Now, I'm not an expert on SEO like Will Coombe (the author) is but I've somehow managed to make millions of dollars online using techniques and strategies that I've developed (and continued to alter with the ever-changing internet marketing environment) since 2006/2007. So, I know "a little" about online marketing to say the least but I'm no techie expert by any stretch. But, as we all know, A LOT has changed, ESPECIALLY with Google. And not only does Will directly acknowledge it (including using some pretty good and visually accurate euphemisms when explaining Google before (as a gullible infant whose lollipop could be stolen by anyone back 10+ years) to what they are now (a giant sophisticated powerhouse-like god in the clouds that cannot be fooled with by white-, gray- or black-hat SEO tricks without the trickster feeling the full wrath of hell). His visual descriptions are much better and more articulate than mine but at least he doesn't breeze over this staggering difference in how Google operates (then vs. now) like many other books do. In fact, most other books try to make the marketer the one to blame for being stupid for not "being flowingly flexible to the ever-algorithm changes" like we're all naturally supposed to figure all this stuff out every day as we roll out of bed in the morning. Will even clearly states that even he doesn't know the secrets behind the algorithms of search engines and none of us ever will unless we work at Google in that department. The moment I started reading this book, I instantly knew it was way different than all the other clap-trap that I've read over the past several months. I have a book stack the height of the Tower of Pisa in hack work from internet "guru" wannabes by the dozens who have the most B.S. information about SEO strategies...further muddying the already blackened cesspool of information out there on this subject. Not only does Will acknowledge this but explains the obvious reason why all this misinformation is out there: to make people money on the "reveal" of the latest and greatest "magic bullet secret" to make tons of money online when all these hucksters actually sell are books, courses, seminars, programs, trainings, etc. on -- yep, you guessed it -- making money online. And that's how they make money online...by claiming to be an expert who can help you make money online. And we all know there is no "magic bullet" for anything. At least us SMART people know that. Listen, you don't know me from Adam. I get that. To be clear, I'm not affiliated with the author in any way and if you click on my profile you'll see that I've been a faithful Amazon customer for over a decade (back when Amazon sold only books...remember those days?) giving scathingly honest reviews on my purchases over the years. The reason I'm telling you this is because I want you to get this book. And there's a reason for that. In fact, get this book and skip all the rest. You see, I only wish I had this book a year ago because it would have saved me of so much crappy information that just misled me into wrong directions, dead ends, and LOSS of money implementing what the wannabe guru hacks were outlining in their flimsy flapping-in-the-breeze books. And I don't want you to experience what I have in the past year trying to navigate the bloody waters of SEO and PPC marketing, especially with Google. Otherwise, you risk filling your head with a bunch of dumb info that you somehow have to spill back out and forget (which is sometimes difficult to do -- where's Neo when you need him?) so you can replace it with knowledge LIKE THIS BOOK OFFERS...you know, the stuff that ACTUALLY WORKS in today's SEO and PPC environment?! It's much better to start from a clean slate (like maybe you are now) than how I was/am...having to dump out misinformation FIRST before being able to absorb and implement all the amazing and incredible golden nuggets that Will Coombe has on EVERY PAGE of this book. (And his book is a pretty thick book too...NOT some cheesy booklet/pamphlet that you'll get by many others on this subject matter.) Finally, Will Coombe doesn't leave you twisting in the wind either. He offers online video tutorials for free by going to his website that he has listed every 5th page or so (you'd have to be blind to miss it). This is especially for all of you "non-techie" people who automatically freak out when somebody mentions "SEO" or anything remotely complicated sounding. Will has you covered. He shows you STEP BY STEP exactly what he is outlining in his book. And by the way, the strategies he outlines are relatively simple. He is so articulate in how he simply and comprehensively outlines his exact steps, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination. You would have had to have gotten a full frontal lobotomy to not be savvy enough to figure out his precise blueprint for your website(s) relatively quickly. GET THIS BOOK. STOP BUYING OTHER SEO BOOKS. Enough said! I wish you many blessings for your upcoming prosperous online marketing campaign and all of your future business endeavors. Take care!

I'm updating this 11 months later because we just hit #1 on google in our market. Our organic search numbers are five times what they were when I bought this book. Do yourself a favor, don't hire a professional for thousands of dollars. Buy this book, read it twice and work the plan. You'll get a return on your investment of thousands of dollars per hour. ****** I kept putting off SEO because I knew I was hiring a web design firm to redevelop our website. I told the team repeatedly that SEO was my primary goal, and I paid them $15,000. We ended up WORSE on SEO. Like on page 7 of Google and that's with not a lot of serious competition. Determined to do this myself, I ordered this book. Read it cover to cover and dug in. The first thing I discovered is that our competitor was betting 4700 organic search results per month to our 160.. OUCH. Then using the principles taught in this book I was able to figure out how many sales that was costing us per month. I wanted to vomit. Anyway - After reading the book I spent maybe 10 hours on the plan for week 1 and 2 (of the 12 week plan) and we are ALREADY ON THE FIRST PAGE OF GOOGLE!!! I'm blown away. I'll update this as I continue to work the plan, but I have no doubt that Ill beat all of our competitors. Mostly because of the book, but also because none of them have a clue about SEO. In fact you should really start with this book prior to "starting" your company as it explains processes like choosing a domain and setting up a website with Wordpress. I had already done some of that and had to walk back bad choices I made, but live and learn. Will has a personable writing style and even attempts humor to keep the text from becoming too dry. I don't have a doubt that I'm better off having read this book and followed Will's steps. I can already see my Google search ranking going up and I'm appearing on local searches. The one negative I currently have with the instructions concerns local SEO and the steps to adding your company to many online listing companies like Yellow Pages. Will warns about being prepared for upsells when you are signing up for these sites, and sates you don't need to pay for them to boost your local SEO. What is not mentioned is how many scams you will draw by listing your company in a directory and what NOT to do when the scams come rolling in. My experience after one day has been two rather convincing calls asking to "verify" my listing. The first emailed me a link to click so I could "join" her to review my listing. Oh no. Today the caller walked me through my listing again then started in with a sales pitch about how it was just $5 a month. I said no and he immediately hung up. So I say go ahead with the directory listing step, just because you must, but be aware yourself and warn all your employees you will be getting scam calls and probably scam mail with fake Yellow Pages bills. Search for directory listing scam online and educate yourself and your employees before getting into trouble. WATCH OUT.

