Holy, feather! What a heavenly read.

Last year, one of my favorite authors tore my heart out. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much from a book. Feather by Olivia was such a well written story about love and redemption. But the ending killed me. I felt a physical ache in my heart. Luckily, the author just released book 2. And it has been a healing balm to my soul. The only tears I cried this time, were happy ones. Celestial is the book that fixed my broken heart. It was another beautiful written love story that showed you that sometimes you just need to take a chance. . I loved Celeste. Because she was rough on the edges but had a heart of gold. I love her sassy attitude. And you can relate to her struggles. Now, I was so surprised this time around I fell in love with Asher. I was rooting for him. Why is that significant? Because I hated him in the 1st book. And that’s what makes this author so amazing. Her words can change your opinion on a character, in the blink of an eye. If you are looking for your next book fix. Look no further. I promise you won’t regret it. Make sure to start with Feather first.

💜 Mind-blowing Perfection 💜

5 stars is not enough to rate the awesomeness of this book and all the roller coaster of emotions it put me through over and over!!! 😳🤯😭🤗🥰😍 I thought no book will be better than Feather and Olivia surprised us by outdoing herself, BRAVO!!! 🙌🥇🏆 Celeste and Asher love story is out of this world, they started with the left foot, went through a lot of sh**, faced opposition and criticism, but nothing stopped them... And this is just the beginning!!! 💪👊 From shattered heart to extreme happiness, from hating to loving, from crying to laughing... This brilliant installment will rock your world from start to end and will leave you so happy and satisfied, but eager for more at the same time... And boy we will get more... Yes!!! 😍❤️ ** A MUST READ series!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An okay band aid

This book wasn’t the best band aid for my broken heart Feather gave me, but it did the job. More importantly though, I liked this book better than the first one. This was mainly due to the characters since I felt that Celeste had more personality than Leigh and while I loved the whole innocent vs mobster in Feather, this book gave a bit more to the relationship development-wise. Celeste had spunk and I loved how well that played off when she interacted with Asher. Especially with the hate and disobedience it gave that drama I always crave in a good story. I also really liked the relationship with Naya. I don’t know if I’m just unlucky with books but I often find that fictional book children act so stereotypical kid-like that they come off as way too loud and happy that they just become unnatural. This story handled the kids perfectly though which, if my past experience is correct, is a feat. The kids also gave that above mentioned band aid that helped with the past tragedy (not as well as if the tragedy had never happened to begin with, but you can’t have it all) and makes me excited for the final book. If there is one thing I can fault the story for then it is the matter of realism. Angels aside some dialogs and matter just came off as ridiculous and weird to me. Not so far as to being cringe but certainly close in that direction. I won’t go into details, but just the mental image of them “doing it” on the ceiling is just [insert grimace emoji here]. I had also kind of wished that some subject matters had led somewhere more than they did, Jase drama being one as well as something more with Eliza in the end. Mostly though I am just relieved that the story ended completely opposite from the first book. My heart can now relax and hopefully soar when I have read book number three. Fingers crossed.

Snarky, sexy, semi enemies-to-lovers

Celestial is a tennis match of snark, sass, danger, and a fun tit-for-tat, toe-to-toe, semi-enemies-to lovers spicy match-up. Celeste, the street-wise angel not interested in entering Elysium, is content to stay on Earth, until the mountain of sexy Archangel Asher, who helped her sister burn her wings, shows up to get her back on the straight and narrow. Celeste has every right to feel like she does, and wanting things to change in Elysium with their archaic rules, makes her doubt Asher's intentions, for he's in the council and hasn't changed anything. I love Celeste's attitude, and the slow-burn-turn-bonfire between her and Asher was *chef's kiss* spicy. I love Asher's backstory because originally, I felt he was a bit of a pompous jerk in Feather. There's so much more to him, from his guilt over a decades-old incident, to his reluctant attraction to the fiesty, stubborn Celeste is delicious to watch unfold. But Asher's hiding a massive, secret, and it could cost him everything he's ever worked for. When Celeste decides to get her act together, she ends up in more danger than she could have ever imagined. Her unfailing bravery and faith in others nearly becomes her downfall. The whole thing was a blast to listen to, from the twists and turns, to the sizzle of Celeste and Asher's attraction, and the heartfelt moments that tugged my heart, to me, made it even better than Feather! With all that is revealed, I cannot wait to read to Starlight next!

Another beautifully written read!!!

Olivia Wildenstein is a force to be reckoned with. After reading Feather, I had no clue how it could be matched in it's amazing. I was so wrong!!!! Celest is my hero. She is stubborn and fierce. She is who she is and dares anyone try to change her. She is sassy and brave. I love this about her. She made a decision to give up on the world she was born in. Pain and loss making her choose such a life. Asher is determined to change her mind. He will do whatever it takes to help her succeed. He won me over and redeemed himself with his dedication and his motives Celest is in the dark about. His, Oh so swoon, moments were enough to set my soul on fire 🔥. This book was all the things awesome. I love how you feel all the emotions in these characters. You do not just read them. You live them. Another amazing read by Olivia Wildenstein! I am so excited to see what comes next in this series.

Beautiful

Celeste was my favorite character in Feather so I was so excited to see her get her own story. And Asher was so dreamy I just knew he would be someone's perfect fit. I love that Celeste - the girl who constantly lost feathers because of her snarky wit and no bullsh** attitude - would be the one to capture Elysium's golden boy, the perfect Seraph who could do no wrong. They seem like such opposites but that's probably why they are so perfect together. Celeste livens up Asher's world, shaking him out of his propriety, and Asher helps Celeste regain her path towards earning her wings and embracing her angelic heritage. I loved getting to know about Naya and Adam too and can't wait to read their story ❤️ This world of "guardian angels" that fight to help us be better humans to purify our souls is such an amazing creation. Every detail is thought out and perfected and I love the narrators of both books so far.

The Best...Would Rate More Than 5 If Possible

I've had my Kindle Unlimited membership for a little over two years now, and in 2020 I read around 310 books thanks to that subscription. When I tell you that a lot of those books blended together, you can probably understand why. However! Feather was 100% a standout and a book that stayed on my mind ALL year. When I saw the sequel was coming out my excitement was a bit ridiculous and I worried I was going to be setting myself up for minor disappointment, I mean, I had to be building this up in my head too much right? I was not. In fact, I didn't build it high enough. This is a perfect sequel. The characters are well developed, the plot is not in any way formulaic or redundant (as some romance books can sometimes be), and while it leaves you excited and looking forward to the final book in the trilogy, many questions left over from book 1 are answered. I cannot recommend this enough and I feel like I haven't, even though I've told all of my fellow bookworms they need to get this on their TBR list immediately. Do not pass over this.

Heavenly Justice and Heart

Celestial is book 2 out of the AoE trilogy and picks up right where the first one dropped off however it’s got a slight spin adding to the story to help develop Asher and Celeste. Another stunning beautifully written story full of love and divine justice. I only wish I could give this more than 5 stars. Can’t wait to begin reading the final book of this series.

Such a Sweet Ending

This was perhaps one of the few book series where each book is a different set of characters but the story is all intertwined that I felt truly did the storyline justice. I am still not over the devastating ending from Feather, but I am very content with how everything tied together at the end of this book. I will say, this one is arguably not as steamy as the others, and there's a TON of buildup that came before any intimate scenes which I'm a little torn by. I like how Naya and Adam were both remnants of the originals as well as their own separate beings. Overall, it was a beautiful ending to a beautiful series.

Bittersweet with a touch of cream, like my coffee...

