feel like Real Piano Music
This book has the most classical-feeling music in it of all of the Basic Piano Library books, unlike some of them where it shakes up different music types. Starting at the second song, Theme from Swan Lake, it goes through a long string of songs that, for the first time, feel like Real Piano Music, as opposed to cute folk tunes or straight up boring piano drills, which is the vibe of the rest of the books, including #6.
Good Series
I've been teaching for years and I like this method.
Great Series
This is a great series. My son has used Alfred's since he was eight years old and has done very well.
Alfred Basic Piano book, Level 5
I like the advancement of the level. It continues to enhance my playing ability.
Five Stars
Good book
Typical Alfred
The book is much like the others with an emphasis on scales and theory, which is why I like this series. This book for some reason is not in color. That isn't a big deal, but since the others are it seems a little bland with all black and white pictures. There is a little too much emphasis on minor and my child is getting sick of gloomy sounding songs, but hopefully that will change soon.
Great piano book series.
We have been using Alfred's series for 10 years. Love it.
Five Stars
Love this series for beginners to intermediate pianists. This level has more classical pieces than the previous levels.

Level 5 is alive!
I had this book when I was a kid and lost it. Great for learning how to play!
Good Series for Fairly New Players!
This series is for students who have a basic grasp of the fundementals (can read music, time signatures, key signatures, etc) and who have been playing for a year or two (or three, depends on how quickly your student is progressing). The books contain a nice combination of classical and other classical "lite" well-known (recognizeable) pieces as well as explanations for various things). Should keep your student's interest :)
