Colorful Blessings: A Coloring Book for Grown-Up Girls from The Coloring Cafe

I own a number of The Coloring Cafe coloring books and I love to color in them. They are cute and easy to color. I can usually finish one easily in an afternoon. “Colorful Blessings” is a newer coloring book in the series. What I absolutely love about this coloring book is that it is spiral bound. I can flip the pages around and get the page I am working on to lie perfectly flat. The designs feature a Bible verse as well as the cite so you can look it up for yourself. I don't see a translation mentioned in the book so I can't say for sure which it is. The designs are open and easy to color. I don't have to finagle small points into even smaller spaces with this book. I can have fun with whatever medium suits my temperament on a given day. For my first project, I choose to use a mixture of Sharpie and Bic Mark-it alcohol-based markers. I was happy that the paper didn't feather the ink outside of the lines and will certainly use my markers with this book again (see medium discussion below.) I will provide details about the book below for those interested, but here is an overview of what I found: 45 Bible inspired cute designs Designs are printed on one side of non-perforated white page Spiral bound Alcohol-based markers bleed through page Water-based markers and India ink pens leave shadows of color on back of page Gel pens work well but need a little extra drying time Coloring pencils work well with this paper The designs in this book are printed on one side of the white non-perforated page. The paper is a medium weight and a nice texture to color on. Each picture has a tiny design on the back of it that coincides with the picture on the following page. If you choose not to color it, it won't show through to the side you do color if you want to frame it. I'm pleased with this book and would give it as a gift and buy it again!

Although they are beautiful and artistic, it takes me several days to do one picture. I am not an artist, so by that time, I have probably ruined my picture or become tired of looking at the same page for so long. I have done several of the pages in this book, and each one can be done at night while talking with my husband or watching TV. I also like the Bible verses on each one. The author's choice of which passages to use was excellent. I will buy more.

I LOVE this coloring book! It has a little bit of everything. Some pages are simple with not a lot on them, others are the more intricate patterns or as I like to call them "busy" pages. I absolutely love that I can meditate on the scripture as I am coloring. And the spiral binding helps it to lay flat while coloring. The pages are a good thickness for colored pencils, if you want to do water colors or markers, they suggest putting a piece of scrap paper in between pages to prevent bleed through. I APPRECIATE that the author gave this suggestion. Wonderful product. I will absolutely look for more like this.

Well, it's 2020... and with much time (too much?) stuck at home, I'm on my 4th coloring book this year. This one, however, is my FAVORITE! Several features make it so: 1) the designs are cute! 2) the paper is heavy weight, and 3) it's spiral bound, so you can fold back the pages you're not using. This is definitely one I'd reorder or give as a gift!

I have several adult coloring books and this is my favorite...every picture in it is doable....I have some books that are too detailed...this one is just right! There is a line to cut along and I think they are wonderful puctures and messages...I will look for more from Ronnie Walker!

Very nice coloring book, many pages with less detail than most books. The ring binder makes it easier to go from page to page. I like the smaller page size for a change, and the paper is sturdy and has a velvet feel when using gel pens. This would be one to take along on a road trip with just a few pens when a long wait is anticipated. Very nice blessings to think about while coloring!

I received this today,and it was delivered on time.It has a nicely drawn pages,I have not worked in it yet.The size of the book is good and would work well to take along in purse or bag.There are 2 issues though.The package it was delivered in was just a simple envelope padded mailer.The covers on this book were bent in the center,as they are not a stiff cardboard.Really flimsy covers on this item.

This is a beautiful book with scriptures, lined spaces for writing and happy, quality images to color. I bought this as a gift and will buy more for gifts and for myself!!

Got this for my mother who's in a nursing home. They suggest coloring as therapy. She's loves the variety of images and the blessings.

I am very pleased with this book..the paper is high quality and I love the pictures..the only thing I would change is that the pictures be just one side.

I really liked the idea of the spiral binding, but unfortunately the paper was thin like cheap printer paper. The pictures were fine, but I really don't want to waste my time and ink on this inferior quality book. Sorry I bought it.

I'm soo happy I chose this one... It is a perfect size. The art work is done well.. I would of liked the perforated pages but maybe it's not because it's a spiral binding.. There is enough room to follow the "cut here" mark and have a nice size page.. I'm looking forward to the other books in this collection..

