A MILITARY WIDOW TORN BETWEEN LOVE AND DUTY
Widowed Black Hawk pilot Kristie Donovan is determined not to fall for Mack Hanlon, the Army sniper she saved on a mission tied to a drug cartel. Army regulations about rank mean Mack is off-limits. Besides, she’s not risking what’s left of her heart on another man in Special Ops. But when Mack insists on protecting Kristie from a fellow soldier with a grudge, he sparks her hope for a second chance at love.
AN ELITE SOLDIER SHOOTING FOR ANOTHER CHANCE
Mack’s marriage failed because his ex-wife was done with all things Army. Now he wants to find a woman who understands his drive to serve and protect—a woman like the attractive Black Hawk pilot who pulled off the daring rescue mission. All he has to do is break through her defenses.
A DEADLY CARTEL AIMING FOR VENGEANCE
Mack’s victory is in sight when they learn the same cartel has targeted Kristie due to her connection to the men behind the death of the drug lord’s son—Mack’s Bad Karma Special Ops team. Though Mack is determined to protect Kristie, she has her own plan to keep herself, Mack, his daughters, and the Bad Karma team out of harm’s reach. But when the cartel captures her before she acts, can Mack and his team save her from the drug lord aimed at getting vengeance against them?

a kick-butt heroine and a wonderfully supportive and equally kick-but hero

This book has cussing, described action/violence (nothing terrible but it IS a military book), and on-page sex. If those things bother you, skip this one. Slight spoilers in this review. Nothing major. Ms. Brody writes books for readers who require more from their characters than just sex and dirty talk. Her heroes are, of course, strong, brave, and unfairly handsome. They are alphas, but not alpha-holes. Mack doesn't order Kristie around, and he doesn't try to change her. He not only accepts her for who she is, he finds her irresistible because she is not a cookie cutter girl. What sets this book apart from a lot of others in the military romance genre are Ms. Brody's heroines. Her heroines are also smart and capable and incredibly strong. Kristie wasn't just a pretty face or set dressing, she was bad@$$ and capable without being unbelievable. She's exactly the kind of “self-rescuing princess” type heroine I want to read about. I also appreciate that Ms. Brody very obviously has done copious amounts of research in regards to military operations and lives. If you're one of those people who clench your teeth when an author writes about the military but is totally clueless about how it works, you have nothing to worry about here. Ms. Brody nails it. Although this is absolutely a story about the love that Mack and Kristie develop for each other, I love love LOVED the way that Ms. Brody handled Kristie's husband's death - and life – with such incredible respect and dignity. Eric was a great guy, and she made sure that came across when she wrote about him. I loved that Kristie thought of him fondly, still with so much love, and that she didn't hide that from Mack, nor did Mack expect her to just move on and pretend that her husband never existed. I don't want to spoil anything, but tears were shed while reading “614” (if you read it, you will understand.) I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a kick-butt heroine and a wonderfully supportive and equally kick-but hero. If you're not sure about a military romance, you can't go wrong with this one.

Awesome Read!

Wow! Awesome book. If you love military Romance novels then this book is a must buy. It's well written with a storyline that flows well and is plenty hot and steamy. It has plenty of action and the storyline is believable. I never felt like the storyline was rushed. Tracy Brody has been officially added to my must read military Romance list. I can't wait to read the stories of the rest of the guys from Bad Karma.

A must read!

Another Tracy Brody book I could not put down. The opening act draws you right in to the action and still provides a lot of background. The characters are so real because they have real backgrounds you feel like you can relate to them right away. I love the development of the team as the story unfolds. Lots of highs and lows to keep you drawn in. The accuracy of the military action is spot on and well researched. Romance and lots of feeling, Kristie and Mack keep you rooting for them throughout the story. The ending is perfect! Can not wait for Book #3! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

danger and adventure

I loved how much we learned in this book - about the teams and what they do, plus some pretty handy escape techniques. The characters were awesome. I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning reading this. Danger and adventure and action and family and romance. I just can’t get enough!

Awesome Military Romantic Suspense

This is the second book in Tracy Brody's Bad Karma series and it was so worth the read! The heroine is a Black Hawk pilot and the hero an Army special operator (Delta). These characters feel real, real problems, real thoughts, and feelings. Its obvious Ms. Brody did her military research and the authenticity of the military life comes through. The suspense plot keeps the action flowing and is well written. Can't wait for the next book!

MILITARY SACRIFICE & NEW BEGINNINGS!! LOVE IT!!

