Should've bought it new

I was expecting, bent corners like the amazon conditions implyed, but it had serve water damage on the cover, and sharpie marks on the back. It might been acceptable if was childerns book, but it was an art book. luckily the cover was removable, so the rest the book could be flatted out. I guess it's what I get for buying used. Please include actual condition details of the products like water damage .

"All Colour But The Black" is an understatement...

You will be amazed at how vivid the colors are in this book. Any fan of the Bleach Manga will be dazzled by the colorful artwork. Not much, if anything, from the Bleach Anime Series is in the book. Many of the pages look familiar. Some are larger versions of the color cover artwork from the series. Some drawings appeared as black and white content. Some I have never seen before. The book has both Chapter 13 covers on side by side pages. Decide for yourself if there is too much gore. There are only a few words on the pages outside of what may be drawn in the pictures. No page numbers either. An index at the end gives a brief description of the plates. Be warned that much of this book comes from existing work that hardcore fans may be familiar with. But the quality of images and the size of the book are the selling points as much as the content. The book is in the Japanese Right to Left format, just like the manga, but there isn't any warning on the last page to remind you to start with the other end. The book is just under 12 inches tall and a bit wider than 8 inches. About the same dimensions as Newsweek magazine. It has about 70 pages printed on very high quality glossy paper, similar to a magazine. The painted graphics in the book are beyond description of how lively the colors are. Black is still the color of choice for the Soul Reapers. There is a Tri-Folded, double page in size, two sided poster that has a group shot of all the Court Guard Lieutenants and a group shot of Ichigo and friends in the "land of the living". The book has a nice dust cover. The title on the jacket says "All Colour But The Black" "The Art of Bleach". The author is Tite Kubo. This book would make a great gift for anyone you might know who loves Bleach and it isn't even that expensive.

Bleach: All Colour but the Black is a great Art Book for all Bleach Fans!

First off the item shipped very fast and came right on time. Very satisfied with the delivery. Secondly, let's talk about the Art book. Since I'm a fan of Anime, I've been collecting everything Anime. The art book is phenomenal, superb, fantastic, beautiful, artistic, and every adjective you can think of to describe this beautiful piece of art. Since I'm an artist myself, I say this is one of the best Art books I've collected. Every page is filled with colorful prints of Bleach characters. One thing that I've always liked about this series is that are various different characters each with unique abilities, appearances, and personalities. This book displays every single important characters from the series and on top of that it also includes a poster of Bleach characters at the end of the page for Bleach fans. I know I am very late to write a review on this product but you must understand that I wanted this book when I was a young teenager. I was even at Borders bookstore and it was gripped in my hand and pleaded with my dad to buy me it but he refused. I left the store sulking and gloomy but I promised one I'd get it. And guess what here it is man. Since now I'm old enough, I have a job and and can afford something like this with no problem. Sorry to get off track lol I had to include my short little sad story there but this is a must have art book if you loved this series and are a hardcore fan of Bleach.Highly recommended.

Wonderful book

To say it's beautiful is an understatement. When I opened this book I was amazed. The images are so crisp and clear. I've also noticed some lines have a nice shine to it. If you like Bleach or art books I'd highly recommend this.

Really gorgeous, colorful, full page art of Ichigo and his Anime Pals..but you better love Ichigo!

Bleach lovers should totally get this. For so many really cool and colorful BLEACH cast pics, it's worth it. Granted, you had better have major mojo LOVE for Ichigo, our sub shinigami boy, cause it's mostly him with his main crew (Rukia, Renji, Uryu, Chad, Orihime). My main wish would have been more of the captains, vice-captains, and villains, even if it meant less Ichigo. But you can't complain about the quality or coolness factor. Many of the full or double-page spreads actually look like fashion spreads, as if the cast was showing up in an anime-world VOGUE or VANITY FAIR layout. The one where they're all Arabian in the desert--OMIGOSH. Uryu never looked so hothothot, and Ichigo is not far behind. There's a "beach and watermelon" double-pager for the boys who like girly attributes, as Rangiku, Yoruichi, Orihime are on ample display, with an amusingly annoyed (and flat) Soi Fon left holding the watermelon wedges. Hah. Love the action ones, swords and fighter-frowns. Love that there's a pull-out poster. Love that Ichigo can be so much sexier in color stills. I really love the one that is just him, full page, bandaged torso, bare feet, intense. Lovely use of color and details and atmosphere. I hope there's gonna be an Art of Bleach II that will feature those amazing Espada character designs, especially Grimmjow and Ulquiorra (those hotties) and the Vizards. And I'd like to see color pages of the assorted fabulous bankai manifestations, like Hitsugaya's and Ayasegawa's and Hisagi's. And I'd like to see the manifestations of the zanpakuto's. (I mean, Zangetsu should have some face time, and certainly Sode no Shirayuki and Hyourinmaru and Soi Fon's (Suzumebachi?), as they were so beautifully done.) Tite kubo can draw, and he's created some fabulous characters for this manga/anime. All in all, a lot of Bleach-y eye candy, but need a better balance in future volumes (if forthcoming) so it's not an Ichigo fest, but a balanced Bleach-Fest.

