Slave trade wiped from history
Not a mention, let alone a section, on the slave trade!? Apart from the egregious moral skipping of an inconvenient truth, how can the histories of both Americas, let alone Africa and Europe, be written without it? Most schools teach it, making the omission more glaring. The book is disqualified as a teaching aid.
Easy book to follow.
This is an easy to use book. It definitely is coming from a non Christian perspective so don't be alarmed when you open the book and it states humans developed from apes, theory of evolution and much more. It does highlight main topics per Era, but obviously isn't able to go over everything. There is a question with answer portion after each chapter. This book could benefit from a supported workbook. I homeschool 3 kids from grades 4th to 7th and they seem to like the book, however I don't believe in the Theory of Evolution so I tread lightly in that area and discuss other scientific evidence that shows other theories.
She is homeschooled and learns easily but gets bogged down sometimes by curricula and regular ...
My 7th grade daughter absolutely loves this whole series and so do I! She is homeschooled and learns easily but gets bogged down sometimes by curricula and regular textbooks. These study guides have been a great way for her to learn the important information and retain it. We currently use the entire series as her "spine" for learning after using a plethora of curricula choices (online, classical, unit studies, you name it) in the past. She reads the chapter as an intro, then we research in other sources as needed (sometimes completing additional projects as well) and then she completes the quiz at the end of the chapter. We use the Math book along with ALEKS online math but the other books are a great scope & sequence for middle school students along with a few other supplemental materials. Her standardized test scores have increased drastically since we bought these books last fall, yet she feels like she's in control of her education and able to dive in deeper to the subjects as she wants/needs as part of our interest driven educational philosophy.
First chapter just theory
I only gave this book three stars because the first chapter is useless. When will we wake up to the FACT that evolution is only a THEORY. Let's teach our students what we actually know to be fact and discard the rest or at least possess enough integrity to teach it as a possible theory. Guess I should have looked into the book before buying (We love the MATH of this series) instead of assuming it was acceptable in terms of actual history condensed into a readable volume.
Slanted Marxist view of modern history
A weird, deliberately post-modernist take on 20th century history. Seems like benign oversight at first - but becomes clear that there is a strange marxist/collectivist, quasi-anti semitic theme running through the book. Leaves out almost every horror of communism in Russia, China and other nations. The book presents communism as just another acceptable form of government. No mention of the systematic torture, starvation and enslavement of the population. Also - odd description of the middle east conflict that does not mention at all the rejection of a proposed Palestinian state during the formation of state of Israel in 1948. Just describes Israel as a "Jewish state taking control" of Arab land. As if Jews came in and just took over. I guess thats one way to look at it if you want to ignore inconvenient facts. Also - super weird - describes the WWII holocaust in a way that makes it seem that Nazi's persecuted lots of people - some of which just happened to be Jews. In fact, when the book gives a description of identification badges Nazis made people wear - it first lists 8 variously colored symbols (from "foreign prisoners" to "Jehova's Witnesses") before listing the yellow star of David Jews were forced to wear, almost as an afterthought. From reading this, a kid would not even realize that the Nazi's systematically hunted down and killed 2/3 of european jews. So - if you want a book that lists facts in such a way as to create a misleading narrative - this is the book for you and your kid.
love Love love!!!
So I teach six grade social studies, which is world history And I absolutely love this book. The visuals are great and the reading is easy to understand. It is written at a level that adults and children alike can enjoy. I would highly recommend this for a student that is struggling with history or someone that enjoys reading and learning more about history. It’s an absolutely great resource to have in my classroom and I think it would be wonderful for anyone who loves history!
Great learning book!
Awesome book! Makes learning fun! I’m not in middle school I’m an adult pursuing my history degree but the information is very accuract and fun to read.
