Bead Play with Fringe: Techniques, Design and Projects

This is a very good collection of tasseling/fringe ideas. It is nice to have all of these techniques in one place. This is especially useful for the creative beader looking for finishing ideas all in one place. The book is divided into sections of each specific technique, which also make it easy to maneuver. The written instructions and graphed pattern examples seem very easy to follow and well written, although the photography is a bit blurry and lacking in detail (paper does not have a glossy finish, instead, a matte finish). This could make it difficult for the visual beader who is use to counting beads in a photograph, or using the photograph as reference in completing patterns. Personally, I really like this book, and enjoy it as a great complete reference reminder of tassel and fringe techniques.

I have been creating beadwork and fringe for several years but I wanted Jamie's book as her previous writing has always included new and thoughtful information on how to do great beadwork. This book is no exception! I wasn't expecting it to contain projects, but they are there as well; all well organized, with great detail. A book, once again, that should be in every beader's personal library. Yes, you want to add fringe to your latest project, but before you decide on its look, browse Jamie's book and it will lead you to the best possible choice to add significantly to your design. Well done again Jamie!

All Jamie's books are fab, but his book is up there with her Dimensional B.E. book (my personal favorite). I can already tell I'll be using this book often for inspiration and instruction. I was concerned with how few pages were in the book when I ordered it. No worries! It's PACKED full of various fringes to choose from. Jamie has covered some of the fringes in other books, but this book has it all put together in depth along with other fringes not found in her other books. Definitely a *MUST HAVE* for your beading library!

I have Jamie Cloud Eakin's loom book, so I decided to buy her beaded fringe book, because I love fringe. This book is very informative and well laid out. Lots of colorful projects and ideas.

This is a very informative book but I purchased the kindle version and I do believe the print would have been much better! The kindle version has very tiny illustrations and are hard to see details.

I love her approach to things.

Wonderful as her previous books are. Lots of information on balance, color, design, which has given me a lot of information that I needed to finish my pieces.

Jamie's sense of color and style can only be outdone by her prodigious imagination and skill. Her books are a plethora of ideas and examples. Not too heavy on projects - which I really appreciate - she would rather teach you the technique(s) and have you run with them into your own world of creativity. I have all of her books and will probably buy every one she ever writes since there is no end to how much can be learned from this talented artist.

This talented author is always full of creative ideas and presents them so well. Many of the ideas were already in my repertoire, but she gives them new oomph and style. I have her earlier books and will look for her next one too.

Wonderful book on fringe techniques. Very clear instructions/pictures on how to do various fringes. A must have for beaders or anyone who loves fringe.

Well written and easy to follow directions for all kinds of fringe. This book belongs on every bead artist's bookshelf - not just those who do bead embroidery.

Awful cover but don't let that fool you, the techniques are great!

The book is well written and has lots of detailed drawings and pictures. This is the second book I bought by this artist.

Can't go wrong with Jamie! I have all her books in paper, which is a real treasure.

If I could give this book 10 stars I would. I am jaded about beading books, I have many that just did not show me much. This book on opening the cover I found three new stitches right off the bat and instructions that I could learn in minutes. The projects are beautiful also. This book is a must even for more advanced beaders.
