Dake Annotated Reference Bible-KJV-Large Print

I thoroughly enjoyed my Dakes KJV regular size over the past 25 years, however the print is very small and difficult for me to read now. The large print edition Dakes KJV Bible is great. The new 3 column size works well with all of the notes that come packed in the book, however it makes for a very large book. I tried several XXL Bible covers made of nylon, however they did not fit. I ended up getting the Dakes vinyl book cover made specifically for the large print bible, the fit is perfect

This bible will be treasued. It is the best bible we have ever owned! It is the large print edition and has 3 columns per page. We bought a Dakes 25 years ago but the print was way too small for us now and was worn out. Highly recommend this bible!

This is, bar none, the best study Bible, I've ever encountered. Used the world over, by ministries where you really see God's presence, grace, power, and glory in action. If you want to be on fire for the Lord, and grow ever-increasingly closer to Him, this is a wonderful Bible to learn from! This Bible is a pure joy to read, more than any other study Bible I've used. Make sure to have a few bookmarks and a note pad handy. You will find yourself blissfully digging, and digging, (and making notes), and digging some more. It's a gold mine of information, interesting facts, linked data, history, etc. It is truly FUN to read and study. Even if you're of a non-Charismatic belief system, the big majority of the notes and commentaries would still apply to you! All "hot" denominations, whether Baptist, Assemblies of God, Full Gospel, etc. will be blessed, encouraged, educated and edified by this Bible. I purchased the large text, large notes, genuine leather Bible. It is just beautiful and will be used and cherished for many years to come. This version, (ISBN-13: 978-1558291225 / ISBN-10: 1558291229) is huge. All the text is easy to read. I bought 2 extra Dake Bibles for Christmas presents this year. I just wish Dake or someone else, would make a semi-stiff leather case, or well made high denier nylon one, which would fit this Bible. I've only been able to find cheap looking vinyl ones, which will no doubt wear out quickly. This very large version is not the one you take to church, this is mostly for study. Get a smaller sized Dake for toting around. P.S. If you're a person who attends a "dull" church, and/or you feel unfulfilled, unsatisfied, unsaved, lost, confused, and a 100 miles from God - reading this Bible and it's wonderful commentary and study notes, would be a big help. Don't let the fact it's a King James scare you. Any words or expressions, which may be hard at first, are lovingly explained. You will be guided from subject to subject, and reading to reading. Just ask God to help you understand, and He will. If you've never really read a Bible, look in the back in the "concordance" (a list of words in the Bible and where they're located) and pick a word or topic, and go exploring! You may be seeking God, and not know how to find Him. You may not even know Him yet, but HE knows YOU. Did you know that even the hairs on your head are numbered?! (Matthew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.) Seek Him and you shall find Him. You need to be saved, by trusting in His Son, Jesus Christ. Very pleased with the Dakes. I lent it to a friend 20+ years ago, and now since I’m reunited with this purchase I can’t explain the anger of not having it these many years lol and the joy of the info and insight I’ve obtained in this short amount of time of having it again. It’s a absolute great investment in your spiritual growth. It’s very large and very heavy to carry around everyday. This tool is rich in info, quality is good, and because I’m over 50 I love the large print. A exceptional study tool, Reference, Notes, and very good Hebrew & Greek dictionary.. A integral part of Spiritual growth .. Be Well

I’ve been wanting a Dakes Annontated Reference Bible for awhile and finally have one. I’m pleased with it. I like that it’s large print but it is big and heavy so I won’t be carrying it around with me to other places besides home. I love that you can read it and then scroll down to the bottom or to the sides of the pages and look at the references, it opens everything up more, helps you get a better understanding of what you’ve read. I wish it was less heavy and a little smaller to make it more easier to carry but all in all, well worth what I paid.

Book is packaged very well for shipment, no damage. Comes in an outside regular corrugated box, and inside, the box pictured. Book is wrapped in plastic inside pictured box. Lies flat on spine when open. Lots of info on each scripture, great for study. I got the large print, which makes for a heavier book. The smaller print may be too small for a lot of people.

