I’m so beyond words right now you guys. My heart, my head. My feels all around are a jumbled mess. I knew going in I was in trouble, But what I didn’t think, what I couldn’t have anticipated was how much more I was going to become invested in this series, in these characters, in their lives. I legit felt like I was at Dolar. I was in these scenes with them, almost like I’m one of them. Me...The character with no name, but she’s there in the background, in a room, in the cafeteria. Okay, but seriously!! Like that’s how good the writing is here, y’all. I felt every cut, hit, bruise and heartache, and devastating loss. Like in my heart!! ♥️ “The cruel irony is you are my forever but not my right now.”—Oliver Masters I really don’t want to give anything about this book away, it really would be a disservice to Nicole’s hard work, so I will just say… buckle up! Ollie and Mia’s journey is a bumpy ride. It’s full of twists, and turns and unexpected hills and dips. It’s far from over. This is only the second of three books. And I feel though we aren’t anywhere near the surface yet we are starting to see some light. If that make sense?!? There are secrets and lies and I can’t imagine what’s going to happen to them when some of these things come out. This book was crazy in that characters we loved in the first book absolutely shocked the doodle out of us this go round. Like total 180’s y’all. I was like who are you?!?! That’s how shocked you will be. Like mind blown kinda shock! (It was awesome) One thing I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE is this author is giving us so many glimpses of different types of mental illnesses in the different characters personalities. Mental illness doesn’t fit in a box, and I love that she is opening up awareness to that. She has crafted this amazing story that’s allowing her to bring much needed awareness to some real world issues while also telling and spectacular story. But she’s doing it so well as not to pull us into a pit of dispair by the sad things that do happen in the book, and yes there are some sad things. But the way it’s written, is to remind us and get us thinking. That’s the mark of her talent y’all! I look forward to not only this third book, but what she does in the future with other books. I especially can’t wait for the rest of My Ollie and my Mia. My eyes stayed glued to every word, a lump stuck in my through, and my heart pounding while I envisioned the turmoil that Mia and Ollie were going though. Ollie and Mia are the kind of love we read about when we were falling in love with romance reading Nicholas Sparks. The are endless... pure and all consuming. With a whole lot of chaos and madness. Ollie has lost himself to the medication that numbs him and takes away all those feelings that he feels "too deeply". Mia will fight for their love. Ollie once made her break down her walls and feel... now its her turn. Even it take a year. Even if she watches him cave into himself. She will stay. Even when I'm gone isn't just a love story. With a bit of mystery and drama this is a well rounded book from start to finish. When you fall in love and can't move on... don't say I didn't warn you. ‘Even When I’m Gone’ kicks us right back into the epic stories of Ollie and Mia. For seven months the two have been separated, Mia having no idea where Ollie is. When Ollie makes his return to Dolor, it’s not the heartwarming reunion that is hoped for. There are things happening that are working to keep Mia and Ollie apart. At the end of the day, they both know they love each other, but is their love enough? This book was gut-wrenching. This one is one that consumed me while I was reading it. Just when I thought I knew what would happen next, Nicole would throw me for a loop. I don’t think I have enough of the right words to describe this book. Parts had my in tears, parts of it had me smiling so wide my face hurt, parts had me wanting to scream. Every. Single. Emotion. That is what this book evoked in me while reading. It was the best though, honestly, this book was beyond perfection. The parts of life that many don’t think about, are the parts that Nicole is diving into head first in her books. I thought ‘Stay With Me’ was epic but holy smokes, ‘Even When I’m Gone’ is even more so. This is a must read, and a top read of 2019 for me.

The Emotion this book evokes from you, the characters - all the situations and words said - this book is SO AMAZING!! I’m mind blown, in awe, anger and love with Nicole Fiorina (I’ve already told her this btw!). This emotional, gut wrenching book is definitely one TOP 10 read of 2019!! This twisted, mental and emotional romance is so different and truly is a tale of emotionally-twisted lovers that never should bee, but are so PERFECT together. Hands down - YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!!! It will ruin most of the other books you’ve read this year!! I flipped the pages of this book so fast - I got nothing else accomplished. It was an obsession I couldn’t stop thinking about and had to have no matter the consequences. Her words captivated me and when the ending came - the way I felt was overwhelming. I NEED MORE ALREADY!!! I had to take about 4 hours to write this review. I was heartbroken, emotional, overwhelmed - you name it, I felt it. Her books gave me insight into these forbidden, unheard of parts of life. She throws this chaotic, psychotic, overwhelming, unemotional tale and BLOWS YOUR MIND!! I can honestly say I’ve never read a romance like this ever before. She broaches topics that are considered forbidden, but takes them and writes an unbelievable romance that will shake you to your core!!! When starting with Stay With Me, I fell hard for Ollie and Mia. The ending slayed me. This book takes that book, leaves off where it the previous book left off, and takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and feelings that you don’t want - but can’t help but feel. I experimented such awe between the characters. The support, love, uncontrollable emotions (literally!), and everything that encompasses Ollie and Mia. Ollie and Mia’s dialogue are so perfect and will give you the willpower to continue on. Their words hit you deep and soak into your soul. Ollie and Mia. Emotionally-crossed lovers that find each other, but everything has a tendency to get in the way of them. Medication - people - situations: you name it, it has happened. Their story is one that has you literally holding on for dear life!! I have NO WORDS to describe what happens without ruining the whole story for you. In this book, you learn some insights into the past, gaining perspective into WHY Ollie and Mia are the way they are. So many influences are at play in this book. Hold on tight - it’s a bumpy, sensual, overwhelming tale you won’t get over quickly!! (Warning: Book 3, I’m assured, is coming as quickly as she can!! This ends on a cliffhanger!!) So do I recommend this book - HIGHLY!! Stars: 10+ stars

Nicole Fiorina is a talent. Plain and simple, this woman has a way of weaving words that will flood you with so many emotions and feelings, that you will feel as if you need to seek a therapy session, ASAP. It’s wild to me that the writing and the flow of this story will make you feel as if you’re in the throes of mental illness. Anxiety inducing is a better way to put it maybe? It’s like I’m empathizing with the characters POV that I’m reading. Like I can feel their stress, love, sadness, and happiness bleeding from the pages. It’s crazy that one persons words can give me that much feeling. The rollercoaster of Mia & Ollie’s love is long and twisty, but so far worth the ride. The intricacies and complexities of the people and life they live in general at Dolor is just, psycho, and that’s putting it mildly. I honestly can’t say much more about this story without spoiling things. So what I will say is that this is part 2 in the 3 part story of Ollie & Mia. There is love. There is loss. There is violence. There is happiness. There is sadness. There is vengeance. There is mystery. There is suspense. There’s a little bit of everything this session at Dolor, and better yet there’s more to come.

I don’t know if anything has affected me the way that Nicole Fiorina has with Even When I’m Gone. I am still trying to process all of my emotions. Aside from that ending, which I refuse to believe is the end, this book was perfect! Nicole Fiorina does such an amazing job of writing about these very real mental health issues. She is sensitive and real. I applaud her for writing such an intense story and doing it so well. I am absolutely blown away by this story! I can’t figure out which way I should take that ending, but I am really, REALLY hoping that actually wasn’t the end. Please let there be another book!! Even if it’s from Jake’s & Liam’s perspective, as long as we get some Ollie and Mia in there! If I could give more than 5 stars, this would get them! I loved Stay With Me - it’s in my top 5 read of 2019. But I think Even When I’m Gone just topped that. For the second book in a series to top the first one, to me, says something. The writing in this book was phenomenal and touched me on a level very few, if any, have touched me. I honestly cannot recommend this series enough.

This book! I don't even know how to review this! This is definitely one of, if not the top series I've read this year! Nicole Fiorina is such an amazing writer. I seriously can't believe these books are her debut novels. What incredible talent! This book takes you on a totally emotional ride. This book tore me up & had my anxiety through the roof. I have a MAJOR book hangover and having serious trouble waiting for the next book. It has so many elements and layers to it. ✔ Angst ✔ Tragedy ✔ Suspense ✔ Thriller ✔ Romance I can't do this book justice. It has so many twist and turns that just keep you glued to the book to find out what happens next! I absolutely could not put it down. GO GET THIS BOOK, RUN AND ONE CLICK THIS SERIES. There may be triggers for some in this book.