A must have for any bleach fan!

A huge must have for any Bleach fan! The quality of the pages and the cover are great and I love looking at all the promo art, mag covers, sketches etc

Lots of great full page illustrations

This is a soft cover book with a dust jacket. The first page is a multi-fold page that unfolds into a small poster, both sides printed. Full page coloured illustrations dominate most of the pages. The paper stock is good and the colour reproduction great. You can see the details in inking, and in colouring , the gradations and texture of the water colour. Most of the illustrations included come from the Weekly Jump. At the end are 13 title page illustrations for the caption, which are in black and white. All illustrations are annotated. Short captions are also included by the artist Tite Kubo to explain the background story. Great book for fans of Bleach. (More pictures are available on my blog. Just visit my Amazon profile for the link.)

I love it

The illustrations are amazing and the colors that Tite Kubo uses are fantastic. I would definitely recommend to any bleach fan.

I feel like story lost it's magic after huenco mundo

Brought back my feelings when i first started the series in 2007. I don't have this kinda feeling in releases since last few years. I feel like story lost it's magic after huenco mundo. It still might be good, but felt so much disappointment from the repeatitive story line I don't even read anymore. Quality of art book was great. I saw my favourite cover arts in a very good quality.

Shut up and take my money!

Very happy with this purchase. When I saw it in a book store for $20, I didn't have the money for it. Seeing it for about $5 cheaper on Amazon (including shipping costs), I can honestly say I'd have been more than happy to pay $25 or even thirty for this. IT IS AMAZING. The pictures are all awesome, cool, and the concepts, like gangster Ichigo, Orihime, Chad, Rukia and Renji and others are very original. That, a removable poster, and some comments from Tite Kubo himself on the back pages, and I have to say that, as a Bleach fan, it's a must have.

Great art book

I wish Tito Kubo had a bigger artbook because his colored works are phenomenal. Has alot of the work(posters, covers and character introduction pages) from the Soul Society arc (volumes 1-21). A great addition to your collection, even if you're not a huge fan of Bleach.

Gorgeous colors

Bought this book as a quarantine gift to myself (took forever to arrive) but when it did come, it was in perfect condition. Will fit right in with all the other books I have for this series.

Pretty Awesome

This is a pretty great book for any Bleach lover out there. It has a lot of different art styles from various stages of Bleach, so you get some of Tite Kubo's beginning Bleach art and you get a lot more of Kubo's more recent art. It has a lot of Ichigo and his nakama, but there's some art featuring the captains and others. I'm a big fan of all the different styles of clothes Kubo features the crew in. It's a bigger sized book, so the art is larger, and it's a pretty good number of pictures for the price. I was pleased!

Stylist artwork.

I love this art book i just wished it was a Hardcover artbook.

The Art of Bleach: close to reaching expectations?

Im a big fan of the anime Bleach, I was eager to buy this book to see the artwork. Hoping i get to see fighting scenes, sketches, bios and even the villans. Like many artbooks you buy of many animated shows and films you expect to see a biography and some sketches. You probably wont see that in this book, you will literally get the artwork with great coloring and it mite mention certain characters by name but not all the ones they shouldve mentioned. Most of what was in black in white was very small and mite need a magnifying glass for certain pages, The characters they name are the usuals that are the supporting cast that hang with the main character Ichigo, but its very little named of the other kick ass squad members that come to help when the threat is big in the anime series. I dont feel cheated buying this book, You mite like the outfits, facial expressions and the great fighting poses. As a true fan if you really want to get this book just for the artwork and great coloring, this book is for you. But if you expect to learn more about the characters and see rough drafts and how they draw the character than you mite say this book is short of your expectations.

All Colour But The Black, The Art Of Bleach.