I absolutely love this bible and all the notes/explanations of the scriptures in every chapter as well as all the cross references to expound more on what you are reading. I paid extra for the large print and it’s worth it!

I stumbled over this Bible while looking for a Thompson Chain Reference, which is apparently no longer in print from the original publishers. I had never before heard of Dake and was curious so I ordered the original hardback version of the KJV translation but found the font just a bit too small for my 60 year old eyes. So after seeing reviews of the large print, I ordered. The font is a bit bigger but I do still need to use a magnifier for comfortable reading during long periods of study. This Bible is huge and heavy. Not the kind to be carried off to church but for a desk Bible, it will serve the purpose. I do highlight, underline, and make my own notes in my Bibles. The paper of this one is thin and the highlights do bleed through as does the pen. Not something I actually mind but some might find this a problem. Normally, I prefer a more modern translation than the KJV but when I discovered that the KJV I've had since 1985 had somehow gotten wet and mildewed, I decided it was time for a new one. The extensive notes done by Mr. Dake are almost overwhelming but I appreciate having them. I did have to watch some videos to learn how to use the notes and follow the references but once I saw it in action, it was pretty easy to use. Although, a word of warning. The man held to some beliefs that some might find disagreeable and those beliefs are reflected in his work. So I would not recommend this Bible to a brand new Christian. Utilizing Mr. Dake's notes requires prior knowledge of scripture as well as practiced discernment. Remember, this is one man's view of the entire Bible. Do your own research and study then decide for yourself what to believe. Still, it's like getting your hands on his personal Bible and a lifetime of notebooks. There are many well known and some not so well known Christians whose personal Bible and notes I would love to see like this.

Wow, I really love the large print!!

This is the 4th copy of this Bible that I have owned and I absolutely love it. It is like having several study books and a bible all in one. The large print is really great and the extra study material in the back is very helpful. My only issues is I can never find a Bible carrier that is large enough and I have to carry it in a small tote but its worth it. I'm actually planning to purchase another copy as a gift for my sister's birthday.

I ordered a Duplicate Bible of the 1 I have for years of Bible Study that's worn out, falling apart. It's the BEST Bible I've ever had. BUT,,,, my New Drakes Bible has a BIG PROBLEM. After a while I decided to put Index Tabs on each book. That's when I found the 5 O.T.BOOKS ARE MISSING IN MIDDLE OF O.T.. Now I just found them & have had this new Bibke since January,,too late to get help from Amazon where I ordered it. WHAT DO I DO?????????🙏🙏

This Bible is so beautiful and very detailed. I am glad I ordered the large print. Highly highly recommend the large print if you wear reading glasses for sure. There is so much information in this Bible it can’t I even be explained. So glad I was able to purchase one. Worth the investment this will be studied and used for a very long time.

Great study helps, I use with my Jimmy Swaggart Expositor's Study Bible. The Dake's Bible has a cheap cover that you have to be careful with. It doesnt really feel like leather. I believe it's some type of paper. The Expositor's Study Bible that can be purchased at sonlivetv.com has a beautiful, durable leather cover.

I really like Dake's bibles bought my first one back in the 70s', it is about wore out so I bought the large print. I just wish I could find a good leather cover for it. You can really tell it is a high quality bible, and Dake's comments are a great study tool. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Beautiful Bible! Love King James Version .. the large print is excellent... plenty of reference material. Everything is easy to follow. It’s a nice big Bible, it’s a little weighty but that’s due to all the wonderful references and other material that’s provided. I’m very pleased with the purchase.

Wasn't giant print like advertised :( was disappointed in this Bible.. don't get me wrong I love all bibles but was disappointed in the way this one was laid out. But on the other hand my husband being a preacher loved it. So each to their own .

Great study Bible. Everything I expected. As a lifetime student and teacher of theology, it is one of three study Bibles that I use besides various commentaries. Nice cover, great study notes and overall a good investament. Slightly slow at getting here.