History never looked so attractive
This book is bigger than I imagined. (Like most people I tend to forget to look at size dimensions when ordering) However, it’s great size and actually a very attractive book. I think my teen will enjoy using it for her homeschool studies. We just received this so I’m not positive on how effective it will be in teaching but from other reviews, I’m hopeful. I did notice that this book ends with 2015 so anything beyond that will need to be learned else where. I hope this is helpful to another. Happy learning!
Great books for homeschooling!
I home school two boys and friends and family are always asking how I know what to teach my kids. It cracks me up, but now I can say I have a guide that tells me everything they need to know for middle school according to Common Core. We officially don't follow Common Core in Texas, but in reality the schools teach it since the kids have to take standardized tests that follow it. These guides are great! I read them to my 4th and 6th graders and then supplement with YouTube/history channel/etc videos and books with photos. It is nice to know that I am covering at least the minimum they need in case they ever have to go to public schools. God forbid. ;-) I think these books explain things well and I like the questions at the end of each chapter. These are really a great resource for homeschooling. I personally am not a fan of paying big money for curriculum, so these books are a valuable and affordable resource.
Definitely a secular view
Super dissatisfied with a very staunch secular view of Creation and evolution (which is just a theory by the way). We read it to be informed but believe the Biblical account of creation.

Whether you use it a curriculum or extra help, these books are great for middle-schoolers and their parents.
Every home schooler or public school should have this resource. Great for teaching and reviewing the core ideas. Whether you use it a curriculum or extra help, these books are great for middle-schoolers and their parents who have probably forgotten a lot since they graduated. The layout is both fun and engaging as well as draws your eyes to prime ideas and concepts.
Has many terrible aspects, would not recommend getting it
This book has many terrible aspects. One of the terrible aspects is its lack of information when it comes to Rome. I was going to give this to my niece as a birthday gift since she is currently taking world history, and is currently learning about Rome. I went over the chapter about Rome and the amount of information that it left out shocked me. I personally help her with homework at times and this book has nowhere near enough information in order to help her succeed in the unit she is currently in. Yet another terrible aspect of this book is that it never mentions the slave trade. Though the topic is controversial, children should still be able to learn about its many wrongs so as to not repeat such dreadful actions in the future.
Good overview
In general, this book provides an easily accessible overview of world history and may be useful for reluctant readers. I found what seems to be a confusing mnemonic device on page 40. The order of the civilizations presented on page 40 does not correspond with the sequence of the dates listed for the first civilizations of Mesopotamia earlier in the chapter.
Did women even exist?
A biased view of history slanted dramatically toward men. Reading this, you would think women didn't even exist in historical times. Equal representation for general books like this is obviously important. Both men and women were an integral part of history, and let's educate our youth on the truth. If a general education history book for youth showcased 99% women and left out men's contribution, you'd never hear the end of it. But because it's women omitted (as usual), people hardly even notice.
Incredible series of core knowledge books
This is a terrific book for world history beginners of any age. Besides having very readable and concise text, the drawings and maps are outrageous. This book uses a middle school curriculum. All of the major civilizations are looked at in depth and the book also gives a good overview of later events like the French Revolution and the 2 world wars. Some things are missing like the Persian-Greek Wars, Hannibal's battles with Rome, and the Barbarian conflicts with Rome. You can fill in those gaps in other places, like the Idiot's Guide to World History or a Short History of the World by Chris Lasceilles. Overall this is a sensational and really enjoyable book, a "don't skip this" sort of thing. If you choose another book, buy this one too. At under $10, it's so,so affordable.
Great Book Series - Bad Shipping/Condition of book
Let me start off saying that I love this book series. I am a visual learner and I love the way these books are laid out and the funky notebook look of the doodles and cover. I like that this are a cliff's notes type version of the important take-aways that students need in a particular subject. I purchased the science one a couple years ago to use as a resource in the classroom. I just purchase the ELA, US History, and World History for my son. Great for digestable bits of information. As for the condition of the book when I got it... it was not what I have come to expect from Amazon Prime items. I received the 3 books in a standard manila orange/yellow envelope. this book was stacked above the other two. It would be a fine book if I had purchase a USED copy of the book, but this was listed as NEW. The corner is torn/worn, there appears to be water damage and page crinkling throughout the second half of the book, and the back cover is bent.