I’ve never had any interest in SEO whatsoever and only utilized paid advertisement for my small online niche business over the past three years. Sometime last year I made the decision to start writing blog content as a way to bolster my paid advertising. When a prospect visited my website, it couldn’t hurt to have a few helpful pieces of content there, right? Now here’s where things got interesting: I monitor my growing email list and every week, sure enough, there were more organic leads. After two months of this, I finally shut down all my paid advertisement. It simply wasn’t necessary. Then a light bulb went off in my head - this had been happening because my page was ranking on google for some of the content I was writing. Trust me, my page was as far from Search Engine Optimized as you could get, but I was getting results. I wondered to myself, what might happen if I took this SEO thing seriously? What if I optimized? I took the risk of getting Coombe’s book. Not based on monetary risk, but the risk required to spend my time reading through what I suspected would just be a semi-helpful common sense and dreary guide. It was anything but. The Coombes writing is engaging, clean, and easy to read. There’s little fluff, and his perspective on SEO is accessible. As far as the content, it provides an actionably game plan to increase the likelihood that Google will highly your business. Best yet, the author goes above and beyond with his the personal touches included - such as a full length video course, and many remarks to email him for anything. Curious, I sent a message to him and was pleasantly surprised to receive a warm and prompt reply. Great! Couldn’t recommend the book enough.

I read this book in one sitting and feel like I understand the way the internet works. However, it is incomplete. While the book dives deeply into SEO, it assumes a large amount of knowledge from the reader. For example, the section on keywords is far too brief for how important it is, with the author saying that if you own a business you probably already know your keywords. Hahahaha. Guess again. Also, nearly all of the examples are for local brick and mortar businesses which don't help me at all and seem the simplest to optimize for SEO. Walking away, I feel like I understand SEO in a deep and meaningful way, but am lacking the skills to take action on his plan (which is excellent and the reason I bought the book). I would love to see an expanded version with more real world examples and different business models.

I don't need a book to begin by telling me why SEO is important for several chapters. The information was useless to me. After I got this book, I bought My SEO Workbook by Akilah A. Thompkins-Robinson. It's hands down the best information on SEO I've ever had and that is A LOT. This book was just a disappointment all the way around and I wanted to like it.

He explains the importance of finding the right keywords as the foundation of your website. He gives you the tools you need to find the right keywords. He clearly sets out the four pillars of establishing a great Google ranking for your website: relevance, crawlability, engagement, and authority. He tells you in plain English how to set up these four pillar successfully. Here's the best part of his book: He provides you with a detailed blueprint and timelines to follow to get your website on the first page of Google for your keywords. This blueprint is worth many times the price of the book. This seo book gets my highest recommendation.

I'm really new to SEO and over the years had ordered a few books that were so "techie" I just could not get through the first couple of chapters. This book is the best I've read. First Will takes you from ground zero using layman's language and some GREAT examples and links to some Websites that he uses. He even gave some exact keywords for a different industry and showed how Google ranks them and how to find out how many visitors your competitors are getting and what keywords are driving that traffic. I think it's a great resource, especially for people who don't know how SEO works and how to get started. In the book he included his email address. I didn't think he would respond to a long email I had about my Website and what is the best route to take. Not only did he reply in detail he did a video for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was blown away. All I can say is order this book. You won't be disappointed. Update: March 11th, 2020 The more I read and watch the videos the more I realize I was doing everything wrong. I'm going back through every page in my website and it was full of mistakes. I'm making changes one at a time. It's not going to be an overnight process but it should over a "short" period of time get my website pages rank at least on the first page of Google. Before I could not even find them. What a GREAT resource this book has become.

This book is very well-written. The author has gone to great lengths to make sure the reader understands exactly what SEO is and how to get your website optimized for a high search engine ranking. Not only are the explanations excellent, but there are also links to numerous online tools (mostly free) that are critical in helping your site achieve a high ranking. For instance, there are links and tutorials for tools that help you determine how many people are searching for certain keywords, how much competition there is for that keyword combination, and suggestions for what other similar keywords might be a better fit for your business. In addition, the author has also created some high-quality video tutorials to supplement the book. This is very helpful, because you can see exactly where to go on a particular web tool and what to look for. It's so much better than static screen captures in a book! He really has stepped up his game to help you understand the ins and outs of SEO. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to up their SEO game. It's the best book I've read on the subject so far, and I'm looking forward to implementing as many of the steps as I can for my own site. Thanks!

If you are have an online business or looking to start one - You have to start with this book! I bought this book before boarding a plane, hoping to get some tidbits of information... figuring it would be dry. The book was amazing, engaging, entertaining and extremely insightful on SEO. I was so excited about it! I have a business and although I have an agency managing SEO for me, it completely educated me so I could not only identify what things needed to be worked on, but to manage them better as well. I bought one for my team so they could know about these important strategies! Although I highly recommend reading the entire book, the author even has the step by step 'cliff note' how to version at the end of the book!

I retract my criticism! I'm walking this back. Yes, it was published in 2017 and google ads & keyword tool have changed yet again--but once I created a credible google account, poof! All the tools started working as Will coaches. I don't like being slammed into an account but it seems that's what every SEO tool I try, does anymore. As for Will's critics, he's only in the most wickedly competitive online marketing category an advisor could hope to find himself. But his coaching is right-on and rock solid. What are you good at? What do you know? This is the path you got to walk. Once you descend from the clouds and develop what you know as opposed to the highest paying wannabe ad words--it all falls into place. Granted, the up-front frustration, confusion and cacophony of marketers is like falling into a blender set on high. But now, not a day goes by I don't spot a quality unannounced affiliate marketer who wants to work with me. If you don't recognize genuine talent when you read it, find another coach

Started an e-commerce business and had great success out the gates then within a few month things totally dried up. My web contractor insisted that SEO was the solution. Like many entrepreneurs I wanted to validate his claim prior to handing over vital resources. So, I purchased Will Coombe's book along with another on SEO. I gave one to my biz partner (my son) and I took, 3 Months to No. 1. Firts off, this book is far more than an SEO explanation, it's literally an SEO BLUEPRINT! Mr. Coombe's gives you the clarity that only comes from speaking with an expert. And he gives you the online tools necessary to execute the articulared strategy. When I say "gives" I mean FREE online resources that are essential to implantation and insight. Secondly, my now EX-web manager was totally unaware of these resources. Thank you Will, for sharing your knowledge and saving me the money 💰 I would've paid that SEO hack. I'll be back in 3 Months with an update on our success. Cheers 🍻

When I wrote my most recent book about chess and investing with world chess champion, Grandmaster Susan Polgar (“Rich As A King”), we realized that we didn’t just want people to buy books. We wanted them to come to our website and become part of our movement to think strategically and tactically about investing. We used tools that Will Coombe teaches about, but unfortunately, we didn’t have his book at the time. Coombe has created a practical guide that everyone should use who wants to build a strong web presence.

