This is a nail-biter through and through. I finally got my copy of this sequel, and I have been unable to put it down. I don’t know what to say without spoiling anything for other readers, but I have to say that this is a MUST READ for anyone who enjoys homoerotic fiction that explores the lives of people other than just in their bedroom. However, it must be noted that this story is not just about its gay characters. Several other characters have a place in this story and you get to read about how their lives are involved or cross paths with the main characters, and it really gives you a great cross-section of the lives of people as whole, gay or straight. This series is an excellently crafted piece of literature that gives you just enough to make you happy but keep coming back for more. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. I know it’s going to be good, and I commend the author on doing such a great job of showing the lives of his characters so vividly on the page. I want so much more from this author…ASAP!!!

I loved that there was a second part that didn't keep the reader in limbo. I'm glad the loose ends were tied up. A couple of things that I thought was a bit much, but I understand was that everyone is gay or bisexual and I kinda thought that was a bit too much, but not in a bad way. The reading definitely flows well and keeps your attention. Interesting plot, there are too many scenes that were hard to read because of the graphic nature, but that's life. I really hate Phillip with a passion. I don't care for how the whole Christian storyline was played out, but I'm glad it continues. Overall I really like the first and second part and am about to start the third. I highly recommend the trilogy. My review is sketchy, because I don't want to give the reader too much of the story. I want then to be as shocked as me. But again get the trilogy great read and you'd want to finish it quickly because it's a page turner or do what I do and savor it.

I have been following him and his work for a while now and he never ceases to amaze and shock me. Trust me if you want a thrill ride then you have found the right place. If you have not read the first book then get it before moving on so that your not lost in this book. This book really builds the story up for the grand finale which is covered in book 3. Another WOW!! The first few chapters were very emotional. The author did an excellent job of describing everyone’s emotions over the premature death announcement of Christian. Everybody has a personal issues and everybody doing everybody. -- Didn’t like the hypocritical Phillip/Seth and that hold storyline with him and his baby daughter was sickening. UGG

It is amazing how many non-Christlike things human beings do to portray themselves as a child of God. Crimes of the Heart 2: The Aftermath demonstrates that fact is indeed stranger than fiction for both the victim and the villain; while revealing secrets, lies, and alibis which guide questionable thoughts and actions. It left me wanting to know more!

All I can say that book 3 is going to be hot. I feel that this story is so full of drama, and I love it. People if hounding read this great work of art you are missing out. I have to stop here because I can't Wait to see how the story ends.

Lost for words this book gives you twist after twist after twist. I am really happy I stumbled upon this author because he have you wanting more every time. This book was well written it keeps your attention from the first page to the last. You really connect with the characters of the story you feel their pain and everything the go through in this book.

I hate Jaxon so much. Reading the original series before this became a printed novel doesn't mean anything. I stayed up way past my bedtime, read at work, and found myself blowing off a lot of things that would cut my ability to really become immersed in this book. The way that it is written is unmistakably inviting. There are thousands of riddles and opportunities for you to create your own outcome and arrive at what you believe is the ending. Crazy part is, you could be so off base. Vivian is something else.

OMG is all I can say this book was OFF the chain, the characters are so REAL there are so many twists and turns my mouth kept flying open. I mean this book literaly flowed from Part 1, oooh I can't wait until Part 3 drops! Mr. Grant keep up the GOOD work definetly a NEW fan!

I really liked book 2 of this series and will be definitely getting the 3rd book. A natural extension of book 1, enjoying the interactions between the characters very intriguing and dramatic. Liked the surprise at end.

After reading both of these books (Yes I read both in just over one week), I was blown away.. I must say the writing was excellent. Great story line, structure, and body. Reminds me of my high school tryst. Continue to write Mr. Grant with hopes and aspirations that this series will be made into a movie. Crimes of the Heart is a great read that has kept me on my toes. I'm about to buy and start reading part 3 as soon as I'm done with this review. I can't wait until I see what's going to happen next!

I am so in love with this writer, he has the midas touch. Volume 2 did not disappoint, I never wanted to put it down. He pulls you into to his stories, it's like your are right there. My emotions were like a Roller Coaster, there isn't a dull moment. If you are looking for books to read that gives you everything then go no further. Jaxon Grant is now on the seen and he's looking to take over. I can't wait for volume 3, I can promise you that you will not be disappointed with your purchase.

Just finished book 2 and the plot thickens as they say. The author is tying up lots of loose ends from book 1. Would give it a five the language is extremely vulgar.

I loved that there was a second part that didn't keep the reader in limbo. I'm glad the loose ends were tied up. A couple of things that I thought was a bit much, but I understand was that everyone is gay or bisexual and I kinda thought that was a bit too much, but not in a bad way. The reading definitely flows well and keeps your attention. Interesting plot, there are too many scenes that were hard to read because of the graphic nature, but that's life. I really hate Phillip with a passion. I don't care for how the whole Christian storyline was played out, but I'm glad it continues. Overall I really like the first and second part and am about to start the third. I highly recommend the trilogy. My review is sketchy, because I don't want to give the reader too much of the story. I want then to be as shocked as me. But again get the trilogy great read and you'd want to finish it quickly because it's a page turner or do what I do and savor it.