Read this book in 2 evenings! An amazing story of military hero’s, love & new beginnings! So authentic I felt like I was watching the story unfold before my eyes, not just in my mind. I’ve lived in Savannah and the Carolinas among these families and it made their sacrifice and hard work real. Can’t wait for the next book! I didn’t want it to end!

I am loving this series.

I am loving this series. Action, romance, great characters. I loved Mack and Kristie. I loved that Kristie was a pilot. I'm loving the men of Bad Karma. I couldn't put this book down and can't wait for Tony's story.

Exciting!

I loved this book! Tracy makes the characters feel like friends, you can’t help rooting for them. I enjoyed seeing a tough guy as a loving Dad. It was exciting and enjoyable to read.

DEADLY AIM IS A SPECTACULAR STORY!

Tracy Brody continued her Bad Karma Ops series with a spectacular story of widowed Black Hawk pilot, Kristie, and sniper, Mack. Where Desperate Choices was the prequel leading in to the series, Deadly Aim is set about 12 years in the future with Ray Lundgren now the team leader for Bad Karma team. Kristie's late husband was also Special Forces and, naturally, the last thing she wants is to fall in love with another soldier in that high-risk field. She outranks him, too, which is against Army regulations. But when she saves his life, transfers to his post, and meets his precious daughters, it should be a slam dunk! EXCEPT for the cartel leader who is out for her blood.....another terrific story from Tracy Brody. I'm so looking forward to the rest of the series and the many wonderful stories Brody will bring to her fans in the future.

Intense action packed read!

This team may not always get along, but when it comes right down to it, they are a team and will always have each-others backs. They actually get along about as well as a family of brothers do. An Army Black Hawk pilot, a woman, and survivor, Kristie Donovan is all of these and more. She’s is called in to train the Columbian military but finds herself in a dangerous rescue that could put her in danger. Bad Karma is a team of Army special forces that get the tough jobs. While working one of these jobs, they need an extraction, but when things go sideways the whole team is in danger. The only saving grace is that it’s not easy to find them or who they are. I loved this story. The plot, characters, and writing are great. I was drawn in from the first page and kept hostage until the end. Kristie and Mack have a lot of obstacles to overcome before they can move forward in their lives and find the brightness they both deserve. This was my first read of this series and of Tracy Brody’s stories, but I find that she will be a regular in my Kindle App. I really like her story and her writing. I need to find time to go back and read the first book in the Bad Karma series and watch for the next story in the series. I give this story a 5-star review and recommend it to readers who enjoy Military, suspense, or stories with heroines that know how to take care of themselves, but also know when to let the Hero take care of her and help her as well.

Fantastic in every way

This story is so much more than just a book. It is emotion, passion, caring and loyalty and so much more. The writing is fantastic. The characters are so well written with heart and soul. While reading this story the feelings ping around all over the place. Mack is such a great person. He wants so much for himself and his girls. He is a beautiful soul. Kristie blew me away. She is fierce and independent and never says quit. She brings a whole new meaning to kick butt and take names. The letter 614 from her husband had me in tears while laughing and envious all at the same time. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

DANGEROUS ACTION PACKED SUSPENSE!!!!!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "DEADLY AIM" Kristie Donovan is a Black Hawk pilot widowed she saved an army sniper Mack Hanlon on a mission tied to a Drug Cartel they work together and regulations forbid fratranizing with each other Mack wants to protect Kristie from a fellow soldier who gas a grudge against her. Mack is looking for a woman just like Kristie who understands he wants to serve and protect the same Cartel she rescued him from us out for vengeance because of Kristie's connection to the men who killed the Drug Lord's son "MACK'S BAD KARMA SPECIAL OPS TEAM" when she gets kidnapped by the Cartel can he and team save her in time can they get their HEA. This is one terrific well written story you don't want to miss reading the alpha heroes in this story are so engaging, interesting, its full of suspense, intrigue, danger it's definitely a page turner Tracy Brody did a great job writing this captivating, addicting story you can't put it down until finished I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to get this book I can't wait to read next book in this excellent series.

ACTION, SUSPENSE AND MORE

Action, suspense, sexy, steamy, on the edge of the seat story! Mack is the Alpha of Alpha males - warrior, father, sexy hunk and all round good guy fighting for what’s right. Living for his daughters and his team after his wife left him because of his career in Special Forces. Then there is Kristie, the skilled helicopter pilot who came back for him in the jungle. She put her life on the line for her country while saying goodbye to her dream of a family after the tragic death of her husband. Special operators were meant to be out of bounds. This book is on the edge thrilling, with a bit of everything. I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s writing style and how she kept me involved. The characters were leap off the page real. I can’t wait to read more in the series. I give this book a 5 star rating. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in return for my honest review

Intensely Awesome!!