I have returned to the SEO business after a few years and all I can say is - buy this book if you want to learn how to do SEO properly! I have upgraded my knowledge thanks to Will's book. I know what works (great content, clear guidelines to SEO basics), but I learned how to get quality backlinks. I learned what services to use that are very helpful for boosting my client's rankings in Google and many more things. But the thing that I like the most is that everything is clear and to the point. There are other books out there which are ok (The Art of SEO, for example), but are just too long (and expensive!). With this book, you can start doing SEO immediately. Also, Will makes it clear that there are no shortcuts to SEO. You are in for the long haul. Buy it, you will be very satisfied!

Oh my goodness I LOVE this book!! I recently took the plunge and quit my job (eek!) to follow my passion and start my own company. We're mostly going to be an online presence so I can't afford to rank poorly in Google. I also can't afford to pay someone to do SEO for me since I've already pumped a lot of cash into the business. I'd done tons of reading on SEO before this and so far this is the only resource I've come across which is clearly understandable and practical. I tried one other SEO book before this and it wasn't great. To be fair though there are a lot of SEO books out there so this might be one of many good ones. Who knows! Anyway, I'd recommend this to anyone who's thinking of starting a business.

I started my web design and SEO business a year ago. I've read lots of blogs at Moz, Yoast, Neil Patel, Backlinko, to name a few. But all the pieces of my research could not be completed until I read this book: 3 Months to No.1 by Will Coombe. When I say this book completed my research, it doesn't mean I finish my SEO study. It will never end as SEO keeps evolving. When I say it's completed, it means all the pieces of my research clicked into the places and created a big picture. Hundreds different pieces of information made one big clear map. The map shows me how to arrive at the destination on time. I want to share 3 reasons why I love this book. First, while I read the book, I felt like listening to my mentor. I just started my business 1 year ago and his 7+ year-experiences provided me with invaluable knowledge. It's not just knowledge about SEO but also knowledge about running this business. Even though I've made several keywords #1 in local search results, I had doubt and uncertainty in many ways as starting a new business. This book slowly dissolved my doubts and turned them into hope. Second, I'm gaining "SEO commonsense". When I studied SEO tips & tricks through blogs, I have faced many conflicts between tips. Which one should I trust? But now as I understand SEO's history and read Will(author)'s experiences, I think I'm gaining "SEO commonsense". SEO is not just a list of tips or tricks. What I understand is that SEO is elaborate processes of generating and distributing useful quality contents to the right users. Now, when I make decisions, I trust my SEO commonsense. Third, Will is a passionate teacher. I had a bunch of questions about Google+. Some people say Google+ is important for SEO but it's not a user-friendly social platform at all. (Mostly, marketers post links on Google+ as if finishing their homework. Not much inspiration.) How can I use it? I emailed my questions about Google+ & Gmail to Will. In a few days, he replied. He made a 5 minute private YouTube video and sent me the link. Wow. How surprising! The video starts with the greeting saying, "Hi Shawn! It's Will Coombe speaking here." I got another piece of invaluable information directly from the expert. [IN CONCLUSION] I recommend the book, "3 Months to No. 1" as much as I love it. It's right for you: (1) if you want to gain SEO commonsense instead of stuffing your brain with tidbits of conflicting tricks; (2) if you're starting or considering to start your SEO business; (3) and if you're looking for support from an experienced expert. I am about four months into the process of on-page and off-page optimization for my website. It's very easy to read and Will shares a lot of amusing stories and experiences to cement certain ideas and concepts. I really feel like Will is a pro at this. None of that YouTube SEO garbage, No. Will emphasizes a slow, honest methodical approach that won't get you in timeout with Google. The techniques work for Google and Bing + you get a handy cheat sheet and numerous tutorials through the books accompanying website. IMHO, this is worth way more than $18.99. Not that I would, but I could easily guide my client and loved one through the process with the wealth of knowledge I gained from this quick read. If you're cool with being patient - go get this book. It's worth its weight and Google SEO ranking!

I was in the process of learning how to do this whole digital marketing game when I came across this book. I typically do look for books with a very strict process of either being at least a 4.5 rating and above or recommended by a personal mentor that I trust and not knowing this author at all and seeing the 5-star ratings, I had to dive in and see what was going on. It did not disappoint. I absolutely will be revisiting this book as I continue my journey building my skillset for SEO and found the clarity and communication the author had throughout the book spot on and like he was talking directly to me. There are no promises of becoming rich quick or that you'll rank #1 even despite the cover title claiming this because, to be honest, there are just some sites that no matter how great the effort or money is thrown at it, people just won't visit it and he makes that very clear. You won't be disappointed reading this regardless if you're a newbie like me or a veteran wondering if there was value in this book, trust me, it's there.

Being a newbie to SEO, this book was a godsend! Will Crombe did an amazing job breaking it down simply so I could catch up to speed and start acting on the information right away. I took so many notes while reading and it's made a huge difference in how I've approached restructuing and building out my website content. The corresponding video series was perfect so I could follow along step by step and make the changes. It's been just two weeks since I started using the information, but already I've seen huge spikes in my blog posts and general site traffic. Highly recommend this book to anyone building out a site for the first time or someone looking to optimize. As Will mentions in the book, this is loaded with lots of useful information that I think experienced people would find helpful as well but I can only speak for my experience. Excited to see much more growth I can achieve with more time and making sure to use these strategies from the get-go when creating new content from my site!

I can’t say enough great things about Three Days to No. 3. Many of the How To books I like to read are really not How To. Many times when it comes to the meat of the subject the author will skirt how whatever they’re talking about in order to sell some other aspect of their livelihood. 3 to 1 doesn’t follow that disappointing format. Will Combe follows his own format allowing us to see exactly what it takes to succeed. Consequently, I wholeheartedly recommend Three Months to No. 1. I don’t believe you be disappointed. Even if you know SEO well, I’d be willing to state you’ll learn some new aspect you didn’t know or a special different perspective on what you do. But it now if you want to know SEO.

