I have two books now by Billy Graham, and they both are great books. If anyone need a good Christian book, this would be one of them. Quotes by Billy Graham.

I have yet to read this book cover to cover,but I've read enough of it to know that Billy Graham is the kind of humble servant we can all aspire to. The quotes are grouped by subject matter. They are short and to the point.It would make a great gift.

This massive collection of quotes is a treasure chest of wisdom and wit from one of America's most revered preachers and one of the most recognizable evangelical figures in this century. It covers topics from A to Z (Y to be exact). It touches on a wide variety of subjects, ranging from abortion to addiction; Christian living to missions; personal character and political leadership; young and old; and many more topics. All of these quotes grow out of a firm and steadfast conviction: The Bible as the authoritative Word for all of life. Thoughtfully arranged, the authors of this collection of quotes, namely Franklin Graham the son, Donna Lee Toney, a colleague of Billy Graham, have teamed up to organize many of the classic quotes culled from the great evangelist's many talks, books, writings, meetings, speeches, rallies, and lectures. Five things grabbed my attention. First, there is that reliance on the Bible as the starting point. That is why, every topic starts with a Bible passage as an anchor for the entire chapter. The quotes are then arranged more in accordance with the Bible verse rather than the title of the chapter. Second, it takes someone with a close knowledge of the man himself to quote Graham within the right context. A book of such nature cannot be easily done from a distance. So often, quotes can be taken easily out of context which risks misrepresentation. Just deciding on which material to pull the quote out from is already a huge task. Third, one cannot help but notice the conviction in each quote. Graham is ready to call a spade a spade without reservation or qualification. For example, he calls Satan point blank as a "crafty and clever camouflager." He fingers out the problem of marriages that lie in people "absorbed only in their own pleasures and desires." He warns us against pride in one of the simplest ways possible: "Pride comes from looking only at ourselves; meekness comes through looking at God." Four, Graham speaks in a manner that convicts hearts. The quotes themselves are weighty and readers will find many moments in which they have to let Graham's convictions challenge the reader: "What about you?" Five, this book alone brings together the best of Graham all in one book. It reminds us once again why Billy Graham is so renowned, respected, and revered by many people, both Christians as well as non-Christians. It is tempting for any reader to just open this book, look at the topic of interest, and then choose the first quote that grabs our attention. My advice is: slow down. Pray and ponder. Reflect and wonder on the Scripture verse at the beginning of each topic. Then slowly peruse the quotes one by one, thoughtfully, critically, and openly. I recommend this book highly for preachers and teachers to use as resource material; the busy reader for a quick meditative quote; and the Christian for building up conviction in the Word of God, and commission to share that Word with the world for God. As I read back over the quotes I highlighted, and select only the half-dozen I find most revealing, I realize that I was most inspired by Billy Graham's quiet faith in the future. Each day I've been reading a chapter from the book Billy Graham in Quotes. It's said that, outside of Paul the Apostle, Billy Graham has presented the Gospel to more people than anyone else in history. And his ministry was vast and widespread, holding crusades all over the United States and around the world for decades. Billy Graham has also penned countless books and written hundreds of articles, and countless sermons. He's almost a household name for most people, especially those in the church. With all of that history, I'm surprised that it's taken this long to gather many of his memorable and poignant statements into one volume of quotations. But it's been done at last, in

Growing up I had heard people talk about Billy Graham but I had never heard or read any of his preaching. When I was given the opportunity to review one of his books I was delighted! I was swept up in this book. I love how each of his quotes were placed in such an easy to find content. Being a mother of three the first thing I did was turn to the chapter on children.. called Billy Graham on Children. I love how each chapter started out with a bible verse (however I wish it was in KJV, which is just my preference). This chapter started with Deuteronomy 4:10 NIV - Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may.. teach them to their children. The quotes in this chapter were truly inspiring.. Here are a few of my favorites::: "Love your children - and let them know you love them. Children who experience love find it far easier to believe God loves them." "The television, Ipod, and internet have trespassed upon the innocence of American's children, while preoccupied mothers and dispassionate fathers stare aghast wondering what went wrong. They don't stop to think of their own contributions to the persuasions influencing their children. After all, where do kids as young as elementary age get money to rent rock videos and the latest rap DVDs?" - this was my favorite! "Children must be taught obedience just as much as they need to be taught to read and write." I would read Billy Graham's quotes and want to say AMEN! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Billy Graham's preaching or anyone who would like to read some wonderful quotes by a Godly man.

When I was 10 years old, I went to my first and only Billy Graham crusade in Cleveland, Ohio. I saw DC Talk climb the side of the stage and sing - which was awesome! Then, finally after all the pageantry, I saw Billy Graham speak and share the Good News of Jesus. It wasn't anything spectacular. It was simply a man sharing how good Jesus is and how much he wanted to be reconciled to us. Even as a 10 year old boy, I could see his passion and I believed his message. To write a book about Billy Graham quotes, without actually being able to hear his voice is like watching Seinfeld with subtitles and the sound off. It just doesn't carry the same impact. There were some great quotes in this book, but all in all, I was kind of disappointed in the caliber of quotes. Some that they attributed to him, I know I have seen in the books of much older saints of God - so that was a little disappointing as well. I had to remember that there were certain subjects about which Billy Graham spoke so eloquently, and just because they created a section with some of his quotes in it - does not mean that they are necessarily memorable ones. I'm grateful for Billy Graham and the impact his life has made. I hope he continues to live a great life for God's glory! This book of quotes taken directly from writings (from 1947 to 2010) of Billy Graham's is one I plan to keep close by. The pages are like a river flowing from one place to the next of wise sayings and truth filled thoughts. The book is organized with 389 topics and each gathering of quotes starts off with a relevant Scripture. One would think a big book of just quotes would be blah or boring but the heart of a man all out for God shines through. I found myself reading straight through some times as well as grabbing the book to look up specific subjects in others. This book is right on as a resource for sharing Bible drenched thoughts in correspondence, for personal use, in writing and more. This quote from page 68 on Comfort shows a glimpse of what the book holds: "We should go to no place that we would not go in His presence. But He is not with us just to judge or condemn us; He is near to comfort, protect, guide, encourage, Strengthen, cleanse and help."