This book is packed with everything – suspense, action, violence, bad guys, love, passion, hot and steamy romance and death. The connection between Kristie and Mack is there from the beginning though both have baggage from their pasts. Mack’s from his divorce and having two little girls that he shares with his ex-wife. Kristie’s from losing her husband in the line of duty over two years ago. This causes them to be a little more cautious about doing anything about their attraction. When they finally give in, it is electrifying. Add to the party the bad guy who stalks then ends up kidnapping and torturing Kristie and you have one hard to put down book. This was excellently written with steamy sex, passion that can be felt through the words and a great flow throughout the entire book. Can’t wait to read another one. I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy.

Strong Female Military Lead

I thoroughly enjoyed this military suspense novel and can’t wait to read the first book as well as the next books in the series. Kristie Donovan flies Black Hawk helicopters and on a recent mission, saved a group of special op soldiers in Columbia. Shortly after her marriage, her military husband was killed in action. One of the men she rescued, Mack Hanlon is a member of Bad Karma Special Ops. She swore she would never get involved with someone in special ops, but Mack and his daughters make it hard for her to resist. When the mission she flew makes her a target of the cartel, Mack and the entire Bad Karma team will come to her rescue. Thrilling suspense as Kristie and Mack negotiate life in the military. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Romantic and dangerous suspense

Deadly Aim (Bad Karma Special Ops Team Book 2) by Tracy Brody is a very well written military romantic suspense. This book has introduced several very interesting and engaging, equally alpha military heroes. Mack is especially wonderful as he pursues what he wants with determination, persistence and compromise. Kristie is equally strong in her own right as she accepts her grief and leaves the past in the past, embracing her memories. The plot of this book is not the only suspenseful element. The relationship is also suspense as Mack and Kristies have several obstacles to maneuver. The danger element though will keep you glued to the edge of your seat in anticipation of the good guys prevailing. Overall, this book delivers on both. Good wins over evil allowing Mack and Kristie their much deserved HEA. I also look forward to keeping up with Mack and Kristie in the books that are sure to follow! I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.

Heroes in camouflage

“She’d never been a big believer in fairy tales, but today she was claiming her happily-ever-after with her own version of a prince—a hero who wore camouflage and slayed evil beasts with his sniper rifle.” Doubt assailed Black Hawk pilot Kristie as she became involved with another Special Ops guy. Losing her husband two years ago almost did her in. She didn’t think she could risk her heart again. This is a superbly written story of the dedication and sacrifices made by our elite forces and their families. The action, interactions both physical and emotional, and family drama were all believable and fast paced. Overall, an excellent book. I’m looking forward to more from Tracy Brody. This is my voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Covert Operations

Kristie is a warrant officer and Mack is enlisted. Being with each other is against regulations, but will it stop them? Kristie has been alone for two years, since the death of her husband. Mack is divorced with two girls. Kristi is on a training mission when she realizes that the team she is picking up is led by a friend of hers and then when one of his soldiers is rescued there is instant attraction. Can they resist each other? Will the cartel that is after the team and the pilot of the helicopter that rescued them get in the way? This is an action packed story, with loads of covert action and a HEA. Great story that will keep you hooked ton the end. Can't wait for the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Deadly Aim

Kristie Donovan, a widower who lost her husband when he was on a mission, is a Black Hawk pilot. She was on what she thought was a training mission but ended up saving Mack Hanlon and his team out of Cambodia after his team went there to save a kidnapped girl. She is attracted to Mack but has vowed to not fall for another Special Ops guy and also Army regulations state that she can’t get involved with a NCO. Mack has two daughters but his marriage failed because he reenlisted. She feels someone is following her. Is there or is she just imagining it. A great story that I just couldn’t put down. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

OH WOW I love the story

Kristie is a widowed Black Hawk pilot. She hasn't wanted anyone in her life since her husband died and especially doesn't want another military man in her life. She flies a last minute mission for another team and ends up on the cartels hit list. Mack is a divorced father of two and is interested in Kristie after she saves his life. She ends up transferring to another states and ends up living close to Mack. As Kristie and Mack grow closer the cartel is looking for her. Will Mack and his team keep her safe? A must read. Romance, action and a sweet journey I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

a kick-butt heroine and a wonderfully supportive and equally kick-but hero

Colombia drug cartel, suspense, danger, kidnapping, rescue and so much more.

