I was so confident I'd love this book that I preordered an entire stack nearly 6 months before it released to share with mom friends. I'm so glad I did! This book is actually very good. Mostly because it’s scripture and you can’t go wrong with scripture! It’s very encouraging for moms (or anyone really) in all stages of life. This little book packs a nice Biblical punch. If you have a Christian sister who is struggling this is an excellent little gift. I barely flipped through mine and bought one to share. The scriptures were so prayerfully chosen and provide such comfort when you’re in need.

Over the past 11 years of homeschooling, I have become fairly familiar with many of the homeschooling speakers and their writings. I discovered Heidi St. John, The Busy Mom, back when I was only a couple of years into my homeschool journey. Amazing tool! This small book can fit in your back pocket. It may be small but it’s filled with quick go-to truths and verses to help keep mamas thoughts on Christ! Highly recommend!!

The book itself is very pretty. It’s very appealing. Amazon suggested this to me and the reviews were all positive so I was thrilled to give it a read- I even ordered extra anticipating to give some away as gifts. I was sadly mistaken once I began actually reading this book. I consider myself a modern Christian woman. I was so looking forward to something spiritually uplifting that I could read as I started my journey of motherhood... yikes was I wrong about ordering this. If you’re the least bit enlightened, educated and believe in equality then this book is not for you. Instead I found it to promote a more archaic and dangerous agenda of misogyny, homophobia and sexism. Just not good. If that’s in your wheelhouse then this might be for you, but if you consider yourself a more modern Christian then this will likely make you uncomfortable.

I was so confident I'd love this book that I preordered an entire stack nearly 6 months before it released to share with mom friends. I'm so glad I did! I love how the promises are arranged by topic, easily accessible for the mom short on time, discouraged, or overwhelmed! So convenient to turn to the topic and find just the right Scripture! It may be small in size, but it's mighty in power.

I purchased this book from Amazon to read with my sister Rhonda Wolf. All opinions are my own. Bible Promises For Moms by Heidi St John. Last summer we did the Bible Study Mom Strong and I recommend every mom read it no matter what stage of motherhood you are in I promise it will apply to you. This little pocket book is filled with prayers for those moments when as a Mom you just need to hear what God is trying to say to you. It is alphabetized by subject and an easy reference to place a prayer exactly when and where you need to hear or say it. Sometimes life is overwhelming and patience isn't a virtue you reach alone. Take ten minutes and ask for help it makes all the difference in the world. This book is a wonderful reminder that God is in the corner of Moms every step of the way through motherhood, even when it seems to hard to handle.

I bought this book originally for myself, I started reading it and I really enjoyed it and loved it. I ended up sharing it with a friend and she loved it. So I ended up buying six more copies of this book to give out at Christmas time as little stocking stuffers. Basically it has A index with different topics. Such as, adoption, Communication, etc. And then as you read those sections it has quotes from the Bible that pertain to that certain circumstance... I actually found this to be a really useful tool in my Bible study Group. We were able to discuss topics and open up to those different chapters in the Bible and really get into depth with it.

First and foremost I absolutely love Heidi St. John. She is a truth teller and a Jesus follower and her MomStrong ministry is amazing. When I saw that she had this book i knew I had to get it to share with my sister. I looked it over before adding it to a gift basket and I was blown away with how inviting it was to read. Most books can feel intimidating where it ends up just collecting dust on a shelf. She has it well organized by topics and she gives intros to each topic. I definitely recommend this book of promises and the price is awesome for what you get! I pray that she continues to stand firm in the faith and continues to bless others with other books that she authors. Thank you Heidi St. John!

Three words: I love it! When I got this book, I read it right away, not to think I’m already on half of the book. It’s amazing how touched I am in every pieces of it.