Great books
We got these books (the whole set) to use as part of my daughter's homeschool curriculum this year. I was surprised by the breadth of information covered. It is sort of a review of lots of things, but in enough depth that if this is your primary source (rather than a review), you will still come away with a pretty decent understanding of the material. I like that each chapter includes review questions. I would highly recommend! My daughter enjoys the format. They are written in a fun, engaging style with doodles and illustrations.
Good book
Not a big fan of the first chapter trying to tell my kid that the earth is billions of years old, other then that it is a good book. Bought the rest of the set.
Nice snap shot of the worlds timeline
I highly recommend this book. I home school my 13 year old son and this book is a great snap shot of the world timeline. It is not a training book that goes into great detail. Instead it covers just what it needs to cover so a child or anyone for that matter can have a foundation understanding of each event. I will say that it does follow suit like most books on history and in the most subtle ways over shadows and omits history in regards to black people contributions and which people and civilizations were black. Then again that is not the scope of this book hence why I still gave it 5 stars. A great teaching tool to be combined with videos on YouTube as well as research done on the parents part in regards to each event in history to give the child a completely balanced learning experience on all people, places and things written in the book. Excellent!
Parents be ware!...Improper reference to before Christ!....
Opened to page 1 & it states BCE & CE! Not before Christ as in BC! NOOOOO THEY SAY before Commom Erav& Common Era! ....WTH is that Bullshiggity! Mess! Doesnt look like I'll be giving this one to my grandaughter! Can't very part page 1!
Great book, buy this for your child - easy to understand for all middle school grades
Great book. Attractive enough to make you want to pick it up and read it. The graphics are colorful, the font is clear, and the highlights and titles are in bold print. Chapters are color coded. Check Your Knowledge questions and answer page included. Contents list all the units and it's coverage. What makes this book stand out from all the others is that it includes all the important information broken down in easy to understand text and simple to read maps. It's all you need to know and that's it. There are a total of 5 subjects in this series: they include Math, Science, English Language Arts, World History, American History in the series and we have all of them. This is definitely worth the investment. Parents will find this book and series simple to explain to your child and/or read with them. Nothing complicated. Buy this book and the others in the series. I highly recommend it.
Five Stars
The kids love it and has amazing colorful highlighted pages. Truly enjoy the book and the thickness of it.
Very informative read, less true using Kindle for iOS
I don’t know much about history. As a math and science teacher, I am without excuse. It’s time to stop being lazy and learn at least what middle schoolers know. But no opinions or fluffy storytelling please. Just the facts. Then I find this book and WOW! Everything right there in one place - easy to read, concise and well organized by time and region. But many images were distorted and it looked like some were even missing on Kindle for iPad. Same with Kindle for iPhone. Kindle app and OS are current as of June 2020. Tested Kindle on Mac and PC with no issues there at all. You can see that a lot of helpful information is lost due to this problem. I’d still highly recommend this book, but less so if you only have an Apple iOS device. You’ll need a computer to see everything.
Upside Down!
I bought a set of these books and they are really good. However, the World History one was bound completely upside down to the main cover. Irratating as you have to turn the book upside down to read it. I tried to get in touch with Amazon customer service, but was just looped around in a virtual help center - - so I guess I'm stuck with a defective book now. Not Happy. EDIT: I did manage to get through to Customer Service and the agent was very helpful. I was offered a refund. Thank you Amazon!
Must have for all MS teachers
Whether you are a first year teacher or veteran, this is a must have! I’m a first year. I bought myself a copy, and check myself every unit to make sure I am covering the necessities. My coworker is a veteran teacher in another subject and bought this as well (this school year). She has a class set for that the students to use the review question pages as assignments, and she uses the notebook to make sure she is consistent with her curriculum, covering the key aspects of everything, and even was reassured to find she is teaching above and beyond for some units. I have recommended this book to multiple teachers and I will not stop recommending it!