Reading Wildenstein’s books always leave me surprised, almost shocked at times. I was so upset at the ending of the first book in this series, I almost railed on her in my review. However, her over arching long term view of each story is brilliantly done. So beautifully written I felt compelled to highlight...I will be reading this series more than once. I only hope my heart will stay in tact in the process... <<<3

Masterpiece!

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. This book was captivating and it tied the previous story with the future book. Im beyond words to describe how my views changed on the angels, Asher and Celeste. I couldn't put it down and now that its to the end I'm saddened but filled with joy of new beginnings. A definite must read if you have read the first book already.

10/10

I really enjoyed the first book and was skeptical to pick this one up because I was still recovering from the plot twist of the first book. I’m glad I did because I think it may have the first one beat. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Many tears were shed and much sleep was lost so I could finish it. I can’t wait to get my hands on Starlight, and I’m exited to get into more of Olivia’s books.

Even better than the first book in the series

Is it wrong to say I love Celeste and Asher even more than Jarod and Leigh? Well, I do. And that's saying a lot as I really love Jarod and Leigh. This continuation of the Angels' series was everything I wanted and more

Lovely

Celestial is a storytelling triumph. The world-building, the characters, the plot and the writing all wrap you up into its spell and you'll quite frankly never want to be let go.

Adore this series!!!

I devoured this book as fast as I did the first one. I absolutely love this series! So many emotions provoked, it was definitely a Rollercoaster.

Definitely cried again

Amazing like the first book. The amount of tears I shed between this book and the first one are infinite. BUT THE ENDING OF THIS BOOK???? IN LOVE WITH IT😍

"the best way to save humanity is by teaching humans to save themselves.”

Celeste and Asher are soulhalves made for each other. This fantasy world is unlike any other and the quote above describes it best when it comes to describing the characters of this series. "The Angels of Elysium" are meant to reform sinners by getting them to have genuine changes of heart in whatever ways, large or small, they may be sinning in. Celeste was first introduced in Feather during Leigh & Jarod's story, along with Seraph Asher. Their romance starts off as more of an enemies to lovers with some friends to lovers vibes as well. Asher gave up his opportunity to marry and gain a consort during this time and has a huge secret that could potentially lose him his wings and change Celeste's life. Meanwhile Celeste has all but given up on her missions of reforming sinners and gaining her wings/entry to Elysium when Asher shows up 4 years later. After losing Leigh four years ago, it's been radio silence between these two but with him determined to stick around and help her complete her wings before she becomes nephilim - their personalities are bound to clash. Celeste takes no prisoners and the same is said for how her love story with Asher takes place. Wanting to stand for what's just can sometimes mean going against the grain and those with more power but with even one person on your side a lot can be accomplished. Celeste and Asher form bonds with Naya & Adam (children where Leigh & Jarod's souls now reside), as well as each other, while fighting for Leigh & Jarod's new angelic forms to be allowed to stay within the guild. Their chemistry is amazing and Asher turned it around for me in this one - oh the way he adores Celeste.

A fascinating celestial romance

The ending to Feather, book 1 of the Angels of Elysium series was heartbreaking and I couldn’t wait to see how Ms. Wildenstein played it out. Let me say she blew my mind again with grace and finesse while she continues the series with Celeste and Asher’s magnificent celestial romance story while they battle an angelic hierarchy determined to destroy their lives. Celeste is a bada$$ hybrid Fletching, an angel who hasn’t completed her wings and she plans to keep it that way. She’s lost everyone she loves and is happy on Earth going to school and hanging with her dicey friends. Then Asher, a seraphim, a archangel, the highest ranking celestial being, and the man who burned her best friend’s wings and tossed her back to Earth, decides to make Celeste his pet project to complete her wings. Not if she can help it! Asher is extraordinarily generous and what he sacrifices for Leigh and Jarod is amazing and selfless. His determination to help Celeste get her wings so she can ascend to Elysium is to be commended due to her stubborn nature and ability to lose feathers as fast as she gains them. I love this author’s prose. It flows beautifully while she educates the reader about immortal beings and saving souls. Her characters are strong and complex with very raw and painful moments that caused this reader to shed a tear or two. In addition, there are plenty LOL occasions, not to mention, Celeste’s hilarious t-shirt collection. As Celeste and Asher fight for their own souls and others, the supporting characters are essential to how this story plays out. Kudos to Ms. Wildenstein for persevering with this series. She has definitely met her goal of delivering a love story “worthy of her first couple”. It’s a fascinating tale that immerses you into the immortal realm of Elysium where angels are fallible, humans are vulnerable, and love is eternal. By the way, there is a HEA in this one. I can’t wait for book 3.

⭐️4/5⭐️

Spoilers & Thoughts Below!! •Second book in the Angels of Elysium series, following Celeste four years later after the events of Feather. •I actually really enjoyed this book more than the first. Just thought the characters and storyline were more detailed and expanded. •Celeste was such an amazing character, she’s outspoken, sarcastic, badass, and her journey to earn her feathers was incredible. •Muriel! So happy that she’s still around, I was worried in the beginning not going to lie. •Asher was such a softie for his daughter, which I loved and he definitely had the whole tough exterior but only soft for his girls thing going on. •Celeste and Asher’s relationship was so well written, their development from hate to love was incredible and their tension was superb. •Spice level is good. •Loved the distinction between soulmates and soulhalf, thought that was so beautiful. •Adam and Naya!!! Such a really good twist. •Favorite quote: “Because we aren’t the sum of our mistakes but the sum of how we deal with them.” •Celeste’s growth and journey to accepting her wings and wanting to fight alongside Asher to change the rules was fantastic. •Absolutely hate Claire and Asher’s trial had me sweating. I just cannot wait for more confrontation between them all. •That ending with their little family was so adorable. •The epilogue! I cannot wait for Adam and Naya’s story. •One thing I would have liked was if there had been more world building. A lot of places were mentioned but not really explored, like Abaddon. •Another thing I wished we would have gotten was more of the development or plan on how these characters will go about on changing the rules and bringing the truth to light. •But overall, a really entertaining read with such amazing characters. I cannot wait to continue with the series.

Second chances

I wondered where book 2 would start with the way that book 1 ended. It was a rough one but it totally makes sense now! It set it up for the much bigger picture and they way the story is flowing has me excited to get to book 3. Celeste, Leigh’s friend, is still having a hard time with her death. She hates her people and what they stand for but when Asher gives her hope, she decides to change her ways. Not entirely though. She is still a spitfire and the perfect rebel! While she may seen like a lost cause or that she doesn’t care, it’s the very opposite. You can’t help but root her on and love watching her grow into the woman she is meant to be. Asher is very much a book boyfriend anyone would want! He is fierce and caring and willing to stand for what he believes in even if it’s going to cost him everything. The two together have amazing chemistry and their end goal is the same. Change the ways of the angels. I very much enjoyed this book, it kept my attention, is well written and an amazing premise.

👏🏻👏🏻 A fantasy world I love to live in

I’m completely in love with these books. Just little bit after 1 am and finished book two. Not sure how I’m going to sleep after this. I cannot, CANNOT wait for the next one. Celeste is my favorite character in all of the books so far. I love her zero fluffs given attitude, her devotion and loyalty to her friends, and her ambition to change the corrupt system she was brought up in. I just adored everything about her. As for Asher, ah finally got to see this new possessive side of him and it was so worth waiting for. Oh my, he brought the heat in this book! It started off as enemies to lovers type romance. After her friend’s death, Celeste has pretty much given up on fulfilling her angel destiny. As she’s trying to make peace with the fact that she’s going to remain in the mortal world, Asher appears after four years of silence. They argue, bicker, make up, push and pull throughout most of the book. Celeste made me laugh so many times. And then there are surprises on top of surprises that had me gasping. Did not see that coming! This just became one of my favorite series of 2021.