I grew up in a household where both of my parents listened to Billy Graham's sermons and attended his crusades. As Billy Graham is nearing the time when he will meet his Savior, his children have been compiling much of work. This book is a compilation of Billy Graham's quotes. He spent his lifetime preaching and serving the Lord. There is a lot of material! The book has a very helpful table of contents that organizes the quotes by topic. This is particularly helpful when you are looking for something to say about a particular topic. The book contains a variety of topics including difficult and controversial ones such as abortion, addiction, lust, death and war. The book also contains helpful topics such as forgiveness, grace, strength and success. This book is not a narrative. It is a compilation of quotes. It is a thought provoking read nonetheless. It is full of wisdom and love for the Lord. I would recommend this book to women and men of all ages. I think it should be in every home right next to the Bible. I used the book just yesterday. I wanted to add a quote and verse to a card that I was sending. I was able to look up the topic in this book and read Reverend Graham's thoughts on it. I was able to choose a verse and a quote to add to my message. When I saw that the book contained the words of Billy Graham I had to read it for I have the greatest respect for him and his message. When I first got the book I was picking and choosing quotes to read and then I decided that I should start reading at the beginning and read to the end. Every quote is a nugget of wisdom and the quotes cover 107 different topics from abortion to young people. The quotes are alphabetized by subject and this makes it very easy to choose quotes to read on a certain subject. Before each section of quotes there is a Bible verse that deals with the issue that the quotes cover. It is hard to pick favorite quotes but I do have some that really spoke to me and I want to share them. ..."Fear not the future; God is already there." "We cannot inherit Christianity...God has no grandchildren." "I have read the last page of the Bible. It is all going to turn out all right." "Happy is the person who has learned the secret of being content with whatever life brings him, and has learned to rejoice in the simple and beautiful things around him." Throughout his life of preaching the gospel to millions across the world, the Reverend Billy Graham has obviously written and said quite a bit that is quite noteworthy of reading. In an effort to capture some of Graham's more salient comments on a wide range of subjects, Graham's son Franklin Graham has compiled his father's thoughts into short, pithy statements. This book is very similar in construct to other books of this type such as those created to capture statements by other well known individuals such as Abraham Lincoln for example. This is arguably not a book one would just sit down and read cover to cover. Conversely, it is more of a text designed to be read if perhaps someone is interested in what Billy Graham had to say on the issue of abortion or anger. This collection of statements demonstrates if nothing else the timeless nature not just of what Billy Graham had to say, but more importantly, the timeless truths found in Scripture which Billy Graham looked to for his own guidance. In an almost proverbial form, Franklin Graham has recorded the thoughts of his father in a manner that will definitely prove useful to many more generations of readers. For those looking for a condensed version of what Billy Graham had to say on any number of relevant topics, this is certainly an interesting read. I recommend this book as something to keep around by the bedside or to give to someone who is struggling with comprehending what Scripture might have to say on a topic. Billy Graham in Quotes by Franklin Graham with Donna Lee Toney is a book I knew I would like. I LOVE quotes, anything and everything to do with quotes. At my old job I would look up certain quotes and make "quote of the day" and "quote of the month". I like them because other people are so much better at putting a thought process into words. I love verses as well, but quotes have I have always enjoyed. That being said, I LOVE how this book is set up and organized. It's not just a bunch of quotes thrown together- thank goodness. Each quote is separated into a different topic such as: marriage, joy, abortion, peace, money, addiction, etc. There is also an index where you can look up quotes under a certain topic. Depending on the day you can flip to the topic you need and there are your quotes. One of my favorite sections is marriage. Taken from the book: "The Bible stresses that marriage ideally should be a picture or a reflection of Christ's love for His people". "Marriage is not a reform school... Instead of you reforming [your spouse], [he or she] will instead influence you". Each sections starts with a Bible verse too. "We are accountable to [God] for the way we use our time". I mean there are so many good quotes, some better than others. In any case, if you like quotes in any amount you should pick up this book. I would say that most practicing Christians have probably at least heard of the name Billy Graham. Saved by grace during a church tent revival service as a young man, Billy went on to preach the good news to millions of people. And he did it with faith, fervor, conviction and love. Billy Graham is one of my most favorite evangelists. I've listened to him all of my life and to have a book of many, many quotes of his is just marvelous. In this 400 plus page book you will get to read Billy's thoughts on all kind of subjects. They are things from abortion, Bible, church, death to suffering, truth, war, young people. Billy Graham preached for more than seventy years, so you know he has a lot of wisdom in this book. In the back of the book in the note section Franklin Graham and Donna Lee Toney put in where each quote came from and the date of that service etc... There are 107 sections in this book and each section has several quotes on each subject. It's just amazing to me that all of the wisdom you will read in this one book. On the front of the book is one of Billy Graham's quotes that is beautiful, "When the gospel of Jesus Christ is presented with authority-quoting from the very word of God- He takes that message and drives it supernaturally into the human heart." -Billy Graham Here is another quote from Billy Graham that is oh so true, "The issue of abortion is not whether you have a right to terminate the life of a child... The real issue is whether or not you will insist on running your own life according to your own standards, or whether you will instead let God run your life." This is a book that you need to keep and read and re-read again and again. I would give this book more than five stars if it were possible. I know you're not supposed to judge books by their cover, but I give those very familiar with Billy Graham to do just that with this book. Graham's classic simple approach is not always as witty or memorable as a Mark Twain, but thoroughly biblical and thoroughly Billy Graham. If you like Billy Graham and like quote books, you will like this volume that blends both. The book is organized topically with the table of contents spanning four pages, hitting topics like abortion, addiction, anxiety, the Bible, living the Christian life, marriage, world evangelism, and young people. One nice thing about this book is that every quote is footnoted; that is that the context of the quotes is documented if you want to look up when and where Billy Graham said those words. The first time I ever heard of an evangelist was when the Billy Graham crusade came to town. Nine years old, I attended a Baptist church at the time and joined the team of volunteers to go door to door and invite people to come. In the years since, I've listened to many Billy Graham sermons and even sung in the choir as an adult at one of the last crusades held. So, I was thoroughly delighted when I received a copy of the book "Billy Graham in Quotes." If there ever was a man who speaks truthfully and succinctly, it's the Reverend Billy Graham. His son, Franklin Graham (who along with Donna Lee Toney compiled the quotes) says the material spans seven decades. What a legacy to have preached for so long! It's a wonderful tribute to have a son who has amassed his father's simple statements of Biblical truth on a vast array of subjects. With the book divided alphabetically according to subject, the many topics cover everything from anger and angels to worry and worship. I highly recommend this book as resource for preachers and teachers or for anyone who wants to read a quote to ponder and meditate on throughout the day. You know, I have always loved Billy Graham. I remember as a kid going to his crusades and thinking this guy was bigger than life. I was only nine years old the first time I saw him at a crusade with my little brother who was then seven years old. We were seated with our family, and were there early to get a good seat. There was time still to explore the stadium before the crusade started. Back then, kids could do things like that and no one gave it a second thought. My brother and I decided to go where all the security guards were huddled around a doorway. Low and behold, not long after, Mr. Graham entered the stadium from that very door and I managed to gently tug on his tailcoat when, in a flash, I was whisked into the air by a security guard. My brother was picked up too, and we were given a scolding and escorted out to the main area. All eyes were on us as Mr. Graham made his exit and thousands of people saw the two mischievious children being picked up by the security guards. My grandparents said, "Oh MY, look at those kids!! Hey, wait a minute, those aren't "kids", those are OUR kids!!" Anyway, Mr. Graham never pressed charges or anything, but I have always seen him as larger than life. Unlike any other evangelist, he has been faithful, kept a Godly reputation and has been an inspiration to millions of people worldwide, unlike any other this century. He will always have my greatest respect and gratitude for reminding me of the beautiful simplicity of the Gospel. This is why it is important to read Franklin Graham's, Billy Graham in Quotes: in this day and age where slander and gossip intended to harm the reputation of God's annointed is running rampant, even by other evangelists, we must go to the source. I think it is total cowardice to be slamming a man who, in his mid-90s, has dedicated his entire life to the service of God and is now in no position to defend himself after all these years, nor should he be required to! People have accused Mr. Graham of saying he believes there many ways to God, but this is out of context and just plain, old mean. This book is important because in the pages, we have what Mr. Graham has said without enforcing our own interpretations on them. "It is not arrogance or narrow-mindedness to claim that there is only one way of salvation or that the way we follow is the right way? I think not. After all, do we fault a pilot of being narrow-minded when he follows the instrument panel while landing in a rainstorm? No, we want him to remain narrowly focused" (p.304). It is imperative we are not hurting our elderly brothers and sisters in Christ, but that we stand by them with gratitude and respect for what they have done in contributing to the cause of Christ. Each day I've been reading a chapter from the book Billy Graham in Quotes. I purchased this keepsake book from Amazon because I enjoy quoting people and inspiring others, especially on Twitter @LifeVerse and on Facebook. The first thing I noticed when I received the book is the structure and organization...I really like the chapters arranged by topic from A to Z. Since the quotes are arranged by topic and grouped together, one thought might expand on another. While gathering information for leading a bible study, I'll look in the chapter on bible study, grace, salvation, or living the Christian life. Other topics include Billy Graham quotes on grief, happiness, marriage, money and death. There are many useful reasons to own a book on quotes. It's popular to use quotes in social media, yet they can also be shared when you insert them into a greeting card in your own handwriting. Use them as a signature line on your emails or share them at a business meeting for discussion. Incorporate them into a bible study lesson or a blog article you are writing. Creative people can find inspiration for art, crafts or jewelry designs based on the thoughtful words. The possibilities are endless. I was so pleased with my book, when I saw Book Sneeze offering the same book in electronic copy I picked up a second copy for my Kindle reader. This book is great treasury trove of Billy Graham's quotes on everything from creation to abortion and much more. The material is drawn from a collection of seven decades of both Graham's personal and published works. His input is provides in brief whimsical quotes on more than a hundred topics on such things as suffering, money, loneliness, peace, addictions, anxiety, lust and all things having to do with Christianity. When it comes to voices of influence, Billy Graham being the greatest global evangelist our generation has ever seen and whose ministry throughout the years was marked by Christ-like integrity has evangelical commentary to say found in his quotes it's worth the time to be read and heard. The simplistic writing style and that the breakdown is well organized by topical category alphabetically makes this a perfect resource. This is a great book to have along as a great read and resource to recommend for any bible reader, teacher or preacher. Examples of the book sections include: anxiety, character, God's will, prayer, success, pride, encouragement, family and religion. For Book Sneeze book review, I recently read Billy Graham in Quotes by Franklin Graham with Donna Lee Toney. I have always tremendously admired Billy Graham. He is truly a "man of God", a gifted evangelist and has done much to get the word out about Jesus. It was a true honor and privilege to be able to read this book of quotes of his. The book encompasses 70 years of quotes from him on a variety of subjects, listed in the book from A to Z literally (pretty much all the alphabet is used, I don't think any "Q's", "X's" or "U's" but pretty much any other letter is used starting with Abortion through Youth). Each chapter begins the same "Billy Graham on ...." and then whatever those quotes are in reference to, i.e., "Billy Graham on Church". "Billy Graham on Jesus" etc. A specific scripture that corresponds with the chapter is listed under that. For example "Billy Graham on Joy", the Scripture under that is "The people went...to celebrate with great joy because they had heard God's words and understood them". Nehemiah 8:12. Then the chapter lists quotes from sermons and writings on that particular subject that Billy Graham preached about or said over his many years of evangelism. He is an incredibly wise man and speaks the truth in those quotes no matter what the subject was. I found myself stopping to ponder and think about a lot of the quotes and wanting to reference them in situations in the future when the need would arise, like quotes regarding grief, money, etc. His message consistently remains the same. Who Jesus is and our need for him. He doesn't minimize nor reduce the good news of Jesus and what lies ahead for those that don't accept Jesus as their Savior. This is a book I intend to read over and over again and refer to ofter. I highly recommend it. Growing up we did not have cable TV. Instead we had the standard TV with rabbit ear antennae and we got 4 channels...NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX and if we were lucky we got PBS. That was it. We didn't spend a lot of time in front of the TV either. During the day we were outside playing or at school, and at night we were playing board games or card games. However, there was about once a month a special on T.V. that we would watch. That special was an hour long talk given by Billy Graham, one of the greatest evangelists of our time. My parents would watch it eagerly and they would not want any interruptions. Growing up I remember thinking what is so special about this man? How is he any different than the average Joe? Well as I grew older I realized that the wisdom that Mr. Graham shared with his followers was Bible driven and he was not out to just make money as many evangelists are. Rather he was out to share the Gospel message with as many people as he could. I have a deep respect for Billy Graham. As a child, I remember watching him on TV, and as a young adult, I was able to see him live at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. I've read quite a bit about him and am grateful for his steadfast faith and his bold preaching of the Word of God. He is a larger-than-life figure and has made an enormous impact on the world. The book, Billy Graham in Quotes, was compiled from Mr. Graham's writings over the decades. It covers such topics as commitment and character to angels and sin. It's not the type of book that you read cover to cover, although that's how I tried to do so for the purposes of this review. It's more of a reference book, a source to draw upon when faced with a particular issue. There were many, many quotes that deeply impacted me. I appreciate his boldness and how he stands firm to biblical truth. He said many things that today would be considered politically incorrect, particularly on moral matters such as abortion and same-sex relationships. But he stands firm to his convictions, and that is what I appreciate so much about him. I also read this book in Kindle format, but I think it would be more useful and accessible as a book that is kept on a shelf or on a coffee table. It's the kind of book that you page through, not that you plow through. If you appreciate the work of Billy Graham - or even if you're just curious about him - this book comes highly recommended, with the caveats already discussed. My great-grandmother always loved Billy Graham, so when I saw Billy Graham in Quotes become available for reviewing, I was eager to read about the works of Billy Graham. I was not disappointed. Billy Graham's son, Franklin Graham said, "My father has always prayed that his words would reflect God's standard of truth as the basis to claim, 'I have given them Your word' (John 17:14). In this book, I believe you will see that he has faithfully spoken God's Word that quenches the thirst of those seeking to draw from the wellsprings of Life. It is highly meaningful to see these statements now collected in one volume." The book is conveniently divided alphabetically into categories, such as, Forgiveness, Sin, Heaven, and Angels. I was blessed reading through the plethora of quotes from the sermons, life, and books of Billy Graham. The quotes are biblically sound and a great resource for students, pastors, or parents. When I was fearful lately, I picked up this book and began to read under the "Anxiety" section. I was comforted by the truth in this book. Each day I've been reading a chapter from the book Billy Graham in Quotes. I purchased this keepsake book from Amazon because I enjoy quoting people and inspiring others, especially on Twitter @LifeVerse and on Facebook. The first thing I noticed when I received the book is the structure and organization...I really like the chapters arranged by topic from A to Z. Since the quotes are arranged by topic and grouped together, one thought might expand on another. While gathering information for leading a bible study, I'll look in the chapter on bible study, grace, salvation, or living the Christian life. Even in this era of superstar charismatic preachers, none probably is as universally well known as Billy Graham. Many have called him America's pastor due to his fame and his counsel to so many Presidents. I have always has an appreciation for him even though I could not endorse some of his theological assertions. I was able to see him live at one of his famous crusades when I was in school. And while there was much a Lutheran could scoff at, his simple presentation of the law and gospel was compelling, especially for a man of his age. So when I saw this book available to review at BookSneeze, I jumped at the opportunity. Truth is 99% of his sermons at his crusades were very similar since he viewed both his call and his crusades as specifically evangelistic. He did not seek to teach on many topics but time and time again sought to reveal man as sinner and Jesus as Savior. I hopes this book might give me a broader insight into the convictions of this man. This book is very easy to use and read. It is simply a collection of quotations on various topics. It is nice that they are footnoted as well. Even though there were many topics listed, almost all of the quotes still revolved around the basic message of sin and salvation. To me this was disappointing because I hope to learn more about his thoughts on other things. However, at the same time, I cannot help but rejoice that his focus always remained on sin and grace. If you have to get stuck on one thought, that is the one to land on. With such a tendency, he could have been confused as a Lutheran until the altar call. The quotations themselves are a good reference to have. Billy Graham did not speak in fancy language but is blessedly plain and straightforward. We could learn from this. Just parrot the scriptures and leave it there. I could see this book being helpful in preparing a sermon or speaking on a particular topic. Strikingly absent is any talk of the sacraments even as mere ordinances. Obviously, I did not expect to agree if there were quotes but the fact that nothing is said of them says a lot. I feel about this book the way I feel about the man. There is much to be lauded but it also much missing. This book could be worth owning to those looking for different ways to same the same things (which all Lutheran preachers ought to do). But as a Lutheran, you will always have to fill in the Baptist blanks.