I bought my husband a Dakes Bible when we first got married. The print got too small for him so I bought him a larger print one he had had his other one 35 years. This is a wonderful translation.

Still waiting for return slip to be printed. This was advertised as large print. it was actually VERY SMALL print. Macular degeneration prevents me from reading the font. please accept return, and if it does come in large print, I am interested...Thank you.

The Dake Annotated Bible is packed full of helpful side notes. The large print version is a welcomed feature to the failing eyes. Any denomination can benefit from the best annotationed book I have encountered. You really don't have to agree with every comment on scripture to get a deeper understanding of the Word. Big letter edition for the less than perfect eyes.

This is a great bible. I love reading the large print, and I love reading the notes. Even though the notes are not in large print, I can easily read them. My main complaint is the lack of charts and maps. I would love to follow Paul's journeys as I read through the Book of Acts, but alas, there are no maps in this version of the Dake bible.

A great book, and a great version. Fake does a very good job explaining the verses, while he tends to talk alot about the pre- adamite world as much as he can, it's not exactly a con. Actually it's rather interesting.

The only thing Giant about this bible is GOD himself. If you're looking for an honestly Giant Print Bible go to a bookstore. Amazon is deceptive in many of the things that truly matter...they're in it for the money. Lesson learned.

Great study Bible. I bought the small print version years ago but after awhile it was difficult to read so I bought this large print version and still think it's one of the best study bible available.

If I was on a desert island and had one resource I would bring my Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible. This has been a tremendous blessing in my study of the Word. Like all study Bibles, there may be points that one disagrees with. And even if you are not of the Pentecostal/charismatic persuasion you will learn something as you study Dake’s notes.

I have had a Dake Bible for years. I love most of the content. I know enough about the word to know when to spit out the bones. However I do want to address one of the issues I have with the bible and with Dake. Basically, not sugar coating, he is a racist. From insinuating that Cain was black from a curse, to Moses' Ethiopian wife being tanned and not 'negro' as he stated at first, in later versions they changed it ' not black.' But what actually threw me for a loop and caused me to perhaps get a refund from the Company (not Amazon) is the fact that he stated the Anglo-Saxon Theory. In his bible he stated a theory that he did not refute, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that he thinks this is a "theory" and not bible as any bible student would know this theory is totally false. The theory states that whites are the new Israel and goes through 22 reasons why (one of which is because "Anglo-Saxons are go great and powerful" (seriously) As a black minister this doesn't surprise me as the most racial hatred I have witnessed in my life has come from white evangelicals. Its quite alarming actually. As I said I love most of the content and have had the bible over 15 years (until I bought the new one) and this was the first time I saw this particular comment. If you are OK with supporting this, the content is very good for the most part, but he is racist and there is no other way to put it.

Leather or simulated binding is best way to go. My own 20 + yr. is great, but really like this new one I got as a gift for my Son. Large print version is the only way to go: the regular is too small.

This is a wonderful Study Bible that is Beautifully done. One nice feature is that prophecy's are marked with a black star, promises with a black triangle, Commands with a black circle and message from God with a Black Box. The Bible uses the King James text witch is an excellent version, its two sided columned and has notes on the side columns and bottom. The notes are conservative Christian, evangelical, and Dispensational. The Notes help define and explain the text, key words are shown to us in the Original Hebrew and Greek and are defined. There are also Book outlines and information at the end of each book as well as notes which contain questions and where they are answered in the text, lists, Doctrines, Words study's, Character studies, and much more. In the Back of the Bible are Maps, Diagrams, Dispensational Charts, and a complete Concordance and Cyclopedia index. This Bible is a wonderful Study Tool.

I liked the information he had in this Bible but I was looking for a giant print as the print in the one I had for years I found it had to read anymore. As I said I would recommend this Bible to anyone that was alright with this size print.