Fantastic continuation of this paranormal fantasy romance series!!!

Feathers!! If this book didn't piece my soul back together after book 1 left if shredded on the floor!! "What doesn't destroy you will reshape you. Remember this Celeste." The story picks up several years after the events of Paris and Celeste has left the world of the guilds behind and made her choice to live her life as a human. She only has three months left until her time is up and her feathers will be gone. A personal tragedy brings Asher back into her life and he fulfills his promise to Leigh to help Celeste gain all her feathers and ascend. Of course, she wants nothing to do with him and his help until she discovers the secret he has been keeping. I loved the relationship between Leigh and Celeste in book 1 and to have her journey in this book is fantastic. She is a kickass woman, who is not afraid to choose her own path and live by her own rules. The constant sarcasm and banter back and forth with Asher and his just under the surface frustration with her was so fun and delightful to read!! I LOL'ed, many times. At the same time the pain each of them still holds so close to the surface, yet they each work so hard to keep from each other is heartbreaking at times. Love the journey that they each have to travel to finally reach each other, and thank you Olivia for bringing these two souls together and not crushing mine!! I was on the edge of my seat at the ending with the fates of Naya and Adam in the balance and so very much looking forward to their story. "You can rewrite this story a million different ways, Celeste, but it will always end the same. It will end with you and me."

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Celestial is a continuation from book 1, Feather, but it focuses on a new couple, Celestial and Asher. After the events of last book, Celestial has given up on ever earning her wings. But when the angel who took Celestial’s best friend from her comes barging back in, she begins to try again. These two have a beautiful love story that is a smudge forbidden since Celestial is still a fletching (an Angel who is still working on her wings) and Asher is the highest rank of Angel. These two butt heads so many times, but they are oddly perfect for each other. I love how the author has continued the story from book 1, but still has done such justice to these characters. The world building is amazing, I love this take on the angelic world. I cannot wait for book 3

5⭐️ angel, paranormal, fated lovers, redeeming romance.

I have found some all consuming books this year and The Angels of Elysium series now holds its’ rightful spot on that personal list of mine. I’m normally not a fan of series, but this one grabbed a hold onto my heart and has not let it go. Olivia has a amazing gift with words! I absolutely devoured Feather and Celestial was no different. I found myself reading at a much slower reading pace so I could fully absorb every word that was written. Asher played a large part in this…..I fell in love with him after not being a huge fan in Feather (all I can say is that man is a literal machine with all that paranormal angel stamina). The way the books in this series are all being tied together is pure genius and so well played out!!! I thought my need to read Cleastial was strong after finishing Feather….but I was wrong. My need to read Starlight is so much stronger and is now my most anticipated read of this year. IG handle: lattesandlotsofbooks

5 angel wings

What a fantastic sequel to feather. After that ending in book 1 I wasn't sure what to expect. This book exceeded my expectations and then some. I like how Celeste was stubborn and stayed true to her beliefs. Asher I admit I didn't like so much in book 1 but in this book he definitely redeemed himself. There's a big twist that gets revealed and I was literally screaming it was not what I expected at all. Olivia does such a great job of interweaving the different storylines that you don't get confused and it's easy to follow. Her way of storytelling is gripping and has you holding your breath until the last page. Read this one asap you won't regret it. Just make sure to read feather before this one.

A not so Angelic Romance

Weird right but I seem to suffer when it comes to Angelic books but this one withstood it’s genre. Celeste wanted nothing to do with Elysium since her best friends death. Asher made a promise and he aims to keep it despite his desire not to. If you like books about people who don’t want to be saved then this is for you. After the first book in this series I really didn’t want to continue due to book one’s lack of an HEA. I suffered throughout this book hoping this one was and spoiler… it is. Book one is explained and thank you for book three! Five stars!

SOOOO GOOD.

I did not read this book, I devoured it. After stumbling across Feather, I was hooked and Celestial did not disappoint. Celeste was everything I hoped she would be. In the first book she was rebellious and kept Leigh on her toes. It was wonderful to see that even with so much loss in her life, Celeste never lost her want to “be better.” Even when she wasn’t actively earning feathers, she was still trying to help people. Which brings up a sore spot for me! Come on now, my girl deserved some feathers for those unofficial saves! Leigh made it her responsibility to be there for Celeste in the first book and to see it come full circle filled my heart with so much joy but I also hurt for Celeste at the same time. She lost her sister but didn’t. The roles truly flipped. I’m trying to be vague because I truly think it’s something every reader needs to feel and experience for themself with knowing too much before hand. Asher. Oh Asher. I loved his love for Naya so so so so much. He is a wonderful caring father and an incredible partner. I enjoyed getting to see bits and pieces of younger Asher. Honestly I think there could be a prequel on Asher! My only issue with Asher was that it took so long for him to go to Celeste. As someone who likes timelines and actionable goals, him showing up when he did expecting her to get her wings with that little of time, really gave me anxiety. Lol!! Overall this book was fantastic. I was heartbroken at the end of the first book but this book left me with so much hope for the 3rd and final book. The entire journey has been such a devastating beautiful experience that I’m sad it is almost over. Thank you for making this a trilogy instead of one book!

Never been so relieved for a sequel!!!

I don’t think I haven ever frantically paged over to see if there would be a sequel in the author’s note as quickly as I did in Feather. Celestial may have one of the novels I have been anticipating the most over the past year and it did not even remotely disappoint. The development of Celeste and Asher’s relationship was an absolute joy to read and Olivia really does bring back Jarod and Leigh, although there’s going to be a plot twist of course. I’m so incredibly happy that there’s going to be a third book in this series and that Feather didn’t end up being a stand alone. Now to wait until December for another incredible book.

An awesome sequel to Feather

I loved reading about Asher & Celeste's relationship and how it developed over the course of the book! The characters aren't perfect but I feel like they're consistent and develop, and it was extremely easy to get lost in their world. This sequel did not disappoint and I'm so glad that Feather was not a standalone like how the author initially intended for it to be! Looking forward to Starlight!

better than the first

I have been postponing reading this book because I didn’t love the first one. I love this author and Feather is probably my least favorite of all her books. But I’m in love with this book and I can’t wait to read Starlight.

Paranormal romance

Second book in the series of various levels of angels, this time about Asher and Celeste. Happy ever lasting. Good characters

Unengaging

2.5 stars. I made it through, but I was never really that engaged. Neither Celeste nor Asher were particularly riveting characters.

A great stand alone !

This book works as a standalone or as a sequel to Feather but regardless this book is amazing ! You will be drawn in to the new characters as well as learn more about previous characters. There's also some steamy scenes that you will love ! This book will not disappoint you and will stay with you forver.

Amazing continuation

This book was an amazing continuation to the series. Asher and Celeste’s love was unique and their story with the plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Do yourself a solid and read this series

Whew this one had me ready to pluck some feathers! The ending has my dying to get to the next book! I absolutely love this series.

meh

I didn’t love it. Only reason I didn’t dnf was to be ready for starlight. I hope it doesn’t disappoint and will be worth the wait.

So feathering good!

Eek. I can’t even! Feather was one of my favorite books of 2020 and Celestial has already earned a top spot for 2021. This storyline and world are so unique and one-of-a-kind. I cannot wait to read Starlight!

Surprised me

This series is very good. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as it is. Looking forward to the next book.

Angels

Loved this book. I can not wait to see how Leigh and Jarod act once they figure out who they are to each other

Truly celestial!

Loving how it breaks and let my heart soar. It started as heartbreaking and concluded to a happily ever beginning. I can't wait for book 3. I am counting the days. This has just become my best read for the year.

Celestial

I have been waiting a long time for this one. I loved every bit of it! I could not put it down. It became an addiction.