This extraordinary book includes quotes on 107 topics from, I believe, the most well-known evangelist of our era. Nothing is off-limits. The book begins with quotes on abortion and covers other topics including creation, Satan, grief, lust, marriage, and success. This is a wonderful resource for pastors, teachers, public speakers and more. I just recently shared a quote on marriage that was in this book with a newly married couple in the greeting card we gave them. Sometimes we get a little foggy on what God really says about a subject because of world views. Other than the Bible itself, this is another source of direction from a man I believe to be a man after God's own heart. I've always loved reading anything I could about Billy Graham. Ever since my psychology teacher (my favorite teacher of all time, Mrs. Sherry Schippers!) my senior year of high school explained how she'd once been in the same room with him, and could just tell that he was a man whose greatest desire was to follow Jesus with all he had. A year or so later while attending Taylor University majoring in Christian Education, her description of him still lingered in my mind. But it wasn't just his life that interested me, but that of his wife, Ruth Bell Graham. I remember, specifically, that when they met soon after he'd transferred to Wheaton College, he simply knew as soon as their eyes met, that he was going to marry her. Likewise, Ruth was just as impressed, and could somehow tell that he was more interested in pleasing God than any other man she'd ever met. And that was the main reason I've been so transfixed by this couple. If two such people who loved God so much, who were seeking God's will for their lives, and obeying HIM were able to recognize their soul-mate with such precision--I wanted to be just like them. I prayed that I would be able to live so God-focused and obediently that when I met my future husband, I would also know. And you know what? God answered that prayer. It wasn't right away, of course. And it didn't come without a few bumps in the road from my getting a little side-tracked by life-- but when I finally woke up and turned my brain back on, broke up with my "friend-relationship" I'd been trying to make into a "dating-relationship" for about three years--I almost immediately met Jonathan (my now husband). And just like Billy Graham and Ruth Bell met and knew back in 1942--Jonathan and I met and knew in 2003. I've read plenty of books about Billy Graham and Ruth Bell Graham throughout the years, but never a book consisting of such a compilation of quotes regarding everything you could think of! I loved having all this wisdom and knowledge at my fingertip and look forward to using these quotes in the woman's ministry newsletter that I help write for my church. I have to confess that I absolutely LOVE Billy Graham. He is one of the truly great preachers of our time, and this book is living proof of that. The authors of Billy Graham in Quotes (Thomas Nelson) are stated as Franklin Graham and Donna Lee Toney, but the vast majority of it is written by Billy Graham himself - in the quotes they gathered. Each chapter is a quotation category. I reread the one titled, "Billy Graham on Young People" many times. What he said is so very true, especially that the greatest threat to young people is boredom. I wholeheartedly agree. Another great chapter of quotes is in, "Billy Graham on Addiction." Here, he talks about drugs and other addictions, but also a lot about alcohol. He says: *Drunkenness. This Greek word means overindulgence in alcohol .... It is a self-inflicted impediment that springs from "a man taking a drink, a drink taking a drink, and a drink taking the man." Distilled liquors as we have them today were unknown in Bible times. (page 5) My husband I do not drink alcohol at all, but I have friends and family who do. I don't think Mr. Graham is passing judgment on these people, but rather, he warns them against the dangers of this "drug." Billy Graham in Quotes is a great book to keep on your shelf and to refer whenever you have questions about certain issues. As always, though, Billy Graham, as great as he is, is not the final authority. Test the quotes against the Bible. I have done so with several of these quotes and find I have to agree that those particular quotes are, indeed, Biblical. I heard Billy Graham speak one time. I was about fourteen. I don't remember a word he said. (we were in a stadium and it echoed badly, that's all I can recall!) I always thought that Billy Graham told the truth about salvation but as for his stand on anything else... it must have been toeing the line because everyone, on all sides and in all faiths, tolerated him. That was a pretty harsh assessment and completely wrong. The reason for his good standing with so many must simply be the grace of God in his life because he simply spoke truth. As I read through his quotes on a plethora of subjects (abortion, the Bible, creation, greed, race, society, success, war, etc...) I was amazed at how directly he confronted the lies that have perpetrated our world. To give you a little taste: The issue [of] abortion is not whether you have a right to terminate the life of a child... The real issue is whether or not you will insist on running your own life according to your own standards, or whether you will instead let God run your life. As for the book itself, there is no doubt that it would make a lovely addition to any library. The soft cover makes it easy to handle, the sections are clearly marked with an easy-to-use index. Billy Graham, the most influential evangelist of the 20th century, gives his opinion on many topics, including: abortion, addiction, angels, anger, anxiety, children, conversion, the devil, the end times, heaven, hell, money, peace, preaching, war and many more. Each heading begins with a Scripture quotation that, in Graham's mind, has shaped his thinking about the topic at hand, followed by a half dozen or so quotations. "Billy Graham in Quotes" is an intriguing and useful resource, especially for Christian leaders and speakers. Stringing together quotations can be risk, however, as the words lose their original context, although Billy Graham is usually straightforward enough that the reader is not left wondering what he thinks (though his reasoning for his opinion, other than a Bible verse, is opaque). I was surprised that some topics were not included, such as sexuality. Perhaps that was deemed to controversial, but if that's the case, then it's a strange reasoning for a book that includes sections on hell, abortion and war. Finally, I did not like the layout of the ebook version. The "Table of Contents" was easy to navigate but the quotations were centered, which means in an ebook that they were jumbled and unattractive. I hope the publisher fixes this! Having never read any Billy Graham before, I came into this reading with hopeful expectation. I was not disappointed. Billy Graham was a man blessed by God who was not afraid to speak his mind on many sensitive topics raging from abortion and addiction to race and war. The quotes were often full of age old wisdom - truths that we all know but often deny simply so that we can continue in behaviors we should not. I was attracted to the book by its cover and the promise of a short read. The black and white photo, obviously taken fifty years or so ago reminded me of a photo of my dad from the same time. Though the book is broken into little snippets of quotes from Billy, it was not as quick a read as I thought it would be. Also, the book only left me wanting more. I understand that these are Billy Graham's words and not scripture, but I still would have liked to see a little fleshing out of some of the statements. Just a bit more from each would have satisfied me, as they were just teasers of the books that Billy Graham has already written. I suppose that to get more than just these appetizers, I'll have to buy the full course meals that are found in his other works. I think I just might have to. With 433 pages altogether, this book is great to serve as a tool to have as you experience different difficulties in life. It does not necessarily have to be read straight through. I encourage those who struggle with reading to buy this book as you can gain a lot of knowledge by reading small chapters. The book Billy Graham in Quotes is a great reference book authored by his son Franklin Graham and Donna Lee Toney. Billy Graham used the Bible as the source for his ideas and preaching, and that shows forth through the quotes which were chosen for this anthology. The quotes are organized by topic into chapters relating to one idea/theme relating to life, ranging from work to religion to the Bible to children, and etc. These quotes were taken from his writings from the 1940's to 2010. I'd classify this book as a reference book. It is very well-organized to help the reader find Graham's quotes/thoughts in a specific area of life very easily. It's not a "read it through" type of book, but rather one to refer to, whether to find a quote to illustrate a sermon or paper or just to use in an encouraging fashion. They are referenced in the back to show where each quote was taken from. I did like this book, full of countless quotes from a great Christian example. I found myself flipping back and forth to the reference section in the back to see the dates/source of different quotes. I think I would have preferred at least the date to accompany the quote, and some of the quotes left me wishing to have read them in context rather than just solo. I'd recommend this book to someone who uses little snippets (quotes) on a regular basis. It's not necessarily a book that I'd use in my day-to-day life, but I imagine others might. On "Life," Dr. Graham shares "We must learn to live triumphantly amid the traumas and pressures we face daily." (214) Concerning "The World," he advises "The world judges the Christian by his life, not by his belief." (374) The book is arranged in topical sections including "Abortion," Christianity," "Marriage," "Morals," "Sin," and many more. This makes it easy and quick to find Dr. Graham's comments on a particular subject or problem. End numbers refer the reader to a "Notes" section which lists the date and occasion of each quotation. This world can never hear enough from Billy Graham. His strong testimony has been a beacon to world leaders and corporate CEOs, as well as to millions who, for many years, have filed into large arenas and football stadiums to hear his Biblical wisdom. His ministry continues now in Billy Graham in Quotes. This is a volume fit for private meditation, sermon preparation and reference. There are over 400 pages most of which are pages filled with quotes. The point of the book is to take topics like sin, service, marriage, abortion, young people, hope, influence, faith, death, evil, the Bible, conviction, anger, war, time, speech, or the dozens others not mentioned here, and represent Billy Grahams speaking on these ideas. The book represents the 70 years of ministry that Billy Graham had. He is well known as a preacher reaching stadiums full for the God by preaching the gospel. Really he preached more than Jesus as evidenced in this book. I loved this book. A book of quotes didn't on it's own excite me much. I didn't think that there would be much more than a man's words in it. But I was very wrong. I love a few different things about the book. 1- the topical approach. As I read through each section I really got a full view of 70 years of speaking on each topic. 2- The consistency that is found in each section. 3- The powerful approach. I will admit to knowing something is wrong but thinking of that thing as a gray area. After reading a section there is a clear line in the sand. Scripture says something specific and there is nothing gray about it. 4- the way it is not a man's words as the impression left by reading this book. You really can tell that these quotes are a man explaining God's words. There is a power behind the words that is only from God and not something that man can do. This is well worth keeping on a book shelf.