Colombian drug cartel, suspense, danger, kidnapping, rescue and so much more. This suspenseful read kept me devouring the pages trying to figure out what would happen next. Kristie is a chief in the Army and a black hawk helicopter pilot. She was sent to train Colombian Army pilots but told to pick up a package. Sergeant First Class Mack Hanlon is in Special Ops and part of B Company stationed at Fort Bragg. He is their weapons and team sniper but also a single dad to two daughters. The storyline was well written, intriguing with explosive chemistry between Kristie and Mack. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I loved this book!!!

This is an honest review of an Advanced Reader Copy. Deadly Aim (Bad Karma Special Ops) is a deadly fantastic book. I fell in love with Kristie and Mack from the very beginning of this book and would have been happy to read more about them. They meet under very unlikely and dangerous circumstances, with Kristie saving Mack's life. Let me tell you, Kristie is one kick a@@ woman!! But when an unknown threat comes for Kristie, it's up to Mack to protect the woman he's fallen in love with by any means necessary. This is a book full of adventure, romance, and a secret love affair... that fools no one. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great read that keeps you turning the page until the very end!

Great romance and intrigue

I loved this sexy Special Ops story with great characters, romance and intrigue. Kristine was a Black Hawk helicopter pilot and the widow of a special I am old husband who bled out in Afghanistan. She vowed to never fall for a special old guy again. Howevrr, she goes on a "training" flight in the jungle of Columbia and it was actually an extraction of a special old team. She had to.fire a gun and killed someone in a car shooting at them. Later they found out it was the drug lord' s only son and he was killed. There was a lot of romance and intrigue, but the was great. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy from Hidden Gems.

Awesome military romantic suspense, well written that the reader feels like they're part of it.

Wonderful military romantic suspense. The characters are written so realistic that you feel as tho you're actually watching or are part of Mack and Kristie's lives. The story has intrigue, suspence, military action and some steam. Much of it is very similar to what true soldiers and their families to through. I loved reading this story and can't wait to read more books by Ms. Brody. She also added an epilogue to give you a bit more and I thank her for that. I received a complementary copy of this book via Hidden Gems and chose to write a review.

2 wounded warriors find a second chance at love - a sexy thrill ride in a high adrenaline series

Kristie is a widow while Mack's special ops career proved too much for his ex-wife. After he's rescued by Kristie, a Black Hawk pilot - always a welcome change of pace in the military romance genre - he's intrigued but she's wary and not mention the Army's fraternization policy which any relationship between them a no no. When appears either their prior op, a soldier with a grudge or both put her in danger, Mack and his team step up to protect her. She'll need their help not mention her ingenuity and fortitude to survive the enemy until Mack's team can save her.

A really good, entertaining story

*****Deadly Aim (ARC) by Tracy Brody: A really good, entertaining story Good storyline, that started out strong, and maintained a nice pace. Drug cartel kidnappings pit the bad guys against the good guys. A strong woman in a man’s world.... and unintended consequences. Really liked the characters and the team rapport! Sweet and steamy relationship build with Mack and Kristie, as they worked to keep things under the radar due to military fraternization rules. A really good, entertaining story! —PTators

Can love overcome?

4.5**** stars. There is lots of action predominantly with a Columbian Drug lord. She is Warrant Officer who flies helicopters. He is a Staff Sergeant who is an Elite Army Ranger. She is piloting when he needs to leave a hot zone. Attraction, bad... Military Protocol prohibition fraternizations between ranks. See how they try to work out a problem that endangers both careers. Interesting with lots of action. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book

A SUSPENSEFUL AND VERY DRAMATIC DRAMA

This second book starts off with an air rescue of a high value target who was kidnapped by the Cartel. The pilot's mission is to bring back the kidnapped girl and the Special Ops Team sent in to save her. An intense flight under heavy gun fire especially when the Pilot realized there was a man left behind. The amazing female pilot turned the helicopter around and made an amazing air pick up for the missing man. A very captivating and heavy dramatic adventure with a horrendous ending.

What a story

What a story line about the Bad Karma Special Ops crew. This is my first book in this series, but I very much enjoyed reading it. I found Kristie and Mack to be great characters, the story line was filled with intense and at time scary people. This is a wild ride with lots going on and an interesting plot. I requested and received a copy thru Hidden Gems and this is my voluntary review. If you like military romance give this book a try.

Action-packed

The action was absolutely brilliant! Kristie is one strong and competent soldier. She's amazing and I can't believe how she even tried to fight herself and her feelings. It was pretty amazing how Mack broke down her barriers and how they eventually fought for each other. They definitely succeeded in learning from their pasts.