Good following up

Very good read it left me needing and wanting to know what going to happen next. I'm off to read the next book.

Ok

I liked book 2 better than the 1st book. I am on the fence about Angel stories and this series hasnt changed my mind. Celeste and Asher grew on me and i liked there chemistry better than Leigh and Jarod.

Such a sucker for this book 🥹

| Celestial Review | “Because we aren’t the sum of our mistakes but the sum of how we deal with them.” Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Storyline: 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 On repeat while reading: Edge of Desire - John Mayer Olivia Wildenstein knew exactly what we needed to heal our hearts after Feather and, man, does Celestial deliver. Celestial was such an incredible read, I may have even loved it a little more than book 1. The story takes place 4 years after Feather, and follows secondary characters from book 1 as they continue to deal with the aftermath of the tragedy that befell Jarod and Leigh. And if you’re heart is still torn up over Leigh and Jarod, worry not. They make an appearance in Celestial, just in a very unexpected way. 🤫 Synopsis: Leigh’s best friend Celeste, has all but given up on completing her wings. After all, why would she want to live amongst angels who’s rules and systems are corrupt and unjust? All is going according to planned until the archangel, Seraphim Asher, decides to make her his personal project. Not only does Celeste despise the Golden Boy of Elysium, but she blames him for what happened to Leigh and Jarod. Little does she know, Asher has a secret that will turn everything she believes on its head and only she can help him shake up Elysium’s outdated rules. Celestial is a slow burn enemies to lovers story with a bit of forced proximity, overprotective male, ‘who did this to you?’, and soulmate tropes. I absolutely adore this book and it’s characters and hope you will too! 🖤

I need more than 5 stars!

in a mere ninety-two days, the feathers that link Celeste to the people she loathes will finally falloff. She's convinced she will not miss her wings. Celeste has spent every day of the last four years building a life apart from the angelic guilds. She's been going to parties, pursuing human endeavors over angelic ones, attending college, and acting in ways that have her shedding feathers across the cobblestoned streets of Paris and all over New York. She completely swore off any and all angels. But, the death of the dear woman who took her in the night Leigh died brings a desire to keep her wings and the most detestable angle she knows, the one who is complicit in Leigh's death-Seraph Asher. Celeste keeps telling Asher to feather off but the unreasonable man refuses to leave her alone. He insists that she earn the feathers to complete her wings and he's determined to help her. When she demands that he give her one good reason to complete her wings, he gives her the one reason she can't resist: he tells her what he did with Leigh's soul. Asher never meant to share his secret with anyone, but he does it as he knows it's the only way to save Celeste, the rebellious Fletchling that he can't imagine spending eternity without. Celestial is the book I've been waiting to read since I finished reading Feather. Feather decimated my heart, left me in a heap sobbing and Celestial put me back together. The world building and character development in Celestial is just as magnificent as it was in Feather. The storyline picks up perfectly after Jarod and Leigh's ending. The characters are so well written and well rounded. This series is absolute perfection. And, Celestial managed to do something very few sequels accomplish, it surpassed the first book. I'm so very thankful to Olivia Wildenstein for giving me a copy of Celestial, in exchange for an honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no impact on my opinions or the content of this review.

Actual Rating: 5+++/5 Ni aheeva ta Stars

Oh man, where do I even start? This time last year, when I finished reading Feather, book one in Angels of Elysium series, I was utterly heartbroken and could barely recover from learning how brutal my beloved angels’, Leigh and Jarod’s, fates had turned out. The Seven (of Archangels) and their celestial politics destroyed their own kind and further created a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet as a result. Back then, I clearly remembered telling Olivia how devastated I was after reading that book (even though I still loved every single moment of the story), and that I didn’t think I’d ever be ready for the sequel. Mercifully, Olivia sort of promised that the remaining characters would have their much well-deserved happy ending in book two, a.k.a. Celestial, and guess what? I’ve never been more delighted to prove her right. In short, this book was so worth the wait, and it was PURE PERFECTION. Period. For starters, Celestial picked up where Feather left off and whereas the first book talked about Leigh and Jarod’s story, this one revolved around Leigh’s younger best friend, Celeste, and the very Archangel who was interested in having Leigh as his consort, Asher. Celeste was a feisty, hot-tempered, and full-of-surprise fletching, a young angel who hadn’t completed her 1,000 feathers before ascending to Elysium, and even though she wasn’t so keen on accomplishing her mission at first, she was later convinced and inspired by a specific Archangel she despised most—you guessed it—Asher. I loved how much Celeste and Asher had grown together, from ultimate enemies to potential allies to something more, within the expanse of one book, one amazing story. In order to fulfill her dream, Celeste had to reform as many ill-behaved people (which were called sinners) before her deadline, and to my astonishment, I appreciated her missions more than anything else. In other words, I liked how Olivia depicted the sinners’ wrongdoings, from less serious ones such as treating their dogs poorly to more imperative issues like domestic violence, drug abuse/dealing, money laundering, etc. This book was a real gem as it conveyed important messages to the readers, successfully reflecting on the real world we’re living in nowadays, by shedding light on all those aforementioned subjects. Honestly, Olivia’s brilliant writing skill was a rare-find in the genres of Fiction and Paranormal Romance alike, and for that, I truly admired her. Aside from the incredible character development and the one-of-a-kind writing style, the ending was indeed the most satisfying I’d ever expected. As promised, Olivia certainly did NOT let me (and soon, I’m sure, all of YOU) down. Not only did Asher and Celeste get their HEA, but I also got to catch a glimpse of a beautiful beginning of the friendship between TWO of my NEW absolute favorite characters. *wink wink* I mean, seriously, could this book get more promising?? To sum up, Celestial was definitely a book worth reading, along with the entire series! Olivia had totally outdone herself with this unforgettable sequel, and now I just have to wait…one more year (yikes!!) for the third and final installment, Starlight. If I had to be super picky about Celestial, I’d have to admit that I’d appreciate more if there’d be some elaboration on the process of Celeste reforming the sinners. As intricately plotted-out as those missions were, I just wish there could be slightly more detailed descriptions of the action and how every task was taken care of, but of course, that was just me being the pain in the rump, as Celeste would put it, so please don’t mind me. LOL Anyways, please go add this book to your TBR, or better yet, on top of your HIGHLY ANTICIPATED READ of 2021, and you can thank me later!!

Five Magnanimous Stars to Celestial, book 2 in the Angels of Elysium series!

Do you hear that fluttering? Yeah, that's the sound of my heart beating rapidly after finishing Celestial, book 2 in the Angels of Elysium series. Olivia Wildenstein is such a prolific author because each book she publishes is better than the previous one. Celestial is just down-right sinful in the best of ways! I hope Leigh, Celeste, Jarod, and Asher are up in Elysium flying around the five stars I award this epic new release.<3 Olivia Wildenstein never fails to make me blush! Each tender moment between Asher and Celeste spiked my body temperature beginning in my cheeks and extended all the way to the tips of my toes...I'm serious. Covers HAD to come off in some of the steamier scenes in this book, LOL. Minus the steamy scenes that I LIVE for in a good Olivia Wildenstein book, Celestial will grab you by the....feels and never let go. Guard your heart, dear reader, because I wasn't even 5% into this book and I cried. If you try to read Celestial before you read the first book, Feather, you are making a terrible mistake! Feather is the tragedy to Celestial's salvation and I urge you to have your soul and heart crushed as your read Feather...doooo it, you know you want to! If you don't read Feather you will be spoiled by the incredibly beautiful and heart wrenching events that take place in Feather and that, my friend, is a travesty. Celeste spends most of the book drowning in grief and you really identify with her struggles with death, loneliness, and hopelessness. We all have felt similar feelings and I think the reason I love this series so much, really all of Olivia Wildenstein's books so much, is because she really knows how to give us hope. I firmly believe that capturing hope profoundly in writing is what makes a book great story that will live on in a reader's heart and mind long after they read its last page. It's the same for life: without hope all is lost. Olivia's prose is raw and beautiful, it is not difficult to grasp and then you slowly realize you are under her spell (or love potion, perhaps? lol). My first Olivia Wildenstein book was Feather and after listening to the audiobook as I read along with my hardcover, I knew that she would instantly be added to my auto-buy author list. That is how much I love her writing! Furthermore, can I just say how much I adore Asher? One of my favorite quotes from the book goes: "'You found your pants.' (Asher) 'Most men would be disappointed, but you seem quite pleased.' (Celeste) 'Might be because most men are after your body, and I'm after your soul.'" I wish I was an angel or just Celeste's bestie helping her earn her feathers so she can ascend to Elysium. Even though these characters aren't real, I'm so grateful to Olivia for making me believe they could be. Read Feather, read Celestial, read every single book by Olivia Wildenstein because you really need her words and all her stories in your life if you want your heart to be broken ten different ways to Sunday and have her lovingly heal it with the magic of h o p e!

