This is a cute little book to read to a child. The story is fun to follow and the fuzzy patch is soft and helps to add visual and touch sensory to the story. This is a great book for either sex. The pages are made of like a strong cardboard so it will hold up better when the child is old enough to flip through it themselves. The pages seem to have a glossy coating to make wiping it off easy. The book is also a smaller size so it will fit into a child's hand easier.

My toddler is now 1 year old. He still brings this book to me so I can read it with him. He touches the fake fur on the rabbit a lot more than the other animal. It is pretty sturdy, but my toddler still manages to rip the whole book apart. Maybe I will use superglue or something to put it back together. A good gift for other babies.

All the pages were great! Super soft different textures. All but the last page. The Tiger’s “fur” was very thin, scratchy and seem like the grain was upside down. Still awesome book my one year old absolutely loves it! Total steal for the price

I didn’t have high expectations for this book because of how inexpensive it was, but to be honest this is the best touch and feel book that I’ve found yet! The words have a nice rhyme to them and there is even a little education in there. Also, the parts that you touch are really nice and soft. Really captures my 10 month old’s attention. I will definitely be buying this book for my friends who are having children soon.

The edges of the book were worn, revealing white instead of green. Would have given 5 if it didn't look used when I purchased new. My son loves all the animals though and it will get worn from his play anyways.

I chose this book because it is a number 1 bestseller in Children's zoo books. I am choosing to write a review because it fell flat of a touch and feel book. When I was in childcare, I loved to have these books for the toddlers I took care of. As a mom, my kids had a few different touch and feel books. Kids love them. This is a board book so it is perfect for little one's hands. The touch and feel part is lacking though. The furs feel similar to one another. The rabbit and dog fur feel the same. The gosling fur is not as full as the rabbit and dog but feels very similar. The sheep fur is how I expect it- wooly like. The tiger fur is silky and not fluffy. It reminds me of a piece of silky felt. There is not much variety in touch and feel.

Baby loves the brightly colored pages and the touch and feel portions of the page.

I read the reviews and bought it because people commented on the size. My granddaughter often sits on the floor with A board book on her lap, turning the pages - she's entertained and seems pleased that she can do it herxelf. I had a hunch that complaints about the "fur" being similar were more the adults' issue. She's not the slightest bit disappointed (?) With the fur (which is different colored/length) ...and if a toddler thought that was an actual problem, it would make me cry.

This book is small...great size for baby to manage. Nice touch & feel sections on each page although they are all some variant of fake fur. Good amount of text on each page will interest baby as they grow into toddler. For the price, a great value. Sound purchase.

Uh, just okay. For the price it’s an okay book and my toddler likes it but you would think they would give you more than one thing to “touch and feel” it’s all just some fuzzy stuff.

The bunny fur is too long and my baby tries to chew on it. Should've put an animal with shorter fur at the front so it didn't get all gross and start falling out. It is a cute book and my baby likes feeling the textures, but if your little one is at the stage where everything goes in their mouth, watch out.

I bought this book before my baby was born and have been reading this to him everyday as part of our daily reading routine. At 10 weeks, he has already learned how to open his hand so he can feel the furry textures under his palm & he starts to smile each time I bring the book to his line of vision. Love the rounded edges and the affordable ability to expose my baby to both literature and textures at such an early age!!

I was looking for a sensory book for my daughter, one with different textures for her to explore. I saw this was only $5 and looked cute. Not worth it. I'm returning it now. All but one of the textures are the same. The only sensory experience is fur. One page has a sheep that feels different, but the rest seem to all be the same. The fur is so thick on the pages, the book won't lay flat. Disappointed

I have purchased this twice for gifts for expectant mothers. The babies haven't yet arrived but the mothers loved the book as do I.

I purchased this book for my 10 month old granddaughters Easter basket. Very well made. She loved petting the animals for. I'm glad I chose this one to be her first book.

I purchased for my then 6 month old baby, and she still loves it. It has 5 pages, so I wish it had a couple more. Either way, she loves it, and it's already had lots of use! I will be purchasing more.

I was really looking forward to this book and while it is adorable, the last animal feels out of place. There is a puppy, gosling, bunny, lamb, and then it ends with a tiger cub. I feel that there were several other choices that would have been a better fit based on the majority of the animals in the book.

It's a sweet little book, but every animal is "soft" so it wasn't very diverse. I wanted to teach my toddler different textures (fuzzy, smooth, bumpy, rough, etc) but this not the book for that! However, she still loves petting all the furry animals.

This book is very well made, the touch and feel part doesn't shade like other ones I have and the pages are thick and durable. It shows five baby animals, not that many but more than enough for the short attention span of babies and toddlers. When my son was a baby he loved me to read him stories and books like this one and now that he is a toddler he just wants to run everywhere but books like this still keep his attention as in each page there is something to touch and the sentences are not too long/complicated.