If you're looking for a good mentor Will Coombe is exceptionally qualified. He will take you through the various steps and what it takes to achieve that top No1 spot in google. I was impressed with his effort of combining 9 years+ of being one of the UK's leading SEO firms into a solid 6-month marathon of putting it all out there in this book, that is not an easy thing to do and it is one of the reasons which has made me appreciate the contents all the more, he is also a go-getter and an adventurous individual, so you know when you're reading this you are getting advice from someone who has done a lot in his life. He has an ethical approach with integrity, has quite the friendly writing style that keeps you glued to your screen. This is very important in business nowadays. There is a little nice surprise just before the end which I thought was a true testament of the credibility and the heart this go-getter author has. All of the above has given me enough reasons to trust his credibility in turn which gave me the confidence to really digest the contents of the book thus getting a better understanding. (When you tend to trust the information you are reading, and have just solid faith in it, you tend to learn better, I know this for a fact and it came through with Will Coombe.) Who this book is not for ( My personal opinion ) 1. Let me make this easy for you, to save on your money. If you are the type of person who is looking for shortcuts ( This is not definitely..! Not for you. Though it is also great to skim through if you are wanting to get clarification on a certain topic.) 2. If you are the type of person who when faced with obstacles OR adversity OR when the going gets tough OR seems to duck in turbulent situations (Pun intended hah) and hides then this book is again not for you. If however you are this person and looking for a change, then there is no better place to start than here, SEO is an accessible tool and a learnable one. 3. If you are a thrifty spender when it comes to SEO and digital assets... and are in the mindset of viewing this book as an expense rather than an investment with the potential for a MASSIVE RETURN on that investment (Then that is right I'm going to say it again..) I think your money might be better spent elsewhere. Mind you it is a for a low price compared to the huge value you get in return for it, but once again if this is you! then definitely keep that money and better spend it elsewhere..! Whom I think this book is for : 1. For people who are dedicated and are looking for an improvement in their life. 2. For people who have a business small-medium and are interested in the SEO process. ( Will is an absolute professional.) 3. For starting affiliate marketers who want to make massive returns on their investment. ( Yes, please skip the other books with flashy titles.. Go with this one.) 4. For people who want to start an agency. 5. For those who are already in the game and are doing all right but are even more interested to take it to the next level and increase their market share. (Want to be more accessible to your customers? I highly recommend it. ) 6. For those looking debunk some common issues and myths around SEO I feel this book is an excellent choice for that also. 7. For those who are really on top of their SEO game and just basically are top-notch experts on the subject - but who are looking to get a different insight. It might be worth a read I think. All in all - I thought this book was a great read, Will Coombe has created a raging fan in me here for sure. This review is not biased in any way, shape, or form however it just depicts my true thoughts about this book. I have purchased a few SEO books both digitally and paperbacks, which I would of course not name here, for the purposes of not tarnishing them but I will say this book is the cream of the crop. The author has also made a good effort to connect with his readers. I was impressed with the writing style, felt like I was sitting down and having a coffee across from Will as he takes you through the process and explains the different parts. In the words of Jack welch "Innovation is not a big breakthrough invention every time. Innovation is a constant thing. But if you don't have an innovative company [team], coming to work every day to find a better way, you don't have a company[team]. You're getting ready to die on the vine. You're always looking for the next innovation, the next niche, the next product service improvement But always trying to get better. " I feel that Will is a living testament to this and is trying to impart this philosophy through his writing and his work. Thank you very much for reading my review, I hope it was helpful.

Not only is the book super helpful and informative for someone looking to learn more about the the nuts and bolts of SEO, but I reached out to the author asking him a question via e-mail, and he responded with a specially recorded YouTube video that he made JUST FOR ME where he talked about what he thought would be some of the best strategies for me to pursue. Who the f&*k does that?! Obviously I realize it might have been partially strategic on his part, taking advantage of the principle of reciprocity that you hear marketers like Robert Cialdini talk about, but hey, it sure as hell worked because here I am leaving a review! Good book if you want to learn more about SEO. Gives you specifics, also gives you big-picture concepts as well. I would recommend it.

I'm a new affiliate marketer, and I been looking up ways on how to do SEO for my new blog. Once I got wills 3 months to NO.1 I am so freaking excited to apply all I've learned from it. His clear an easy to understand and follow instructions are so to soak in thanks to wills teaching style. I am not in with the SEO lingo but will lays in out so easily, that anyone can understand SEO. Will thank you again for this amazing book and to my future success with my blog. I am a digital marketing veteran with 16 years of experience with companies listed in the london stock exchange. My background is mostly affiliate marketing, paid ads, less SEO. I have a general knowledge of SEO of course. In the last months, I started to dedicate my time to study and apply SEO. I can assure that most of all the "make money seo system" out there are thin air. I bought this book after an extensive research on the author first, then on the book itself. Worth every penny. I also appreciate that the author does not sell any product through affiliate links. The title is a bit aggressive, considering the fact that 3 months in top are possible for certain niches and in certain circumstances only. The book si good for experienced entrepreneurs and for new ones as well. I can say that in a scale from 1 to 10, my vote is 10. Will is very intelligent too. He understands that the most important thing when you want to build a brand, in this case he is building his own person brand, its relationship and communication with his readers in the long run. I asked few questions, he answered and answered sending me a 14 minutes video done for me. I appreciated it, he invested time in me, I am investing time in reviewing this book. Go buy 1, if you did not.

I bought Will Coombe's book because I am starting a business with a pretty new website, and I am looking to build up my SEO so that my website eventually appears on the first page of Google for my area. It was worth every dime, and then some. If you are interested in learning the ins and outs of this area of marketing, don't hesitate. Mr. Coombe writes in such a clear, conversational, easy-to-read manner, that it's almost like you're hanging out with an old friend who knows exactly what you need to know, and has an amazing sense of humor. He guides the reader through the benefits of SEO and all of the facets involved in improving the SEO of your website. As one who is completely new to this area, I can now say that I have a familiarity with what is needed for proper SEO for a website, and know exactly what I need to do to make it work. The book also gives you access to several videos that Mr. Coombe has put together to show the reader the various concepts illustrated throughout. The videos are extremely well done, and are so much more fun, entertaining, and useful than several pages of graphics, arrows, and how-to-instructions ever would be for such things. At the end of the book, Mr. Coombe brings it all together for the reader by providing a week-by-week, easy-to-follow guide for the reader to get their SEO going over the course of three months. The world needs more authors like Will Coombe, who can clearly see from the reader's perspective and explain a complicated topic in a clear, friendly, fun manner that keeps you engaged. As one who has been frustrated with many a "how to cook" book (I can't cook to save my life, mainly because no one ever taught me and every "cooking for beginners" book still assumes that you have some kind of minimum base knowledge, which...I don't...and technically beginners shouldn't have base knowledge...see what I'm getting at?), I can say that Will Coombe's book will take you step by step from knowing absolutely nothing about this topic, assuming that you are a true beginner. And if there is something he's about to go over that he thinks you might already know or could be incredibly obvious to some readers, he'll tell you in advance that he doesn't mean to insult your intelligence, and that you can skip it if needed - see how brilliant this man is? Not only helping the true beginner but saving precious time for the somewhat-savvy SEO aficionado by anticipating the needs of the many. I could easily write a small book on how great this book is, but I'll stop here. If you made it this far into this review, then you must be serious about SEO. So, don't hesitate. Buy the book. You'll be so happy you did.