This is the second book in a three book series and they only get better! There were parts of this book that were really hard to read. I didn't like Ollie at the beginning ( and it's really hard not to like him because he is awesome) but that was because we were seeing another side to him! Mia bless her heart, she is so damn strong to have gone through all she did. The twist and turns in this book had me screaming at my kindle. The ending WTH!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicole's ability to write so good makes you feel like you are there and to bring so many emotions out of you. I can't wait for the next book and I'm praying there will be some HEA!!! So do I recommend this book - HIGHLY!! Stars: 10+ stars

Nicole Fiorina is a talent. Plain and simple, this woman has a way of weaving words that will flood you with so many emotions and feelings, that you will feel as if you need to seek a therapy session, ASAP. It’s wild to me that the writing and the flow of this story will make you feel as if you’re in the throes of mental illness. Anxiety inducing is a better way to put it maybe? It’s like I’m empathizing with the characters POV that I’m reading. Like I can feel their stress, love, sadness, and happiness bleeding from the pages. It’s crazy that one persons words can give me that much feeling. The rollercoaster of Mia & Ollie’s love is long and twisty, but so far worth the ride. The intricacies and complexities of the people and life they live in general at Dolor is just, psycho, and that’s putting it mildly. I honestly can’t say much more about this story without spoiling things. So what I will say is that this is part 2 in the 3 part story of Ollie & Mia. There is love. There is loss. There is violence. There is happiness. There is sadness. There is vengeance. There is mystery. There is suspense. There’s a little bit of everything this session at Dolor, and better yet there’s more to come.

I don’t know if anything has affected me the way that Nicole Fiorina has with Even When I’m Gone. I am still trying to process all of my emotions. Aside from that ending, which I refuse to believe is the end, this book was perfect! Nicole Fiorina does such an amazing job of writing about these very real mental health issues. She is sensitive and real. I applaud her for writing such an intense story and doing it so well. I am absolutely blown away by this story! I can’t figure out which way I should take that ending, but I am really, REALLY hoping that actually wasn’t the end. Please let there be another book!! Even if it’s from Jake’s & Liam’s perspective, as long as we get some Ollie and Mia in there! If I could give more than 5 stars, this would get them! I loved Stay With Me - it’s in my top 5 read of 2019. But I think Even When I’m Gone just topped that. For the second book in a series to top the first one, to me, says something. The writing in this book was phenomenal and touched me on a level very few, if any, have touched me. I honestly cannot recommend this series enough.

This book! I don't even know how to review this! This is definitely one of, if not the top series I've read this year! Nicole Fiorina is such an amazing writer. I seriously can't believe these books are her debut novels. What incredible talent! This book takes you on a totally emotional ride. This book tore me up & had my anxiety through the roof. I have a MAJOR book hangover and having serious trouble waiting for the next book. It has so many elements and layers to it. ✔ Angst ✔ Tragedy ✔ Suspense ✔ Thriller ✔ Romance I can't do this book justice. It has so many twist and turns that just keep you glued to the book to find out what happens next! I absolutely could not put it down. GO GET THIS BOOK, RUN AND ONE CLICK THIS SERIES. There may be triggers for some in this book.

Thank you Nicole for my ARC!!!! I also bought this book.. that is how much I love this series!!! I really don't know how to put what I'm feeling into words. This is the second book in a three book series and they only get better! There were parts of this book that were really hard to read. I didn't like Ollie at the beginning ( and it's really hard not to like him because he is awesome) but that was because we were seeing another side to him! Mia bless her heart, she is so damn strong to have gone through all she did. The twist and turns in this book had me screaming at my kindle. The ending WTH!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicole's ability to write so good makes you feel like you are there and to bring so many emotions out of you. I can't wait for the next book and I'm praying there will be some HEA!!! Nicole you wrecked my feelings with this book!!! Great job!!!!

ust as good as book 1! Possibly even better, but I’m bias because I love this series so much. Even When I’m Gone picks up right where book 1 leaves off, and it was heart wrenching. The struggles Mia and Ollie still face are insane. With new crazy things happening that you never see coming and plot twists that will BLOW YOUR MIND! I never like to give the book away in my reviews, I always want the reader to experience the book for themselves, so I’m saying this book/series you have to read. It’s nothing like anything I’ve ever read. Nicole did an amazing job with this book. I can’t wait for book 3 because I need to know

That one word describes this storyline and Fiorina’s writing style. These characters are beautifully flawed yet you find yourself forgiving them over and over again because they’re Mia & Ollie. I loved getting to read Ollie’s perspective and face his demons with him. And Mia... where do I start? Watching her transformation has been such a pleasure. And after that ending, you’d better believe I’m picking up Book 3 ASAP!

I am not even gonna lie. I ignored everything when this came out. I don't need sleep. #TeamOllie S.W.M. was earth shattering but this. I can't even with this. It obliterates you. The ups and downs in this book are a rollercoaster ride. Mia is so strong,more than she realizes. She fights for him, for them. Ollie's mind is a prison. Hes stuck on the inside looking out. Know what he wants but his mind and body are beyond his control. Ethan, holds Mia together. Chases away the monsters in the night. The unwanted hero. Who comes out on top?! This will blow your mind.

I. Am. Wrecked. Even When I'm Gone is book two in a powerfully compelling dark romance series. The author creates a fierce, shocking experience and when you read this series be prepared to get irresistibly devoted to all of the characters. Read book one, Stay With Me, first or you won't be able to fully appreciate the journey. A flawless, well deserved five stars, a must read and a profoundly brilliant mindfk. By the time you finish book one, you will be desperate for more. By the end of EWIG you will be jonesing for the author's words like you belong in Dolor.

This is the second story in the series. You will feel like you are the middle part of the tug-a-war rope. Be aware you will feel all the following at the same time: love and hate, you will feel your soul gutted and healed, tormented and brought back to life. Be prepared to feel every single emotion of all the characters spinning on a mary-go-round. I can tell you to be prepared but nothing will prepare you for this story. Nicole has this amazing ability to draw you into each character. I am honestly shocked that this is only her second published book.

Nicole Fiorina is a freaking genius!!! This book was phenomenal. I don't even think phenomenal is a good enough word for this book. My emotions are still all over the place! This book broke my heart so many times just to mend it back and break it all over again. This book shattered me. And I loved every minute of it!!

Another great book I'm this series. I love Ollie. This one was a little different then the 1st book. Ollie needed Mia's help from slipping. Quit a few twist and turns also.

I am sorry that I read this book. I liked the first book in the series for many reasons including that the story was interested and I loved the hero Ollie. Also the first book, Stay with Me, had hot sexy times between Ollie and Mia. Sadly none of those things were true about this book. What happened to Ollie? Medicine alone cannot account for his personality transplant. In the first story Ollie was sweet, nice and very loving towards Mia. He was totally gone for her and all he saw was her. No OW would do. He wanted nothing to do with OW much less sleep with them. In fact he was celibate even prior to meeting Mia, during his entire stay at the facility. Not a manhoe. This book? Sadly he was the complete opposite. In this book Ollie is horrible. Until the point I stopped reading, which was around 50% all he thinks about is sex including with OW. He notices OW hard nipples and other body parts. He lets OW touch him. He lets OW give him bjs. He fingers OW and loves watching them react. He would have had sex with OW but could not keep it up. Poor baby. I so disliked him in this story and his claimed love for Mia? Absent. He is mean and hatefully towards her including making out with OW in front of her. Not only that but Ollie RAPED Mia because he was angry and sexually frustrated. He is a total waste of space. Hot sexy times were absent at least to the point that I stopped reading. Also this book was not interesting rather it was boring. The story dragged but that is not surprising given that Ollie and Mia didn't spend much time together and when they did as mentioned above, it was bad. Needless to say I will not be reading the next book in the series.

I don’t even know where to start with this review. It is hard to find the right words that would do this story justice. Even When I’m Gone is a beautifully written, emotional story that will capture your heart and never give it back. I fell in love with Ollie and Mia in Stay with Me and I didn’t know it was possible to fall even more in love with these characters but boy was I wrong. Mia is a fighter! Seriously, this girl is a total BA! She’s been through so much and still continues to struggle, even more so with losing her love. Ollie. I just want to hug him. He has been through so much, he has struggled through so much. My heart literally was breaking for him, for me and for the both of them. Ollie and Mia’s relationship is truly beautiful. There is so much more to their relationship than just a teenaged/young adult romance. Their bond and their connection transcend everything. It is truly poetic. Their souls were meant for each other. Despite the heartache, the pain, the separation they will always find each other. If you thought Stay with Me was emotional, Even When I’m Gone cranks up the emotion notch tenfold. Not only was this story emotional, but it was full of drama and suspense and tears. There is a certain part towards the end that had me balling my eyes out, and I’m talking full on ugly crying. Of course, just when you think everything is going to be fine, BAM! Nicole throws in a massive surprise at the end that may or may not have had me wanting through my kindle across the room. Even When I’m Gone is a MUST READ and you must read Stay with Me first. Grab the tissues, some ice cream and maybe a drink because you’ll need it all.