Everything You Need To Ace! The Title says it all! We love these books
I have purchased this book twice and I will be purchasing it again! As my children age into the grades for these books, I give them to them as an aid to their studies, and they keep them as a reference for the future. This is NOT a complete curriculum; however, it is a wonderful aid to the scholastic study of any subject. The colorfully detailed explanations hold even a short attention span, and the chapters are divided into easy to explore sections, with review questions on the important study material within.
Great addition to curriculum!! Concise & Easy to Read!
Love the way this book ... the layout, the fonts and the way they’ve boiled down the info. I’m a homeschool mom and we go over one chapter and I have him take the quiz at the end. My only criticism is that the answers aren’t separated in a way that I could tear them out. I cut out the quiz page, photocopy the said with the questions and keep the one with the answers for me. I hate to cut anything out of a book esp one as nice as this! I won’t even let that take away a star though because it’s just my personal opinion. I love how this condensed history into a non boring and completely manageable manor.
Must buy!
This is my favorite workbook series to use to help teach my son's homeschooling curriculum! He seems to really enjoy all of the books and the short chapters keep him engaged and not feeling overwhelmed. He's even gotten to where he will work on his subjects on his own, then we go over his answers together. Each book has fun illistrations, tips, and answer key. Very easy to read, follow, and retain info being taught. I love the organization of the books as well. Couldn't be happier! Great quality and very educational!
Truth is covered up in this book
We bought this book to help the kid open her mind. We were astonished to see opium and tea were put together as if they were BOTH common merchandise. The author did not mention about silk which I don't know why. Making opium a common merchandise as tea does not make the history different. This book is trying to close kids' mind by covering up the truth in history.
Perfect!
This book is exactly what I was hoping for to catch my 8th grader up and review some stuff before high school! It touches a little bit on everything she needs. Little quizzes at the end of each chapter. Broken down into units. Easy to understand! She ENJOYS learning with these books! We ordered all of the books in this series and it seriously covers EVERYTHING she needs to know.
A Gift for a Middle School Student
I just got this from Amazon, a gift for a young man who shares my love of history. I bought him the movies, "Tora, Tora, Tora" and "Valkyerie" so that he can see good movies that are very accurate in reporting events that changed history for the world. I think he'll enjoy the book and movies and we'll have lots of discussion on all 3 items. This book looks to be very well organized and thorough in many areas of history.
I even like reading it
I bought this for my 12 year old daughter who was just starting middle school. She loves history and this is very age appropriate. I even like reading it! It has little cartoons inside and short quizzes to make sure you remember what you just read. I do not have a degree in history, so there could be mistakes in it and I would never know, but I wouldn't know history mistakes in any other book either. (Ha!) I highly recommend it.
Leaves out very important details
I suppose what is important to one person is not to another. History changes as we all know. For the most part, this little book includes the major historical events and people, and I didn't expect it to be an absolute replacement for the large school books. It's okay. I like the math version of this book much better (Everything You Need to Ace Math in One Book). That one seems to be more inclusive.
Visually creative and stimulating book for reviewing World History for students
Nice book. Visually stimulating and creatively written and designed. This is the first of this series that I've ordered (for my junior high school son). I think perhaps I enjoyed reading it more than he did. But ... it did get him to review World History a bit more than he otherwise would have ... and his elementary school sister was also interested. Would recommend.
Love this book series
Love this book series!!! It is great for homeschooling! The book provides enough detail without losing the attention of the reader and getting overwhelmed with to much information!
LOVE LOVE LOVE
LOVE LOVE LOVE. This is exactly what I needed. I needed something that would give me a basis for history study. I read a chapter to my daughter a day and we dig deeper off that through google or youtube videos on each chapter. Its fantastic
Homeschool mom, you NEED this whole series.
