Great book for my son but the edges of the hardback cover are damaged - too much hassle to send back to be honest

I love the history of sneakers. I like that it showed the sneakers that are popular by each year. Jordans are still shoe that is so popular back then and now.

Great collection of sneakers in this piece with some interesting choices and valid justifications behind them written by true sneaker peeps. Love that the Air Force Max got love in this as well as the Instapump Fury - both were the envy of my formative years.

Honestly, this book does really good in highlighting the most pivotal sneakers in each decade starting from the mid 80s. I love the pictures that they used for each sneaker as well. The font size is actually not bad considering some people might not have great eyesight and this gives them a break from having trouble reading. Overall I recommend this book for anyone looking to get a good read about sneakers. #FSRMY !!!

This is a modern coffee table gem! The content is great and definitely recommend for anyone (not just sneaker heads)

A future discount bin book, this adds very little new to the realm of ( sneaker, trainer, runner, shoe) culture. It's poorly, if not lazily designed, with huge edge to edge font. A single sitting read, it's hard to see why it would be taken off the shelf more than once. The pictures are as uninspiring as the bland, poorly written text (unless you speak like a teenager, although you are an adult) . There are far better books out there, for better value than this one. The Air Max 95 gets a brief mention, which shows how much Americans really don't understand the European or Japanese interest in the culture. It's a little too American centric. EDIT: ditto what C. L. Miks has posted after me. Please guys, have a browse through some Rizzoli books, especially if you want to make that New York Times best seller list Brendan..

Incredible book!

Disclaimer: I haven't read the book yet, but flipped through all the pages.... ... and I was frankly extremely disappointed. I really like the guys from FSR, but this book just looks like a sloppy money grab. As HAL already posted, the design is completely unspiring, from the photos to the page layout, the color blocking to the horrible font, that seems to bleed over the top of each page. Furthermore, this seems to be NIKE sponsored, since there is barely any other shoe brand. Brendan, Welty and Joe, I really like your shows a lot and they brought me back to sneakers, but you should't put your name on this.

This book has a short story for the best sneakers, and runner ups of each year. Although they're short they are really complete and fill you with all the information regarding each sneaker while giving you a vibe of each year. Also the packaging and delivery were on point. Arrived fast and in an impeccable state.