It has taken me two weeks to sit down and finally write this review, and STILL, I doubt I’ll be able to properly express just how AMAZING this story really is. These books are far from an easy read. I am so invested in these characters, and their relationship. There were some scenes where I couldn’t catch my breath because I had been holding it for so long, some scenes where I was literally shaking while reading because I was so upset with the choices they were making. My heart just couldn’t catch up! ❝ Because love is constant. When you love someone, you can be angry with them, you can hate them, you can be upset or disappointed in them, but you never stop loving them because love endures all other emotions.❞ I have NEVER, EVERRR cried as much as I have while reading these two books you guys! Nicole Fiorina is KILLING IT! I may or may not have a mini girl crush on her. I mean how can you not? Did you see her DEBUT novel? Stories like this just don’t usually come from a FIRST RELEASE! But here she is, with her SECOND release, killing it all over again! Nicole has created these perfectly imperfect, flawed characters that you will love anyways. They make mistakes, they mess up, but still, you know who THEY are and you can’t help but continue to root for them anyway. The way Fiorina composes this poetic dialogue, absolutely amazing. I highlighted so much of this book that it took me an hour just to go through and figure out which quotes I would add to my review because if I had added everything I highlighted there would have been nothing left for you to read! Nicole Fiorina, remember the name ya’ll because I have a feeling we will be seeing a whole lot more of it EVERYWHERE! ❝ Sometimes all we need is someone who will sit in the dark with us.❞ —Oliver Masters I was so empathetic towards both, Ollie and Mia. I’ve dealt with my own mental health issues and in some aspects, I could relate to BOTH of them in different ways. I am so, so invested in this book, and these characters. BRAV-FREAKIN-O Nicole, I know I said it already but YOU ARE KILLING IT! ❝ We’re Ollie and Mia. Not some bloody love story or fairy tale. Those all have endings… Real love never dies.❞ There is so much character growth with Mia in EWIG. She has overcome so much and STILL, she continues to battle. Battle her own mind, battle for Ollie and his love, battle an unknown prankster who is determined to hurt her… that girl is so much stronger then she gives herself credit for. ❝ Because just as much as she was all— consuming, she was imperfect and honest—the representation of love. Consuming. Imperfect. Honest.❞ My Ollie 💜 He is such a beautiful, brilliant, unique soul. I fell in love with Ollie in SWM, but in EWIG, I felt so, so, so much more for him. We learn a lot more about Ollie’s background, and all the things that he had to endure as a child and as a young teen. Seeing who Ollie turned into while he was on those god awful meds… KILLED ME! In EWIG, Ollie wasn’t the Ollie that we all know and love. There were quite a few scenes that were literally hard to stomach, but I just tried to keep remembering, THIS wasn’t Ollie. Not our Ollie. And afterward, no one could hate him more than he hated himself. ❝ If you don’t walk out of here with Mia, know there are other fish in the sea.❞ In an instant, my smile faded. “You don’t get it. Mia is the sea.❞ I swear Ollie and Mia can’t catch a break. It’s one turmoil after another. They went through a lot in Stay With Me, but in Even When I’m Gone, I feel like EVERY single thing they went through was destined to tear them apart. But I absolutely love seeing their love push on through every single trial and tribulation. They prove time and time again, soulmates really do exist. ❝ Utterly stripped, unarmed, and exposed, the unity of us was a beautiful thing, and there was only one word to describe it. Poetic.❞ The secondary characters, I was really upset with most of them. All because of a cruel prank Mia, who at that point had already “lost” Ollie, then lost almost EVERYONE who was SUPPOSED to be her friend. Turns out they didn’t care nearly as much about her as they once claimed too. I will say, Mia, forgave way to easy. Which was yet again another way we saw how just how much more Mia had grown. ❝ You’re Mia and Ollie. Never broken, only bent.❞ Then there was Zeke. The relationship that both Mia and Ollie have with him is the sweetest thing ever. We saw a little of that in SWM but we saw a lot more of the connection they both have with him, and him with each of them, in EWIG. Finding out Ollie’s plans for him and Zeke, as well as Mia, when they were finally able to get out of Dolar makes me love Ollie even more. I can’t even write about Zeke… 😭 ❝ I just needed someone to hold me because when my eyes closed, the ache surfaced. Ollie wasn’t here to take it away, but Ethan was.❞ Ethan Scott became a very big part of the story this time around. We first met Ethan as the police officer who came to Dolar after the incident between Mia and Ollie’s brother Oscar. This time around, he is a security officer at Dolar and the seven months that Ollie has been gone, he’s developed a very unique relationship with Mia. He became her friend and her confidant when she had no one else. ❝ You’re desperate, I know, but his touch is never going to fix it. You’re empty, I know, but he can never fill the place I once did. I warned you, my love, but you’re stubborn and never listen.❞ —Oliver Masters That ending, that epilogue… OMG, I am STILL speechless. I just KNEW that there was more going on, but just when I thought I had figured it out, something would happen and it would throw me off the trail. BUT, what ACTUALLY is going on, yea I NEVER saw that coming!!! SPEECHLESS!! Now I’m left feeling a plethora of emotions that I STILL haven’t been able to work out yet. Talk about a book hangover!!! ❝ Perhaps you were here to remind everyone that angels are real, in the shape of humanity and the color of grace. I can't even begin to describe the emotions I'm experiencing after reading Even When I'm Gone. Let me just say that Nicole is a master with her words. She truly makes you feel like you're going through the same experiences and emotions as the characters. Mia is one strong ass women and I bow down to her. What she goes through in this book is so sad, frustrating, and heart-breaking at the same time. She will forever be one of my top favorite heroines. She stands her ground and masks her emotions when she’s threatened and it truly takes a badass to do that. Ollie. Oh, my Ollie. He can take my heart and stomp on it as long as he pieces it back together with his poetic words. Ollie struggles with a hypersensitivity disorder that you get a feel for in book one but it comes out even more in this book. I can’t imagine experiencing the thoughts and emotions that Ollie does but you truly get an understanding for the disorder and how it can really impact your life. And when Ollie feels...he FEELS and his love for Mia is evermore. “I’m not so sure what’s more terrifying, the violent storm inside my head or the silence.” - Oliver Masters This is not only one of the best dark romances I’ve ever read, it gives you a better appreciation for those struggling with mental disorders and how damaging they can be but also allows you to feel and to know that it’s okay to seek help. This is definitely one of my favorite books this year!

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Stars “Every inch of her had seared into my soul like a permanent tattoo—because we once belonged.” Writing 5 Stars - Nicole Fiorina is just getting better and better each book. She delves deep into the complexities of mental and emotional demons, making them realistic, relatable, and in the end ... forgivable. “If reality becomes unbearable, close your eyes. We were made with an imagination.” Characters 5 Stars - Oliver and Mia ❤️ What more can I say? Ethan and Zeke were favorites of mine too. The rest of them irritated me with how easily swayed they were in their loyalties. “Withdrawal. Such a simple word for the turmoil thrashing around within, eating away at the dead parts of me, only exposing the remanence of regret and guilt.” Plot 4.5 Stars - This was so convoluted and tangled, which made this book a definite re-read for me. Things became so much clearer the second time through! “A slow-burning rage filled me, and I needed to fill her to release it. Be inside her. Each section needed to be digested. “I didn’t have butterflies in my stomach. No. This feeling was a couple dozen phoenix’s rising from their ashes.” Dialogue 5 Stars - I loved every interaction between Ollie and Mia, even the bad ones. Everything was so rich and full of emotion and intensity. In conclusion, I can not wait for the final (?) installment of this series. That cliffy tho!!!