Cannot day enough about this series! It is not just perfect for middle schoolers. I’m using it for a sophomore as well. It’s that graphic novel type that grabs their attention and makes the most mundane tolerable. Outstanding!
Great for Teens
My son recently started middle school and this book was recommended to him (and other students) by his teacher. It's a great, easy to read option for kids who are struggling in History or just want to know more about it! Can be used to improve grades or understanding or knowledge on the subject. I would recommend this book and the entire series.
Starts with Evolution
If you are a Christian, keep on moving. Enough said.
Excellent for Homeschooling
I'm using this to assist me in homeschooling my son. The writing is excellent, and the questions at the end of every chapter are very well-structured.
Great informative book.
This is a great book to make your kids use at home to complement the class syllabus and to help them understand any subjects they are having difficulty with at school. I use it on a daily basis with my son. The layout makes it interesting and my son does not feel like he is being punished when he uses it at home.
Great books
My daughter is in six grade and she uses these for every subject to learn. They have helped her so much. I am so glad I got them for her. They are also bright in color and the font is like its hand written on several of the paragraphs. In all ever single one of these books are amazing and I 100% recommend them
Great book to have
Great books! My kid hasn't taken the time to look at them yet, but they have some amazing information in them. Recommend it even for adults who want to catch up on their forgotten school learning. It makes everything very easy.
Great for homeschoolers
My family loved the first book of this series so much, we bought them all. They are visually appealing books, loaded with difficult concepts, broken down into easily digestible nuggets of information. We homeschool our elementary age son and know these books can help him for many years to come.
Homeschool, special needs, these work !
Homeschooling my 14 yr old son who has a learning disability ..these books are perfect for him...easy to read...questions at the end of each chapter and a answer key ...i personally enjoy these books ..we have all of them ..i am learning from them as well.
Great series and very helpful!
I found this book to be extremely informative, as well as useful. It has everything I'm learning about and/or everything I will be learning about throughout middle school. It has the whole nine yards! From the first humans to global security and major world events of today. It is also very colorful, with timelines, definitions, and even mini tests at the end of each chapter.I strongly recommend you try this book out and additionally purchase other books from the series.
I didn't get much of a chance to look over the books. I ordered most of the series.
I gave them immediately to my twin grandchildren who are entering 7th grade this year. Because of the schedule they will have with 2 days in person classes and 3 days of elearning, I am hoping the books might help fill in the gaps. But that of course will depend on the kids actually taking the time to read them. Sadly, because of video games and phone time they are given by their parents I''m not too hopeful they will ever crack them open.
Love! Love! Love!
I love these books so much I purchased all of them. I will say if you are purchasing these for your kids the History Notebook is a bit raunchy. You might have to do a little explaining. Other than that l, these books are a great help/addition to any kid who is needs or not.
Must buy!
This book is AWESOME! So much info packed into a fun to read and easy to understand book. I bought the whole set for Christmas and my son is loving them. I think they will be a well used reference book for all my kids over the next few years. Highly recommend!
You'll love this, you need this
Although I think that this might be great by itself for history, we used this in addition to, for our homeschool world history. It's understandable for the children and I really love the questions that it has for each reading. Super helpful!
Teacher Recommended
Purchased this because a interview candidate recommended as being used for struggling students. After getting it, I think it is great. It is printed to look like it is a students notebook. It touches on the most important things, but doesn't overwhelm with detail.
worth getting or acquiring to help the little ones
I bought these to assist my Granddaughter with her lessons of ahead of schedule. Just for the money wortth, I asked my daughters do they remember any of this and they assured me that what I have now is really interesting and they did not get much from the classroom.
EH...
not exactly what I was hoping for, but dealing with it! These books (bought all 5) definitely don't cover enough ground (especially math) on the topics, which made me end up having to do a lot of research and work anyways, and now their basically being used as paper weights :(
Perfect!