I love reading quotes and for a good part of my adult life I have read quotes by Billy Graham via the Internet. I know when it comes to the Internet that sometimes people are misquoted so I was excited to find a book that was composed only of Billy Graham's quotes put together by his son Franklin Graham. The book has over 100 topics that are listed alphabetically. It covers about every topic you can think of from abortion to worship. At the beginning of each topic it begins with a key Bible verse, then the quotes on the topic follow. Some of the quotes were very familiar to me while others where knowledgeable information that every child of God knows, then there were some quotes that I would stop, read again and sit and meditate on the words of wisdom that were just shared with me. I would recommend this book as a resource. It is not the kind of book to sit down and read from front to back. Instead, I feel that it would be best read in bits and pieces. With it being categorized into topics, it makes it easy to find the area in which you are looking for, the topic that may be helpful to you at the right moment. I've always learned a lot from Billy Graham's writings. This book gives a topical approach to hundreds of short quotations from his teachings. There are quotes from his many books such as The Holy Spirit, Till Armageddon and many more. There are also quotes from Decision magazine and books by other authors containing quotes from Graham. Topics include things such as Repentance, Conscience, Addiction, Conversion and many more. There are about 107 different topics covered in this book. The quotations range from very short ones ("The central message of the Bible is Jesus Christ.") to those consisting of 6 to 8 lines. This book can serve as a devotional by just reading a topic or even just a few quotes each day. It can also be helpful when preaching a topical sermon. It also serves as a peek into Graham's longer writings. If a quote piques one's interest, the endnotes will point the reader to the source. I find I use this more for a reference - looking up a particular topic for a good quotation or to point me to Graham's works where a topic is discussed in more detail. My admiration of Billy Graham goes back to my earliest childhood. I can vividly recall the sermons and books from Billy Graham that my grandfather had on his shelf. I love quotes. I also love collections of quotations. So, when I had a chance to get BILLY GRAHAM IN QUOTES I seized my opportunity. This book does not disappoint. Franklin, Billy's son, has put together a collection of quotations that span a wide variety of subjects, and that span over 50 years. As one reads this book, one gets a sense of Mr. Graham's heart, his values, his theology, and his ministry. Furthermore, one gets a clear idea of where the best of evangelicalism has been in the 20th century, and where it might being going in the 21st century. These quotes from Billy Graham are arranged by topic. They range from the clichés of an evangelist of yesterday, to some profound insights into the human condition. No matter what the topic, the quotes are easily understood and thought-provoking. This, in my opinion, was Graham's strength: being able to preach and teach the Word of God in a way that speaks to a simple, common person, but at the same time make the intellectual occasionally stop and think about the words he was saying. Graham was the greatest Christian communicator of his generation. This collection of quotes demonstrates this. The only criticism I have of the book is that I would have liked to have seen a more exhaustive index of this collection of nearly 400 pages of quotations. The first thing I noticed when I received the book is the structure and organization...I really like the chapters arranged by topic from A to Z. Since the quotes are arranged by topic and grouped together, one thought might expand on another. While gathering information for leading a bible study, I'll look in the chapter on bible study, grace, salvation, or living the Christian life. Other topics include Billy Graham quotes on grief, happiness, marriage, money and death. There are many useful reasons to own a book on quotes. It's popular to use quotes in social media, yet they can also be shared when you insert them into a greeting card in your own handwriting. Use them as a signature line on your emails or share them at a business meeting for discussion. Incorporate them into a bible study lesson or a blog article you are writing. Billy Graham in Quotes by Franklin Graham is simply that, a large book of Billy Graham quotes. On one hand, I love this book. It is organized by subject, there are lots of quotes on each subject and each subject starts with a quote from scripture. Easy, simple and exactly what it promises to be. Now, the downside of the book, at least for me...I just don't find most of Billy Grahams quotes that inspiring. Not that any of them are wrong, necessarily, but just seeing them pulled out like this, no context, I would say a good 85% of them just fall kind of limp. I will admit that I've never listened to a Billy Graham sermon, not that I disagree with him, just that he doesn't particularly grab me like other preachers. Maybe it's a generational thing. The truths are eternal, but the presentation may vary. One thing this book did do for me, though, is help me see how special scripture really is. This book, the way it's set up, reads almost like the book of Proverbs. But the words of man fall flat where God's words are captivating. Overall, not a bad book, and it's one I'm glad I own. As a teacher, writer and speaker, I'm glad to have a resource like this that is so easy to use. And as an inspirational tome, there are definitely some gems of wisdom in there. I was pleasantly surprised by this quote book, and will use it as a reference for many years to come. One of the best things about this book is that the book is divided by topic, and is a large book of quotes. It is not your typical quote book that contains one or two quotes per page. Each page has an average of five to six quotes on it and is divided up by topic. This is particularly useful when you need teaching, encouragement, or advice about a certain topic. The topics are alphabetical and have a huge scope of topics from emotions to religion, to current issues. This book truly is so useful. When a feeling overwhelms us it is often so comforting to read a short quote of wisdom from someone such as Billy Graham. It greatly helped me understand a biblical and Godly perspective on many things. One of my favorite quote sections was the one on anxiety and worry. The practical, everyday life quotes on topics like money, marriage, and family are also invaluable. This is not a book one needs to sit down and read in one sitting, but is an awesome coffee table books that can be picked up by anyone. This book is also wonderful for the new believer or someone who has not fully committed themselves to a Christian life. Anyone can benefit from the wisdom in this book. Billy Graham has delivered the gospel message to more people face to face than anyone in history and has ministered on every continent of the world in more than 185 countries. This book is a compilation of sermon illustrations of his 60+ years of ministry. It's a reference work that can also be read as a devotion since so many of his illustrations are inspirational. You can literally open it up pick it up at any place and get something out of it. I found it extremely easy to navigate through and found myself reading it whenever I had a few minutes between projects. I didn't find it too difficult to find something inspirational I could think about throughout the day. It's broken into a wide range of subjects from (A) abortion to (Y) young people. I was disappointed that he couldn't find any subject matter that began with the letter Z (just kidding). I didn't get into every subject area, but the majority of them I found extremely useful. The ONLY thing I wish the book had was a Scripture Index in which you could match up the illustrations with specific Scripture passages. I would recommend this book for both pastor and layperson. As I read through several of these quotes I couldn't stop but wonder how timeless they are. How priceless they've become. Although several things in this Country of ours have changed since Rev. Billy Graham first started his ministry, God's Word hasn't. It remains timeless, unchanging, faithful, and true. That is why these quotes are so powerful, they are words spoked from a man that has spent a lifetime in the Bible. These quotes are evidence of that. Every book he wrote, everything he said, and every message he preached was an overflow of His relationship with Jesus. These are the type of men I want to listen to. I recently received a complimentary copy of Thomas Nelson's new book, Billy Graham in Quotes in exchange for an unbiased review. The book is edited by Franklin Graham and Donna Lee Toney. It has an attractive cover and is well laid out and easy to maneuver through. I must confess I absorbed the book and carried it from room to room reading large portions at one sitting. I would wager that this is not how the book is meant to be digested, but I took some good lessons away from it nonetheless. I see this book, which is almost 400 pages long, as a reference tool. What does the most famous preacher of our time say about angels? Sin? Christianity? War? The book gives over 100 topics in alphabetical order and each topic contains several quotes from Graham. I personally found the majority of the quotes on each topic quite generic. To me, Graham's message is very plain and not nearly as inspiring as his life. Those looking for deep theology, life-changing testimony or a biography of Graham will need to search out other sources. This book would be a good resource for those preparing church newsletters or bulletins that need a brief quote to begin an article. Overall, I give the layout and style a 4/5 stars, but the content 2/5.