Absolutely Loved this

Just when I thought Olivia couldn't slay me anymore than she did with "Feathers" she proves me wrong by writing Celestial. You'd think a follow-up story can't beat its predecessor, well "Celestial" comes in pretty dam close if not better. I loved this story so much I didn't want to finish it quickly, and the holidays didn't help so I milked taking in the story and drowning in Asher and Celestial battles, grievances, banter and love for not just one another, but those they cared about especially characters from Feathers. Olivia took this story to a different level including sins that occur everyday in our life and some really thriller cruel ones that I hope I never read in the news, but know it does probably happen somewhere if not in movies, but other countries. It made this story even more interesting to see where the plot was going to take us and how Olivia would wrap up the conclusion. Making every step or page turning more interesting in every chapter that I couldn't wait to see where she was leading us. And then just WOW... that ending!! I loved it and we get to hear Adam for just a brief tease in the Epilogue which was absolutely brilliant. Leaving me looking so forward to Starlight!

Brilliant!

BRILLIANT. I was delighted to receive an early review copy of this book. I loved Feather and I had high expectations for this book because it was about two of my favorite characters from this world; Celeste and Asher. First things first, as Olivia knows, I AM CALLING DIBS ON ASHER. With that out of the way, let me say that this series has amazing world building!!! The Angel system, the fact that fletchings (young angels) need to EARN their feathers by reforming human sinners is absolutely unique and refreshing. Celeste has always been ashamed of her small wings. It didn’t help that she was known as Winglet. No that her only family is gone, she has given up on ever earning her wings and ascending to Elysium. But Asher, our beloved Archangel, has a different opinion. This book had it all. Fantastic characters, wonderful writing, steamy chemistry and plot twists!! If you loved Feather, you are going to ADORE Celestial. I cannot recommend this book enough. I cannot wait for Starlight. 5 Stars!!!

This author has a depth and breath of storytelling I've not seen anywhere else

Celestial is a Dark Horse. Word by word it has slowly wormed it's way straight to my heart. It has touched me deeply in a way I can't realy explain. Celeste is a loner, and all too soon a griever. When a tragic event strikes and rattles her life, Asher appears. He is the man Celeste despises the most. And he is determined to make Celeste collect her feathers and ascend to Elysium. Their releationship is rocky, the term - enemies to lovers - fits them like a glove. But through the time they form a deep bond. It is full of understanding, compassion and love, in a soulfull way. I loved Feathers, but Celestial wears heavy emotions and seeps them through your skin, through your being, to your heart. This author has a depth and breath of storytelling I've not seen anywhere else. Her stories are always magnetic and unique.

Amazing audiobook!

Wow! Just wow! I listened to the audiobook and let me just say that the narrator absolutely NAILED IT! She’s the perfect voice for Celeste. And also for Naya. The audio was wonderful to listen to! And the story is fantabulous! Feather broke my heart into little tiny pieces and Celestial started putting it back together. I love how snarky, sarcastic, and sure of herself Celeste is, and I loved her and Asher’s story. Also, Naya is completely and utterly adorable! I was really happy how the story turned out for everyone. The romance is lovely and very steamy. I can’t wait for Starlight!

This book hurt my heart!

"That name hurts my heart..." "I didn’t mean to hurt your heart." "...why does it hurt?" This. Quote. Hurts. My. Heart. Everything about Feather, book one in this series, HURT MY HEART. Everything about Celestial, book two, hurt it in a good way, if that’s possible? While my brain can’t seem to function right now to write a better review, I believe the quote(s) I chose from this book to describe how I feel after reading it are accurate. In every way possible. The hurt I still feel from the Feather is VERY different from the hurt I feel from Celestial. Which will me most definitely be different from the hurt I’ll feel when Starlight comes out. Don’t believe me? Read it for yourself...

Impossible to describe

How is it possible, to still feel the heartache from book one into book 2. This whole story is so bittersweet! My heart ached through out it. Because of the characters, for the love of each character the author portrayed. It’s a feathering heart warming story. Without spoilers, this book is BEAUTIFUL, page after page. A system that is unjust who Asher, Celeste, and Tobias attempt to rewrite it. This book will never be a disappointment, nor will book one. A book that touched my very soul it will be impossible to forget. And Adam, who will be a complicated character, I can already tell Naya will have a challenge with him.

Smoldering Angel Romance 🖤

Where Feather broke my heart Celestial put it back together. It follows the story of Celeste after her friend Leigh’s death and her decision to earn her feathers to be able to ascend to Elysium. The story line was surprising and delightful. Following her struggles and the twists in the plot made the story unputdownable. I would recommend this book to anyone who like a steamy romantic story or a fantasy book or books about angels.

OMG, it was fantastic! Everything my heart needed.

Olivia has done it again, gave readers a wonderfully fantastic, hard-hitting emotional masterpiece that made me have all the feels. It started in Feather and now the Angels of Elysium series continues with the second book in the series, Celestial. Let me start by saying that Feather destroyed me, I loved it, but it totally wrecked me and I am sure I'm not alone in the sentiment. Olivia brought those characters to life and gave such a detailed world I couldn't help but fall in and be totally invested. Feather was supposed to be a standalone but thank the gods, Olivia turned it into a series because I was not ready to let go. Celestial is Celeste's and Asher's story, that's right a favorite political activist angel and the "Golden Boy" archangel himself have a book that is solely centered on them. It's been years since the events in Feather, Celeste is even more jaded about her angelic background than before and Asher is dealing with the guilt and the consequences of his actions. Celeste is no longer that young fledgling, she is an adult who is studying at Columbia, hangs out at a bar, and has no interest in earning her feathers. Celeste already had little faith in her fellow angels but after losing Leigh because of their actions, she's decided she rather live her life the way she wants with the humans she cares for. I love that Celeste knows what she wants, she sticks with her beliefs and doesn't let the majority talk her out of them but mostly I love how even though she doesn't believe in the angelic laws she believes in what they do and still helps people. Celeste has one of the kindest hearts even if she is rough around the edges and I can see how she and Leigh would be close friends. While she is grown at the start of the book, I love seeing her grow emotionally throughout the book. She is working on her grief but also starting to figure things out, trying to find her direction which is difficult considering that a certain angel has reentered her life and she is incredibly stubborn. I really liked getting to know Asher better in this book. He seems different as well, the events in Feather changed him as well. Asher seemed so perfect, a stickler for the rules, emotional cool, and someone who benefited from the current law system the angels have. In Celestial Asher is racked with guilt over his role in what happened with Leigh and Jared, he sees himself as unfit and has even started to question the angelic system that he had benefited from. Asher comes back into Celeste's life and things explode from there. Asher and Celeste are like gasoline and fire, one is always angry (or passionate) while the other is fanning the flames. Oddly enough Celeste and Asher are great together, Asher can take her abrasiveness and supports Celeste, while Celeste encourages him to feel and makes him think about how their world is governed. The passion between them is intense and undeniable, and while I didn't see them together in the first book, I can most definitely see it now. The world-building continues with better insight into the guilds, angelic laws, and how the caste system works. It really just gets me how the angels are so open to somethings but when it comes to other, especially caste, they are so closed off and stuck in their ways. Which is a major issue that revolves around this book. The angels need to grow, change, and adapt to the worlds and beings around them. Some have forgotten what the true mission is and they need to get back on target. This series and the emotions... I loved the entire book while certain parts had me smiling so big and others really got me. There are a few things that are going on (that I can't fully mention) and while it's great in some ways in other ways it just brings on the waterworks because I am so invested in not just this story but the series in general. I loved Celestial, I am eternally grateful to Olivia for the second book in the Angel of Elysium series. I enjoyed getting to know Celeste and Asher more, their story was compelling and made my heart hurt in some areas, and made me laugh with joy in others. The passion, the angel politics, human corruption, the hard-hitting emotional scenes, all made for an extraordinary story. The best part the ending didn't make my heart hurt, I'm counting down the days until I can get my hands on the third book in the series, Starlight is gonna be amazing.