My little brother is autistic, naturally, he needs extra aid with classwork. I bought these to prep him as an incoming middle schooler and it just made me wishes I had these when I was younger! The book is amazingly explained, it provides key concepts that are covered in Middle school and provides exercises to test your knowledge, very graphic and illustrative and pleasant to the eye and the paper quality is great!
USEFUL, LOGICAL, PRACTICAL, and EASY!
My wife has been a teacher for over 20 years, and this year she changed to 8th grade history / geography. This book is an excellent guide and really covers the basics. What an amazing resource! HIGHLY recommended.
I bought all four of these books (World History, ...
I bought all four of these books (World History, US History, Science, and Math) for my family. I have them on our coffee table and my 11 year old son loves reading them.
Inventive format, but information leaves something to be desired
Great format. Cartoons were especially helpful. Liked that they included mnemonics, though most mnemonics were weak. Details on some less important events makes it more wordy than a true succinct overview.
Great for 10 year olds
My 10 year old loves this book! And it’s way cheaper on here than at Barnes and noble!
This Book is a Great Outline
I'm reading this with my sixth grader. When we finish it we are going to go back and study further the topics we've liked. It's a good outline for history and a good way to find which time periods/peoples you want to know more about.
Biased.
Doesn’t even mention BC. Only BCE. Not a word. So when students are wondering what BC is because they WILL SEE IT, they definitely won’t get the info they need from this author. He was sure to wipe it out from history. lol Teeny tiny page for the Israelites....
I love this series!
My teenage daughter - a somewhat reluctant student - asked me to homeschool her this summer. And lo and behold, she actually liked this series, and chose to work on them day after day! The colorful illustrations and fonts were much more appealing to her than a standard textbook.
Great text for homeschooling!
Comprehensive and Well-written. Accessible for middle schoolers (and and elementary). We are using this for homeschooling- 4th and 6th grades. It's more geared for later middle school age but it works great for us!
Perfect
We use this as the base for our home school. We use this to decide the topic and then find supplemental resources to add. It makes it quick and easy to create a curriculum that works for our family.
These books are amazing!
These books are amazing! Bought the world history, math, and science books for homeschool. They are engaging, easy to read, and really do have everything you need to know. My only complaint would be that the books looked a little worn from sitting in a warehouse and probably not treated the best during shipping, other than that I am very happy with them!
... copy for my granddaughter and it was such a good read that I bought one for myself
I purchased a copy for my granddaughter and it was such a good read that I bought one for myself. An easy read and gives good overviews. I highly recommend it.
False teaching
Although this book is very colorful and seems to be full of great information, the information is false! The first chapter teaches that we came from Apes!!! NOT intended for Christian homeschool. Returned!
Great for homeschool to figure out what to teach if you aren’t keen on boxed curricula.
These books are fantastic for an over-view to a homeschooling mom. It gives you a framework. I have the math, science English, and the US history. I'm not as keen on the English one but love the rest. Fantastic guides and colorful.
a great informative book to the testimony of my naps in my english class
I've discovered I must have been asleep during my English class because I missed a lot. If kids are really learning this the future is rosey, but I believe that they are sleeping, too.
Nice. Would recommend
Got this for our son. We haven't read all of it yet, but so far we do like the outline and layout of the book. It is very easy to read and understand and has lots of good info.

These are excellent books. Good for homeschooling with lots of info and the style / layout / format of the books is top notch. Doesn't require tons of reading to learn a topic and while there is still some fluff I can't recommend these enough. Easily my favorite homeschooling lesson books so far.
Great History Book
I was using this book in my history class until foreigners teaching history became illegal in the PRC. It's easy for advanced beginner L2 to understand and has many good questions for teaching critical thinking. I will be using this book to teach my son.
Not nearly as good as the American History Big Fat book!
The Big Fat book about Anerican History is ten times the better book than this one!! This is not written very well, and the illustrations are stupid!
Great Book-poor condition
I love this book, however, when it arrived, the edges of the cover were bent, has folds and stains on it. Kind of gross. Good read though.