I think the first book was better. This one had too much going in and the characters are too interrwined to not to have known each other. Lastly, it was very predictable.

part two wasn't nearly as interesting as part 1, but I did enjoy reading it, and look forward to part 3.

I completely love this trilogy so far . The first half of this book, I was in tears. And now getting to the end not only do I have chills but I'm so confused. Is it really Christian? Is Damien seeing things? Or Raphael just crazy? I'm obsessed. But I kinda hope that it's really Christian tho.

First, these books are fun to read. Jaxon Grant knows how to dream up a story filled with interesting characters. Sure, just about everyone is gay in this story, but that's what makes it fun. Still a lot of editing missed in this book as in the first, but the story makes me forgive it. However, I think this book is better written than the first, which may support the belief that practice can bring improvement. Of course, I want to read the final book in the trilogy to find out what happens and see whether I am on the right track about the mystery and intrigue, or will Jaxon throw a curve and turn all our theories into smoke. Sometimes the author is a little preachy, but all in all it is just fun.

Never a dull moment in these stories - I love It - I’ve read these books out of order ie bandsman, incidental, and now reading crime it has been fun connecting the characters- so looking forward to reading more

In my opinion Jaxon has done it again with Crimes of the Heart 2. Cordell has grown to be quite the man, and the newest character Raphael, is someone you think you should know, but he has a secret that even he has no clue about. There are a few mistakes during this story, but I believe the story is very good, a person can over look any mistake. I think this story should be classified as a mystery/thriller, very exciting.

Wow!!! I was so hurt believing that Christian was dead. I truly felt my heart hurt. Though, I knew something was up. His mom's choice of words always gave me hope that she sent him away to be safe. I read this book in 2 days. I really laughed out loud as the end was in my favor!! Love it.

This is a great book. Once I started reading part 1 I could not put it down. The same with part 2. I can not wait until part 3 comes out. The way the 2nd book ended is driving me crazy. I can't wait to read what happens to Christen and Damon. And I hope that bad and nasty man Phillip get what is coming to him for being such a bad person. And I have to say again. Great book!

Another WOW!! The first few chapters were very emotional. The author did an excellent job of describing everyone’s emotions over the premature death announcement of Christian. Everybody has a personal issues and everybody doing everybody. -- Didn’t like the hypocritical Phillip/Seth and that hold storyline with him and his baby daughter was sickening. UGG

It is amazing how many non-Christlike things human beings do to portray themselves as a child of God. Crimes of the Heart 2: The Aftermath demonstrates that fact is indeed stranger than fiction for both the victim and the villain; while revealing secrets, lies, and alibis which guide questionable thoughts and actions. It left me wanting to know more!

All I can say that book 3 is going to be hot. I feel that this story is so full of drama, and I love it. People if hounding read this great work of art you are missing out. I have to stop here because I can't Wait to see how the story ends.

This is a nail-biter through and through. I finally got my copy of this sequel, and I have been unable to put it down. I don’t know what to say without spoiling anything for other readers, but I have to say that this is a MUST READ for anyone who enjoys homoerotic fiction that explores the lives of people other than just in their bedroom. However, it must be noted that this story is not just about its gay characters. Several other characters have a place in this story and you get to read about how their lives are involved or cross paths with the main characters, and it really gives you a great cross-section of the lives of people as whole, gay or straight. This series is an excellently crafted piece of literature that gives you just enough to make you happy but keep coming back for more. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. I know it’s going to be good, and I commend the author on doing such a great job of showing the lives of his characters so vividly on the page. I want so much more from this author…ASAP!!!

I loved that there was a second part that didn't keep the reader in limbo. I'm glad the loose ends were tied up. A couple of things that I thought was a bit much, but I understand was that everyone is gay or bisexual and I kinda thought that was a bit too much, but not in a bad way. The reading definitely flows well and keeps your attention. Interesting plot, there are too many scenes that were hard to read because of the graphic nature, but that's life. I really hate Phillip with a passion. I don't care for how the whole Christian storyline was played out, but I'm glad it continues. Overall I really like the first and second part and am about to start the third. I highly recommend the trilogy. My review is sketchy, because I don't want to give the reader too much of the story. I want then to be as shocked as me. But again get the trilogy great read and you'd want to finish it quickly because it's a page turner or do what I do and savor it.

Just like the his old nickname which is on of my favorite sandwiches that McDonald's used to serve, he is also one of my new favorite writers out today. I have been following him and his work for a while now and he never ceases to amaze and shock me. Trust me if you want a thrill ride then you have found the right place. I guarantee you won't leave unsatisfied. This second book follows the path of Christian and boy with a terrible story of struggles and family issues. If you have not read the first book then get it before moving on so that your not lost in this book. This book really builds the story up for the grand finale which is covered in book 3. Go ahead check it out and follow my boy Jaxon as he continues to bring you his best!!!

I got so hooked with the first story I was patiently waiting for the sequel. I have to say this book had me really thinking with all the twists and turns it had. Loved every minute of it and cant wait for the next installment. I must say I did feel bad for Cord because he took it hard not having his brother with him. The ending was the big shocker though I must say. I had to read this book a few more times to make sure I got all the details. Two thumbs up on this one.