This book destroyed me

Can I give a book a billion stars? No? Well, I'm doing it anyway. This book is utter perfection, and I don't mean this in a flippant way like one might say when sampling an extra fudgey brownie. "This brownie is perfection!" NO. All fudgey brownies are the same. This book is not a fudgey brownie. This book is a brownie that doesn't exist and will never exist because you cannot see with the naked eyes because of your preconceived notions of what books and brownies should be. It exists on a different plane. Reading this book is traveling into a greater existence. Let me write this review now as I crave brownies. Four years after the events of FEATHER, Celeste, Leigh's friend, now lives in the human world, having sworn off anything having to do with the heavens and angels. But when tragedy strikes, she's reunited with someone from her past. Someone she hates with every feather on her wings. Now, on a timeclock to finish her wings, she learns the truth about what happened with Leigh and Jarod, and to let forgiveness in her heart where there had been nothing but bitterness. My favorite trope EVER is enemies to lovers, and this hits the mark. Asher is a moody Seraphim who tasks himself with helping Celeste earn her feathers, and holy God do we get some spice. I mean I knew it would be amazing; having read Feather, I was fully prepared to fan myself. This is definitely not insta-love, but a slow burn of hate, annoyance, fun, and humor. Dare I say it? Okay, I think CELESTIAL passed FEATHER. That doesn't happen very often. 95% of the time, sequels are always worse than the firsts, in my opinion. I didn't want it to end, and it's a long book, to begin with. But I was hoping that my kindle said 12 hours to finish rather than 7 so, Olivia, I say make STARLIGHT, like, 800 pages because I need these angels in my life. I need some space. I miss my friends. I took this journey with them and I need to know how they're doing. I have severe FOMO. This book destroyed me.

Shaken to my SOUL!

I. Am. Breathless. This story is a continuation from Feather. Picking up with Leigh's friend Celeste. The writing and pacing are flawless and the story itself, divine. I can't even begin to express how much I love this series so far. An angel world riddled with corruption and archaic morality. The characters set out to do what is right as opposed to what has been written before.

I loved this story so much

Yay! Yay! Yay! I loved this story so much. The characters, the setting. The banter between Celeste and Asher. In book 1 I wasn’t a fan of the beauty of a man but in book 2 my heart has fallen for him. Those epilogues have me feeling so excited for book 3. Definitely not a stand alone. Yes all books need to be read in order. So worth it.

Holy angel babies 💜

Oh my goodness! My heart is so full! I absolutely adore this book! I knew Celeste would be my favorite, but she really is my absolute favorite! She's so snarky and doesn't take crap from anyone. Soulmates just took on a whole new meaning for me 💜

#NEEDTOGETSOMEWINGS

I find it insane that Olivia Wildenstein hasn't been on my radar until recently because I LOVED this book, and the previous one, Feather (Book 1 in series) so very much! I'm going to start out by saying that since there are things that made Celeste the way she is stemming from the previous book, I'm not inclined to give detail away except she's gone rogue from her angel destiny. And the man that she despised the most, one of the 7 Archangels Asher, is back trying to get her to get her wings but she's not having any of it. Feather destroyed my heart, while Celestial started to heal it so it definitely is an emotional journey in the angel world. I'm so in love now that I'm not sure how I'll be able to wait for the final book without losing my mind because I'm 1000% invested in the Angels of Elysium world. So, that's all I'm willing to impart because y'all seriously just need to go on the journey for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Best book yet

I’ve read all of this authors books and this series is by far her best. This is a great book in the series and I can’t wait to read the next. This is not a stand-alone so you need to read the first to understand the background of this book. If your debating reading it don’t, just get it. You won’t regret it.

Great book 2, can't wait book 3!

(4.5 stars) This story takes place 4.5 years after the events of the first book. Celeste is adrift in the world, grieving for Leigh and has given up on getting her wings. The one day, Asher steps into her life, who she hates quite a lot (from her POV, for a very good reason). I think you can guess how this will work out if you've read any romantic book before. The world is very interesting, the writing is easy to read and pleasant. Some of the side characters are very lovable, some are easy to hate. I liked this second book a bit more than the first one, but they are very similar. If you liked the first, you'll enjoy this second one too! Can't wait to read book three and see how this all turns out.

Adorable

I had wanted to read about celeste so badly and to know what happened to Leigh and Jarod. I actually never really considered asher being in the story and I'm just so thrilled. I love how we met Tobias and learned of more angelic rules that need to be broken. I loved all of this very much.

Celestial

I fell in love with this series and already cannot wait for the next one. Both books so far have been quick reads, only taking me a couple hours for each, simply because it transports you into this world so effortlessly. I’m not worried about page numbers or reading speed, it simply happens because I’m THERE and I keep going and then suddenly Im done and stuck waiting for more. I implore anyone to read this series and fall in love with the world and the characters as I have.

Feathers on the Wind

‘𝙄’𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨. 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙥 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚.‘ I had no idea that I’d love this series as much as I do, or else I would have started long ago. This is the perfect middle in a series. A beautiful continuation of Feather, and an informing introduction to the upcoming Starlight. All of the information, champions for a cause, and a solid enemies to lovers foundation in this one. I didn’t like Celeste too much in book one, although she wasn’t present enough for me to solidify that decision, but in this one, she came to life and I found that I did adore her after all She, along with our hero, turned out to be the perfect match after all.

ASHER! My love

This is my favorite one of the series!! I don’t know what it is about Celeste and Asher that just get me. Their chemistry is amazing. The plot and emotion is unforgettable. I’ve reread this book alone about 5 times. I can’t get enough. Enemies to friends to lovers with just the right amount of spice. Strong female character? Check. Dreamy, bossy, hot love interest? Check. Incredible chemistry? Check. Honestly great writing too. It’s hard to do NA fantasy romance without falling into the immature writing with s*x mistake. I love Olivia’s writing. I can’t wait to pick this up again.