This is one of my favorite coloring books. I love that it is spiral bound. I also really enjoy that it's a slightly smaller size and doesn't take as long to color. Some of the pictures are simpler and others are more complex, so anyone should be able to enjoy it. The messages are inspiring and the designs are pretty. I'm definitely going to buy more books by Ronnie Walter.

Could not be more pleased with this book! Strong sturdy and perforated pages with gorgeous designs. The only problem I can find with this book is the size of the pictures if you're going to try to find a frame to give as a gift or keep for yourself. Other than that I'm very satisfied and happy with this book!!

My daughter loves this book! I color daily in my journal and she sits along beside me coloring in this. The pages aren't too thin so watercolor markers, crayons, and colored pencils work great...however they aren't quite thick enough for sharpies. It works great for us though, I don't want my 7 year old using sharpies quite yet anyway!

She was the inspiration to get me up and creating my own series of coloring books. I love that I have one of her and I bought her book on art licensing too.

This is a great book. Just about half the size of a normal coloring book. While at first I thought that was a draw back, I realized it fits perfect into my big purse and I can take it with me. Its spiral so thats a plus for us lefty's.

I love that this book is smaller, takes less time to complete the designs. Fun to color with markers, gel pens or pencils.

The pictures in this book are fun and full of not only Scripture but positivity. The pictures are perforated which makes removing them a piece a cake! I'm happy with my purchase and say it is a recommendable book.

I love the Coloring Cafe` coloring books! The ring binders and removable pages are perfect for me. The art is fun with nice "blessing" quotes, but not horribly intricate for the days that I just want to have fun with them.

I have another one of her coloring books and I just love that the pictures are so clear and not crowded with a bunch of tiny detail that you have to strain your eyes to see. I plan on buying all of her books when I get the money.

Just received this book and started one page but I like it already. Paper is nice, which makes a big difference to me, and pictures are simple with some intricacy.

I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter. She loves the sayings on each page and the pictures are ones that a child or adult would enjoy coloring. I looked through the book with her and was thinking about different color schemes I would use. I guess I should get one for myself.

My elderly Mom just loves coloring in these books, especially with the spiral side. After coloring photos with the coloring pencils, she can tear out a page and give it as a gift. She is getting to use her creativity by picking what colors to use and then sharing the pages. We especially like the one that has the encouraging words and scriptures on them. She is now 88 years old and living at a retirement center. Many of the people there think this is great!

Very nice coloring book with great sized pictures and sentiments.

This coloring book focuses on Biblical inspiration. Each page, on the right, features a full page design, with a Bible quote included in a hand-drawn font. The opposite page includes a small token design taken from the page. So, for example, a page which reads “My God will supply every need,” includes a teapot and cups in a curving frame, with the opposite page having the teapot’s floral design in the center of the page. Another favorite page of mine is a page which reads, “The sweetness of friendship is good for the soul,” and one of the two girls’ treats is on the opposite page. The designs are cute, like an angel with quilted wings, or a row of cottages with little birds living and shopping and dining within. Coloring the designs helps me to relax and think about the scripture at the same time.

I love this book. Very inspiring in every way. Images just perfect to relax and enjoy, not too complicated and not too simple, just perfect!

I got this coloring book for my mom, who has breast cancer and is going through chemotherapy. She colors while she is at her treatments and the positive messages help her keep up her spirits. It is always good to keep scripture at heart during challenging times and this coloring book adds to her peace and strength.

I could not see inside much of this book but took a chance. Would not order again. While the words and slogans are great the art leaves a lot to be desired. Really not happty with it.

Love to color and take my mind off of a stressful day. This book is really positive and works well with brush pens or any other type of color pens or pencils that you like. Easy to remove pages if you like to lie the pages flatter when coloring. I use the TomBow Dual Brush Pens and it is perfect for those or any other brush pens that you may be using. Colored pencils make it easy for shading if you are wanting to add more depth to the beautiful drawings.

Love this coloring book! Got in time for a summer road trip. The pictures are inspirational and large enough to be able to complete even while riding in the car. Love it will purchase more as gifts later.