This book is definitely the best guide to SEO I've read. The main difference between this guide and another that I read is that it gives both the technical tips along with the more complicated concept of "white hat" outreach that is necessary to build authority. Most people when they talk about SEO seem to be divided into only two camps; black hat (or grey), and white hat. White hats spend all of their time talking about scaling outreach to build the most high quality links but spend little time going into the more technical sides necessary for onsite SEO. Black hats focus on "tricking" Google through private networks that create "fake" links while also doing a lot of technical work on their site to look better to Google. What I liked about this book is that it gave clear, step-by-step instructions on how to do real proper on-site SEO from a "white hat" perspective from someone who does real work for big clients right now. On top of that it still gives the clear advice on outreach and networking that is necessary to build your site's authority in Google. It definitely combined the best of both worlds from an authority that I feel I can trust. I'm in the process of redesigning my business site next month and I'm going to be making a step-by-step checklist in Asana for implementing all of the steps in this book!

It is been a month since I've got this book. I love it. It is the fundemental to understand the world of SEO. The book removes the confusion people have about digital marketing and where should we start; Google ads, SEO.... The other great advantage of buying this book is the communication with author. Will is happy to answer your question or concern whenever his time permits. I highly recommend this investment for anyone who likes to really understand how SEO and digital marketing work.

This book is definitely good for the novice like me or the experienced person interested in learning how to use SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This book actually gives you more than you pay for plus it's an easy read. I found Will Coombe the author quite witty as well as informal and educational in a beneficial way! Not to mention I emailed the author a question I had about a chapter in the book and was surprised that not only did he respond the next day. He responded with an answer in a short YouTube video created just for me! All I can say is you won't regret this buy and you will definitely walk away with specific steps to turn into real actions to take your business to the next level...#1 in Google! Great Read!

This is by far the best book on SEO I have read so far. I purchased a few SEO books after trying to find decent information on SEO strategy from the Internet (but instead finding just a bunch of trash and teasers from people who want you to buy their services). I was skeptical about this book at first and didn't think I'd like it. The cover is flashy and very slick from a marketing perspective--which instantly makes me skeptical with all the shysters out there. It is also self-published, which to me screams scam. If it was a good book, why wouldn't a publisher pick it up? Often self-published books seem to just also be a tease where the final message is, "Hire my company." BUT-- I couldn't have been more wrong in my assumptions! This is a really good no-nonsense book like the cover says. I've been able to gleam some nuggets about what makes for good SEO from taking with many, many professionals trying to sell me their services of varying quality, and this book confirms what some of those good hints are. So I'm not coming into this cold--this book's information conforms to the things that I already know to be true. But it adds so much more that I did not know. Also, despite the flashy cover, the actual text is straightforward. He tells you what he knows, tells you what he (and everybody but Google engineers) doesn't know, and he actually gives you good information you can follow on your own. Its not just a tease for you to purchase any other services of his. I'd highly recommend this to someone who wants good information on SEO strategy.

Will took a nerdy, technical topic and broke it down into pieces and made it feel like a conversation more than an informative text. What I mean is that it was easy to read and understand what he was saying and how it applied. There are two additional things that set this book apart from any other I've read on any topic. 1) it comes with a link to videos that go through each of the topics he teaches on so it's that much easier to understand the material and see how it works. 2) Will makes himself available by email to his readers. I took him up on his offer and was able to get a response from him within a couple of days. He was very kind and helpful and that's ultimately what led me to taking the time to leaving this review. He deserves it.

I’ve read many SEO books and there is a lot of nonsense and false promises out there, but as the cover states, this book does neither of those things. It’s straightforward, relatable and gives you the knowledge to take immediate action to improve your SEO. There is no one magic trick to SEO, it’s a lot of little things that together make a big difference and Will tells you exactly this and what the little things are. I also received answers to my questions directly from Will himself in the form of a private YouTube video. Impressive! Just get it and read and you’ll be glad you did!!

This book is full of solid training and will help you every inch of the way! Comes with full access to video training at no extra cost. The videos are well done and spot on. Great writing and accurate informatiion. Grab this now while you can.

I followed Will's recommendations and I have seen my business move from the 2nd and 3rd pages to an average ranking of 2 for all of my keywords and I did all of this in a few weeks. My book is no dog-eared and I refer to it daily. I have recommended the book to friends who have a website as well as anyone that will listen. You will love this book if you have a website and you know the importance of quality SEO. Plus, Will actually will send you an email and respond to you, which is great and fantastic from an author! I've been an "SEO hack" for a number of years now, in order to get traffic and customers for my coaching business. I say "hack" b/c I've only learned through articles and books. Thus, I always felt like my strategy was incomplete and there was a ton I didn't know. Will Coombe's book has turned that around for me! The book is easy to read, covers all the details and has a solid flow. Will's sense of humor makes it enjoyable and I feel empowered using this book. The book has a rare balance of satisfying my desire for the nitty-gritty details while speaking to me in a language that immediately makes sense w/o overwhelming me. I have a new website in the works and I feel Will's strategy will be responsible for $100k within a couple of years, at minimum. I'm not able to say this is the best SEO book out there but I feel confident that I have a single source that will cover 98% of what I need. One of the big difference makers is that you also get access to his video library where he goes deeper to explain more. For example, I was new to the concept of creating silos. Re-reading the book, looking at the examples and watching his deep-dive video explained it and solidified my course of action. I think you'll find many examples of that in this book. This is a no-brainer investment!