Another AMAZing Read from Olivia

I received an ARC but the views/opinions are all my own. CELESTIAL....a Wonderful love story between Asher and Celeste, with the HEA everyone wants. (Well most everyone) I admit Feather(book 1) will forever be in my top 10 books partly because of the ending. That being said i did really enjoy the build up of the relationship between Asher and Celeste but at times she annoyed me. (Which is not a negative) Overall great story line and a surprise or two I did not see coming). It felt so good to be back in the world of Elysium. If you have not read book 1 I suggest you start there. Olivia is one of my favorite authors her writing flows and keeps you turning pages. I highly recommend anything she has a hand in. I appreciate the chance to read this one early. Thank you 😇

Stupendous sequel

The ending to Feather had torn my heart out, but left me with the teensiest bit of hope... and I cannot tell you how much I adored this sequel (and the fact that there is a THIRD book coming!!). Asher and Celeste, who had been secondary characters in Feather, got their chance to shine in Celestial. This book developed another strong romance with an emotional backstory and had some gorgeous world building to boot. I loved learning how Elysium functioned and Asher’s role within it. I loved seeing Celeste grow into the strong and sensitive woman we’d seen hints of in Feather and seeing how she helped Asher to further become the archangel he truly needed to be... I cannot wait to see even more of this world and these characters in the next book. This is a new, absolute favorite series!

Good Continuation of Series

I liked Asher and Celeste as characters more than I liked Jarod and Leigh from Feather. So why am I rating this book lower than I rated Feather? A couple of reasons. I read these books back to back, and I think that might have been a mistake. Feather well and truly traumatized me with its ending. My feelings were a little too raw and I probably should have read something completely different in between or just stopped reading for a few days before trying to continue the series. Another reason is that this book is long, and at times it felt like a burden. Celeste struggles to complete her wings before her allotted time frame is up. In doing so we accompany her on quite a few missions to earn feathers. I could have done without the vast majority of those mission details. Having said that I still really enjoyed this book. Celeste is a breath of fresh air. She doesn't take anything from anyone. She feels like she should be treated equally to everyone else and she isn't afraid to say something when she isn't. I loved Asher's redemption in this story. LOVED IT! I also liked the expansion of world building that happens here and the continuation of the overall story line for the series. Can I just take one second to comment on Asher's use of Angelic in this book? SWOON! I liked this story a lot and am glad that I read it.

Just what I needed after Feather

Celestial was the book that I needed after Feather. Feather broke me but Celestial stitched me back together. Celeste's journey is this book is amazing. There are hard times in this book, but Celeste takes on those challenges and becomes the women that she is meant to be. Also Asher is the perfect and patient partner for her. Their love story is beautiful, especially the trust that they cultivate between each other. I love Naya and all the new characters introduced in this book. My heart was happy with the story line and the ending. I cannot wait until Naya and Adam's story :)

I’m in love

I’m absolutely in love with this world. It’s not as action packed as I usually like but it’s sweet & heartbreaking ❤️ All of it wrapped up in a lovely story. I definitely recommend reading this.

Loved it!

The second installment picked up right after the first book ended. We see more of Asher and Celeste. Great pacing throughout the series, I loved several of the secondary characters and disliked a few of them...you will see why. I enjoyed the missions and with one mission, I was very shocked. I can’t wait to read the next book, Starlight. Oh, my heart!! I don’t know how the author does it but this one left me with a good book hangover!! If you enjoy enemies to lovers tropes then this book is definitely for you!!

Feathering Amazing!

I’ve waited for Celestial for a long time and now Starlight! OMG this feathering amazing! Asher and Celeste. Leigh and Jarrod. Naya and Adam. Sighhhh. Just sign me up for celestial right away!

5 heart pounding stars

I feel like I've been waiting on this book forever! It did not disappoint. The anticipation came from needing to know Jarod and Leighs fate, but quickly was drawn into Asher and Celestes story. Asher was the real MVP for me in this story, and I held absolute hatred for him in my heart at the end of "Feather" 😂 A real testament to the story weaving skills of Olivia Wildenstein that she can turn you around and make you root for someone you hated in such a believable way. Fantastic book and I am so emotionally invested in little Nayas story, that December can't get here fast enough.

Be still my heart!!!!!!!!

How could you do this to me. Just as powerful as the first book and I'd give it 10 stars if I could. This writer is a rare talent. She creates amazing storylines with powerful characters. They are strong with vulnerabilities that catch your heart. Celeste has grown up but still needs lots of feathers. She only has two months. Of course, she has given up her hope to ascend and wishes to pursue a human lifestyle. Along comes Asher to foil that plan. The battle of wills turns into a love story. Keep the tissues handy, you'll need them. I've already pre-ordered book 3.

My whole ♥

Olivia you've done it! This book is everything. I didn't know how you were going to heal our hearts(if you know you know) or redeem the loathsome Asher, but you've done it!!! Asher has scars and pain you don't see in Feather so he comes off as a huge jerk, but this man is has a heart and desires change. Celeste we met as a snarky fledgling is all grown up she hasn't lost her quick wit, but she has lost her desire for living. This book is so good tension between our two MC is wonderful the plot omg. If I could 10 🌟 this I would in a heartbeat

Gave me life

Where the first book Feather shattered my very soul and left me broke. Celestial took those broken pieces of me and gave me life again. I do love a good enemies to lovers story and this one was done perfectly. Tbh I wasn’t much of fan of Asher in Feather, but I come to really love him in this book. To see Celeste and Asher love bloom for each other was perfect. This book left my heart and soul happy. I can not wait for Starlight.

Book 3 can't come soon enough!

Amazing!!! Celestial did not disappoint and will be getting a re-read very soon. The world building and character development is spectacular. Like all of Olivia's books, I simply could not put Celestial down. I absolutely fell in love with Asher and Celeste and it was satisfying to have the void that were left after Feather filled. I am so very excited for Starlight and even more excited that Celestial now has it's rightful place next to Feather proudly on my bookshelf!

I can breathe again.

I finally got the courage to read this book after my heart ached. You are a phenomenal written. Can not wait for the next addition.

I...have no words. A beautiful story.

This book is a sequel to Feather, which absolutely WRECKED me-it was beautiful and haunting. This book is a worthy sequel. I devoured this book and am so invested in this world. I loved seeing Celeste grow and learning more about Asher. In keeping with the first book, parts of the story are almost too painful but I loved where the author took the story. I’ve never read a story like Feather and now Celestial. It will tear you down and lift you up. Don’t miss this book.

Even better than “Feather!”

I really enjoyed “Celestial!” I liked it even more than “Feather” and I cannot wait to read the next installment. Olivia made sure you could feel exactly what the characters felt from both perspectives. Since I am quite a stickler for grammar and proper editing, I’ll add that it was so thoroughly edited! I’m not sure I found a single error! Very impressive!

Another fantastic read

Okay, the first one was really good. The second one was even better. I love Asher to pieces. And we've always loved Celeste. Starlight is going to rip my guts out, I know. I won't spoil this second book for anyone, but Asher does something so wonderful and to the risk of his own life and position. Ah! I'm in love.

Heavenly

So very good! And I have to appreciate all of the fixes to the plot holes in the first book! Wildenstein had me laughing and crying and all the emotions in between throughout this whole book. Sooooooo good! These are definitely making my favorites shelf, and I hope they come in a hard copy version so I can display them on my shelves. All the stars to Celestial! I cannot wait for the next one!!!!

This FEATHERING book is a necessity

I can’t even talk too much about this without wanting to give everyone spoilers because it’s so good you just want to scream how amazing it is to everyone around you. My heart was beyond happy to get a 2nd book, but the author soon gifting us with a 3rd feels like a miracle from Seraph Asher himself. Can’t. Feathering. Wait. Stop reading reviews and just read the book already!!!