Best study bible ever

This was the first Bible that I studied with for 25 and It not a good beginners Bible. I was reading a easier translation as a young Christian. This Bible is for serious students who want go beyond Sunday school and discover deeper truths and doctrines. I love the new print and format in the commentary notes. The large print is very easy on the eyes and I would recommend this Bible for teachers and preachers to study and use for the glory of God. This Bible takes the position as a dispensational and fundamental in it's makeup so one can rightly divide the word as we are exhorted to do.

This is my third Dake Bible purchase. I can't say enough about this bible. It's incredible, exhaustive beyond belief!! Dake leaves no stone unturned and backs everything up with scripture, reference, facts, figures, examples and commentaries that will make you look like a Bible Scholar if you really study it. I love this bible. Mine was given to me as a gift and I've been gifting them to people in return. If you purchase one, you'll be doing the same thing. It's worth the money. Don't try to save money by buying the cheaper one, make sure you get Large Print. I've read comments that the other print is too small. You cannot go wrong with this bible!!

Best choice I ever made. I suggest listening to Alexander Scourby and reading this Bible at the same time because it makes the KJV English much easier to understand.

This book is in my top 5!!! Awesome. The information, explanations. Go on and on and on. And they are all intertwined...is a 'must have' for superb reference and learning.

My main source of study

I like the Bible, a lot. I got the large print. The only problem is it is heavy and oversized, making it awkward for me (an older person) to carry. However, the Bible is great. I use it at home mostly anyway.

i am not,..per se,..any expert in books,...but when i have low vision due to diabetes and age,..i have to find stuff with large enough print for me. this bible has that. easy for me to read, and as to accessing information, i found many notes per page that make things easier to understand. it is taking me awhile to get used-to page notes but it's definitely different for me. i believe anyone buying this is going to be pleased.

Brilliant for study as all the notes are right next to the scripture so there is no need to juggle 2 books. It is not just a commentary, but contains loads of information about every bible subject, gathered during Dake's study of the Word of God. There is no man dead or alive who knew more about the Word of God, Finis Dake dedicated his whole life to understanding the Bible and was known as the 'walking bible'. He pastored several churches, started a bible school and hosted a radio broadcast twice daily for 13 years answering scriptural questions. This is a large and heavy book, I use it at the kitchen table and when reading on the lounge or in bed, I have Dakes Study Notes on my iPad. (You can get that from Olive Tree). I couldn't wait to get this in the mail and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm addicted to reading and studying the bible and all my questions are answered with this bible and I bother the pastor less. This bible has a lot of good information in it to help me understand the importance of God's word!!!!!

Excellent information for individual, Bible Study Classes and Seminary/College students a must have purchase. Having this resource in my classes and for my students/members have proven to increase their zeal for knowing God's Plan for Man. Several purchases have been made and I will continue to use this as one of my study source KJV Bibles and also as a recommendation for others to purchase and study.

I did'nt know that the book was going to be that BIG! And the font was too small.

I have always been a Bible reader but this Bible has totally changed my perspective on the Word of God. If you are looking to maximize your biblical insight, then this one is for you. Although the print says large print, it really is relatively normal print to me. Looked at the regular print but it was too tiny for consistent studying. Two years later and it is still a blessing to me. Always discovering something new.

It is just what I have been looking for, for months.

I've really enjoyed using this "large print" version of the Dake's study bible. As with the other versions, the Dake's are a wonderful resource for topic research as the references cited get you started quickly in the right direction. The physical pages are thicker than the other versions which I found to be helpful as you jump through the many citations. The layout in this version is definately roomier then the others as the columns of text are not as jammed together. How this author kept these references together in such a dynamic and organized method is truly a testimony to how comprehensive the text or "the word" is. Without the use of a computer I'd love to see his filing methods! I would recommend this publication to the study enthusiast and to those who desire to find more treasure by diving deeply within the text and it's many scriptural references..

