There’s nothing more motivating than a good story.
Teacher turned paramedic, Albert Thweatt’s story began when he had to miss his family’s traditional nightly devotionals due to his new job schedule. He began writing his own devotionals based on Disney park attractions that his wife could share with their sons in his absence. He never imagined it would be the beginning of a new, incredible journey in the form of Disney Devotionals Book One which included 100 devotionals covering the attractions at Walt Disney World.
He was even more surprised and humbled to receive such positive feedback which led to the next chapter of Disney Devotionals Book Two which included another 100 entries, this time focusing on the unique attractions of Disneyland as well as all Disney resorts and cruise ships.
After writing book two, Albert felt this amazing story of being an author was coming to an end. However, he had no idea that God had plans for a final chapter with one last book, this time celebrating Disney screen magic.
No one tells stories better than Disney through their rich history of classic films. Disney movies are truly magical. Whether it’s the Prince’s enchanted kiss to awaken Snow White, Simba returning to challenge Scar and take his rightful place as king or Anna and Elsa saving frozen Arendelle, these classics have given us a front row seat to be part of the action, cheer for our favorite heroes, and even helped us learn to love a beast. In each devotional, he shares little known facts and fun trivia about each Disney film before relating that information to a motivating and encouraging thought to help you grow closer to God and find joy all around you.
