1970's AQUAMAN!
I'm thrilled that DC Comics is reprinting these old school AQUAMAN stories from the 1970's. We get introduced to classic characters like Black Manta, Ocean Master, Mera & Arthur Jr. (Aquaman & Mera's son who is murdered by Black Manta). The book itself is quite beautiful, as is the artwork inside the book. This is the second of three books released so far in this series. Hopefully DC will eventually release these in an Omnibus format. For now though, these will do! Very highly recommended! A+++
Classic aquaman 👌
Overall great! In this edition, the side stories are better then the main plot (whuch isnt bad itself.) A must have for aquaman fans
Fun
This book is fantastic
Aquaman at the turn of the '70s
Comics were undergoing immense changes as the calendar flipped from the '60s to the '70s. And the Sea King changed along with the times, in this excellent adventures with art by Jim Aparo. Bonus: tie-in back-up features starring (of all unlikely heroes) Deadman, drawn by Neal Adams! The deluxe edition includes background pieces on how these magnificent issues came to by. True, DC could never rival Marvel in this era, but these Aquaman episdoes come awfully close!
Jim Aparo / Neal Adams art
Good stories with a Great art by the legendary artists JIM APARO and NEAL ADAMS
