Casey (Leashes & Lace Book 4)

I always expect to love a Shaw Montgomery book and certainly love Casey! What I didn't expect was to see lots of myself in one like I did here. Although I'm now a senior citizen, I was very much like Casey (except female) when younger, very shy, very knowledgeable but painfully inexperienced and wishing for someone to take charge and show me the ropes sexually. Not so much Dom/sub, but teacher/student. As I read, it brought back those feelings because they were so truthfully and realistically written by Shaw. I am fascinated by excellent writers and how they can put down the words that bring out the emotions that sometimes have lain dormant for many years to the front of your life. That is truly an incredible talent! I also absofreakenlutely adored the scene where Eli takes Casey and Lane to dinner to try to loosen up Casey so they can find out if he's interested in Preston. Some other readers are calling it the Casey and Lane Drunk Scene. It is SPECTACULARLY HILARIOUS! I will caution you right now that there is a time about one-third of the way in where you will not be able to stop yourself from Laughing Out Loud so be sure you are in a space where you won't be embarrassed when reading it. Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT, try to read this scene quietly in church, or at a boring science class lecture or at the annual company stockholders meeting because you'll be unable to hold back your chuckles and guffaws along with possible holding of your sides and even rolling on the floor laughing. Don't say I didn't warn you! Thanks for this book, Shaw, and now we need the UPS guy and Tyler, OK?

I liked this one. I see a lot of myself in Casey. I'm not always confident enough to tell my master what I want. I was a virgin when we started (we're married now). In fact, for the first year of our relationship, I would go home and email him about how I felt about what we had done that day. It was easier for me to take my time and write it all down, and I could be more candid about things because I was less embarrassed.

This author never ever disappoints! Casey was painfully shy, Preston was a caretaker Dom with the patience of a saint. I wasn’t sure if this one would be a slow-burn or angsty....but I should have known Shaw would make it perfectly paced and I would love it! I don’t want to ruin the pleasure so just read it! Very, very light bdsm, sweet romance! This can definitely be read as a stand-alone but is much better if read in series order!

The Leashes and Lace series is superb and this latest addition (Casey) is wonderful. This is the story of the owner (Preston) and shy quiet Casey. Throughout the story you get to see glimpses of Casey's online blog and see him slowly with Preston help come out of his shell and into his own. During their story you get to catch up with Eli and Lane who are both Casey and Preston's friends/coworkers. Of course there is their wonderful HEA too!

This entire series follows a great cast off characters that are wonderfully developed, nuanced, and relatable. Casey's struggle to accept what he desires, and to be able to communicate those desires is vividly portrayed. I love the way the author keeps the characters true to life, and so much fun! Each story is well developed, insightful, and its own kind of kinky. This story isn't as kinky as the others, but it makes up for it in sweetness! Must read!

Fun, sweet and sexy story. Casey is really adorable in his shyness and innocence and Preston is really sweet with him. The glimpses into an evolving Casey in each chapter through his blog are as wonderful as the building of his relationship with Preston. Another great installment in the Leashes and Lace series.

Oh Casey! I couldn’t help but fall in love with the shy, easily blushing man. His desires are so clear to see. Preston and his need to take care of someone, and be there for them, was beautiful to watch. I loved the story line, as it unfolded and it was beautiful to watch all the friendships unfold.

Casey is so sweet and adorable, it’s impossible not to want to cuddle him. And Preston is exactly what he need. Love this series. Can’t wait for me.

So many series lose their oomph for me by book 4, but this just keeps delivering. I wasn't sure about the blog entries that cover the year leading up to them meeting at first, but then I really fell in love with them, such a unique idea. Well done!

I love the Leashes and Lace books, but Casey is my favorite. Preston and Casey are perfect for each other. Casey is adorably shy and Preston is his perfectly outgoing opposite. I want more!!!

Preston's story! I have been waiting and waiting for this one. I'm so happy to see him finally get his shy boy Casey. It was a great read. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I need more of this series. This was my second favorite in the series so far and I definitely recommend clicking the link at the end of the book for the bonus scene.

Casey was a shy sexy man who was as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside. His boyfriend Preston owned and distributed lingerie for men. Lots of laughter mixed with alcohol makes for a sensual rom-com. Highly recommend this book!