I YouTube reviewed this book before purchasing this book. It's the cutest book that allows a tactile experience. I strongly suggest this book.

The kid loves the book due to being able to touch the various materials. I doubt they took fur from the actual animals, if that's what you're wondering.

I bought this book for the fun textures and my son does seem to enjoy that. But the text is kind of stupid so I just make up my own when I "read" it to him. Also, the font they pick for these books sucks (but I'm picky about fonts being legible so kids can read it too, and this one isn't great for that).

I was buying this book as a gift because I thought it was new. The picture showed a new one. The description never mentioned it was used. The problem I believe is with how Amazon has it listed. It shows 3 different formats. I chose "Boardbook from $3.71" Underneath in smaller letters, it says "13 Used from $3.71". This is the only place that mentions this is a used book. If it had been gently used, I would keep it for my grandchildren but it is roughly used and I'm not giving them a book that rough that I know they are going to chew on, not knowing where it came from and who else chewed on it.

Purchased as a gift for a 1 year old. Really sturdy and great interactive pages for littles. Our original copy is 5 years old and still a family favorite.

Got this for my niece and she loved it! It’s really cute and she loves touch & feel books.

My 9 month old daughter LOVES these books. Only problem is that whatever they use for the furry animals makes her completely break out in blotchy hives, and of course she is teething so her hands are instantly all over her face. I had to take a damp cloth with a tiny amount of soap and wipe down all the fuzz. I'm impressed the books held up to my washing. So far that seems to have helped the allergy issue.

But , there is only 4 pages or so and only a few words. Although i like the fur part, baby einsteins baby animal book is similar price but better.

This is a cute little book that can teach little ones about animals & keep their attention with the fur patches. Its compact, so it can be taken on the go, maybe in a diaper bag. The only issue is that the fake furs all feel the same, excluding the lamb.

This is the best touch and feel baby book I’ve ever seen. Usually the touch and feels have only 1 or 2 pages with a good texture and are too small of a patch. But this one has a good texture on every page and also big patches.

My youngest sister has 3 grandkids(all girls), the oldest was born on my BD 9-7 so I spend a lot of time with her(special), but I get all three when I can. I try to keep toys and books especially for bedtime or anytime reading. This was a great book because they could feel the type of animal they were seeing in the book.

Cute and simple baby book. Has rounded edges and made with dense cardboard. Has small little texture spots on animals. My baby is 10 months and has recently started reaching for this book. He did not pay any mind to it in the begining but about 2 months later he has been going through the pages and touching the small fluffy, textured areas. Its a great book to take on the road as he gets enterartained by it for about 20 minutes!

Cute little book with really nice textures inside. My kiddo loved it instantly. Only reason I took a star away is because she puts everything in her mouth and this one is starting to peel a little bit at the edges. This happened almost immediately so it's not as sturdy as some other board books but for the price it's great.

Daughter is 5.5 months and loved this book

I bought this for my son for his first birthday. He loves animals, books that you can touch and feel and bright pictures. He loves the furry/fuzzy textures so this book is really perfect since every page has a fuzzy/furry piece to touch. The only thing I wish could be improved would be to make the fuzzy/furry sections a little bit bigger since it's hard for his uncoordinated hands to find the small fuzzy/furry parts without my help. Other than that I think it's a cute kid's book and would recommend it.

Bought this for my niece, who is in the teething stage. The book has hard pages so she could chew on it if she wanted, but I didn’t like that it arrived slightly bent in the corners.

I bought this for my son to bring in his diaper bag to church. I needed more books that he could enjoy and help him sit quietly. My son is 13 months old. He likes this book but I think all the pages are very similar. Many, if not all the pages feel the same, that is all the animals are furry, so every page has some sort of fur, just different colors of fur. Very boring in my opinion. I wish they had animals with scales or something. For the price, I suppose it's not bad. It's small so it's easy to transport and easy for little hands to grab/hold.

I give this book such a low rating because I purchased this book for $5 at the same time as purchasing a My First Farm Animals book by Tiger Tales for $7, for my 13 month old. The only thing that I like about this book is the size. It's about 4x6-ish, but otherwise very boring and very poor quality fabrics for a touch a feel book. For five whole dollars. Especially not when seven dollars at tiger tales gives very quality fabrics for sensory, within the sensory is a button to learn to press for animal sound, and see several pictures and facts about the animals featured. Sorry Bright Baby!

Very cute for pre-schoolers. The kids in my class enjoyed it.

Came on time and is in good shape! Was concerned that it's so short, but then realized I'm used to long books, and she is so little that a long book is just too much to concentrate on. She likes the textures, but mostly just loves the colors and trying to eat the book. I expect in another month or so she'll be more into the feels. My only issue is the tiger feely feels a little off, but I know that's not really going to matter to the baby lol

Bought this with "On the farm" and "At the Zoo" for my granddaughter, age 6 months, and she LOVES them. Great for the youngest readers!