This book is God's living Word and you can feel it. I read a couple of reviews that cautioned this authors views in a couple of areas.I considered them only briefly due to the fact you should be studying out ANY study bible you read. It is laid out really well and has a wonderful feel to it. Whether you are a babe in Christ or a Bishop, this is a valuable, blessed tool. It actually has a draw that can be felt when you walk in a room where it's laying. I'm not kidding btw

I am a retired baptist pastor with a Ph.D. (cum laude) in hermeneutics (Bible interpretation). I am on my 3rd Dake Bible having worn out the previous two. I use it daily and by following the comments, references, etc. developed such a strong Bible ministry while pastoring in Hawaii our church became known as the Bible church on the big island. There are criticisms of Dake on the internet. Some are valid, others are picky. I find I can agree with 90% or more of his theology and use discernment, Any serious Bible student will benefit immensely from using it. NOTE: Large print is still small. It just means the references have been printed larger to the same 10 point size as the scripture.

Make no mistake, this book is huge and you cannot take to church or Bible study unless you are at the pulpit itself. However as a home study Bible, it doesn't get any better than this. The references, footnotes, comparative texts etc make this a great tool to really delve in the Word. My husband likes the KJV which is what Dake does, I am now into either NKJ or NIV but can still appreciate this text fully. Good book, priceless find.

This is a very good tool to understand better God's word, albeit from a Trinitarian point of view. Being a oneness Pentecostal some points in the commentary would be far from the Oneness of God doctrine. However it has very good commentaries and treats the dispensations from what appears to be a learned point of view. I highly recommend to all who can afford it's hefty price.

Given to my mom for her birthday. She has always had this Bible in normal print, but at 83 years old she needed the large print.

I've always heard in the 35 years I have been a Christian that this was a "Pastor's Bible." I have known many Pastor's who quote from this Bible. When I saw it in large print, I knew I had to get it. I have not been disappointed. It is so instrumental in my studies. Highly recommend to those in study of Hebrew Greek as well. Enjoy!

I'v been sitting here trying to find the word's to say about this Bible Finis Dake has written. It is truely a God given, Jesus teaching, holy spirit insight. I believe God has used him to such a degree that generations could be saved with this Annotated Reference Bible. One of the things i love the most about it is the plan of the ages picture in the back of the book "AWSOME". I'v always wanted to get closer to God, and one day i was visiting my brother and he pulled this book out i read just a few passages in it and looked through it. The next day i ordered it, i must say it was the best investment i could ever have done and now i am closer to God and i will not have it any other way. AWSOME,AWSOME,AWSOME.

Just what I was looking for.. very happy with my purchase and the price.

I love this Bible, especially for all the work put into it. The commentaries are very informative, and I find myself picking this Bible up more than my other versions, because of the additional helps. Having said that, I do take issue with the commentator's personal views (Acts Notes page 275)on separation of the races. There are no scriptures to support his views. Other than that, this is a great work and I have personally purchased 3 for my friends.

One of the best study bibles there is, and I love it.

Because I do a lot of teaching in my church, I use a lot of different souces and reference material. This is by far my favorite. I have owned a Dake now for 30+ years, and because my eyesight is not what it was when I was 20, I bought this one because of the large print.

My husband is a pastor and loves the Dakes. This is the second one he's owned in over 30 years in the ministry. His first one just fell apart. It's one of his main references.

I bought this Bible for my husband's Christmas present. He could not have been more pleased. He had the Dake Bible in smaller print and is finding the large print is a help in his studies. Every Christian should consider this Bible for reference, both my husband and I have one and we find ourselves referring to the Dake Bible footnotes quite often.

Book ordered from Amazon I ordered this for someone else and they are very satisfied with the the book and will be using it for study references. It was delivered right on time. the only thing she would have done differently,she would have ordered the leather bound volume.

For anyone who does not understand the Bible or has difficulty in reading the bible. It reveals why science says the earth is more than 6,000 and proves that it is so. Also..... The earth was destroyed by a flood by God TWO TIMES. This Bible has very detailed commentaries on each line of scripture. You will love it and treasure it.