This was a very beautiful and sweet book. I could feel the love, patience and understanding. The character development was amazing.

l love hanging around Leashes and Lace , so another story from all my cute and sexy models makes me happy. Casey is Lane's friend, and often visits him at L&L, he is also one of the firms accountants , so he does have a legit reason to be there . He doesn't go there praying to bump in to Preston, nope, the man has him all flustered and shy unable to make eye contact. Why does Preston make him feel like he wants fall on his knees for him? But Casey adores all the pretty lingerie, and sexy nightwear, he buys them and wears them secretly, loving how they make him feel. He unburdens all of his frustrations in his blog, his readers understand him, but why are they pushing him for more ? Preston is very , very aware of Casey, the sweet boy, calls to his dominant nature, but he looks easily spooked. Deciding he needs to take his time, Preston approaches Casey slowly, not realising that this is turning his boy in to a nervous wreck. The diva that is Eli has had enough of watching them dance around each other. He has to intervene, he needs to do something so big that Preston will have to take charge. Maybe a night out with Casey and Lane is what is needed, maybe a little alcohol to loosen their inhibitions, what could go wrong, right ? Omg, one of the funniest drunken scenes l have read for a long time ensues. Drunk Casey and Lane are totally bonkers, they are so sweet and cute and sexy all at once. What will happen when Eli calls Preston for help? Will he be mad and take Casey home ? Will Preston the Dom want to punish his boy ? How will Casey react to the way the night ends ? A well written, very sweet story, that has some lovely characters. At times frustrating , but with so much humour, you will love it.

This is my favorite of the Leashes and Lace series (all of which I love very much!) for a couple of reasons. One, I've been waiting so long for Preston to find his guy! And secondly, because of Casey's journey from being too shy to even speak to most people at Leashes and Lace, to feeling confident enough to embark on a relationship and to understand and accept what he needs and be able to ask for it (even if only by nodding!). There were tiny hints of him in the earlier books in this series, but the author chose to include Casey's blog from the year prior to the beginning of the book so that we get to see more of that journey. I love Shaw Montgomery/MA Innes' shy guys--she does such a great job with them!--and Casey is another one who it's such a pleasure to see find the man who matches him just right and helps him to bloom. Also there's a scene involving alcohol and Eli, Lane, and Casey that is hilarious! And a bonus online chapter at the end that introduces a few new characters in a sweet way. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series, and I'm hoping maybe it'll be about the poor shy UPS delivery guy!

I really wanted to love this book, but it didn’t work as well for me as for other reviewers. While it was helpful to watch Casey’s growth via his blog posts, there wasn’t a similar mechanism for Preston, so it wasn’t until the end of the book that we learn why he fell for Casey—and even that seemed superficial. To me, Preston felt removed from the action, and I couldn’t get more than a surface reading of him. Yes, he’s been in all of the books in this series, but when we finally get a chance to hear his thoughts, they didn’t feel personal to me. I also hoped that his supposed Dom tendencies would be on full display, but even that seemed a bit forced. While I’m happy these two finally got together, their story didn’t resonate with me.

I really think this might be my favourite one yet!! I loved Casey right away. His shyness and insecurity was sweet and endearing. "It's very nice." Nice? The nearly naked men in the sexiest things I'd ever seen were just nice? Preston gave me a questioning look. He couldn't seem to decide what to say to that. Did he think I hated the lingerie? did he think I was insane and couldn't form real sentences? Did he think I was too shy to deal with? "I'm glad you're enjoying it." Kiss of death, he'd given me the businessman voice again. The dinner that Casey had with Lane and Eli was hilarious! Funniest scene I've read in a while.. Preston does a great job of drawing Casey out of his comfort zone and helping him to admit what he wants. This is a beautiful story with all the feels. It's full of friendship, sweetness and love, all the things we've come to expect from this author. Highly recommend!!

