Daniel Tiger's 3-Minute Bedtime Stories (Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood)

I'm a little disappointed in this book. Several stories are just shorter versions of stories that are in the Five Minute story book collection. I wish there were entirely different books.

I love that these are 3 minute stories rather than 5 minute stories for those days when we're doing naptime or bedtime a little late. I think there are 2 stories that kind of overlap with the 5 minute story Daniel Tiger book, but they're different enough that it doesn't bother us.

I have purchased the 5 minute stories as well. I like the 3 minute one but I don't love it. But I think its a great addition to your Daniel Tiger collection. if your child's attention span can't last through the five minute stories then this one is for you.

We've had this book about a year now. It was bought as a birthday gift for a Daniel Tiger loving two year old. We didn't have any other Daniel Tiger, or DT as we call him, books so no duplicate stories were acquired in our case. However if this isn't the beginning of your little one's DT library you are likely to find duplicates. Over the course of the year the book has held up great. The binding is good. Ours still looks new. But it has very rarely been toddler handled. It's mostly adult handled during storytime. When we started reading this book my little one had just turned two. The stories were a great length. Perfect for introducing a child to a level above simple board books with two or three word sentences. This was a nice transition away from baby books. The stories are engaging. You can discuss the contents and pictures or just read little one to sleep. Even as my child approaches three we still read this a few times a week and it hasn't become boring. I think this was a good investment as a first storybook for a Daniel Tiger fan and would recommend it.

There are a couple of well done stories- that mirror the TV show, which of course is why my son likes them. There are also a couple of stories that are pretty lazy- Daniel is looking at "pictures" of things that happened in the show. My son (2+) gets a little confused and frustrated that the rest of the "story" isn't there. Overall, I would still probably recommend it because it is pretty and again, a couple of the stories are favorites of my son. However, the "five minute story" Daniel Tiger book is better and has better stories overall.

These are cut in half shorts from the 5 minute Daniel story book which are great in a pinch of quickly reading for bedtime but due to that it makes them otherwise to simple for my preschooler. Good to have in library for certain hurry it’s late and read a short story but for longevity of book : 5 mins >

Same stories as in the 5 minute book but my toddlers don’t seem to care. We read through the book over quite a few nights and now they “read” to each other, they like having both the 3 minute and 5 minute books (or to them- the green and blue books haha) we love Daniel in this home, the slow pace and nice lessons, even if the merch is quite redundant

This book fits nicely into my child’s library. I love the soft feel of the book it’s still hard cover and it is easy for my 2.5 year old to flip the pages. And nice bold print and large font so I can point out characters that’s she knows from the show. Great 3 minute stories for night time reading.

My daughter is obsessed with daniel tiger so this book is perfect. Lots of short stories however none of them are bedtime themed! Yet there are multiple bedtime themed stories in the 5 minute stories non bedtime daniel tiger book. The glue on the spine of the book has come off too so all the pages are starting to unravel now(this is mainly because she has to take it to bed with her every single night!)

I bought this for my granddaughter when I came for a weekend visit and we ended up reading through the 130-some pages nine times before I left. If your little precious one likes Daniel Tiger, they'll like this one a lot. Note that many of the single paperbacks are included in this volume. I had given her the "Five Minute Stories" recently for her birthday and that volume also contained many of the single, paperback versions. In short, If you have a Daniel Tiger fan, purchase both hardbacks and avoid buying a dozen single books.

We absolutely love these 3-5 minute storybooks. When our daughter turned 1, we replaced nightly bottle time with reading. We have been doing this for 1.5 years already and it's one of her favorite times of the day. They are packed with bright colors and great stories long enough but not too long to keep our 2.5 year old interested. We have about 8 of them and will continue to add to the collection. She will be learning to read with these before we know it. Highly recommended!

This book is nice and stories are quick reads. However, the stories are hardly stories. We also own the 5-Minute version, which my girls ask for all the time. This book does not compare. I would recommend the 5-minute version to anyone with young children. The 3-Minute one? Meh. Probably not. However, my three year old likes looking at it by herself. But she also prefers the 5 minute book for looking at by herself.

My 3 yo LOVES Daniel Tiger and the Daniel Tiger books. That led us to get all the books available. Unfortunately this book seems to just have abbreviated versions of the stories from the 2 5-min stories books. It's still great and our son loves them, but you don't really need this book if you have the other two.

