters developed beautifully. Their relationships with their families and the interaction with each others families was so so good. Finding a partner who meets your emotional, mental and physical needs is difficult; finding someone who shares and values the enjoyment in and commitment to family in the same way is almost impossible. The writing made everything so believably real. Thankfully, this book is marked as the first in a series, because the secondary characters (family members to feral wolves) were a large part of what makes this book work so well and spending more time with them would be great.

This is a very good shifter book. Really good main characters and excellent secondary characters. The story line was interesting without being over the top. It had humor with a side of drama. I can't wait for book two. I'm definitely a fan

The only thing I'm sad about is that I'm done reading it...so I'll go and read it again. The character development is so good that I fell in love with them immediately, I got angry at the people they were angry with, etc. The sass and snark flying around throughout the story was perfect, the dialogue very enjoyable, and the sex scenes very, very hot. No one part overshadowed the other, making for a great read.

I've read much of Keira's fan fiction and read parts of this during a writing challenge. It was great! I would've liked to see Marcus take out Jeff to protect Riley, but it was great just the same. I look forward to seeing more.

Lovely read. The relationship between Marcus and Riley develops beautifully and is very hot once they become lovers. The relationships of both men to family, pack and townspeople are wonderful. Great love story set in a wonderfully quirky town.

It was nice to see see a stalker with an ulterior motive. Not just one dimensional I want you, but I'm unbalanced; There were actual motivations in the stalking, although the rescue was fairly predictable for this type of book. Even with the violence and staking the author managed to maintain some nice humor in the developing relationship.

Likeable characters, decent plot and a town/people you'd like to see again. A few outstanding questions that I'd like to see answered in the next book.

Keira Marcos is a wonderful writer. This story lives up to my expectations of her writing, giving a witty, sassy, smart story about two men falling in love. The quirky behavior of their families and friends just add to the tapestry she has created.

I can't believe I forgot to review this when I first read it. I hope me finally reviewing makes up for that. I love the way you create amazing characters and how you write such wonderful dialogue and scenes for them.

Good built up but anti-climatic finish. Throughout the book, there is a dangerous character lurking in the background and the threat of violence grew progressively as the antagonist's verbal abuse escalated. When the attack finally happened, it took a secondary character only a couple of meneuvers to neutralize the attacker. Two paragraphs were all it took to described what should have been the climax of the book. There was no heart stopping fight, no big showdown between hero and villan. In fact, the 'hero' only showed up after the end of the attack. So the finish was extremely disappointing. I did still enjoy the book because there is no fabricated melodrama by MCs who either behave like whiny teenagers or over-reacting neantherdals. Just a story of 2 mature, communicative adults getting to know each other and falling in love. All the other characters in the book are perfectly likeable as well and I will probably pick up the next book to read more about them Having said that, I do find the pricing of the book at almost AUD6 excessive. The book is less than 200 page in length. On top of that, this is the first book of a series so a lot of its words were not story telling but essentially world building - explaining the werewolf lore and the creatures' place in our world. So at the end of it, I did feel massively short-changed.

I've been a fan of this author's fanfic for years. Happy to have more writing from her, fanfic or original.

I read this book in one go. I didn't want to put it down. I truly enjoyed the characters and the insight into them. Now I just to learn more about them like Riley's sister Gillian, Jarod and Gabriel. Will they get their stories told? I hope so.

As is typical of any story written by Kiera Marcos, the characters are well rounded and complex, her world-building rich and vibrant and the sex, hot! This is a fantastic introduction to Riley, Marcus and the eccentric but lovable residents of Kent. I literally can not wait to get to know them better.

Good basic supernatural romance kind of jumps to the end fast. Overall, will read book 2 when it comes out.

This is a fantastic book but it appeals to only 1 type of genera, slash. If you know what that means then you know if you do or don’t like it. If you don’t know what slash is get the definition first. The characters are well developed the town feels as if you know everyone. While could only check on option for mood it is certainly light-hearted as well. I loved it from the cover to the last sentence. The only part I didn’t like was THE END. This is an author I have been reading for a long time. I was anxiously waiting for her first book and was not disappointed. The fact I want to show my love for her work so much I am buying 2 more books.

I liked it.

Slightly short but enjoyable with a fast pace. The world building is well designed and I enjoyed the characters and their interactions a great deal. You can tell there are a couple of issues important to the author within the story but they don't disrupt the flow of the story.

I love this author's fan work, which is how I found out about this book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading most of this book, but there were a couple of things that stuck out negatively. Exposition, much of the time, seems shoehorned in. The author seems to prefer giving exposition through the characters discussing their lives with each other, but it ends up coming off unnatural. I found myself thinking multiple times, "Why would anyone tell that to someone they just met?" Some of it was a complete jump in topic just to get some bit of history in. This is something that I've found consistent through most of the work I've read by her, and I was kind of expecting it. My biggest issue with this book is the climax. Or lack thereof. It's pretty clear throughout the whole book what it's gearing up towards but when it happens, it's half a page of a barely there fight scene that the main character sleeps most of the way through. And that's it. Book's over. Typos. Every single book will have them, so this isn't such a big deal, but it reminded me of work you'd read for free online. There were more than I'd expect in a book you're expected to pay for. I'm still giving this four stars because I really liked the characters, I liked their relationship, and I think the author writes very well (especially the intimate scenes). Had the climax and plot been stronger I wouldn't hesitate to give it five stars. I will probably buy the next one the day it comes out, like I did this one.

So made of win! I have followed Kiera for years and read this while it was in-progress on RoughTrade. I throughly enjoyed finally finishing this book.

The story and pacing were both very well written. However, reading the story for free on a website is one thing, but paying for it is another. It looks like the story was ported over directly from Rough Trade with all the same typos. I would have expected a once over from an editor before publishing. I would buy the next one in this series if it is continued, but if you are bothered with typos then you may want to skip this.