So I have been impatiently waiting for this book to come out as soon as I finished Stay With Me! So naturally when it got dropped on my kindle at night I dropped everything and started it and read all night til I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. Then finished it the next day lol. I have loved Ollie since SWM and just loved him even more in this one. His mind, heart and how he wears his emotions just pulls on MY emotions. To get his POV of what happened in the end of book 1, if you haven’t read that go now cuz I don’t wanna spoil it for ya, to see what was going through his head at that time just killed me but made me happy that he was still in there deep down. There were parts that I wasn’t happy with him but in the end understood the situation haha. Mia my poor little Mia. I was so happy with her this book, not that I wasn’t in book 1, but her strength in this one just made me so damn proud and happy. There were so many times she could ya w went back to how she was but she stayed true to her new self and made sure she got her Ollie back. Never once did she lose her faith in him. I love them together. But the ending you guys about damn near broke my heart for many reasons. So now I am left impatiently waiting for the final book haha. This book took me on such a roller coaster of emotions. From happy to sad to flipping anger and to broken-hearted. I have no words other than incredible and amazing. Even When I’m Gone is such an emotional endeavor! I fell in love with Ollie and Mia in Stay With Me, and I was on pins and needles watching their story play out. Watching these two struggle, emotionally and physically, is heart wrenching! “That’s the thing about love. Once it touches you, it doesn’t go away.” Ollie and Mia have this soul deep connection and I KNOW they belong together. Their journey isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s distressing, destructive and down right painful at times. But then it’s sweet, romantic and sooo beautiful. They belong together, plain and simple. Only it’s not that simple. There are so many obstacles in their way. “Embrace it, Mia. Every moment, no matter how long it lasts, it’s all worth it, yeah?” Two years. That’s how long they are in that godforsaken place. A place where you can’t trust anyone. Where your so called “friends” are waiting to stab you in the back. Where you can’t even trust the staff. Bad things happen everyday. But Ollie and Mia are survivors. They will get through it. My heart needs to believe that. “Sure, we were adults, but stripped of our freedom and deprived of our identity by the hands of medication and means of brainwash—an attempt to reset us like a broken toy.” At the end I was screaming “NOOOOOO! NO! NO! NO! THIS CANT BE HAPPENING!” I’m losing my mind wondering where Fiorina is taking us in the next book!!!! I’m still blown away that this is a debut series!! The writing gets better and better. It’s the emotions that this is going to bring it out in you, that make it such a fabulous read. You will have no choice but to still be thinking of the characters days later.

Some of this review may sound like spoilers, but it is background information from the beginning of the book. This was better than book 1, and that was a great book. I love the struggle, the emotions, the romance, and the heartbreak. This sequel has every bit as much feeling and strife as the first book, but in this one, Nicole Fiorina definitely brought the heat index up to the highest levels. I’ll give this book five flames for sweltering scenes between Mia and Ollie 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. At the end of the last book Ollies depraved brother Oscar had orchestrated a crime against Mia with Ollie watching but drugged so he couldn’t do anything. Mia barely escaped but it came out that she has been with Oscar when she first arrived at Dolar. Ollie couldn’t handle the thought of Mia with his brother so he went back on his Medication. While on the meds he forgot about Mia and the deep connection they shared. Dean Lynch sent Ollie away and Oscar was sent to prison for 30 years. Ollie was in jail for seven months until they could determine that he wasn’t involved with the prostitution ring Oscar was running, he is now back at Dolar and his love for Mia is back with a vengeance. Ollie is able to see Mia and confirm that she still has feelings for him, but he starts to go into withdrawals from his medication and has to go back on it. Mia and Ollie both know that will bring forth the mean and emotionless Ollie so Mia makes him agree to stay away from her for the year while he is medicated. While Ollie was away, Mia leaned on the new security guard who had helped her get through some of her issues because of what Oscar pit her through. Mia leans on Ethan more as Ollie is medicated. It is heartbreaking to see them this way because you know how much they love each other. They are both hurting but underneath it all you know that deep in their minds they are each other’s end game. The romance between these two is both inspiring and emotional and they sometimes can’t fight their feelings and that is when things really heat up. I ate up every scene where Ollie and Mia were together. The supporting characters were also awesome in this book. Zeke played a big role, he is the mute boy who was Ollies friend and who Mia would sit and talk to in the cafeteria. Jake returned from book 1 also, he was Mia’s friend who was sent to Dolar by his father for being homosexual. Ethan the security guard was terrific as was the relationship between him and Mia. I won’t give out any spoilers or give away the main storylines, but I will say that the entire book was very well written and truly spectacular, including the ending. I can’t wait to read more. I have no words to describe how I’m feeling since reading the last word of Even When I’m Gone! Heck...throughout most of this book! I wanted to throw things and scream! Instead I typed a lot of CURSE WORDS to my friend who buddy read it with me! Then I THREW THINGS electronically via message! I took a lot of deep breaths and tried to focus on my breathing! Yes, I really get into my books! Even When I’m Gone is ABSOLUTELY FREAKING AMAZING! If you haven’t read Stay With Me; the first book in this series...STOP..GO READ IT NOW!!! It is the beginning of Mia & Ollie’s story and what a beautiful beginning it was!! Mia and Ollie are two of the most unique characters I’ve ever read! The love that these two found within each other is extraordinary and has the power to touch and heal souls. Ollie Masters...with those gorgeous green eyes that brighten when he’s the best version of himself! Barely living until he met Mia Rose Jett; once he had her he knew his life only existed with her. Mia experienced trauma that led her to close off her feelings; made it easier to deal with the world around her if she didn’t feel anything or establish connections with people. After Ollie found his way inside, then he left her...every single day without him is torture for her soul. “Stay with me, even when I’m gone.” Mia & Ollie fight not only the demons in their mind but also the evil around them that wants them apart. So many new players in EWIG, it’ll make your head spin with ideas and all the possibilities. Hands down, my favorite part of this series are the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. I said that for Stay With Me and I’ll say it again for Even When I’m Gone. These words are beautifully written; meant to be read by the world. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I did. Also, gotta get this out too..my 3rd favorite character is Ethan Scott! I won’t go into any details. I just couldn’t finish the review without giving a shout out to my man! I am in complete awe of Nicole Fiorina’s words! I could not put these novels down, they are that amazing! I always love finding a new author; but to find an author at the beginning of her career that has such talent and can capture my mind so completely is such a joy! Whereas I’m a bit sad I can’t binge read her entire backlist since there isn’t one I’m overjoyed to be able to follow along now as she continues her career!

I love when a sequel comes out of the gate swinging, promising to live up to the hype generated by its stellar predecessor. Even When I’m Gone does that. It is a true illustration of unconditional and all-consuming love, and Ollie and Mia are the perfect example of how, with the right person, your vulnerabilities and flaws can become empowering virtues. Nicole Fiorina has CRUSHED IT with book two, and I cannot wait to experience the conclusion to this dramatic and emotionally gripping love story. I’ve honestly never read a book quite like this one, and the creativity and imagination that went into crafting such a unique an intricate story is brilliant. To tackle complex topics such as the ones covered in this series is bold, and it takes courage and confidence. Nicole Fiorina is conquering and redefining tropes, and it’s an emotional and breathtaking experience. I thoroughly enjoyed Even When I’m Gone, and I cannot wait for book three (because OMG that cliff hanger!!!). Oliver Masters is still every bit the enigmatic and poetic hero I fell for in book one. EWIG only adds to his depth and appeal, and I’m even more obsessed with him than I was before. The way that he loves completely and the poetic way he sees the world turned me to absolutely mush. Ollie Masters is the definition of swoony, and my heart still beats and breaks for him. In book one I had difficulty connecting with Mia. I liked her, but I didn’t love her. I struggled with continuity of her character and the flow of her arc. EWIG fixed a lot of that for me. Her growth and authenticity develop fluidly, and I cannot wait to see the full bloom sure to come in book three. When I consider everything Mia has been through, and all the tragedy life has thrown at her, the way she chooses to approach life and challenges in EWIG is inspiring and empowering. I have a whole Mia cheering section in my brain from the times that she dusted herself off and made me say “YEEEES GIRL!!!” EWIG has shocking twists, deliciously hate-able villains, romantic and sexy steam scenes, TWO super hot book boyfriends, and some seriously gorgeous prose. It’s a refreshingly new plot outline with interesting and compelling subject matter, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t blink for the last 15% of the book. If you liked book one, Stay With Me, don’t miss the next installment of this series.