Amazing

This sequel was everything I expected and more. The book keeps you hooked all the way until the end and then some. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Omgosh I’m so glad there was a second book

The first book broke my heart a little, but I love Asher and Celeste so much. I’m also really excited to see Adam and Naya unfold and honestly I hope book three is finally where Claire and Eliza get shut down for good!

Solemn heart..elevated

If you read the first book, then like me you were probably left with solemn tears and a heavy heart. Where the first book, Asher may not have been a favorite.. that is no longer the case. The struggle both Celeste and Asher carried in the beginning of this book allowed a deep view into their souls. Loved them and their story. Asher.. love him!

So much better than it's predecessor

I really really like Celestial. The characters were fleshed out so much more, the plot had higher stakes, bigger bad guys and more grey area than before. Even though towards the 50% mark it was very clear how certain character's plot lines would be resolved, I definitely didn't feel like the novel was lacking for it. I'm really looking forward to reading Starlight, its sounds like an enemies to lover story line which should be interesting considering these characters are angelic! Waiting a whole year will be torture!

Amazing!

It actually took me awhile to gather up the courage to read this one. The first book crushed me. I’m so glad that this one had more of an HEA. I loved Celeste in the first book so I was so happy to read her story. Also, I’m so sick and tired of Claire, ugh. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Soaring

This book stole my heart like the one before. I will impatiently be waiting for the next installment so that my favorite character may be reunited once more.

An Amazing Story From Start to Finish

Celestial was one unexpected surprise after another. After reading Feather, I would have never guessed sparks would fly between Celeste and a certain Seraph but I am certainly glad they did! Celestial ties up a lot of the loose ends from the previous book, while giving us a sneak peak into the future for our favorite characters. I loved reading this story and can’t wait for the next one.

Finally!

I waited a long time to read this book. At first I thought Celeste was too bitter and unforgiving but she grew on me. And of course Asher was just perfection! I cannot wait to read the next one! So glad Olivia is continuing with the series.

Couldn't put it down

People say that alot. In this case I literally fell asleep last night trying to finish this book. It's just that good. I love the feather dropping snark and sarcasm. You can't help but love the characters and the story is captivating.

So good!

I absolutely enjoyed this story! Celeste And Asher I have to admit are my new favorites for sure. Their story is amazing! And that ending oh boy I can’t wait to find out what happens to Naya and Adam!!! I highly recommend this story. So good!

Great book

I loved this story and how it unfolded. Of course I waited almost a year to read it. The character building was great and the world building. I don’t want to spoil it so I won’t say anymore. I do love this author also. Can’t wait for the 3rd book.

Loading awesomeness....

I have been waiting for this book for months and was not disappointed. Because true love waits. ^.^

Do yourself a favour and read this series!!

OMG. All the feels! Swoony and action-packed! I love everything Olivia writes and this is carved on my heart forever and ever!!!

I loved it!

I loved the first book and was excited to read Celestial. It was so good: Asher and Celeste are everything. I just can't wait until Starlight comes out!

Good

It was a great read. Not as great as the first book. But the storyline was good and the segue into the third book was nice. I can’t wait to read the third book!

Superb

I’m an avid reader but for the last few months none of the books I had read drew me in. These two books pulled me in. Ripped tears from my eyes and made my heart swell. The emotions the author brought to life with these characters leaves me impatiently waiting for the third book. I highly recommend this series. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

Love Love love

Absolutely loved this book , I'm loving this story I can't wait for the next one!

Love this story

I was hooked from the beginning. I love this series. Now I have to wait patiently till December for the 3rd book. I guess I have something to look forward to.

Great read

Fresh take on angels n there rules. Best to read in order but if you don't the story still eventually cat he's you up so you are not lost.

Amazing! Must read!

This book was the perfect sequel to feather. Loved both Celeste and Asher!

Incredible second installment!

I am officially obsessed with this world! 🥰 Celestial is an INCREDIBLE follow up to Feather. Poor Celeste is so heartbroken and hopeless in the beginning, having given up on even wanting to gain her feathers and ascend to Elysium. After the death of the woman who has been her mother figure the last few years, she comes face to face with archangel Asher again, the angel she hates most in the world. Asher feels responsible for Celeste’s current frame of mind, so he’s determined to help her start earning feathers again. Grudgingly, Celeste begins to help reform sinners again and starts gaining feathers. It’s a race against the clock to gain all her feathers before her time is up and she loses her wings all together. I “feathering” loved this book!! We learn more about their world and the rules the angels must follow. And some big questions from the last book get answered in this one. I loved watching Celeste go from broken and wanting nothing to do with the angel system, to watching Asher grow on her and them catching feelings for each other. 🥰 I loved seeing her want to succeed so she can have a voice in the system and make changes so all classes of angels are treated fairly, and so she can spend eternity with her loved ones. Such fantastic storytelling!! I am SO looking forward to Naya and Adam’s story in the next book!

Freaking Awesome!!!

Loved, loved loved this book! Feather broke my heart and Celestial revived it!!! So unbelievably stoked to read the third book in this series because of the 2 main characters! I will not be saying who these 2 characters are because I refuse to release spoilers!!! Love you Olivia!!!

Perfectly consistent

Celestial is perfectly consistent with the Celeste and Asher we came to know in Feather. Because of that, the story is a lot less tragic and impactful, but is also funnier and steamier. It’s also reveals more of the world Wildenstein built for the angels to populate. I’m hoping that Starlight brings Elysium into even more focus as we will watch Adam and Naya’s seconds chance at both life and love. I’m particularly hopeful that some of it takes place in hell. I can’t wait!

Loved this book can't wait for the next one

I loved the story and characters and how things came together and unfolded. It was a great read and a bit of a roller coaster. Highly recommend

Wow!

I never would have thought Celeste's story would go in this direction. So many little tie backs to the first book with such depth of characters and emotions. Once again a heart wrenching love story about overcoming obstacles internal and external to become your best self.

SPOILERS: Just as good as Feather

I've been anticipating the release of this book since finishing Feather. Before reading, my first thoughts were, "I don't know how I'm going to feel about Asher as a character." And, "I don't know how in the world Olivia can create a sequel as good as Feather." Of course I desperately hoped that Jarod and Leigh's souls would be saved. I didn't just want their souls to disappear completely. When Naya was first introduced in the book, I immediately suspected that she had Leigh's soul. However, that's the ONLY predictable thing in the book. After that everything else was a surprise and set a great progression for the story. Ultimately Olivia continued the series beautifully and I fell in love with Celeste and Asher as much as I did with Jarod and Leigh. I'm so so so thankful that their souls aren't completely erased as well. I CAN'T WAIT for the next book to release so we can really see how Naya and Adam uncover the truth about themselves, how they develop as characters, and how much of their previous lives they will remember. Well done again Olivia! You have become one of my favorite authors!!

By far my favorite sequel in a series.

This installment was refreshing and even better than the first! I loved getting to dive back into this world and see some familiar faces. I like to think that after Feather broke my heart, Celestial went and put it back together.

amazing read!

Again, wowza! 5 amazing stars for this emotional rollercoaster. I read books 1 and 2 so quickly, I am now dying for the 3rd book that doesn’t come out till December! Ughh. Anyways, if you can’t tell, I loved this book/ series, and I can’t recommend it enough. This book picks up 4 years after the first book, following Celeste, Leigh’s best friend. Celeste is about to lose her wings, her immortality, and her soul because she has given up on completing her feathers. When Seraph Asher, an unwanted blast from the past shows up, Celeste thinks nothing he says will get her to work on her wings. That is until he says the one thing that gets her to fight for her life again. Oh boy, I can’t say much more because then it gives away the first and the third book, but I will say, read this book! This book tackles all the same hypocrisies of the angel world, but with Celeste and Asher using their voices for change, it brings some hardships that could mean they lose everything.