I grew up seeing Billy Graham as a pillar of Christianity and biblical wisdom. I am not sure there is a man on the planet more respected when it comes to Godly Wisdom. This book takes his quotes, breaks them into categories and adds a bible verse for reference. This is not your sit down and read novel, but rather a great collection of inspiration on such topics as: Anger, Anxiety, Children, Commitment, Death, Family, Forgiveness, Grace, Heaven and Hell, Loneliness, Marriage, Patience, Prayer, Right and Wrong, Suffering, and Worry. And yes, all in alphabetical order just as I have listed them here! (Which is great for the type A in me!) For instance, I am right there with him on his thoughts about family. He is quoted as saying, "No subject is closer to my heart than the family.....The moral foundation of our country is in danger of crumbling as families break up and parents neglect their responsibilities." I often refer to the disintegration of the basic family unit as the core of our crumbling society. If there is no commitment and loyalty at home, then where will you show commitment and loyalty. And I echo his words again when he says, "When the family is destroyed, society eventually disintegrates." My ultimate favorite quote about family spoke right to the tone in our house sometimes, "More friction and tensions are caused in a family by tone of voice than for any other one reason." I am often at fault of doing this. Reading Billy's words reminded me again about thinking before I speak and how not only what I say, but how I say it can have long reaching effects on those around me. I enjoyed sitting around sharing these quotes with my husband and talking about how they fit in relation to our life and those around us. So many of Billy Graham's quotes are just good common sense advice for us to read, think about, and use in our lives. Each section is short and concise, easy to flip through and reference the topics you are interested in. This would make a great addition to any coffee table!

The book contains a lot of quotes on different topics, spanning decades of ministry of the world-renowned evangelist. Those who grew up in the era of evangelistic crusades will treasure this collection, I'm sure. For those of us (like me) whose idea of a "crusade" is a 1-hour Sunday morning worship concert, err celebration, in a super-duper-mega-church, we read this book without the lenses of nostalgia. Whatever your background, you'll find it a substantial compilation. If you ask me, the best are the sections dealing with fundamental truths of the Gospel: faith, evangelism, sin, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit. Leave the light-weight topics to Oprah (oh, you know: anxiety, worry, life, loneliness, etc.). Billy Graham In Quotes is titled quite appropriately. This book is divided into many categories/topics from Money to Addiction to Love to War. I found many of his thoughts insightful, but there were also some in there that I felt were very repetitive. I didn't necessarily agree with all that was said but I appreciated it the collection all the same. This book is definitely hard to swallow over a short amount of time. It would be much better to read a category or two a day instead of trying to complete the book as if it were a fast-paced novel. Take time to read and to reflect. This is a very nice compilation of some of the most significant quotes from Billy Graham, one of the most known evangelist of modern time. His quotes are arranged in topics for easy reference, from Abortion to Young People, covering all major areas of interest, including Children, Heaven, Hell, Marriage, Money, Salvation, and many more. As is his style, Billy Graham always goes directly to the point, not hiding any truth, talking about the Gospel of the Lord as a true believer. Some of his quotes touched me deeply, as for example one on the Commitment section, that says "commitment means burning all bridges behind you". Also, in the Family section, "Your own family circle knows whether Christ lives in you and through you". There are hundred of similar quotes and the organization of the topics was done in a superb way. This book should be part of a permanent library of any serious Christian reader. I was skeptical at first that a book filled with someone's quotes would have any form of survival in the market today. This is not a book to read from cover to cover. The book contains quotes from Billy Graham covering various subjects in life from abortion to worship, it literally contains just about any topic a person is struggling with and the reader should use the book as a tool, setting it out on their table with their favorite bible commentaries and the like because Billy Graham's biblical wisdom is very helpful. I was first led to Jesus through Billy Grahams' TV ministries as a teenager. He dared to tell the Truth as it was, not sugar coating the message of the Gospel to make it more palatable to the hearer and he uses the same approach within this book. Every household should have this book for reference, bible studies, or simply to gain better insight in the struggles and trials of life.

Let me say right off that I really like this book. Billy Graham is perhaps the best known pastor in the world and here are a bunch of his quotes on things from Evil to Heaven and Death. The quotes are categorized which makes this an easy to reference book. I think most people would benefit from having a copy on their night stand or coffee table. Billy Graham provides quotes on over 100 subjects in this book and I think it spans the period of about seven decades. I have heard my parents and grandparents talk a lot about Mr. Graham over the years, but never did I know that he could have this great of an impact on me until I read this book. This book is not only quotes from Billy but quotes taken directly out of God's book itself . This is a great read and kudos to Thomas Nelson for publishing this!

While I am young enough to know Billy Graham best through books and stories; I am old enough to remember when he was a powerhouse name. Billy Graham has always been for a concept then a reality, an idea of what a Christian should be rather then a person. Because of this I was looking forward to reading Billy Graham in Quotes, the man and his own words. Once I started looking through this book I realized that I should have had this book last year when I was in Christian undergrad school. This book offers up a lot of good sound advice, from a man of God, on topics ranging from angels, abortion, discipline, integrity, judgment, war, and prayer. The book itself is nearly 400 pages, so the alphabetical organization really helps in finding the specific topic you are looking for. Overall, I think that this book of quotations truly embodies the spirit of Billy Graham, and offers valuable insight and wisdom from a man who truly loved God. Billy Graham has no doubt been one of the most influential men of the evangelical moment. He has lead hundreds of thousands to Christ, and even though he no longer actively preaches, he still impacts people today. I personally think that you can discover a lot about a person from the words they say. It is one thing to be told "Billy Graham was a spiritual giant who knew and feared the Lord" and to read his very own thoughts throughout the decades. I really enjoyed this particular book, released by Thomas Nelson. This book has over 100 different subjects and which Billy Graham has spoken and is quoted. I never tire of being reminded of God's truth and who He is. Of course,one should always be very mindful of the source and be prepared to dig deeply in God's word yourself to assure it's the truth. I appreciated this book, as it was a look into Billy Graham's thoughts and words in light of a variety topics ranging from Abortion to Worship - it's all there in alphabetical order. Many of his thoughts are not new, but all of what was shared appeared to stem from a deep relationship with Christ and an understanding that the authority of the Bible was the source, first and foremost. In the foreword, his son, Franklin shares how his often "quoted and misquoted" father knew that everything must be held up and compared with the word of God before all else. I appreciated the layout of the book and the ease of finding quotes on particular topics. This is a nice added resource to add to any library.

If you're like me, you grew up watching the Billy Graham Crusades on television, where he preached the pure, un-altered gospel of Jesus Christ....no fluff needed, just the straight truth from God's Word. As we watched the crusades, hundreds of attendees would go forward to commit their lives to Christ. Time after time, we witnessed the true and amazing "power of the gospel" to turn hearts to Christ. When I saw this new book, Billy Graham in Quotes, compiled by his son, Franklin Graham, I was drawn by the promise of wisdom that it may hold. The book is a collection of quotes that spans the life of the man for over seven decades. They are taken directly from the man who spoke to the hearts of all who heard, from simple ordinary folk to Presidents and world leaders. With over 387 pages of quotes, broken neatly into alphabetized categories, there is sure to be something for everyone within its pages. The book is arranged topically, and covers everything from Addiction and Anger to and Thankfulness and Worship. Each section begins with a scripture reference which beautifully supports the quotes contained within. While this book is not a "page turner" like a best-selling novel, it could easily be used as reference book for daily devotions, during times of personal crisis, or when just a little word of encouragement is needed. The Introduction, written by Billy Graham, aptly begins with Psalm 19:14, "Let the words of my mouth...be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord." He encourages the reader to "refer often to the anchor verse of each subject and let God's Word challenge you, convict you, encourage you, and help you discover His abiding love to all who faithfully follow Him." That's really what this book is all about. This is definitely a book that will grace our library shelves as a family reference book for the years ahead.

