Art Page-A-Day Gallery Calendar 2021

This is my favorite calendar for several years now. Every day (weekends share 1 page) there is new art: watercolor, oil, acrylic paintings; sculptures; vases; pottery and fine china; woven rugs; even poster art. Artworks ranging from modern/contemporary thru medieval and back to the BC times are included. Holidays and seasons are appropriately represented - not just random selections for each day. European and No American artwork seems to be generally favored, but over the years I've noticed more and more Asian and Eastern European (Russian primarily) artwork included. Overall, top museum quality art is represented. You'll see obscure art by well known artists as well as standard favorites everyone will recognize and some beauties from less widely known artists. An excellent array that I look forward to seeing every day. Now that museums are closed during the pandemic, having fine art, changing daily! is a welcome sight. Well worth the "price of admission". Great value, highly recommend!

I'm no dandy, but A new piece of art each day Makes me feel like one I am not a real student of art, but to be exposed to one new painting (or drawing, photograph, or sculpture) a day is fun and educational. I really look at them, up close, taking in all the details. It is a little bit of high-brow in my decidedly low-brow life. The quality of the calendar is exceptional - the paper, the colors, the page size. I have even kept my favorites for framing. Every so often, however, two of my favorites are the front and back of the same page & I must then make the hardest of choices. Oh, the humanity.

I ❤️ this calendar. I've bought this art calendar every year for at least 6 years. The artwork changes from year to year. Each day is on a heavy card with the title of the artwork, the artist, where it is located.

This is my third or 4th year in a row of buying one of these calendars, and I love it so much. I keep mine on my bathroom counter, and yes I do change the picture out every day. I enjoy the variety of art, and the quality is really great. With my used calendars, I opt to put them in other areas around the house and rotate the pictures even though the days of the week don't line up perfectly from year to year.

I am satisfied with it but it cannot be used as materials for journals since there are art printed on both side.

This is the best one-a-day calendar I have ever used. I bought it the last 2 years and look forward to the 2021 version. The stand is very sturdy. The photos are large and printed on high quality paper.

I’ve discovered that I update this desk calendar daily as long as I keep it on the kitchen table where we eat breakfast as a family. Every morning when we sit down to eat with our 2 and 5 year olds, we change the page and discuss what we see. The works of art are almost always stunning or at least interesting. Captions are included with the artist, year made, and some other info that can add to discussion. I love that it gives us something to talk about, something pretty to look at, and my girls are getting a little daily art education. We enjoy this calendar and the way it fits into our routine so much that it’s the third year we’ve purchased it! After each year is over, I save the pages to use for art projects with the kids. I’ve even framed a couple of my favorite images. I highly recommend! This one brings us joy!

I find most paintings to be depressing. Art is pretentious and subjective. I’m a budding painter but I really hate art. I hate this calendar. I get the page-a-day calendar every year. This one leaves me wanting. I don’t like the date layout either. I hate nudes. And what’s with the bloody corpse painting, Death of Marat? I don’t want to see that! I don’t even want to look at this calendar. I threw it away, and I’m getting a “happy” calendar.

A daily art class. Wonderful experience.

I keep this calendar on my kitchen counter where I can see it whenever I’m at the sink washing dishes or working. The pictures are such high quality and a pleasure to look at. Also, there is a notation as to who the artist is and the name of the painting so I can improve my knowledge of the art world while enjoying seeing the picture. I have had this calendar with dogs, nature, and beaches. They are all wonderful. My husband said looking beaches and sand every day would be boring but we both found the coastal views outstanding - never boring. This is the first thing we look at each morning. Makes for a good start to the day.

I have tried to give this calendar a chance since I have immensely enjoyed previous editions. I have always loved the calendar, both the heavy, slick paper on which it is printed as well as the art selections. My last copy was from 2019 so I am not sure if the paper downgrade happened with the 2020 or 2021 edition. (The paper is significantly thinner and lower quality than before.). Also, many of the art selections this year leave me uninspired, so I find myself jumping ahead a few days until I find something that engages me. Not sure if I will buy the 2022 edition or not. To the producers, there is no shame in going back and repeating some of the great works you have used in the past. Furthermore, the beauty of the decorative arts, in my opinion, don't translate well in the calendar. Would prefer if it was just visual arts. Hope this feedback reaches the people who matter. Great variety of art. I've enjoyed the 2020 version immensely. It exposes to art you might not be aware of.

We loved the variety of art on this calendar. The only disappointment is that many paintings are cropped to show a detail part. That is to accommodate the shap of the calendar. I would have preferred that they would just shrink the picture so that the whole painting would fit on the page. That is how the artist intended it to be seen.

Love this calendar. Learning something new every day by Googling the artist of the day. Sometimes you find out that you knew the artist just forgot their name, you know some of their paintings. Love it, recommend for everyone who wants to broaden their art knowledge.

I bought the 2020 version and enjoyed it so much I ordered several 2021 for family and friends. Everyone who has any interest in art history would love this. High quality and size is just right for a desk. I will order several when the 2022 version is available.