I loved this book! I just loved all the detailed drawn pictures of the book, I loved the picture of Ichigo holding Zangestu and the red Spirtrual Pressure was going around the zanpaktou, that was just amazing. I couldnt help but laugh at the Bleach At the Beach Girls picture, but did anyone else notice Unohana holding those binoculars looking at Nanano who lost her bikini top in the water!?! Anyway, the only thing i didnt like about this book was they kept making Rangiku's hair blonde instead of orange.

Even better than I was hoping

Really great artbook for the price. Not a complaint but something that surprised me was even though it's translated to English the spine of the book is still on the right side.

Nice

If you're a fan of bleach, this is a must.

Really Amazing art

Love the art love this book. Really well taken care of. Great buy great price.

Colorful

Was a gift he draws anime and likes this brand he liked it a lot

Just Bleach

I have to say that when I opened the package and saw this,I really didn't expect it! First of all,the size of it.I had always thought it would be the size of a regular volume or maybe the size of the databooks, but that was not the deal.It is a lot bigger and satisfying! Most of the colourspreads in it take up to two pages. It truly is something to just feast your eyes upon. If you are a Bleach fan then you probably already love Tite Kubo-sensei's art,so yeah..Don't waste time poindering about it!It truly is worth its money and you will have no regrets! Happy purchases and reading :)

Quick delivery 🚚

This was a Birthday present for one of my best friends and he loved it! Also the delivery was quick too👍

Gorgeous

A must have for any Bleach fan. Book was bigger than expected and beautifully colored. Tite Kubo did an amazing job putting a collection of art together.

Real Art

I can't say more to what alrady have been said about this Art book but to insist on the word Art and Beauty. Kubo is a brilliant artist who loves his characters and fans. The drawings are amazingly done and colored. It's a precious art book for all Bleach fans.

Great!

Looks great!

I loved this book

I loved this book!!! 10/10, but it felt short to me. Maybe i was expecting more artwork than it gave, but other than that it's a great artbook~

Great for an 11 year old

I purchased this for my 11 year old grandson's birthday and it was a BIG hit. He loved it.

a great gift

I bought this for my nephew who is into this type of art. He was so surprised and pleased that I got him something he really liked. He enjoyed looking through the book.

Good quality

Great addition to my collection.

Stunningly beautiful

I love this book. I almost feel like I should put on gloves before handling it to avoid fingerprints; it's a quality art book for not much money!

Would recommend to any Bleach or art collectors

Slightly pricey for me, but full of lovely illustrations. Would recommend to any Bleach or art collectors.

Great illustrations

Great illustrations...

The Art of Bleach: All Colour but the Black

This art book is perfect for any avid Bleach fan! It has amazing pictures of many of everyone's favorite characters such as Rukia, Ichigo, Renji, Toushiro, etc. The pictures are great for those who like to draw or just need some posters for their walls. Each picture has a description at the end of the book, by none other than the artist himself and the creator of Bleach-Tite Kubo!

Five Stars

Good quality and came on time.

fantastic!

I LOVED this book, my only complaint was that it wasnt long enough and/or I couldnt find another one to buy! You wont be sorry for this purchase if you are a Bleach fan or just an anime/manga art fan.

Kubo so good

Beautiful art

A must for Bleach fans

This book is awsome if you are a huge Bleach fan and its cool to be able to see your favorite characters up close.

Awesome art book

This art book is great. Some really cool colored pictures in here and its fairly cheap. I got it used so it was a little rough around the edges, but just barely.

Love Bleach? Love Japanese art? Bingo!!

For any diehard Bleach fan, this is the artbook for you! The art is amazing and Tite Kubo is a genius!!!! There are several rare art pieces in here as well. This is something a Bleach fan should not go without!!

Great graphics

My son wanted this book and really liked the animae style. There are great graphics in here lovely drawings and such.

Love this art book

A great ad to any collection of BLEACH manga. This show many unseen drawings and it's in color! Enough said!

Five Stars

I love Tite Kubo's style. I wished he had done a mini tutorial in it.

Good book. Such wow.

It's awesome. It absolutely lives up to expectations. I got it as a reference for drawing characters and it helps a lot.

Beautiful but....

Each page was beautifully colored but it doesn't have any Hallows or Espadas!!! Overall it's your ordinary art book and if your a fan of Bleach then go ahead and get it!

Wonderful

I love this artbook so much

book

Great quality, love the the Japanese anime. Wasn't expecting it to be in Japanese format left to right whereas in the US right to left is typical format. A little hard to get use to but love it all the same. Great product.

Five Stars

Way better than I could of imagined!