First, let me say that if you stumbled across this book on Kindle Unlimited as I did, BUY THE PAPERBACK! I would’ve done so regardless, but you’ll get access to Will’s video tutorials which are extremely helpful. The book itself is very well written - Will is able to take a topic that is far from riveting and make it interesting and easy to understand. His writing style is colorful and humorous - I laughed out loud several times, something I’ve never, ever done while reading a business related book. I loved it - it’s my favorite, by far, in both style and content! :) If you consider SEO a subject that seems like a tedious, extensive undertaking, fear no more. In the first few chapters, Will explains exactly what Search Engine Optimization is and why it is so unbelievably important, then he breaks it down in a way that even someone with zero experience in SEO can quickly learn and master. As soon as I began reading this book, I realized that virtually all of my assumptions about SEO were wrong. To use a quote from Chapter 3, albeit a bit differently, “I didn’t know what I didn’t know.” Specifically, instead of placing SEO at the end of my list of priorities, it should have been at the top - if I’d had this book when I started my company, it would have saved me a SIGNIFICANT amount of both time and money! Fortunately, I was at least familiar with all of the SEO elements Will thoroughly breaks down in the book and he’s right - they will increase your ranking. As with anything, however, you’re only going to get out of it what you put into it. It reminds me of working out - if you’re patient and diligent, you will eventually get the results you want. If you go to the gym sporadically for a few weeks and then quit, however, you’ll waste your time and look exactly the same. In short, you can get to number one on Google (or very close to it) if you apply Will’s method correctly and stick with it, something he repeatedly stresses in the book. I can’t thank Will enough for sharing his experience and expertise. It is obvious that he loves what he does and truly wants to help others succeed. This is reflected not only in his book and on his website, but in his personal approach. I emailed him with a question and not only did he respond right away, he followed up several more times. This level of commitment and dedication goes far beyond simply selling a book - it’s clearly a personal ethos. I look forward to writing an update in a few weeks to share my amazing progress. And I literally can’t stress this enough...BUY THIS BOOK!!! :)

When I first read this book, many things landed in my head but it was not until the second time I read it that I could comprehend many things. Yes, yes the book is very well written, very well explained, concepts are easy but reading and doing are a whole different things. I vagued in many sites, different costly courses, and in the end... I came back to where I started. Stop wandering and read it first before you waste your time and money. No useful and worth information is free online. Why would they share it for free? In the first pages, Will said you could email him. I took the chance and he replied me back! This is an honest book from a great person that will make you a better SEO.

A quick background: I've never really worked with SEO before. So, when it came time to design my website, I had very little traffic and absolutely no conversions. Since I hate reading, I turned to blogs that claimed if I followed their tips, I could have a website that ranked number one in google in a VERY short amount of time. These websites did little to nothing to help me. So, like anyone with something to buy does, I went to amazon to search for an SEO book that would make me an expert. Before reading this, I had gone through about three other books (all of which were hard to understand and either provided too much detail or not enough). Even though I hate reading, I found that Mr. Coombe was able to write about SEO in a unique way (one that is full of great examples and humor). Naturally, I was able to actually remember what I'd just read and implement it on my website. The price for this book is NOTHING compared to what you get in return. Allow me to highlight a few of the perks you receive by purchasing this book: 1. You are given access to a series of well thought out videos that are short, yet detailed. They range from the perfect URLs to keyword research. If you are a visual learner like me, they are a ton of help! 2. You are given a FREE trial to SEMRush, a very valuable tool that cost $99.95 per month. 3. Perhaps the most impressive perk that comes with purchasing this book is that the author, Will Coombe, is eager to help you with any questions you have. About a week after buying the book and signing up for his online video series (which comes with the book for free), he sent an email to me asking if I had any questions. I sent him a question, thinking I would receive a generic response linking me to an article. What I got instead was a detailed video response he recorded exclusively for me. This act alone makes it clear that not only can Will write a great book, but he stands behind his product and is very willing to provide quality help! 4. He includes a 3 Months to No.1 blueprint that is outlines a weekly plan. It goes in-depth into what you should accomplish and includes references to videos should you get lost. Of course, there are many other perks I didn't highlight, but there are just so many that it's hard to cover all of them in a short review. The bottom line: This book is worth the price and I look forward to purchasing Will's next book. I will update this review in 6 months’ time with my results.

I was astonished at the amount of useful information in 3 MONTHS TO NO. 1. Author Will Coombe really knows his stuff when it comes to search-engine optimization (SEO), and his book is an excellent crash course on the topic - so much so that I found myself taking voluminous notes as I read it, in order to make sure I didn't forget any of the most important points. He makes a complex topic understandable even to those who don't have a technological background. Anyone interested in SEO would do well to start with 3 MONTHS TO NO. 1. I'm glad I did.

I have downloaded and read many books on SEO and this is hands down one of the best if not the best book on SEO. Will takes you through the journey of SEO not only as a teacher but also a friend. Many SEO books can be boring to read but this book is like reading a mystery novel which slowly uncovers the clues to solve the SEO mystery which makes it very interesting. Once you buy the book you also get access to the videos which are very good and Will explains the SEO fundamentals in a clear and precise manner. If anyone is planning to start SEO or would like to brush up their skills, I would highly recommend Will's book. If you would like to be number one in search engines, this is the book to read.

I've read several books about SEO, from the basics to the more advanced stuff. And yet, after all that I've read I can honestly say that Will Coombe's "3 Months To No. 1" is BY FAR the best content available. Anywhere. Seriously. Will walked me through a the ENTIRE SEO process. Rather than being overwhelming, which it certainly can be, I was educated. If you are the least bit interested in clawing up the Google ladder, or if you merely want to know what SEO is all about you must read Will's book. I am certain there are others out there with knowledge in the field but I feel Will was speaking to me and providing me with valuable information I could use on my own or have in my arsenal if I want to engage an SEO consultant. I've been investing in my SEO skills for years....I've read some of the biggest books on the market, I can advise exactly 3 of these books. Will Coombe's book is one of those 3 books. Like a lot of books, Will covers the theory (I say theory because most of what we know about SEO are educated guesses)..but he takes it a step further by walking you through real-world examples as he builds out a blueprint for Google Placement Success. He also dives into some great strategies for off-page optimization and it's clear that Will knows his craft and is dedicated to giving you his best plans. It doesn't hurt that Will is also willing to answer questions directly....he packs a lot of value. One of the best ways I've spent 20 bucks this year!

Ranking high on google is not an easy task. And it also depends on what you are pushing. A highly competitive product (for instance new Flashlight innovation) will be very difficult to gain ranking. There are millions of different flashlights right? Keep this in mind about why your own hypothetical "Flashlight" is better. Regardless, reading through Will's book gave me some very great insights for my own rankings. To my surprise, I now rank first and second page for my solar tracker product. It is important that you continue to cultivate your site like a garden. Eventually it will produce the results you are aiming for if you follow through. The most difficult part for me is refining my niche and it still continues. What is your niche? Find it and thoroughly convince it to the crowd!