Billy Graham in Quotes is a 2011 book compiled by Franklin Graham and Donna Lee Toney. It does what it says on the cover. The vast majority of these quotes are taken from Billy Graham's many books. The quotes are arranged topically: "Billy Graham on Abortion," "...on Addiction," "...on Age," America, Angels, Anger, Anxiety, and so forth, all the way down to "Billy Graham on Young People." There are about a hundred topics, with an average of three or four pages devoted to each. The quotes are centered on the page; that takes some getting used to. This book is nearly 400 pages. While this is perfectly understandable given Graham's sixty-plus years of ministry and authorship, it's unusually large for a book of this sort. But it should come as little surprise that the book can get awfully repetitive very quickly. Not that there are any bad or worthless quotes, but there's a great deal of overlap; quantity over quality, as it were. The book could have been cut by a quarter or more without any real damage being done. Graham is almost never witty or clever; his quotes are nearly always simple statements of biblical truth. This isn't a criticism by any means; it's just that he's hardly quotable in the way Ben Franklin or Mark Twain is. This has a further hampering effect on readability, particularly as many of these quotes would really have benefitted from some context. It's also hard for me to imagine much application for this book. It could be used as a topical reference for those with a comprehensive library of Graham's books, I suppose, or as good bathroom reading on its own. I affirm the vast majority of what Graham says in his quotes; I just don't see much need for this particular book. Sigh....I absolutely love this book. Billy Graham has recently become my hero (for reasons I will explain in a later post) so when I had the chance to review this book I jumped at it. I'll also fully admit that I haven't read every single little quote yet because I'm still mulling them all over. Anyway, enough about that. Billy Graham in Quotes is a unique collection of the thoughts of the most well known evangelist and pastors of our time. The authors have gleaned material from Graham's seven decades of ministry, drawing from both his published and personal works. The material is then arranged topically for easy reference, covering subjects from A - Y, abortion to young people. Each quote is footnoted so you can find the source of the quotation. A full 387 pages long this book will keep you reading and learning for days. There is nothing particularly profound about any of the quotes. They clearly reflect their author as they are straight shooting, down to earth, and easy to understand. Quotes such as, "once you have been to the foot of the cross, you will never be the same." and "God welcomes our prayers. He is much more concerned about our hearts than our eloquence." are absolutely beautiful in their simplicity. This is a book you will want for your library. I've been using it as part of my devotion time and I am loving it. Graham is a man of integrity and a man who has walked with God steadfastly though his life. He continually points to Jesus and therefore I can read this and enjoy what God can do in a single willing soul. This book of quotes is absolutely amazing! Billy Graham truly has wise words to say about almost every topic imaginable from abortion, children, marriage, sin, convictions, end times and everything in between! There are approximately 80 different topics filled with words from interviews, sermons, and personal reflection that will encourage you, sustain you, and provoke your thoughts and prayers. I did not come from a Christian home, but it was a "religious home" in some ways and I remember that anytime a Billy Graham service would come on television we would stop anything we were doing to watch him. His words gave us hope during our personal trials and his reflections on the Word of God were always timely in my life. Receiving this book to review was such a blessing, and while it was not exactly what I was expecting (I expected more quotes about or exposition on scripture), it was even better than I expected because it came from someone who heard the calling to share the gospel to the multitudes, grown in Grace and wisdom, and faithfully served the Lord for many decades. What a wonderful resource and keepsake from a man of God who has done so much to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Quotes are divided in over 100 different topics. Each topic section begins with an appropriate Bible verse (various versions). Quotes span from more than 7 decades of Billy Graham's ministry and are compiled from his published and his personal works. This book is a wonderful and unique record of Billy Graham. Some quotes were very familiar and others where not. I love how the book was arranged by topic and one can easily access Billy Grahams thoughts on a specific topic without having to file through alot of other unrelated quotes. Great for those in a pastoral position, church leadership, evangelism, or for personal study.

I have to be honest and say that this book has been a long time coming! It is such a thrill to have such amazing little "bite-sized" nuggets of wisdom and encouragement from the greatest evangelist of all time! Over 100 different topics to choose from and a half of a dozen or more quotes spoken by Billy Graham, each pulled from any number of his sermons and authored works. The biggest thing that really helps me is that I can pick up this book and pretty much every time, find something in it that really helps me put things into perspective. I could be going through a very deserted valley in my faith and find just the right thought, as expressed by Dr. Graham, or find myself on top of the world, and he will have been quoted, with scripture references, as to help me remember that God is with me and that he wants nothing but the best for me! º As great as this book is, though, Dr. Graham¡¦s publisher is in the process of releasing his latest book, so appropriately titled, ¡§Coming Home.¡¨ Though, I hope that Billy doesn¡¦t go home anytime soon, I pray that he lives well beyond 100, one can only begin to wonder the amount of incredible insight he will have to share, as he looks back on his life and ministry and what God has done in and through him. I would imagine a ¡§Billy Graham In Quotes Pt. 2¡¨ would be fitting to see hit the shelves somewhere down the road! I think I have always known about Billy Graham and his ministry. So when I saw this title, I thought it would be an interesting read, a chance to pull together so much of his insight and wisdom in one place. And it is just that. The book is a collection of Graham's quotes on a variety of subjects like Addiction, Children, Happiness, Patience and Worship. The quotes are organized by topic, making it easy to find his thoughts on any of the subjects, and making a great resource for quotes to include in a sermon. In terms of how the book is organized, I have one gripe. Each quote is footnoted, but I would have rather have had a reference directly under or following the quotes to give some context as to when it was said, to whom and where. It was difficult to get a sense of when in his ministry Graham gave these quotes, and it would have been interesting to see how his thoughts/statements on a topic changed over his decades of ministry. This may have been a quirk with the eBook version, as I think it might have been easier to flip to the footnotes in the physical copy. Despite this gripe, I would recommend the book! All in all, a great resource, just wish it had been organized and annotated a little better. As I read through several of these quotes I couldn't stop but wonder how timeless they are. How priceless they've become. Although several things in this Country of ours have changed since Rev. Billy Graham first started his ministry, God's Word hasn't. It remains timeless, unchanging, faithful, and true. That is why these quotes are so powerful, they are words spoken from a man that has spent a lifetime in the Bible. These quotes are evidence of that. Every book he wrote, everything he said, and every message he preached was an overflow of His relationship with Jesus. These are the type of men I want to listen to. Here is a list of some of my favorite Billy Graham quotes, "We do not need a new moral order; the world needs the tried moral order that God handed down at Sinai." "There are things which money cannot buy; which no music can bring; which no social position can claim; which no personal influence can assure, and which no eloquence can command." "How can you keep your min wandering when you pray? Remember what you are doing: talking to God. If you had the opportunity to talk to the president, I doubt if your mind would wander. We have the privilege of talking to someone far greater: the King of Kings." The book is absolutely packed full with great nuggets. Each day I've been reading a chapter from the book Billy Graham in Quotes. I purchased this keepsake book from Amazon because I enjoy quoting people and inspiring others, especially on Twitter @LifeVerse and on Facebook. The first thing I noticed when I received the book is the structure and organization...I really like the chapters arranged by topic from A to Z. Since the quotes are arranged by topic and grouped together, one thought might expand on another. While gathering information for leading a bible study, I'll look in the chapter on bible study, grace, salvation, or living the Christian life. Other topics include Billy Graham quotes on grief, happiness, marriage, money and death. There are many useful reasons to own a book on quotes. It's popular to use quotes in social media, yet they can also be shared when you insert them into a greeting card in your own handwriting. Use them as a signature line on your emails or share them at a business meeting for discussion. Incorporate them into a bible study lesson or a blog article you are writing. Creative people can find inspiration for art, crafts or jewelry designs based on the thoughtful words. The possibilities are endless. I was so pleased with my book, when I saw Book Sneeze offering the same book in electronic copy I picked up a second copy for my Kindle reader. Billy Graham in Quotes by Franklin Graham with Donna Lee Toney is an impressive volume, yet with an approachable touch for daily life. The quotes from Rev. Graham march by in alphabetically ordered topics ranging from abortion, addiction, age and America, to worry, worship and young people, over 100 topics in all. Readers could use this book as a reference tool or to top off their devotional reading. The foreward by Franklin Graham lays a tone of respect and authority for God's Word as the foundation of these quotes, not the celebrity of his father, Billy Graham. The introduction, written by Billy Graham himself, dated November, 2010, reiterates the authority of Scripture with his own inimitable voice and passion. Chapters range in length from 2-12 pages, with "Billy Graham on Christianity" as the longest. Most of the chapters are 2-3 pages, and they are comprised solely of footnoted quotes. A 40-page appendix traces the citations. The chapter titles are a bit of overkill for me; "Billy Graham on _____" for every chapter seems unnecessary in a book with his name on the cover. This book surprised me. I expected something along the lines of a light gift book for fans and laity. However, with it's tremendous volume, organization and citations, it becomes a valuable reference not only for pastors and writers looking for quotes, but also for anyone looking for the approachable, godly wisdom of a man who won the hearts of millions for Christ. I was anxious to pick up a copy of the new book, "Billy Graham in Quotes" written by Franklin Graham. This book is exactly what it sounds like. It is a list of the famous Billy Graham quotes that have been said throughout the course of his life. A handy trait about this book is it is divided into different headings. For example, page three hundred and three is "Billy Graham on Salvation." When you turn to this page, you will see all the many popular quotes Billy Graham has made on salvation over the course of his life. You can go to page two hundred and five and see what Billy Graham has said about judgment. Each new section of quotes starts with Scripture and then begins with a bunch of the popular quotes of Mr. Graham. Example -------Billy Graham on Eternity p 125---------- Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. 1 Peter 1:23 "Life is just a schoolroom with a glorious opportunity to prepare us for eternity." "Most people are living for today with barely a thought of eternity." "What you do with Christ here and now decides where you shall spend eternity." You get the picture. It is a very simple layout of the book, but it works quite well. There are tons of quotes listed in this book, and some of these would serve as a great illustration for pastors (such as myself) looking for a final word at the end of the message. Where does one start? If you've read or have heard Dr. Graham before you know the way he has with words. This book highlight, perhaps, the best of what Dr. Graham has had to say in his long life as an evangelist. In the book, Dr. Graham is quoted on a wide variety of topics such as: Sin, Salvation, the world, Jesus, young people, family, evil, money, and a whole lot more! What you read is straight-from-the-heart, no-holds-barred, and uncompromising. Billy says what he means, means what he says for sure. To quote: "If we are at peace with this world, it may be because we have sold out to it and compromised with it." - From the chapter Billy Graham on compromise. My only complaint, if you could even call it that, is the structure of the book itself. More to the point, how the chapters are ordered. Perhaps I've ready way to many Christian books, but it is odd to find Jesus in the middle of the book, rather than at the end. Or maybe not! One thing is for sure, I can say this isn't a book you would regret taking the time to read. It will both inspire and challenge you, for which you will be all the more better because of it. Topics are alphabetical from Abortion to Young People- this book touches on more topics then I could possibly dream up myself. This is a very good collection, and a great coffee-table book! Dr. Billy Graham has written countless books and spoken to billions of people, sharing the Gospel. Billy Graham in Quotes is like an all-star game. The best of the best. I feel if everyone would study this book that we would have a much better society. I appreciate Dr. Graham's ministry and that he is still involved in ministry at his age and with his health issues. I feel that the book would have been better with KJV references, I am saddened that we seem to have drifted away from using this text that has lasted for 400 years. I appreciate all the effort that it took to compile and document the quotes from his sermons and books. Much wisdom can be gained through the study of this book!

