This book will blow your mind.

Many of the business section books have become more of the same, replaying the same version of a start-up story. Well, this one is full of leadership insights you did not even dare think about. I have always been attracted to the spiritual practices but I always looked at them as something to use in your private life. This is the first time I read about how can you really combine them with building and running a business and intertwine it in the corporate culture on the management level. The flashlight leadership should become a new standard on how to lead and build corporate culture in the modern organizations. It’s a holistic approach to leadership suited for the new era we are living in. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested to learn how to use your life passion to build a successful company combining modern leadership practices and spiritual techniques. However, 7 unicorn drive is really is so much more. Anyone can find something new and exciting to take away, even if you are not interested in the business part, as it is a beautiful love story as well. This is by far my favorite business book.

A lighthouse in the sea of business books

This book is exceptionally well written and presents the core ideas that each business should understand. It's presented through a story - to not have a feeling of a textbook although it could be used as one as well. I recommend this book to anyone who's thinking of starting their own business or that already have their business established, as it gives you the foundations of how can you succeed and make a difference in the world.

Real Life with Real Lessons for All of Us

The author does a great job of making you feel you are watching the story of Iza and Soma unfold right in front of you. This book is an easy read that gives you a glimpse into the lives of two extraordinary human beings. My biggest take-away from the book is the selfless leadership lessons you learn throughout the journey. Iza and Soma have really found the "secret sauce" of success and it was not luck but just being good people and staying focused (like a flashlight!). The best parts of the book continue all the way until the last page. A must-read for anyone who values doing the right things for the right reason and seeing that the good guys do win in the end.

This book is as much about life as it is about business

It's about where life takes you if you find your purpose and mission, and it's about meaningful ideas coming to fruition. There are many biographies of successful people, but all too often, success only revolves around numbers. The words "values" and "purpose" get thrown around a lot nowadays, not because management believes in them, but because it's trendy. This book, however, takes you on a journey of what happens if founders practice what they preach, build a company around the 'why' and stick to it no matter what. The 'whats' and 'hows' are in there too for current and future entrepreneurs to learn about, packed neatly into an unputdownable story (consumed it in four sittings). Yet, 7 Unicorn Drive is not only for business people but for anyone wanting more from life than just pursuing materialistic gains. Two favorite excerpts: "If we don't have the right information," he thought, "we can devise the weirdest stories in our minds that lead to fear and conflict. How unnecessary." Only when you find the answer to your 'why', when you choose your destination, can you start on the right path to reach it. And that will make you happy.

What really makes you happy and what YOU will do to get that?

I have been following Outfit 7. From the time when it was front-page news to the billion-dollar sale. It is great that we can now get some glimpse of what was happening behind the scenes. Iza and Samo share how they started and how they built one of the most successful IT companies. And it was not all sunshine and roses. What I like about this book is that this is not just another “get rich quick” book. I like their approach with traditional values and some not-so-traditional methods. I also liked that they focus more on what is important and not dwell too much on numbers. I would not like to include spoilers, but what I liked the most is their main point – What really makes you happy and what YOU will do to get that? I highly recommend the book.

Inspirational !

This is a story within a story. The amazing success of a relatively small business in 7 years. Yet within that story is a real story of what’s truly important in life, who we are, why we’re here and the limitless possibilities of what we can do with this life to be happy, fulfilled and make a difference in our own unique way. Inspirational!

An inspiring and honest book

I found this book incredibly inspiring and engaging. I appreciated how open and honest the book felt and I really learned a lot about leadership, spirituality, startup culture, and much more. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in leadership, startups, technology, and philanthropy.

Amazing book!

It opened my eyes, thank you! Loved everything about this book. The power is within us. Wow, what a story!

Extraordinary (business) story that has so much to teach!

Captivating life story of a couple who dreamt a dream and then made it into reality. Refreshing read about absolute business triumph only to be so much more than just about business. This book has so many golden nuggets about personal mission, co-creation, collaboration, values of truth and love and just a whole new perspective on purpose that is meaningful. Crazy to think that this a real life story especially given the timeline but it is a testament of what is possible, personal power and the power of the Universe!

7 Unicorn drive

I like it so much. Very inspirational.
