Bought this for my almost 4 year old since I was getting one for his sister for our new distance learning plan. For the price I didn't mind getting him a journal slightly above his ability. He absolutely loves it!! He actually asked me to help him learn how to write his name. It is definitely more appropriate for an older kid, 5-10 years old. Keep in mind it uses primary writing lines (wide spacing with a light dashed line in the middle) so I would only get this for a 9-10 year old if they were still struggling with handwriting or writing large. All in all - paper quality is nice and the drawing space is a half page leaving a full page and a half for writing. Definitely recommend!

The product is cute and perfect for elementary child. However, the delivery was a gray van whom left the package in my drive way. Not on porch, sidewalk or the two steps. Just out in the gravel by my car. He tossed it there! Worst delivery ever!!