This is my first time reading a book by Rev. Billy Graham. This book is a thick book of 387 pages of quotes, divided into different topics. When reading a specific title, for example on "time"....I can just read a quote and think about it. I feel like through this quotes, which have their base on the scripture, God's words are spoken. And thru reading a quote, I can get convicted and pray over whatever thoughts I have from reading it. For example, Billy Graham's quote "Life is short; none of us knows how long we have. Live each day as if it were your last - for someday it will be." convicted me on my use of time to really embrace relationships, do what matters for eternity and to live each day to the fullest. Another quote "Only God Himself fully appreciates the influence of a Christian mother in the molding of character in her children" on Parents encourages me whenever I feel like it is too hard to teach or discipline my kid. A quote of prayer "Prayer is more than a plea, it is a place where we must spend time if we are to learn its power." is an encouragement for me to keep on praying, to spend my precious time on to be able to learn its power. Reading a quote or two may not replace reading the bible or listening to a sermon but it can be a simple reminder on a specific topic or an encouragement on a card. There is so much that I appreciate about the life and ministry of Billy Graham that I was eager to review this compilation of quotes gathered by his son and arranged topically in this anthology work suitable for ones personal library or for a gift. The softcover binding is simple yet attractive and the chapters or topics are easily perused or searched through. In reading this volume which I received as a review copy, I found many of the quotes to be engaging and true, liking this one in particular: No situation is beyond God's control. Over my wife's desk are these words: "Fear not the future; God is already there." In his work as an evangelist and preacher, Dr. Billy Graham sough to bring the wisdom of God's word to daily life. It has the power to put a smile on your face and set your day in the right direction. It also has the power to make you reflect and open your eyes. Billy Graham in Quotes is a great book filled with quotes. This book was put together by his son Franklin Graham and colleague Donna Lee Toney. This book is filled with quotes from all sorts of subjects. Which include stress, heaven, happiness, love, addiction, age, anger, and etc. Whatever you are going through you will find a quote. My favorite quote so far is in the chapter of happiness: "Some people spend so much time worrying about what might happen that they never enjoy what is happening (now)... Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday." So if you are looking for some christian quotes. I suggest you check out this book. I had never read anything by Billy Graham so I was looking forward to reading a compilation of his quotes. It's organized really well so you can read it cover to cover or just read the sections that are applicable to you. There is a Bible verse to go with the theme and then pages of quotes on the subject by Mr. Graham. I felt as though I was in a church listening to sermons by Graham as I read through the book. It was very inspirational, enjoyable to read and I took notes throughout the book. A great addition to my personal library and I think it'll be a good reference to go back to in the future.

When I saw the offering of this book I was excited. As a Christian man who grew up in some of the most popular televised crusades of Billy Graham's career, this book is pretty much made for a man like me. I am in full time ministry and often find myself wanting the insight of men of God from days gone by. I enjoy quotes from Spurgeon, A.W. Pink, C.S. Lewis, and many more preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The book is well organized with Billy Graham's thoughts and insights on dozens of topics. I especially enjoyed the quotes regarding evangelism, Jesus Christ, and others that mix Scripture with the experience of years walking with and serving the Lord. As I have grown in my knowledge of God's Word and become an evangelist myself, called by God's grace to equip others in sharing the Gospel, I have found that Mr. Graham and I do not agree on all issues. Nonetheless, this book is packed with wisdom from God's Word and you can never go wrong with that. This book would make a great addition to your nightstand, and could be a good reference for many occasions. I highly recommend it and would welcome additional editions of this book and others like it. I have enjoyed reading some of Billy Graham's books over the years and so I was looking forward to reading a compilation of quotes from him. Billy Graham in Quotes By Franklin Graham is a collection of excellent quotes from one of the best known American pastors from the past fifty or sixty years. This book covers everything from his views on abortion, America, the Church, the Cross, the End Times, Heaven, loneliness, grief, race, sin, truth, and the Word of God. There are quotes from him on just about any topic you can think of in this book, and I highly recommend it. It really is a great read. I would note that this book is probably better as a reference for looking up words of wisdom about a certain subject rather than a book that you would sit down to read all of it at one time. Here are some of my favorite quotes from the book: "We have so many battles going on in America today that we should be a people of prayer. Our government needs prayer. Our leaders need prayer. Our schools need prayer. Our youth need prayers. Our families need prayer." "Historians will probably call our era 'the age of anxiety'. You really can't go wrong with a book of quotes from Billy Graham. As one of the most highly respected individuals in the Christian world, Graham has shared an amazing wealth of knowledge and wisdom with the world when it comes to Christian living. I can't imagine how difficult it had to have been to compile this book of quotes from the vast amount of work Graham has been a part of. The book is divided into many chapters, alphabetically, ranging from angels and anxiety, loneliness and love and worry and worship. Almost any topic you can think of is covered somewhere among the pages of this book. I loved the range of material covered and I also love that each section is introduced with a Bible verse which is a reminder of where the ultimate truth comes from. Billy Graham has preached a lot of sermons, of that there is no doubt. God has truly blessed this mighty warrior of the Word, and this book of quotations from his years of sermons and speeches shows it. Franklin Graham has done a wonderful job of researching the years and years of words that has come from his father's legacy of ministry, and has put together a wonderful collection of quotes that serve to lift and encourage, but also share the truth of the Gospel. I would fully recommend this reference to any who are fans of the great Billy Graham, and to those who need doses of scriptural truth injected into their hearts.

"Billy Graham in Quotes," a good reference book for all you Billy Graham fans. I have never read much of his material, so would not fit into this category. However, for you not so great Billy Graham fans, I did think that some of the quotes were rather self-explanatory and that they did push it a bit, and use lots of quotes saying the same thing. However, I did mark a few quotes here and there which I did find particularly helpful. But, with 387 pages full of quotes you'd hope that there would be a few that you might find helpful. Some quotes I did find to be a bit pointless, like they were there to fill up space and didn't really say much. Since it is divided into topical sections, I would love it when looking for advice on a particular topic, and it covers practically every topic under the sun. I read this book the whole way through, cover to cover, and did find it a little dry in places, but that is partly my fault, because I don't think that it is designed to be a book read cover to cover. It is designed as a reference book, and if you don't read the book in the right way, sometimes it is a little hard to get something out of it.

This book is exactly how I expected it to be - a bunch of topics and quotes from Billy Graham (most specifically his books). It was enjoyable to see so many and such vast topics. Various topics would have an air of such grace and mercy and others had deep conviction to them. All of the quotes that I read seemed to have great Biblical truths to them and you can tell that much depth has been dug through these words. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I am going to use this as a good reference guide for quotes from Billy Graham in my writings. Where I grew up, Winona Lake is just a few miles away. I think almost everyone in our area has visited the Billy Sunday home and where also Reverand Billy Graham got his start. So, I was excited to get my hands on this gem of a book. With over one hundred topics touched upon, and over four hundred pages, Billy Graham in Quotes is a good guideline for strengthening christian values and life in general. The book is easy to read, and I really like the likeness of the Reverend on the cover. This would be a great resource for personal use, reference or for teaching in Sunday School.

My first impression of this book after looking it over was, wow, it really is just quotes. After the introduction everything you read is categorized by subject and it is from a direct quote from Billy Graham either through speaking or written from his books. I really enjoyed reading the quotes, which kind of surprised me, I mean, it's a book of quotes. You would think it would get boring after a while, but each subject listed was timely and relevant. I also liked the book of quotes because I like to write and I use inspirational quotes in writing quite often. And this book is full of inspirational quotes and truths from Billy Graham, and he uses scripture to back up what he is talking about. The only thing I would have changed about the book would be to have some small paragraph or two at the beginning of each subject chapter just to break up the monotony of reading quotes. This book does make me want to read other books by Billy Graham. This book leaves you with wanting more. And maybe that was the point!