I stayed up until 2am to finish my arc of #EvenWhenImGone by @nicolefiorina . And it was totally worth it. ⁣ ⁣ This is the second book in the series, the first book Stay With Me is a MUST. Can’t read this one until you’ve read the first or you’ll be completely lost. I can’t say much about book two except it comes out October 29th and you have plenty of time to read Mia and Ollies story beginning beforehand. These books do have sensitive topics such as mental health issues, violence to some degree, and sexual content. They are meant for 18+ and I’m only clarifying this because the mental health issues are spoken about in detail. This is a story about to broken people who come together and end up healing one another. They are so intertwined they are apart of one another’s blood. Their love shows that even those who society may have given up on need and deserve to be loved just like everyone else. ⁣ ⁣ Nicole pushes the boundaries of romance genre classification along with creating a male lead character that defies the typical alpha broody male. Forget everything you think you know about New Adult romance. Stay with Me & Even When I’m Gone are books that step outside the framework of today’s angst and gives a glimpse of what’s it like to be on the inside looking out. I can not even tell you how much I need book three y’all. You aren’t ready for this one.

I finished this book about a week ago and I haven’t been able to formulate my review. I don’t want to because then that would be admitting EWIG is over. I don’t want to stop being in Mia and Ollie’s world. Ever. Mia and Ollie have gone through so much in their short lives but have managed to find each other in the most unlikely of places but exactly when they needed each other. They show us no matter how much life tries to beat you down that love is strong enough to save someone from their darkest days. That love is enough to fight off the darkest of demons and lethal enemies. Their journey is filled with highs and lows and twists and turns like no other but they both remain steadfast and true to each other and it is beautiful beyond words (at least words that I don’t have but that is why we have Nicole). I cannot even begin to say how amazing the writing is in this book. I am still in shock that this is only her second book. Nicole makes you feel everything that Mia and Ollie feel, the pain, the conflict, the guilt, the passion, the love, all of it (some authors do a lot of telling and no showing, this book, this book was all show). Even the side characters are well written/developed. I may hate some of them and want to throat punch them but that goes to show how well they are written. That they would evoke that feeling from me. Also, not only was this story amazing, but she wrote these poems from Ollie’s perspective at the beginning of each chapter that are just to die for. To be a writer and a poet? Just amazing in my opinion. I cannot wait for book three in this series, so we can all go to Gibraltar. I need to have Mia and Ollie’s HEA.

Someone send me the name of an excellent therapist, ASAP. Fiorina nailed it AGAIN, with EWIG, the 2nd of the SWM series. I absolutely gushed about the first book, and while I’d love to contain myself, I find that I’m unable to do so, and will be gushing in this review as well. Haunting. Heartbreaking. Anxiety Inducing. Riveting. Poignant. We are consistently being dropped into the throes of the mental illness that each of the characters is experiencing, and it is all of these things at once. “𝐼’𝓂 𝓈𝓉𝓊𝒸𝓀 𝒷𝑒𝓉𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝐼’𝓁𝓁 𝓃𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝒷𝑒 𝑒𝓃𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓃𝑜 𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝑒𝓁𝓈𝑒 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓂𝑜𝓇𝑒.” I have NEVER been rocked by characters the way that Mia and Oliver get to me. They consistently prove that they have what it takes to find each other in their respective darknesses. And for every single high and low, happy and sad, heartbreaking and triumphant moment in their journey, they grip me by the tatters of my heart and drag me along with them. “𝒯𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓂𝒶𝓎 𝒷𝑒 𝒶 𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓂 𝒾𝓃𝓈𝒾𝒹𝑒 𝓂𝓎 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝒹, 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝓃𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝑔𝑒𝓉 𝒷𝑒𝓉𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝓂𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓂𝓎 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉. 𝒯𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒾𝓈 𝒶 𝒷𝒶𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝓁𝑜𝓈𝑒 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎 𝓉𝒾𝓂𝑒.” Not only does Fiorina give us a beautiful novel, but each time, she touches us with the poetic glimpses of Oliver’s soul, and really, I applaud her giving us so much more than just the basics. Recommendation: I WILL ALWAYS ADVISE YOU TO TAKE THE CHANCE ON THIS AUTHOR. DIVE IN, AND LET HER SET YOUR SOUL ON FIRE.

It’s clear that Nicole Fiorina has a way of writing stories that make your heart beat faster than you ever imagine before. She is not afraid to give you ALL THE FEELS. This book wrecked me till the point where BIG FAT tears were running down my cheeks without stop and I honestly couldn’t sleep afterwards. It still amazes me to know this is just the second book of this author. And let me tell you something, she proudly did all this without following the rules. If you want to give a defined trope to this story. Try again!!! This book has it all. To talk about Ollie is simple and utterly POETIC. That’s the best way to describe the amazing character Nicola created. Watching him overcome his demons was FANTASTIC. Not only he fought for his sanity but also for his greatest love; Mia. The character development was extraordinary. Each one of them has something important to add to the story. You can’t stop thinking they are there for a reason. And if you keep reading, you surely going to find out why. Mia is a strong and persistent woman. Even finding a purpose in life, she never stopped evolving. Never stopped believing she was capable of changing the course of her life even knowing the consequences would be devastating for her already broken heart. No matter how much it hurts to read it, you don’t see yourself EVER STOPPING. You just keep craving more and more of Ollie and Mia’s story. The journey has just begun.

If you are looking for a book with emotional overload, Nicole Fiorina is your girl. I absolutely adored, Stay with Me. It was impactful, emotional, poignant, and thought-provoking. So, how do you top that? Easy, you let Ms. Fiorina write that second book in the trilogy, Even When I’m Gone. You see, words are just words, but somehow when Nicole gets her hands on them, they turn into thoughts, feelings and emotions. She leaves you reeling for days from her twist and turns and gut-wrenching scenarios. As I mentioned before, EWIG is the second book in a non-standalone trilogy. It is the bulk of the trilogy, thus far. We start by seeing a different side to Ollie, which was heartbreaking to read, because I LOVE Ollie. In the meantime, we also see a different side to Mia, in response to this. The girl is stronger than the vibranium in Captain America’s shield. She must do something that hurts the two lovebirds now, but she is doing it for the betterment of their future. It is difficult to read about these two during this time, because you can feel the love between these two. They are Ollie and Mia, yet at the same time, they aren’t. When I read SWM, I had never read anything like it. It was unique and took you on a spin of love and mental illness. EWIG continues this. It is exceptional and extraordinary. She really sucks you into these characters, so you feel as if you are part of the book yourself. There were times where I screamed, I cried, but ultimately, I loved every single thing of this book. Now the ending has me shook. I can not wait (even though I have too) for the conclusion of Ollie and Mia. I have my fingers crossed, holding my breath, and praying for a HEA for these two. Whichever way, Nicole decides to go with it, I know that I will love it, because Ms. Fiorina is an author not to be missed and her writing is out of this world.

I adored Stay With Me which was book one in this series, so I had great expectations for Nicole and book two. Now you ask, did this book fulfill my expectations? The answer is a giant YES, it more than surpassed them! Another great question is, am I currently speaking to Nicole? And that answer would be a great fat NO. I am currently sitting in the corner trying to recover from this book. This series continued to hit on extremely important topics and it was done in a heart wrenching, soul shattering way. There are so many taboo topics and Nicole isn’t afraid to tackle them head on and make us think about the broken world we live in. I love Ollie and Mia so much! They are so beautifully broken. Their love and connection is not a conventional one but it is definitely one for the story books. How I experienced so many emotions within a short span of a chapter is unknown but that’s just what this story did to me. From smiling- laughing even- to being brought to tears. I would be so angry I had the urgent need to trash my kindle but I resisted. I will be honest and admit that I had to walk away from this story several times because I knew I was going to be left lost and broken hearted with so many more questions than I had answers. And once again that’s exactly what happened. I’m holding out hope for a book three because otherwise my heart will never be mended.