Good basic information
Great easy to read book used to supplement our home school study. Organized for students that retain more information with bright graphic illustrations.
Check your pages
THis is the second time I’ve ordered this book. The pages are not cut in either book.
We love this series!
Kids Love looking through this book. We are collecting the set and they have definitely helped with school work or understanding concepts better.
It’s great for adults. too!
Honestly I bought this for myself. I’m in school to get my masters to teach history and this is a wonderful way to brush up on your history. It is such an easy read, too. Not boring at all. I highly recommend this for kids and adults alike. I also read the US history one from this brand. Great books.
Helpful Resource
Teaching World History next school year will be new. I already have the math middle school book and enjoy it. This will be a great resource for notes.
Easy to understand.
I homeschool and ordered all of these books. They are easy to understand. My kids can work on their own with these books.
Great Easy Read
I bought this for my daughter entering the 7th grade and she actually enjoys reading this book. Very informative and covers all important dates while leaving out the extra mumbo jumbo. Colorful pages and I actually caught myself reading quite a bit of it. Well worth the money for any extra help with school work.
History notes made easy
Love this little helper especially for those kids that have problems retaining information. Thank you, thank you.
Big Fat Book
These books can in perfect shape and very quickly. They can be great for general knowledge as well as studying for state teaching tests. However, it seemed like too much of the beginning of the book was evolution theory and not enough fact. I was hoping for more true history.
PERFECT
LOVE all of these books. Got the set for my kids (and I) for Christmas because we homeschool. Covers EVERYTHING so no matter what stage or age group your child is in - it’s in here!! Helps you to help them! Great job!!!
Excellent
This book is excellent! I was trying to find something that could be interesting for my 11 year old daughter. Something interesting enough to keep her engaged and knowledgeable. I have nothing negative to say about this. Fast shipping as well.
Great for any kid staying prepared
This product is great for any student to keep engaged during the Summer or long breaks to they do not lose what they have learned, or to prepare for the next year. We love this series.
great reference learning books
Just like the format of these books, almost like student notes with hand drawn pictures and things like that. It has questions and answers in each section to reinforce the ideas learned. These will be great reference books for the kids in elementary to jr. high school.
Awesome source!!
Going to use as primary for homeschool. Would much rather the kids get clear, conscience, than a lot of useless information. These series (bought them all) are colorful and fun to work with. The kids love them!
I knew as soon as I looked through this book that I had made an awesome purchase!
I knew as soon as I looked through this book that I had made an awesome purchase! It literally had the same exact subject matter that my daughter was studying in school. Very helpful!

Love these!
Ordered a few of these for my tween boys. Great information and will reference them often!
A light but fun read
A lighter read than I anticipated, but still very fun. Just know that it's a VERY high-level review of lots of history.
Amazin!
I homeschool my 5th grader and younger children. I bought world history because when it comes to history, I have no idea where to start and how to teach it. This book has make history fun, and my daughter actually loves it! After each chapter you have a "check your knowledge" page with 6-10 questions which will follow with an answer page. There's no need for extra quizzes and/or testing but i do make my own tests after each unit to check my daughter's knowledge and see if we can move on to the next unit. There's everything in here! from prehistory all the way to the internet age and current-ish events. Definitely getting the other books from this serie.
Love these books.
I absolutely love these books! I love the layout, the organization and colors. My child is Autistic as well as ADHD and it does hold her interest more the any other types of text books. Not a lot of unnecessary information which is the secret to learning. In her case anyway.
Love this! for anyone
Love this! for anyone, not just for kids. I also purchased English, Science & Math. They are well written and organized in a way easy for anyone to understand. Love them. Love them. Love Them!
Pages are stuck together
I can't really tell much about the book, because there are a number of pages that are not separated, so we are going trough the pain of carefully cutting the bottom. Disappointing for a new book.
Supplement for history class
Several of my daughter's friends recommended this book. My daughter uses this for her AP World History class. She says makes it easier to comprehend what she is learning in school.