Wow! Blown away. I started reading this book, new to SEO. (Background I am launching a new, niche product and wanted to figure out how to SEO my business.) This book is FULL of excellent, easy to digest informetion. I quickly learned, thanks to reading his book, SEO wasn't for everyone. (And I love he doesn't try to sell this as a one-size-fits all solution). Upon watching his very informative video tutorials that are apart of the book and doing some google serach exercises, I was concerned if SEO was right for me. I reached out to him, as he offers in the book, half expecting a generic response, however I was wrong, it couldn't have been more personalized in informative! He gave me a full-on personalized video response to my website and questions, with no prompt to use his services, just free of charge. He REALLY knows his stuff, and REALLY does care about all our success. And with all that being said, I still want to learn more about SEO for passive ways to earn money and help others succeed in their business. You will learn alot from this book and have WIll as an amazing resource, totally worth it!

I own a home inspection business and bought this book to further my knowledge of SEO, and to see if SEO could increase incoming calls. In chapter 3 or 4, the author states that some types of businesses might not benefit as greatly as others from SEO and lists a few. He also published his email in the chapter with an invitation to contact him if the reader is unsure whether or not their business is one of these, so I did. I figured I'd wait a few weeks for a reply, get frustrated, and forget about it. Well, much to my surprise Will actually responded in less than 12 hours, AND included a video response to better explain his perspective! His response matched my gut feeling, and put words to it. I have new clarity not just from his response, but from his writings as well. I'd recommend this book to anyone who might be wondering about SEO, or is determined to be at the top of a search result. I don't usually think about after-sale-service when I buy books, but now I do! Excellent product.

Well - I've come this far. I guess all that's left is the shouting. As much as I want to buy up all the copies and not let anyone else read this book, you can buy it on Kindle. So...plan foiled. I am new to the world of SEO and website design but I can already see this book and it's action plan being a game changer. Most people thing Google results and believe if you have certain words on your website, and people search for those words, it will pop up in Google. Right? Nah dawg...but good try. This book goes behind the curtains and helps you get a visual for what it takes to be a pretty princess in the eyes of Google and bring your websites to the top. It provides you with all the tips, tricks, video explanations, website references, and pretty much does everything but the hard work. It is a great guide and reference if you are able to put practice into play. It also doesn't hurt that the author sprinkles in little sidebar comments and random reference that had me laughing while reading about what many would consider a very nerdy subject (sorry Will, but it's true). Long story short, I will be using this book a very helpful tool going forward and hope the $15 I paid for it will come back to me in surplus from all the lessons put into play.

Being a novice to seo, I found this book very helpful, easy to understand (text and videos) and it provided an exact outline to make updating our website a manageable endeavor. Also sent in a couple of questions through email and got a quick and helpful response back. One caveat to include, we made our website ourselves through squarespace, so I was more familiar than the average person (maybe) about making some of the internal changes that we needed to improve seo.

I have a startup in Greece in a niche market with 5 major competitors and 4 keywords . I paid a company to do the seo for my site. They said I had to be patient and that SEO needs time. I was busy running my company and I was patient. A year passed and I used an online tool to find out that my site wasnt even in the first 100 pages of Google for my no1 keyword. I stopped them immediately and order this book so I know what to ask the next company that I will hire. I read it, I understood it and to my pleasant surprise I realized that I didnt have immediately to hire a new company. There were a lot of things that my team and I could do or with the help of a freelancer. And we did, we are am in week 4 of implementing the blueprint plan and my company's site managed already to reach google's page 3 from 100+!!! The author also responds to emails and solves questions within a day. Kind and professional. I hope soon I can afford his company! This book really works. Highly recommended.

This book is a good read for anyone deciding whether they should do their own SEO. Even if you already have experience with SEO, this book has some good tips that you may not have already known. This will give you good insight to help you decide whether it is worth taking on SEO in house, or hiring an outside firm. Even if you do decide to hire an outside firm, this book shows you some simple ways you can immediately apply to begin improving your SEO.

I owe a lot to this book. I learned so much from it and the customer service from Will is simply amazing. The book and materials that come along with it give you everything you need to know about SEO and it is easy to understand. I had a question and reached out to Will. Very shallow for a book.

The biggest threat in todays world is the overload of information we get, the tremendous noise, specificaly on a complex subject such as SEO. Before I bought Will's book, I was overwhelmed on information on the topic, confused and dissapointed. I tried seminars via Udemy, private teachers and so on. By reading 3 months to No 1, everything was clearly explained to me and I understood deeply what I need to do to become a master in SEO. After you dig deep on the book and start applying what you learn, you create the basis for you to dig deeper and learn more, it kickstarts you on a new undiscovered territory. Excellent book, Excellent!!!

Not only an SEO manual, but an explanation of Google's world view. I purchased the paperback version because I didn't want to be switching browsers back and forth, to do the work. In the early chapters, I realized that SEO may be the single most important skill a business can wield. Either in-house, or outsourced. But, if you intend to outsource, read this book and have an understanding of what's involved. This book makes a priestly subject understandable.

From the very first chapter it is clear the author knows "how" and he has done a magnificent job of teaching the readers. The video links set forth in the book are invaluable. While I still have much to read and reread, I am convinced I will achieve my goals. Will Coombe's book, 3 Months to NO.1 is a great playbook for better understanding SEO and putting it to use in any professional endeavor. I was tasked with pursuing SEO for my company as my #1 target goal for 2020 and needed an in-depth look at the intricacies of SEO. What I enjoyed most was Will's love of SEO and its ever-changing landscape. He is intelligent but not cocky; funny but not goofy. A quick and painless read.

I love the book so far--seriously. I've wanted to understand SEO, its relationship to Google organic searches and AdWords, and how to monetize my writing for a long time. First, I'd like to say that this book is written in a way that is very easy to understand. I'm relatively new to SEO, so the laymans term approach to this book has helped to de-mystify the concepts. Although I absolutely dread this subject, I know that it must be mastered if you want an Internet presence. Will’s comprehensive book (and entertaining writing style) helped me understand exactly what I needed to know before I outsource the SEO work (I’m simply not willing to put in the time). I liked the book because I learned a lot and it was easy to read with updated information as Google keeps changing. I received an email from Mr. Coombe asking if I had any questions which I was very impressed. Covid killed my business so trying to rebuild. Spoke with a few SEO professionals and they wanted $500 a month for a minimum of 6 months which actually is standard but can't afford those services right now so decided to buy this book based on the Amazon reviews. It was very easy to understand and gave me great tips to help my current website increase its ranking. The author even made me a personal 8 min video regarding my business and insight on what else I can be doing. This book is a slam dunk and if you are trying to be on the first page of a search, seriously, spend the money and buy it. SO GLAD I DID!!!!