There are not enough words to describe how much I love this story. Book two filled me with so much emotions and feelings. This book made me happy, laugh, cry, angry. A lot of emotions. The author is an incredible writer, I have said this before and I’ll say again she was meant to write. Her writing is beautiful, angelic, peaceful, well thought out, elegant. When I read her words they flow right through me. They don’t confuse me they in a way inspire me even if it’s a line in the book. Ollie is such a beautiful character. I have never related to a character so much. Not so much the dark side, but the side that makes him purely beautiful I find myself connecting with him. The way he fights and believes in happiness is such an eye opener. He makes life seem to so dreamy even when it’s not. He keeps the hope and that’s something so special. Mia in this book we see her fight to keep the feelings flowing, but we also see her break enough to shine. That’s what Ollie wanted for her. She endures so much hardship, they both do, but their dedication to their love is so overwhelming beautiful. I didn’t want the book to finish. I was hooked from page one to the very end. I was left feeling shocked and overwhelmed in the best way by the ending. Those are the best kind of books to me, that leave me wanting more. Read this book, I highly recommend it. My poor heart has been broken too many times while I was reading this book and still I loved every minute of it.Even When I’m Gone left me speechless, covered in goosebumps and chills. I laughed,cried and I was on edge the whole time. I’m still in shock because of that ending, I can’t recover from it. And now I have to impatiently wait for the third book in the series,ugh. I need it now! Every single time I thought that I knew what was going to happen next I was proven wrong.I didn’t want to stop reading it and I really can’t wait to read more from this author. I’m not going to talk about what’s happening in this book because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. And I don’t want to constantly repeat how much I love this book and Nicole’s writing. All I can say is that if you haven’t already read this series you need to,I cannot recommend them enough!These characters are so,so unique and there aren’t two characters that share the same connection that Mia and Ollie do. Their love for each other is so special and one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read. I couldn’t get enough of them and I don’t think I ever will. I love them with my whole heart. ”Because love is constant. FIVE poem stars for MIA and OLLIE ❤🖤❤🖤!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I still can't believe that "Stay With Me" is Nicole's debut book because it's brilliant, but that is nothing compared to "Even When I'm Gone", the second book this series 😱! The first book was an emotional roller coaster. There were a few times when my tears were dropping trough my face but this one was also emotional and shattered my heart a lot of times. Nicole Fiorina has a beautiful writing style that penetrates the soul. I felt everything. Every each word touched my heart. My soul. My mind. In these two books, she wrote about true life problems, mental health and social issues in the way I didn't find in any other book with these topics. Mia and Oliver's relationship is all but ordinary. They started as enemies who fought each other until they became conscious of the connection between them. And just when I thought they finally found their happily ever after, something happened to separate them apart. Epilog shocked me and I can't wait to read the next book in series 😍!!! If you're looking for a book that wrecks your emotions, this is a book for you 💖!!! Highly recommended!!!

Holy crap! I did not see this story going where it did. Nicole Fiorina, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship! Have you ever read a story that you thought was going to turn out one way, but then it went in such a different direction it left you jaw dropped? That's exactly what happened to me at the end of Even When I'm Gone! After I closed my mouth, I just stared out into space clutching my kindle with a goofy freaking smile on my face, and mentally added a star to my rating. If you've read this book, you may find that reaction a little weird given what occurred in the final moments of the book, but I live for that kind of stuff, okay? 😂 I read so much that I'm rarely taken completely off guard in that particular way, and if this is only Nicole's second book, sign me up for all the rest! This author has balls and talent, and I have a feeling she will only get better from here. We all know how authors can be raked over the coals for allowing their characters to be messy, flawed, conflicted, and confused. I know it has to be scary to let your characters go there and hope people don't rip you apart for it. Well, if this author worries about such things, I wouldn't know. She let's Mia and Ollie screw up, waffle back and forth between what they want, and screw up again. Yes, there is mental illness involved, but not all of these moments of indecision and weakness are due to that. Some are due to just being human. As much as some people like to pretend they are perfect individuals that always know what they want and never make mistakes, in reality, that's just not the case. While I may not have made a lot of the decisions the characters did, I'm cool with the hero and heroine both being flawed and taking time to find their way back to each other and themselves. Some of those moments gave us a character that I hope we get a lot more of in the next book. I would go as far as to say the addition of that character made the book for me. Don't get me wrong. I love Mia and Ollie together, but this new character brought this story somewhere else entirely. I anticipate a mucher darker third book, and I'm crossing my fingers that I'm right. Bring on the crazy, because I. Am. Here. For. It! Even if that doesn't happen, I have faith in this author to work her magic and give this story the conclusion it deserves. This installment of the series is just as emotional as it's predecessor. The steamy and romantic scenes are on point. Both characters make you root for them and love them even if at some point in the story you wanted to strangle the crap out of them. Overall, totally recommend to everyone interested in the series due to the blurbs, subject matter, or reviews. If you haven't read Stay With Me, go back and do that first. This is a series, and the books have to be read in order. If you've already read the first book, definitely pick up this one. It wasn't what I thought it was going to be, and honestly, the last couple of chapters surprised the hell out of me. New adult romance fans, this one's for you!

Have you ever finished a book that has left you in the state of not being able to formulate words or thoughts? That is pretty much me right now. Mia and Ollie are everything! I love these characters like they are my own. Regardless of the troubles that Mia and Ollie have been facing, their love for each other is so strong that it surpasses it all and always brings them back to where they belong. The ending of the story was definitely not one that I saw coming and I love that the author totally blindsided us with that. I love Nicole Fiornia's way with words, she is able to make you feel the emotions of her characters as if they were your own. I think that is an incredible and rare talent for a writer to have. I am looking forward to reading the last book Now Open Your Eyes.

You guys, I fell in love with @nicolefiorinabooks writing when I read Stay With Me. She has such a talent for writing dark, psychological romances and touches on things in such a tasteful way. Ollie and Mia easily stole my heart in the first book and I became so emotionally invested in their relationship that I couldn’t wait to see where it went in EWIG. I loved seeing their roles reverse for part of the book and then slowly find their way back to each other. (No matter how much of a struggle it was). I was kind of nervous that I wouldn’t love this one as much as the first (stupidly) but I was wrong. I loved it! I loved the mystery aspect of it, I was constantly trying to figure it out. I loved the love triangle as well. I was honestly finding myself torn between the two. 🤦♀️ and don’t get me started on the twists and turns! I think my heart rate stayed at an all time high. Lol. But seriously, there was never a dull moment in this book and the twists were wonderful! (Not a huge fan of the cliff hanger, only because I need to know what happens next! Lol). And by the way, you might want tissues during this book because it makes you have all the feels!! Thanks for ripping my heart out Nicole!

Nicole has done it again with this beautiful, poetic, moving story. Not only does her words flay my heart but the characters have seeped into my skin and woven tiny pieces of them in my heart. Even When I'm Gone adds the element of suspense and mystery this time and I was thirsty for answers as I turned page after page leaving me at the edge of my seat. I'm completely flabbergasted and in awe with this story, the mind games and that ending have left me reeling!!! I absolutely loved Ollie and I'm completely enamoured with him! His undivided love and faith in Mia is incredible. The lengths and bounds he would go through for her has left me awestruck. The things this couple go through and endure you can't help but root for them and become emotionally invested in them. Guys I cannot state anymore how amazing this author and book is. Be prepared to be taken on an emotional rollercoaster, have your heart wrung through the wringer and prepare for all the feels in the world. Four words are only needed to describe this book. Beautiful. Emotionally gripping. Poetic.

This is the second book in this series. The first introduced me to Ollie and Mia and their emotional breath taking love story. It left me with quite the cliff hanger. This one picks me back up with these two still in desperate need of each other. Mia is struggling with the fact that Ollie has left her. But no matter what she will not give up on him. But Ethan is there to help her through the nights so to speak. But things start happening to her. That is the plot twist of all plot twists. Who is doing these nasty things to Mia and why? Every chapter every gripping moment in this one had me hooked from the very beginning to the very end. Nicole is an amazing writer and this book this series proves that. She not only brings out the emotions when you are reading about these characters but you can easily feel what each of these characters are going through with their illness. This book is full of suspense, twists, turns, emotions you never see coming. A page turner you don't want to put down until the end. And the end again left me hanging on the ledge. I loved each and every character in this one. Felt each and every emotion. I absolutely love Ollie and Mia's story and cant wait to see what happens next.