Keira Marcos crafts well-plotted, entertaining stories. The only problem I have with her writing is that it always leaves me wanting more!

I feel bad for the author, who probably relied on her editors to polish the book before publication. That is, after all, what editors are supposed to do. There were far too many typos in this book to justify the price.

Excellent way to spend a rainy afternoon. Riley and Marcus are charming, strong men who form a wonderful connection amidst a unique and funny town, family and pack. Very little angst - thank you, Ms. Marcos! - and no contrived and complicated emotional scenarios. Just fun and falling in love. I really enjoyed this story, a first read of this author's work. If all her books are as appealing as this, I look forward to a lot of stormy days this fall. Comparable authors: BG Thomas, Cardeno C, Mary Calmes.

I realise that there is a lot of were fiction available, but I highly recommend this story as the author is exceptional at characterisation as well as at writing hot, believable relationships. Other characters apart from the central couple feel well rounded and not like walk-ons. I especially liked the way people actually talked to each other about what was going on and in particular Riley didn't fanny about trying to pretend that he did not have a problem or resist calling in the authorities. Both of those tropes are rather too common and get pretty boring. Much better to have good communication and characters who will ask for help when they need it. I very much look forward to reading more in this series and can see several hints of where future plot developments might emerge. At the same time nothing crucial has been left hanging, so readers can buy without fear of being left in limbo.

I have been reading Keira Marcos fan fiction for years and was really excited to see an original novel. I was not disappointed, she steered away from any fandom repackaged ( something I've seen time and again) and wrote a great read. I loved the characters, the little differences in shifter lore, and I am eagerly awaiting the next book.

A beautiful romance, great strong characters that are well written. I want to move into their world it feels so real. I love that both the main characters are still men even though they're gay. Keira didn't feminise them and give us a weeping damsel in distress story. Will definitely be reading more of these when Keira writes them. Can't recommend more.

This is the first and only story of this author I read, and it was an entirely pleasant experience. I fully enjoyed the writing style: vivid scenes full of life and motion captured in short, clear sentences. The mix between everyday events, complications, surprises, threats, funny and very sensual moments is well balanced. The story is not being dragged on with irrelevant artistry or angsty ballast. The background story of the origin and characteristics of the shape shifters is also not bad. I was pleasantly surprised with the main characters: intelligent, educated and witty, young but experienced, they know what they want and are not afraid to profess their desires without dancing around the bush. Two refreshingly modern young guys I could identify with: No fear of communication thus no misunderstandings, not modest or shy but also not overly arrogant, open minded, kind hearted but not maudlin, equipped with a healthy sexuality and the suitable sensuality. I would love to read more stories from this pack when more of its members should be gay. Recommended!

I'm a devout Keira-fan and this story was just one more in a long line of all-time favourites. Thanks Keira, for writing such an awesome story! It had a good mix of plot and sexy romance, something which I've come to appreciate a lot in your stories. The only thing that could have possibly made this story even better is if it had been longer. I'm also two minds about the Jefferson issue - on the one hand, I really liked that this story was mostly really light and happy because that is just perfect sometimes, but a little bit more direct confrontation between them and thus a tiny bit more drama would also have been good. Still, this is definitely a 5/5, because I loved it, and I'm gonna read it again :)

Die Charaktere sind liebenswert, glaubwürdig und quirky gestaltet bis in die kleinen Nebenfiguren und die Handlung bringt gerade genug Drama um stets spannend zu sein, ohne dabei ins Absurde abzurutschen. Garniert wird das Ganze mit einer sexy Lovestory - prüden Lesern würe ich von diesem Titel abraten - allen anderen empfehle ich eine Lektüre im Privaten, kein Grund sich den Spaß zu verderben ;-) Ich hoffe inständig auf eine Fortsetzung!

I loved that book. Same thing that I always love with Keira's stories: the characters are direct and frank and don't beat around the bush for twenty chapters. It's such a nice change of pace, not to have dithering, twittering indecisive starry-eyed fifteen something girl/boy. And the whole shifter culture was very well handled. Werewolf stories have been done and overdone and we all know the basics. This too care of explaining without going into outlandish details to try and be original, while still giving hints of particulars that makes you think about it from another point of view, the shifters'.

Another amazing story. I’ve been reading Keira’s fanfic for years and this book like the rest of her work will be added to my read again pile. Which is something I can’t say that for many authors.

Keira is one of the best, whether here or in her fandoms. Writes with a very natural flow throughout all.

....just lovely. the setup is great, with the potential for a wonderful series of books. the introduced characters are vivid and likable. i like the "feel" of the town and its people. i can't wait to learn more about this universe and see which of the hinted at possibilities will be seen in the next book. will there be more about the brothers? or one of the ladies? some new wolfs to join the pack? will more about the backstories of some of the sidecharacters be revealed? so many possibilities...

I'm a fan of Keira Marcos' work. I love this book and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series. It's a werewolf story with an interesting twist and I love the characters, even the villain is not just evil, he's evil for a resaon.

Ich fand Fall for You einfach klasse. Der Schreibstil war, wie bei Keira Marcos nicht anders zu erwarten, Super. Das Buch lässt sich flüssig runter lesen und hat mich so gefesselt, das ich es nicht wieder aus der Hand gelegt habe bis ich es durch hatte.

Enjoyable, sassy characters make a somewhat predictable plot lots of fun. Keira Marcos again creates a compelling story-verse, that just draws you in. Would read a sequel.

Humorous, sexy and passionate are the best words to describe this story. The characters and plot line are very well thought out and it is a pleasure to read.

I read it in one go, like always with Keira Marcos' stories. No extra angst, well written.