We have the 5 minute stories and I often am cutting them down. The three minute stories are just the right length. You still get the whole story but without the extra fluff. We read these stories over and over and over, so it adds up. Highly recommend for parents who spend hours reading Daniel Tiger stories to their kids.

It's a GREAT book for children to read to and to help learning to read.I have a 8 yr old Autism child and she loves for me to read to her and she reads along.She loves Daniel Tiger so it helps to keep her attention focused and ask questions.

My daughter loves this book. Since we got it we’ve hardly read any other books. She retired the 5 minute stories and just wants “the blue one”.

My 24 month old loves Daniel Tiger and so loves this book. We at least one story from everyday before bed and nap time. She also enjoys just sitting and looking through the pages. A few of the pages have been ripped but that is to be expected, I think we'll be moving onto the 5 minute stories soon enough!

I bought this book for my grandson and he loved it so much I had to buy one to keep at my house too! The stories are great, and the illustrations are full page. Very appealing for a one year old!

This has small snippets of actual episodes made into short stories. My daughter is totally addicted to this book and just loves the stories. Excellent book for the Daniel Tiger fan.

This is great for bedtime! Toddler loves to ask for more bedtime stories. They're nice and short, and have a lovely story. It's a nice hardcover book. It's a really great value for what you pay.

2.5 year old likes watching daniel tiger. Book helps to reinforce ideas and themes from the corresponding episodes. Now is almost 3 and enjoying the 5 minute stories version.

Our toddler loves this book. The stories are quick to read and the pages are full of colorful scenes from the neighborhood. It’s a favorite that is regularly read repeatedly.

This book is the perfect size and I like the cushiony hard cover. All the stories within this book are the perfect amount of time to read for the attention span of a small child and the stories are engaging. When a question is asked, my daughter immediately answers as if she is speaking to the characters in the story herself. It also kind of helps that she likes the TV show that's on PBS. :)

Love this book! It goes along great with the show so you can sing the parts while reading. Pictures are bright and colorful and hold my baby’s attention. Stories are short and sweet! If you are a Daniel Tiger loving family, get this book!

This book is worth every penny. Very nice and well made. The stories are definitely longer than three minutes but I’m 100% good with that. Just gives me extra time with my twins before bedtime.

I ordered this book for my granddaughter who is 3. She watches Daniel Tiger on TV and thoroughly enjoys the show and the songs. When reading this book, she wants me to keep reading the next story because she enjoys them so much. I don't think it is a stall tactic for bedtime either! I highly recommend.

Lots of easy to read stories. There are some intentionally blank pages between stories which seems odd, but my daughter likes it so easy to recommend.

This is our go to bedtime book and she loves loves loves it! Daniel tiger is one of her favorites (the other is super why. That’s the only 2 shows I’ve exposed my baby too)! But I just love Daniel Tiger and how it was grown from Mister Rogers! Mental health is so important to me and this just teach kids (and parents)!

When I received my book the laminate on the front and back cover was all unaligned and there were creases on the front and back as well. Something went wrong in the making of this book and they apparently considered it good enough to send out. But all I had to do was call and report my issue and I was sent out a new one free of charge. I received the new one the next day and it is just fine! I also have the Daniel Tiger 5 minute stories and my child and I love them!

Better than exercise for low price

Sometimes I like to take my time and read long books, that my son is going to stop me at every second and ask a bunch of extra questions. However, sometimes it's late, we've run past bed time and I need something quick and simple to get him to bed fast. That is why I like this book. I know these tales are short and I'm not going to be looking at how many pages are left until the end because I'm tired and he's tired. The pictures and beautiful and the stories are summarized well (they are shorter versions of the TV series episodes). As always, Daniel always gets a good message across and ends with his "ugga mugga" phrase. It has a nice thick cover on it and is value for the price.

My 20 month old son is in love with Daniel! He loves books in general, but he got this as a Christmas present and we have been reading stories from it every night since. I love the morals of the stories to be kind and to be yourself. I'm thinking about even getting the 5 minute story book as well!

These are great--parents learn about parenting skills just as much as kids do. The themes are so great for helping my child learn about kindness, self regulation, and new experiences. What great value for so many stories. One comment is they are a biiiiiiiiit wordy. My 2 year old loves books but the wordiness still gets him a bit. I'd recommend for 3 year olds over 2 year olds. But these are the BEST for the themes and the educational value.