Ohh how I love Ollie and Mia so much. They completely own my heart. Since the end of book 1, Stay with Me I have been eagerly awaiting book 2, Even When I’m Gone and I can tell you the wait was so worth it. I loved every single written word. This author is a master of her craft. Beautifully poetic writing like I have never read before. The emotion you feel will hold you captive from the first to last page! The growth in Mia’s character from the start of book 1 until the 2nd book is TREMENDOUS. She is a FIGHTER! She has overcome so much and the fact that she is still pushing on is inspiring. I especially loved Mia’s relationship with Zeke. She has such a huge soft spot for him and it completely pulls at your heartstrings. The book deals with anxiety, depression, suicide and other mental illnesses so be warned that this book is not for those that can not handle these sensitive subjects. But if you can you will appreciate the way Nicole tackles these subjects. It's so real, raw and emotional! Ollie's character completely slayed me. He has such a unique soul. When he feels, you feel. In book 2 we learn more about Ollie's background and what he had to endure growing up and once you realize how far he has come to get to where he is today you will be awestruck. There is so much more I could say but I want to keep this review spoiler free. So just know that the minute you finish the last page you will be stunned and realing for the 3rd book because I know I was! You know it's a great book when it has been a week since you finished and you're still not over it and couldn't stop thinking about it every day since then. What an emotional and epic rollercoaster was this book. I had to take a few days to catch up with my feelings and I don't really know how to write this review, I don't know how to put everything I'm still feeling into words. This story is so unique and exceptionally amazing. Nicole has managed to become one of my favorite author in such a short amount of time, she can literally touch your soul with her words. The way this story is written is so epic, it was a whole experience. The story between Mia and Ollie is so tragically beautiful and dark, they go through so many things, their love get tested at every turn they take. In every chapter I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what would happen next, feeling like I couldn't trust anyone in there. Every character has their own struggles and I could feel for them, even the bad guys (almost). Every word is delivered with a purpose and it's just pure magic. "Every way, we’d fit without flaw. Her body was my kingdom come. Her divine kiss was my salvation. Her soul was mine’s paradise. Mia was my evermore. And I’d known since the moment my soul felt hers." The fact that in this book we get Ollie's POV, makes it even more real, being in his head, knowing his thoughts and what he was truly feeling and suffering made me connect with his character on a whole new level. We get to see how he fights so hard for himself, for Mia and their love and even for the ones he cares about. "His love pumped through my veins, even when he was gone because we were bound together by something much bigger." The evolution of Mia since we met her in Stay With Me is so admirable, she's so strong, even after getting so many blows thrown at her, the way she fights so hard against everything that kept happening to her, but even after all that she was still standing like a warrior. Even When I'm Gone was really an epic emotional rollercoaster that got me feeling so much for these characters that I love so so so much, they're a part of me now and will stay with me for the rest of my life. The darkness, the subjects touched, the poetic way it's written, EVERY SINGLE THING in this book is just perfect and I won't stop recommending it. This book shredded me apart then Ollie came along and made it all better for me. The emotions are so so real and the author makes you feel the characters hurt, pain, joy, love, and so on. We are starting where book one ended and poor Mia is struggling to hold herself together and she has some support in a new friend, but nothing is the same without Ollie by her side. We learn how she has been coping and that her feelings for Ollie are real and deep. When Ollie does come back, he is not the same Ollie we know or Mia knows so she tries to bring her Ollie back. These two go through so much pain just to find their happily ever after, you can’t help but pull for them and wish them the best. It was an emotional roller coaster of a read and the twists and turns you don’t see coming blew my mind. This author knows how to take you to the edge dangle a happy ending in front of you then push you over the cliff. I think the first book was amazing, but book two is beautifully done and I just know book three will blow us all away.

Powerful and full of sentiments, that's my way to describe this series. Nicole's writing manages to penetrate your soul and makes you rethink many issues around us people, especially young ones are going through. This is why this book it's so unique. Ollie is a kind soul, that had to go through a hard life with the disadvantage that he feels way too much, all his emotions multiplied. In this book, we see much more of him and his past and why he is the way he is. How he has to struggle with his problems and the way that something that's meant to help ends up keeping him away from what he loves the most. Heartache and broken, that's how I ended up feeling, yet the story of these two teaches us how we can find a light at the end of the tunnel and make the best of it even when it might seem life's not always our side.

This is book 2 in the 'Stay With Me' series. Ollie and Mia's story will continue to captivate you. I recommend reading this book on a day off becuase you will not be able to put it down. Nicole Fiorina is a truly a brilliant writer. From the very first page you are deeply drawn in and invested in the story as though you are there yourself. (Same for Book 1) If you are looking for a story to evoke emotions, this series is quite the emotional and mental rollercoaster ride. This riveting story will leave you speechless and dumbfounded, with the unexpected twists and turns. This is a love story that once read, will forever be in your heart. I dont want to say too much about the story itself to avoid giving any spoilers away. I seriously cannot wait for book 3, as this story is a cliffhanger and will leave you needing more. I dont think I can give enough high praise about this amazing, talented author. She has easily become one of my favorote authors and I look forward to her next books. It is so, so hard to believe this is the second book written by this author. I love to FEEL when I read my books and OMG, did I ever feel! I love flawed characters, because, heck, I have plenty of flaws of my own. So, it's great to read about REAL characters, not fairy-tale, couldn't be real life characters. Ollie and Mia...I'm with you, every step you both take. Don't be mad when I'm telegraphing my advice, warnings, etc. to you! Sometimes, please listen, you're killing me! Hot damn! What an outstanding read! Gritty, sad, poetic, tragic, steamy and WTAF all spring to mind when I think of this story. It wasn't all rainbows and butterflies but OMG it was still just as beautiful, if not more so than the first book. This book had more twists and turns than a roller coaster, my head is still questioning WTAF I just read (in a good way). Imma need the next book now, please! I can not recommend this series enough, if you are going to take a chance on a new to you author, let it be Nicole. She writes as though she has been doing it for years, I still can't believe this is only her second release! These characters just have a way of getting under your skin, imprinting themselves on your soul - only to break your heart and leave you wondering what will happen next.

Even When I'm Gone by Nicole Fiorina is not only the second book of the Stay With Me Series but Nicole's second published book ever. I am still blown away by the sheer talent Nicole possesses to create a world that encapsulates so many people instantly. Even When I'm Gone is a suspenseful romance novel about two young adults fighting to remain the center of each other's world. One thing you can always expect from Nicole is how much respect and delicacy she employs while discussing the various types of mental illness within this series. Nicole has created a platform where she not only introduces her readers to these mental illnesses but forces us to walk in shoes of those who suffer and begin to discuss this topic that, at many times, would be considered taboo. I felt the pain and the heartbreak, the restraint, and the freedom, the distress, and the darkness. But I also experienced the small glimpses of light and hopefulness, the unconditional love displayed within the pages of this beautiful novel. I felt like I was a student at Dolor and truly got lost within the world Nicole so expertly created. Once I finished Even When I'm Gone, I had a major book hangover and was lost because what could I possibly read next that could measure up to the perfection of this novel? The answer… not much. I was left speechless and spent days trying to get my feelings and thoughts in order. I am in love with this world and pray that Nicole never stops writing because what she writes and how she writes is revolutionary. Though this novel ended on a cliffhanger, I have complete faith in Nicole for obtaining the happily ever after Ollie and Mia are so deserving of. First things first! I was not prepared for the emotional reck I was going to be throughout reading this book. The inner turmoil of Ollie!!! I want to hold him and slap him at the same time!! Ethan! Well you'll have to read the story to know about him. As if Mia's world wasnt crazy enough she is the victim of brutal bullying and her dad pulls the rug out from under her! I was not expecting that plot twist! Good one Nicole! For this being your second book you have blew me away! The stories and plots and twists have me holding my breath! I love how Nicole incorporates suicide into the story! This should be talked about! I recieved an ARC in exchange for my honest review and I cant wait for what's next!

I liked the first book more I gave this a 3.5 stars cause I detest when lead girls well authors write that story of the lead girl in a way using a secondary guy to find comfort until the lead comes back! Specially when the lead girl don’t even give them a chance it’s sooo dumb! Yeah the lead guy can do stuff with other girls but the lead girl has to be “pure”. The story in a way is repetitive! If in book 2 at least she would of stayed with Ethan instead with the lead Ollie we would have something to look for on book 3, Ollie fighting to get her back. I don’t even want to read book 3.

It is hard to put words to this review as the book was nothing less than an emotional experience. Nicole Fiorina’s writing is eloquent, dark, and represents the raw beauty that is the human condition. This is the second book in her Stay With Me series and should be read as such. The characterization is fully developed and wonderfully drawn out in manner that evokes palpable reactions from the reader. Nothing about the narrative is trite as Fiorina approaches her topics with gritty truths and authenticity. The plot is full of twists and turns that are woven into a spectacularly dynamic storyline. Books like this are the reason I read. 5 stars.