The Art of Bleach

I liked this, it kind of gives you a bit of insight as too what the characters would look like in some different situations which is helpful if you are trying to draw any of them. This also has descriptions of the drawings like when they were used, or if they were discarded for instance.

Loved!

Great book for an Bleach lover. The actual product was great quality and the printing was glossy and clear with vibrant color.

Beautiful artwork from Kubo Tite.

The best part of the book is reading Kubo's own explanations for the designs and characters.

Five Stars

So pretty! Great quality artwork, didn't take long to get here either.

Beautiful artwork.

Love the artwork of this book. It was awesome to see all the different drawings and characters. Especially with the different themes he drew them in.

Love Bleach!

A must have for any Bleach fan! The colors are awesome! Got it for my birthday and have looked through it a lot.

Awesome

Awesome. In prefect conditions

STAY AWAY FROM MAGAZINE QUALITY

MAGAZINE QUALITY NOTHING LIKE A NICE ART BOOK SHOULD BE I WOULD NOT BUY COMING FROM A BLEACH FAN YA DIG

A must own for any Bleach or Kubo fan!

A necessary book of wonders for any Bleach fan! $15 is great price for the amazing content this book has to offer. This book can be described as an Ichigo-fest with the drippiest, dopest images of him and the gang. Kubo never disappoints and this book is no different; there's seriously some cool artwork in here. The poses, the fashions and attitude of the series is strongly evident throughout as we see the gang and Soul Society members looking their best. I only wish there was some artwork of the espada in here but other than that, I have no other complaints. If you like fan service, Kubo's artwork or Bleach in general then you should definitely buy this book

All colour but black

Anyone who's read "Bleach" knows that Tite Kubo has a pretty distinct art style, and that he's as likely to have fun with it as to strike a pose. Turns out it's even more amazing in brilliant, vibrant colours than in the usual black-and-white of a manga. "The Art of Bleach" showcases a number of Kubo's artwork, ranging from dramatic promotional work to fun little doodles of female characters with little wings, along with plenty of pictures of protagonist Ichigo in a variety of poses. In fact, most of the pictures here center on/feature Ichigo -- our hero even gets a two-page spread of him slashing with his sword, smiling cheerfully, looking grumpy, making faces, and so on. And there are plenty of vibrantly coloured pictures with him posing with a sword -- as well as with Rukia, his little sister, and even a posteresque picture of him and Renji attacking one another (with close-ups of their faces). But though most of the pictures are about Ichigo (unsurprising, since he is the hero), Kubo doesn't neglect the rest of the cast. The captains are all given individual illustrations, and some of them such as Byakuya (seen looking sadly at Rukia) and Zaraki (seen in mad-grin mode, both with and without blood spatters) get extra illustrations. And though the lieutenants and villains tend to get less focus, we get to see Renji, Kira and Momo as students. There's also a lot of main cast pictures -- usually slumping around in urban punkywear and tracksuits (including a bandana that completely covers Renji's face). Kubo does manage to soup it up with some funny twists, such as showing Ichigo, Kon, Renji and Rukia on the tops of three CDs. Kubo also includes some of the color pictures from the manga (such as Rukia's abortive execution and Ichigo's flying rescue), and the final few pages are devoted to his take on each picture. In a short paragraph or two, he describes the origins and intent of each picture, and what the receptions to some of them were. "The Art of Bleach" shows it all stages -- the relatively rough earlier stuff, the more polished later illustrations, and even some funny little side-pictures like Santa Kon, or Orihime dressed as a frolicking Valentine's Day angel with a giant chocolate heart. There's little more to this book than Kubo's pictures, but those pictures are beautifully done. Kubo's art has always been unique, full of long thin limbs, angular bodies, strong-boned faces with wide mouths (not to mention prominent Adam's apples for the boys), and complicated slouchy clothes. It's interesting at the best of times, but the bright colours and odd layouts add a whole other dimension to his artwork. And there's some humor to some of these pictures, such as a rather PG-13 picture of the bikini-clad girls of "Bleach" enjoying the beach, and Ichigo and Orihime playing at kung-fu in suitable costumes. If there's a flaw in this art book, it's that the supporting cast is rather sidelined -- Ichigo's sisters and friends, most of the captains and lieutenants are sparsely represented. But we do get some nice Ganju Shiba pictures. It's a relatively small flaw in an otherwise lovely "Art of Bleach" book, where Kubo's relaxed, eccentric approach to his action manga keeps things colorful.

All Colour but the Black: The Art of Bleach. AN INSIDE LOOK.