Military romance

Deadly Aim is well written, easy to read, and full of adventure. Spoiler (sorta) ahead: The story is a healthy mix of romance and military action with a bit heavier action guiding the storyline than I would have preferred, BUT it's well done. The heroine is very take-charge which is awesome but left me a little surprised how the ending played out in multiple aspects which left me doing a double-take. I won't say more because I don't want to take away from its employability. Overall it's a good story that I recommend.

Great Romantic Suspense

This was another fast-paced suspenseful read with great characters. Mack and Kristie were wonderful characters with amazing chemistry. It is an intriguing read packed full of action, suspense, danger and a riveting rescue that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Excellent military suspense book

Another well written military story with danger, rescues, kidnapping and making all things possible. Mack black ops sniper and widowed Kristi black hawk pilot meet on a rescue mission, although she thought it was a training exercise in Columbia. As soon as the met sparks flew. But they had to be very careful, he was an NCO and she was a Warrant Officer. There's a lot of action in this book and an excellent read. There is plenty of heat in this book as well. HEA.

Awesome

ARC review. Deadly Aim was an awesome book. It was everything I like in military romances and more. It was intense and action packed with a twist of romance and suspense. The characters were well developed and their chemistry was off the charts. I was swept up in the story from the first page until the end of the book. Can’t wait to read more by Tracy Brody.

Deadly Aim

Mack and Kristie will have you glued to the pages in this action packed story. She is a strong woman working in a mans world. Her hearts been broken and she refuses to go down that road again. Mack is determined to keep her safe and out of the hands of the cartel. As their feelings blur it gives her hope of finding love again but will it get in the way of the mission? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Beautiful read

Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters, who seem to get their second chance at love and life. You also watched the emotional development between Mark and Kristie. The chemistry was palatable. It just gave you that warm feeling. I want to read more from this author I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Deadly Aim

The story grabs you and pulls you in. You're held captive by the action, adventure, and romance. The characters are wonderful and you can't help but fall in love with them. Their story to romance is an enjoyable read with a few steamy parts. Definitely recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great Military Romance

I loved this book. Seriously who wouldn't love a bad ass chicken who can fly a black hawk. She is who I wish I could be. Then to fall in love with a bad ass hunk special ops. I can't wait to read more of this series. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Must read

I received a free ARC of this book and want to leave a voluntary review. I loved the book it had everything u want in a book. Not just romance a book u could really sink ur teeth into.

Loved this book

I have always had great respect for our military but even more now. The love affair between Kristie and Mack was sweet and you were hoping they would end up together. Great book.

a kick-butt heroine and a wonderfully supportive and equally kick-but hero

Deadly Aim was right oon the mark!

Great read! I dont normally write reviews but I sincerely enjoyed reading this book. Great story, wonderful characters and lots of action!

Terrific book!

Just finished reading this. Another great read from Tracy! Action, romance and the perfect ending.

Plenty of action and attraction!! 🚁😍

This book grabbed me from the get go, not only does it have action, adventure but pain, loss and hop as well as a good dollop of attraction and a host of great characters. You connect with Kristie and Mack straight away and really want them to get together but they have a lot to push them apart and stop them from acting on how they really feel. I loved all the characters and the comradely the guys as well as gals show is fantastic especially they way the all come together when needed and they embrace Kristie's loss and know it is part of her. I can not wait to read the next book in this series! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

who survives?

Having read the first in this of course I had to check this one out. Transported to drama in this there is Kristie and Mack with what is up with them and their story. Stubbornness sometimes is a good fuel for what you think you are not going to do but actually the heart will have different plans. These two were interesting enough than add what events unfold and you have do not put this down until it is over reading. The chemistry is sizzling but will it be enough to melt both of the walls that are in place? Our hearts though will be put in our throat as the climax begins to spiral and who will survive? Will the reader ?

Could not out it down

The storyline is top notch!! Can not wait to read more by this author. Could not put it down. The chemistry between the main characters is impressive!! The military scenes keep you on the edge of your seat!! Well written!!

It gets good

This was a good book overall. Enough action & romance to keep things interesting. It was a little slow.to stay but got better the further I read. I received this book free in exchange for my unbiased review

Incredible book!

What an incredible book. This book has all the feels. Romance, action, adventure and mystery all in one book. The ending was perfect! I love that this book has a strong female pilot in the military.

Great Aim

This was a good book. To see 2 people battle wanting their career, wanting a relationship, and trying to protect friends was intense.

Mack and Kristie...yes!

Great one!! Can’t wait to read more of this series! An amazing way to start!

Love love love

Love this book so much. It kept me reading I could not put it down. The action and romance was spot on.