Bought as gifts for 2 of my most creative, artistic friends this past holiday season. Beautiful high quality paper and print! It was very much appreciated, so I'll likely do it again for next Christmas! (That was easy!) ;)

Beautiful. Much nicer than I expected. Gift for my mom who goes to museums every month and she loved it. Each days picture can even be framed unlike those tear of ones you find everywhere

SOOO bummed :( the calendar is GREAT but I cannot display it as intended. the sides of the plastic easel were cracked and the bottom dislodged when it arrived - is it possible to get a replacement sent out ASAP? i really only need the easel - seems it was too heavy to be mailed in a bubble-pack envelope, instead of putting it inside a box to protect the plastic. i really want to use this and cheer up my work-from-home office. please advise - thanks.

Wonderful quality pictures and information on each picture. The stand is very well made, the price was right and fast delivery. Great purchase!

I like changing the days. The normal calendars look the same even though you moved forwards. If you actually remove yesterday it cant distract you from today.

The calendar is very nice, however, the Lucie holder arrived broken.

Disliked everything. I threw it out. I would like a refund. It did not work for me...Very confusing. I thought it would be a "tearoff" type, which is what I usually use, but it was not.Pages fall out.

I love learning about new artists with this calendar and like to see old favorites in the mix. Thanks for a product that has become an enrichment to my life.

This is my third year for these calendars, and it brings me joy every day, starting my work day by seeing the next artwork and learning more about the artists. My suggestion is to make a "Safe for Work" version - every now and again I have to skip a day, mostly because of nudity :-)

Great calendar, high quality!

I've had this calendar for 2020 and I've enjoyed the daily dose of art. I especially like that they're not afraid to feature off-size or oversized pieces and give us a small slice in close-up for the daily picture. It's a terrific size and fits well on my desk in between my monitors. The stand is pretty sturdy, and the method of changing days (by putting the previous day at the very back and then flipping the entire calendar mid-year) makes me feel better about paper waste. My one wish: the stand could be retained and future year refills purchased, instead of having to buy a whole new plastic stand. An important note for those using this calendar as a tool for learning about art: The information about the artist, the name and date of the piece, and the media used, is available on every card. Most of the ones I've checked are correct (and of course the obvious masterworks are correct!), but I did come across one that was decidedly incorrect. They listed it as a Juan Gris when it was really a Magritte! I went on a wild ride tracking down the source of the error - it was replicated across other sites that sell prints, even. The common source was the attributed rights owner, where they themselves had the wrong information attached. Obviously that is just 1 error in a field of hundreds, but it does point out that the images included may be carefully selected but they present the information given by the person who owns the rights to the reproducible work. If you come across something especially intriguing or not well known, be sure you track it down before citing it to your friends or buying a copy for your wall!

I love this calendar. I get happy when I see things I recognize. I get intrigued when I see something new (which is more the case). And I get giddy when it’s a photo of something I’ve actually seen in person. I will ask my kids, who gave me this as a gift, for the same thing next Christmas. Meanwhile... if I could offer one suggestion/request to the manufacturer ... in the description, if the actual dimensions of the artwork, or sculpture, or vase, were given, I’d love that too. I remember the time I saw the painting of Washington’s Crossing the Delaware in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I was struck by the sheer enormity of the painting. All my life, I saw this picture in my history book and I imagined it being small. It is not, it is grand! So I’d love to see the dimensions added to the description on these cards.

This is the 4th year running we have ordered this Workman Art Gallery Page-a-Day Calendar (and the cat and dog versions too). As desk calendars go I have yet to see one that exceeds this series for consistent quality both on a daily basis as well as from year to year. This 2021 edition is no exception as the production is of the usual high standard with some wonderful pictures of an eclectic mix of artworks including painting and sculpture covering many genres. For each day (at weekends it has one picture for Saturday and Sunday) there is a high-quality photograph together with an observation on the work depicted. The pictures are both photographically good as well as being interesting and/ the print quality is high. Additionally, the clear plastic holder supplied is really sturdy and will remain stable on your desk throughout the year. It always gives a lift to the beginning of my day to see the new picture revealed by this calendar - a tradition maintained in this 2021 version which will be an enduring gift through the year. In summary, an attractive desk calendar for 2021 that will certainly delight any art lover and it's good value too. Recommended.

We love the calendar! The images are very good quality and the pages are easy to handle. The selection of artworks is brilliant! Comes with rare old photos, poster art, classics of paintings, art from Asia, fashion, pottery and probabaly a lot more but we only turn the page on the actual day to keep the new image as a surprise - and its only april now. So thank you!

I like to use a calendar to remind me of my schedule on any particular day but even though the pictures are beautiful, I regret that there is no space to write appointments. I would not have purchased the calendar had I known this in advance.

Deeply disappointed with this item. There is art and there us awful. Cheap paper. Colourless choices. If you like art in the dark dull masterpiece then it's for you. If you like colour and life then pass.

Beautiful images of amazing works of art. It's nice to have new artwork displayed every day. It's small though, and cannot be mounted on a wall.

Of course, I haven't opened the 2021 calendar yet, so I can't offer an true opinion but I imagine it will be as good as the previous years. We've been getting them for around 10 years are often discovering something new.