See the world of Bleach in a blast of color This art book contains Tite Kubo's vibrant illustrations, including art from Volumes 1-19 of the series, as well as an annotated art guide and some extra character information.

All in the Detail. 4 Minute Review on YouTube: https://youtu.be/LYWK7www4Y8

This book contains almost all full colored pages. There are a few pages in the back with some information on muliple characters on the very back that are not in color. This contains a mini poster and the sleeve that is over the art book. This is worth the money because it has more artwork from the manga that is colored and there are great scenes also that were very important in the Soul Society Arc that are colored. Here is a 4 minute review on YouTube on the art book: https://youtu.be/LYWK7www4Y8

Great piece to have in your collection.

Sister got it for me! I FREAKING LOVE IT. My only wish is that it had the Arrancar in it.

Mr. Kubo puts other illustrators to shame

Being a huge fan of Bleach and all that it includes, I was first drawn in by Mr. Kubo's amazing talent. The illustrations in this book are no less than amazing. As a fashion illustrator I found his illustration acuracy and talent refreshing.

Nothing short of amazing

I just got this book a couple of days ago and could not stop flipping through the pages over and over again. I absolutely LOVE Kubo Tite's drawing style...it's refreshing to see the Bleach characters in both "traditional" and modern outfits. MUST HAVE for a Bleach fan! :)

Simply gorgeous!

All I can say is WOW. If you are a fan of the Bleach manga or anime this is a MUST HAVE. Tite Kubo is a stand-out manga artist and this collection of his art is worth every penny. For us in the states it is a treat to see some of his drawings that were featured in the Shonen Jump magazine in Japan. Tite Kubo lists little facts, musings or thoughts on each drawing featured in the book and it was cool to read his words about his work. Well priced and I can only hope this is one of many art books released.

Bleach fan

1st book started to fall apart at the seam before 30 days was up and Amazon, who is terrific to buy from, replaced the book for my daughter.

Amazing Bleach Art

This is definitely a book to own if u are a major bleach fan... every single page has amazing art and one could not be happier with each art piece... a MUST BUY!!

Great for a bleach fan

I bought it thinking it was a small book but it's bigger and love the pictures.

Bleach

This book presents some great color art pieces of the Bleach series, with a brief commentary section near the end. While the series didn't end the way many fans expected, it was still a fascinating journey. I always enjoyed the artists clean cut drawing style, focusing on the characters over environmental detail. This book came out in 2006 while the series was still ongoing, but if you are looking for a more comprehensive collectors edition artbook of Bleach that came out at a later date, look for 'Bleach JET'.

Poor transport packaging great book

Book arrived badly creased which is a pity as its a nicely presented and well printed art book which I would give 5 stars. Supplier should have added card protection as only in a thin plastic wrapper. Disappointing.

Beautiful Bleach

This brilliantly beautiful art book contains more sixty full colour pictures of the characters from Bleach. The pictures are taken from a number of sources including posters, calendars, cover artwork, extracts from the manga itself and much more, including a couple of new pieces made for this book. Each piece is reproduced brilliantly and the back of the book also includes a bit of text by Tite Kubo, briefly explaining each piece. This is a brilliant book that expertly shows off Tite Kubo's beautiful artwork in all its glory. This book is defiantly a must buy for any serious fan of the series but I do feel that casual fans may not get as much out of it.

Nice to own

Good size, perfect condition, beautiful artwork. Would be nice if we had more characters included. Can't wait for another art book as the anime is coming back! @_@

Great collector's item for a Bleach fan!

A large book with illustrations of perfect quality. The paper is top notch and the printing is flawless. I wish I had bought two of these, one to keep and the other to tear apart to separate pages and frame them as posters on the walls - it is this good XD Some fonts in the translations of the last pages could have been chosen more carefully but otherwise the issue is great. And there is a fold out two sided poster with captains and leutenants on one side (including Kaien Shiba!) and casually clothed main cast (plus Hitsugaya) on the other.

Looks good

It’s a present. But flicking through it looks good. He will appreciate it.

Stunning.

the art work is stunning, truly amazing. some great print's and a nice wide variety of theme's and both single and multiple charter drawings in colour, a must have for any Bleach collection.

Minor damage to cover.

The cover had a few scratches and small patches of sticky substances on it. The book itself and it's contents is however are great.

Worth the price

Amazing collection of illustrations. You can say a lot of things about Bleach, but Tite Kubo has an amazing drawing technique. Very stylish.