As a young person, there is something so admirable, so honorable to me such as the life of Reverend Billy Graham. Very few examples of life long devotion exist. At least, very few who have not fallen from the grace they preach. While Reverend Graham would probably suggest that he is the first to know of all of his fallings - the beauty is - he is also first to know of Grace, Freedom, and forgiveness. This is not true because of his "fame." This is not true because he is a household name. It is true because he knows Jesus. He knows Jesus. And that beautiful intimacy is revealed in his life, his words, and his teachings. The depth of knowledge and history of this book is amazing! Every issues from race,children, bible, America. It's all in this great collection. It even lists where the quotes come from. Simply a great book to own.

I chose those this book in particular because as soon as I saw it, I knew my mother would love it. And let me tell you, she is going to have plenty of Billy Graham snippets to read! I thought this would be more of a booklet, one of those cutsie little bedside table things that are a dime a dozen, designed for a little warm, fuzzy that tops off a gift set or something as such. Not this one. This is a hardback, thick and full of whole passages of Graham's heart poured out on all sorts of matters. He speaks hope and encouragement, so you definitely get your warm fuzzies. But Graham also speaks it real, keeping things in perspective. Graham has written many books, and this one might be one that either sends you running for more, or it might be enough to get your fill. Either way, it's A LOT of Billy Graham. It's a good pick-up,put-down sort of book, one that I think I would most likely only get...for my mother, who will like it.

Excellent book!

This was a really delightful book full of little treasures! I really enjoyed reading the quotes from this wise and admirable man, I dont think there will be another guy like him for a long time....especially with the downhill slope of America and Christianity in general. I really hope that his quotes will impact people and help them see Christ and their surroundings more clearly. His perspectives are truly beautiful, and I believe that comes out of spending more and more time with God. Let's learn from this faithful man, and learn to be more focused on Christ instead of on how our life "looks" to ourselves and to others. Appearances are not everything, and even if you can fool yourself and everyone else, you cannot fool God.

Billy Graham is timeless! His passion for people and the gospel is stirring no matter what denomination you claim. If you are a christian he most likely has impacted your life in more ways than you know. This book was produced in a topological fashion and is by far one of the best compilations of quotes by ANY Christian Evangelical. It is very easy to use even as a reference for getting a quote for a sermon because of the organization of the book. The book is very comprehensive and inspirational with a quote for almost any situation in your life. It is a great coffee table book for people to pick up and read quickly as well. Billy Graham in Quotes is a wonderful book full of quotes from Billy Graham, compiled by his son Franklin and publisher Donna Lee Toney. This book is broken into different topic sections which vary. Addiction, Bible, character, marriage, family, commitment, life, and religion are only a few of the many topics covered in quotes from this 433 page resource. I love this book, though it might not be in my top 10. What made this book difficult to enjoy fully was the nature of its purpose. This book isn't necessarily ideal for "life changing" reading, but it was fascinating to see into the beliefs and statements of Billy Graham. One of my favorite quotes from this book was simple but profound, "Our lives speak loudly to those around us, especially the children in our home."

The title Billy Graham in Quotes is a complete description of this book. Broken down into multiple section of varying topics, all of which relate back to Jesus the Christ and God, serves as a compilation of touching and inspirational quotes that were developed and shared during the life of Billy Graham. With each turn of the page, you are introduced to incredibly insightful quotes that allow you the opportunity to expand upon your faith. I found it to be incredibly helpful that the quotes were divided into appropriate sections; this allowed me to search for different questions much more easily. If you want to look back and reflect upon one of your favorite Graham quotes, all you need to do is find the appropriate section. Although the book is filled with truly inspiring words, I would not recommend reading this book in its entirety during one sitting. Doing so causes you to miss quotes that would have meant something to you, and does not allow you sufficient time to reflect upon them and apply them to your own life. I would highly suggest that if you were to read this book, that you do so over time. I received a copy of this book "Billy Graham in Quotes" by Franklin Graham and was really impressed with this book. I hold Billy Graham to a higher standard than other pastors, mainly because I have heard him my whole life, and was really impressed by this book. I have used this book mainly as a reference guide, due to the fact that it's really hard for me to sit down and read just quotes on different subjects over and over again. This book covers almost every topic you can think of from money to love to marriage to kids. I would definitely recommend this book over again to anyone that needs a reference guide for many different subjects. I am giving this book a 5 out of 5 star rating.

This is a wonderful book. It's not one to sit and read through in one sitting (although I found myself flipping from topic to topic and reading for quite a while!) but is an excellent resource. Quotes are organized by topic and the topics are presented alphabetically. Each quote is footnoted and a detailed section at the back of the book identifies the work from which each quote is taken. This would be a great addition to any bookshelf.

Billy Graham in quotes you say? I will read almost anything by/about Billy Graham or his wife. To have him in quotes is very handy. The book is formatted in a very organized fashion. These quotes are nicely put under categories for easy reference. You could look up a number of topics to read what Mr. Graham thought. Gleaning from his knowledge of the Bible, his life experience and heart for people was inspiring, convicting and good reminders. This was a book I would read a bit here and there, letting his words sink in. It is a perfect coffee table book or bedside table for quick reference. The cover is handsomely done as well.

Billy's quotes help you really think about God's word and put it into everyday living. The print and layout of every page makes it easy to read and also easy to use as a resource guide. This book is a great read for the saved as well as the unsaved. It can be a great witnessing tool. It reads like a devotional, so it doesn't take long to read if you aren't an avid reader. I appreciate Billy Graham's heartfelt, simple messages that help you think through life's circumstances. 'I would highly recommend this book for others to read!

I had the privilege of reading Bill Graham in Quotes penned by Franklin Graham and Donna Lee Toney. This book was beautifully written. It is the perfect daily dose of Christianity and inspiration. The simplistic writing style and wonderful breakdown by category makes it the perfect companion to your bible. If you are a Christian person I am guessing (like me) this book will be living on your night stand next to your bible. It would also make for a beautiful gift for a loved one. I plan to purchase this book for a couple of people in my life who I know would also be equally inspired.

I had the amazing privilege as a young high schooler to see one of my role models Billy Graham in person at one of his crusade events in Jacksonville. The year was 2000 and the event was held at what is now known as EverBank Arena. It was packed to capacity. The choir was massive. The atmosphere spiritual. But we were there not to hear a man, but to worship God. I will never forget that evening. And there was no denying the man with the most enthusiasm in the arena was Billy. I have been intrigued by Billy's leadership since I first heard about him as a child from my parents. He has been a role model of mine ever since. Billy Graham in Quotes by Franklin Graham with Donna Lee Toney is a wonderful book. Reading quotes are, in my opinion, tiny insights into the authors mind. One gets the sense that Mr. Graham was on a much higher level or understanding than a lot of us. This was an ejoyable read.

Over the many years, Billy Graham has written some wonderful books. Billy Graham in Quotes By Franklin Graham is a collection of quotes on various subjects like Abortion, the Bible, Anxiety, Church, Comfort, Death, Grace, Faith etc. It is a great book to have, and actually gave me a lot of encouragment.

This is a great resource for writers. The quotes are categorized very well and makes it for easy access when writing or speaking and you need a good quote. I have also found this book to be beneficial when just wanting to read.

Was skeptical about a book of quotes. Not sure it would be somethng I would enjoy. Not only did I enjoy it I also learned from it. Book has been very beneficial to my Christian walk. The book covers topics from greed to persecution and so on. Topics are arranged in alphabetical order. Some many quotes to live by in this book. The book was a study in itself and challenged me in different areas of my life. Highly recomend as both an enjoyable and educational read.

I'm 71 years old, I wish I had purchased this book twenty years ago so I could remember everything I read in the book

Each day I've been reading a chapter from the book Billy Graham in Quotes. I purchased this keepsake book from Amazon because I enjoy quoting people and inspiring others, especially on Twitter @LifeVerse and on Facebook. The first thing I noticed when I received the book is the structure and organization...I really like the chapters arranged by topic from A to Z. Since the quotes are arranged by topic and grouped together, one thought might expand on another. While gathering information for leading a bible study, I'll look in the chapter on bible study, grace, salvation, or living the Christian life. Other topics include Billy Graham quotes on grief, happiness, marriage, money and death. There are many useful reasons to own a book on quotes. It's popular to use quotes in social media, yet they can also be shared when you insert them into a greeting card in your own handwriting. Use them as a signature line on your emails or share them at a business meeting for discussion. Incorporate them into a bible study lesson or a blog article you are writing. Creative people can find inspiration for art, crafts or jewelry designs based on the thoughtful words. The possibilities are endless. I was so pleased with my book, when I saw Book Sneeze offering the same book in electronic copy I picked up a second copy for my Kindle reader. Now I can copy and past the quote into an article, instead of typing out the words and possibly making a mistake. Since I own two copies you can assume that I really enjoyed this book! Billy Graham in quotes you say? I haven't read much about or by Billy Graham, honestly. But, to have him in quotes is very handy. The book is formatted in a very organized fashion. These quotes are nicely put under categories for easy reference to each speaking engagement or text they were drawn from. Even if I do not agree with some crusade type evangelism techniques or theologically him on every issue, some of which I reaffirmed our variances in theology during this overview. We could not in good faith say that Graham was anything but a man of God who has cared for lost and dying souls. God has certainly used him to His Glory with Graham's life that is not over yet and with this book! I recommend it for pastors reference, a nice discussion book or a go to book to get one of the world's greats perspective.