*ARC received for honest review* Nicole Fiorina does it again in book 2 of 3 in this series. I thought book one was a rollercoaster ride of emotions.. this one was even more emotional than the first. I felt like I was there in Dolar with Ollie and Mia. I was stressed, I was sad, I was anxious, I was happy.. I felt everything while reading this amazing book. I took my sweet time reading this one because I didn’t want it to end. I absolutely loved it. If you haven’t already read Stay With Me (book 1) then you definitely need to so you can read Even When I’m Gone when it releases on October 29th!

This book is everything and more. Nicole Fiorina did it again with the second book in Oliver and Mia story. Nicole’s books are like nothing I have read before. They are raw, emotional and take you on a journey you never expect. This book keeps you on edge and asking for more. Nicole attention to detail and description of the characters pain is poetic and beautiful and has you feeling right along with the characters. After reading book one you will definitely want to dive into this second book that is a book you will never forget.

I didn’t think the angst could be topped from the first book but Nicole delivered it and then some with book two! Please fellow readers....read this series if you love a good romance with angst, love, betrayal, and an amazing plot twist in the story!!! Cannot wait for book three!!!

I received this book as an ARC, and anticipated ARC after Stay with me. This was beatifically written, had you on the edge of your seat with anxiety, sadness, and all emotions from the first chapter to the last. I loved Ollie in the first book and I still loved him in the second book just as much. At times I wanted to strangle Mia but I tried to understand things from her point of view. I cant believe the cliffhanger in the end, and am dying to read the next book.

Even When I’m Gone is the second book in Stay With Me series. Just like in the first book, Nicole took me on an emotional ride.Joy, sadness, anger, love. That's all I felt when I read that book. This dark new adult romance had a lot of twists and turns, which made the book intriguing.Mia's been through so much in this book that I can't wait to see her hea. And Ollie... I can't wait to see what he'll do to save their relationship. I need book 3 ASAP.

Even When I’m Gone by Nicole Fiorina is an absolutely amazing Reformatory College Romance. This is the second d book in the Stay With Me Series and she knocked it out of the park. Nicole does an amazing job pulling you into the story. This story took me on an emotional roller coaster that I didn’t want to get off. I cannot wait to get my hands on the last book in the series Now Open Your Eyes that will be released on February 9, 2020.

Book two for this series got super twisty. I thought I knew who our prankster was and then didn't and then guessed and then was so thrown off. Also, a little long winded, but still served a purpose I do believe. My hope for book three is to find Ollie is helping himself heal without the constant need for Mia. I am so shocked. I'm so nervous.

Loved this second book in this series. Full of steam, angst, love , twist and turns at every corner. This book has it all. Mia and Ollie are fire ! But ..spoiler alert it leaves at a cliffhanger...when will they get thier HEA. I need book 3 like yesterday!!! I didn't see the Ethan twist coming and loved how his perspective came to view at the end. Really excited to see where Fiorina takes this story next .

This book saved the series for me. So glad I stuck with it. I am usually pretty good at correctly guessing things long before the end of a story. I did not guess correctly this time. I love when that happens.

Ollie and Mia’s story picks up where Stay With Me left off and it only gets better and better. More trials, more poetry, more sex and more character growth. I love the relationships and the push and pull Ollie had on me throughout. I love Mia and her strength that shines through and her independence she was forced to adapt. And THAT ENDING?! Cannot wait to plow through the next book…

I can't decide if I love this one or the first one more. I LOVED this book. It was so hard to read and broke my heart a million times, but it was worth it. This story was so good. It had me guessing as to who I could trust and who was the bad guy and I definitely did not see the ending coming. The STEAM in this book though 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Nicole is a new favorite author of mine and I will read anything she writes!

The second part of Mia and Ollie’s story was not without heartache, but it was also filled with hope. This book is filled with darkness, twists and turns, and an ending that will have you longing for the rest of the story! I cannot wait to read the final book in this trilogy!

Wow! What a roller coaster of a story! There were a few parts that dragged and were really slow, but then BAM! Plot twist. When that happened, I had to go back and re-read. I was thinking WTF just happened?! That cliffhanger though... O. M. G.

They just keep getting better and better. Reading the struggles Mia and Ollie are going through only remind me to appreciate the good things in life more. This series is definitely on my best series list!

You guys, this novel. Just wow. This book runs so much deeper than Mia, Ollie, and their story. The writing is phenomenal, her plot is explosive and I need book three NOW. I can not even be chill about it.

Okay I’ve never been a big reader but wanted to start and this was the first series I came across on kindle.... I’ve never been so attached and in love with two people and their story so fast, through all 3 books I was hooked the entire time!! So good wish there was more to come about Ollie & Mia!

Beautiful words, a story of unconditional love. The author truly has talent and knows how to sweep you into a book. At one point I forgot I wasn’t part of the story, 20/10 for sure! I will start the next book here in a few minutes!

I think Nicole is trying to ruin me. This book, OMFG this book. Even When I’m Gone is a masterpiece that I’m still processing days later. EWIG picks up months after Stay With Me ends and we are once again back at Dolor with Mia, Ollie and its other patients. Dolor has now become even more dark, twisted, sexual and violent than it has ever been. The secrets and lies that fill its halls are shocking and overwhelming. I don’t really want to go into the details of the storyline because I can’t do this book justice. Just know that Ollie and Mia are still fighting for each other despite insurmountable obstacles and with everyone at Dolor wielding emotional warfare in sick & twisted ways for their own reasons. Theirs is a love story taking place in hell and they have no one to trust, not even each other. ⁣ ⁣ This book will take you on an emotional journey. I can’t even tell you how I felt when I read the last page, except my heart hurt and my mind was numb. And Nicole did it again, just when I thought that I was getting a HEA, she pulled the rug out from under me and left with me with the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers. I might not emotionally survive until Book 3. I’m invested, my heart hurts and most of all, I’m praying that a HEA comes one day for Ollie and Mia because if anyone deserves it, it is them. ⁣ ⁣ The writing is perfection. This is a story like I have never read before in my life and it will leave an impression on me forever. I can’t even imagine what’s to come in the future from Nicole when Stay With Me and EWIG are her first books. This is unparalleled story telling at work as Nicole gives us a love story, a suspense, a psychological thriller and a commentary on mental illness all in one story! Even when I almost couldn’t bear to turn the page I knew I would not stop reading. I cannot recommend that you read Stay With Me and Even When I’m Gone enough. This story will suck you in and hold you captive until the end. And then you'll be screaming to not let go just yet when the story is over. What an incredible story! Even When I'm Gone had a different beat than Stay With Me. Nicole Fiorina kicked it up a notch and added suspense to this series. Her writing is truly amazing! I felt as if I was the fly on the wall at Dolor watching the scenes unfold. I felt the characters feelings. My heart broke for these two characters and then the author gave me hope and a light at the end of the tunnel and then left me stunned and speechless at the end. I usually say I can't wait for the next book but that is an understatement for this. I NEED the next book!

Book 2 in the Stay with Me series by Nicole Fiorina picks up a few months after book 1 and follows Mia and Ollie's tortured romance. I will be honest, i was eager and afraid to read this novel. I wanted to read this book through my fingers, terrified that my heart was going to be destroyed. I devoured this book, unable to stop reading or put it down. The prose was just beautiful and conjured imagery that was almost tangible. The references to music interspersed throughout the story expanded the emotions and tone and Nicole Fiorina has a playlist as well which elevates the reader's experience. I don't think I have highlighted as many lines in a novel since I took literature classes during my undergrad, and never purely for pleasure. This novel addresses issues of mental illness, bullying, self harm, suicide, sexual assault and personal growth. These topics can be difficult to address but are done in such a way that the reader feels not only invested in the struggles of the characters, but also as if they too have grown simply by consuming the words on the page. Can you say BOOK HANGOVER? Because that is exactly what I am going through after reading this story. It was flawless and an epic story that more than two people falling in love. I am so stunned by how phenomenal this book was. Nicole has a way with words that leaves me speechless. I once again find myself struggling to put my thoughts into words when it comes to this story and this world that Nicole has created. I am just struck stupid after reading this. Every word packs a punch and holds a story or a memory behind it. Every encounter is important and every detail is crucial to the story. Oliver and Mia’s Love is unmatchable. Their love for one another goes beyond your typical love story. Their passion and chemistry burned through the pages. It wasn’t about the sex. It was the connection that was important to them. “Her body was my kingdom come. Her divine kiss was my salvation. Her soul was mine’s paradise. Mia was my evermore.” Once again, Nicole has left me with my soul in her story and my heart in her hands. I can not wait to see what she brings next.