Casey's shyness was a little over the top and I wasn't the biggest fan of the blog thing in between everything but for the most part this was a great story. Casey and Preston had been circling each other forever. Seeing them finally come together was great. Preston is the sweetest most patient man and does a great job of gently coaxing Casey out of his shell just a little bit. I actually liked Eli in this one too. He was much more kind with Casey than he usually is. Casey and Lane drunk were hilarious! I need more of that type of stuff with these guys

This is a very sweet and funny - not to mention very sexy - story. Preston has incredible patience, and he allows Casey to get to know him and become comfortable with him for almost a year before moving beyond friendship. Casey is shy and quiet, but he figures out that he wants to submit, wear panties, and get his man. Eli and Lane are great friends to Casey and encourage him along the way. Drunk Casey and Lane are so funny! This is a fun and sexy series, with characters who are lovable and unforgettable. This book is my new favorite of the bunch!

Shaw Montgomery does it again. Shaw brings us another sweet taboo story just as we like it, never mean. Preston and Casey. Preston..Eli's business partner who is the back bone of the company, had been watching Casey the incredibly shy accountant. Casey has a huge crush on Preston. And the two of them get together in the sweetest way and it's very funny. Thanks mostly to Eli and some of the Leashes and Lace crew. And of course Shaw Montgomery!

I loved this book. The bar scene with Casey, Lane and Ely was worth 5 stars alone. It was absolutely hilarious! “But don’t tell me so I don’t get in trouble”😂. I read those chapters twice because they were so funny. Also, Preston’s quiet, protective dominance combined with Casey’s shyness was the perfect combination. You don’t want to miss this book but I recommend you read the other books in the series first, especially Ely’s book.

Finally .... Preston has a chance to get out of the office and explore his feelings for the shy, timid accountant, Casey. We find out many secrets this little sub has when he goes out for drinks with Eli and Lane. The inebriated duo of Casey and Lane makes for some of the most hilarious dialogue I’ve ever read. Preston is the perfect foil for the shy Casey. Great addition to this series.

So far, this series and the Beautiful Shame series are my favorite by this author. Such great characters. And I love that even though each series has a main theme, each story is unique. Great characters with amazing chemistry. Now to finish the Accidental Master set. Loving the pups over there. Just a great author!

I found Casey to be extremely relatable as I mydelf am crushingly shy. At least I use to be. But anyways his character really spoke to me and Predton was perfect for Casey. He was understanding and strong for Casey but never let Casey feel weak. I loved him! Great addition to the Leashes and Lace books! Can't wait for the next!

This author once again delivers another sweet and sexy read! I loved reading Casey and Preston’s story. Casey just melted my heart with his sweet shyness. Preston’s unwavering patience with waiting for Casey to be ready for their relationship and for Casey to open up to him was beautiful. I also enjoyed being able to get a peek at the rest of the Leashes & Lace family. I can’t wait to read what’s next in this series!

I absolutely LOVED this sweet, charming, engaging, grab-you-by-the-feels, sexy, poignant, adorable, fantastic, and totally awesome story. Casey was such a sweetheart, and Preston was exactly what he needed. I was hooked from beginning to end, and would recommend one clicking this marvelous gem ASAP.

I read a lot but only leave reviews for books that touch me. The scene where Eli takes out Lane and Casey is the best I have read in years. I was kayak hard I was crying and woke my husband up from a nap. I would like to thank the author for such wonderful character development!

This is such a sweet book. Casey is innocent and sweet with a naughty side. Preston is patient and loving, also with a naughty side. It was fun to watch these 2 fall in love. I enjoyed the secondary characters and loved the extra puppy play chapter.

I am a huge Shaw Montgomery fan and the Leather and Lace series is one of my favorites. I love Eli and Lane, but I have totally fallen for Casey. He is so well written, it's like you know him and need him in your life. This book is another 5 star hit!

Omg! I Loved it! I ADORE men in panties but I think Casey is my favorite! I relate to him so hard! His shy but kinky nature made it so hard to put this book down. It was also really nice to catch back up with Lane and Eli from the previous two books. I loved everything about Casey and I definitely recommend this book as well as the rest of the series.

Preston and Casey look at each other and wish for one another for a year. That's what happens when one is just the sweetest most shy guy around and the other is patient and trying not to scare the shy one. A friend manages to give a little help and that's all it takes for a wonderful beginning!