This is more than an ebook. It ties in tightly with the author's website and presents a multimedia teaching approach. Mr. Coombe holds nothing back. A generous author willing to pay it forward in helping his readers. His approach is common sense, making clear that successful SEO is based on persistence and doing a combination of small things well over time. No magic bullets: just a detailed, proven, well-thought-out strategy that has worked very well for him.

The book is amazingly easy to get through considering the topic. The author is funny and informative all at the same time, has awesome links inside the book to videos that further explain his point, and gives some amazing resource tools that can be used to up your SEO game. I personally don’t have a website, I was looking for SEO advice more for my POD shops but the e-commerce section was helpful in some ways with this. If you have a website or a blog this is a great book to have!

Really easy to read and great flow that keeps you engaged. When he went into writing a blog post that keeps your reader engaged, you could tell he applied the same practice to the book. Has great detail into things that were foreign to me. Makes it very clear that this is hard work and doesn’t sugarcoat it which is great. I can’t speak to the results yet, but have a feeling it will work out once I apply it.

I cannot read the unreadably small type. It just is so small as to be uncomfortably hard to concentrate on content. Cannot reccommend the likely terrific content . . . hidden in miniature.

I bought this book on Christmas day, and I gave myself the best present. I am not a native speaker, so to start with, the language used is simple and understandable, without heavy technical jargon, so I highly recommend it to non native speakers. I've tried reading SEO guide books in the past and they have either been difficult to follow along with or not descriptive enough. 3 Months to No.1 has been quite the opposite. It's informative and descriptive in a way that allowed me to easily begin implementing strategies and actually understand why these strategies are important. When I bought this book, I had never heard or read the term SEO. I was looking for a book to teach myself online marketing. What I found was a fascinating and informative book on how to make your mark on Google. I was so intrigued that I went through 14 chapters in a just a couple of days. At that point, I got a little bogged down in the technical terms, since I am a 60 year old newby to the subject. However, the videos connected with the book immediately cleared up my questions and gave me great insight on the subject. I purchased this book few weeks ago and I am almost through with reading it, I am usually a slow reader who takes his time but with this book I found myself glued to it. A really concise book and to the point. I like how the chapters are easy to follow with links to tools and websites that you can utilize on the Internet. All what you need is to read this book and follow the steps/recommendations and you will start noticing improvement on your website in short time. I have a different experience with this author/book that I haven't seen with other books I purchased from Amazon before which is basically a welcome email that I received from the author. You can also email the author with any question you have and he will get back to you. He answered my question that I emailed by sending me a recorded video specific to me with an answer to my question, I found this really to be highly professional. If you really want to have a simple and effective way to learn SEO and apply it immediately to your website, turn to this book.

From the first page I've read on this book, up until Chapter 10, Will Coombe is one of those writers who just knows how to connect with his audience, all while staying humble on his journey he shares. So far, I am hooked. Over the past year I've tackled SEO articles in hope of getting a clear and concise explanation from the writer, but haven't had any "feel good" feelings towards the read. I'm currently reading this book and I wanted to give my 5 cents. This book opened my mind in several aspects of SEO. I discovered that I was doing several things wrong and I'm fixing them. One interesting thing is that for example a site was ranked first in Google for a given keyword that also my site use and reading this book I discovered exactly why and I'm doing the needed modifications to rank my site better. One idea that I read in this book and It was like an "Aha! moment" was that SEO is not about finding a silver bullet or trick to rank better on Google, instead a good SEO strategy is doing all the small things that are holding your site back. I bought this book and it had some great gold nuggets in it. I use it as a base guideline constantly in how I write and I have recommended it to a ton of people due to its easy to read and apply. There is a ton of books out there that send you on information overload. This is not that at all. The best part is the author even replied to a question we had after reading the book by video. Ive read several books on SEO, I've also attended courses, and seminars, and to be frank, I just didn't understand it, so buying this book was my last ditch attempt. And finally the penny has dropped. The way the author explains it, is so easy to understand, and the videos are amazing, sometimes i find im switching off listening and watching videos, but not this time, even the authors voice is a voice that you can listen too, without getting frustrated, and he makes it just so easy to understand. I have moderate experience with SEO and studied marketing in grad school. This book is phenomenal! It gives you a great background on if and when you should be doing SEO and then goes in depth for all aspects of SEO. I highly recommend for anyone with little to moderate SEO understanding. I suspect it is good for experts too.

This book is well written and practical. I have learned so much in a very short time. Having the online video tutorials is a fantastic supplement to the material. Anyone with a simple understanding of the web can easily benefit from the SEO strategies. Awesome!

As a complete SEO beginner, I feel like this book has given me the tools necessary to build my websites with confidence. Will lays out the complete SEO strategy in a step by step format that is easy to read, and his British wit keeps the subject matter digestible and fun to read. His writing gives life and flavor to what is usually a dry topic, and I have already found myself re-reading chapters so the lessons really sink in. The online videos and other assets from his website are a fantastic resource as well, and even though I don't normally write book reviews I felt compelled to share my experience with potential readers.

This review is way overdue but it’s better later than never. This is an amazing book. Very easy to understand and with practical steps on how to handle the SEO for your business. Up to this point SEO was like a nagging monster living under my bed. With the help of this book I was able to get it out, take a look at it and have an action plan on how deal with it. Phew! What a relief. I also reached out to Will with a question and he responded! Even my kids were amazed that the “real guy from the U.K.” wrote me back. Great book with real support from the author. Im only halfway through, but this book is very well written and you can tell the author took his time and knows his stuff. Not a book made to sell a book, but a thorough and in-depth look at SEO with real professional information.

I found this book in my search to gain knowledge about SEO and e-commerce. It is loaded with tips and tricks in a practical down-to-earth understandable way. It is rewarding to see a book on a flashy subject such as digital business that doesn't sell a silver bullet to getting rich in a week, but instead focuses in common sense and experience to guide you through a process of continuing improvement.

Really happy that I bought this book. I am not tech savvy in the least, but the ease of this book helped me understand what I need to do to help my site grow. The author Will really does care about his reader. I emailed him a question, and true to his word he responded to my question and went well beyond a simple answer. He dissected my issue and gave me helpful suggestions to improve not only my traffic but also how to improve my site. This book really is an essential tool in DIY web traffic. I have countless notes in the margins to go back to.

I bought this book to refresh my working knowledge of best SEO practices, and discovered a lot more detail and insight that I've been missing. I have a new role with a great company, and Will's book has helped me get my game plan together for optimizing a very robust ecommerce site. The most refreshing part of "3 Months to No. 1" is the writing style. Yes, it's packed with great information that's easy to digest (and implement) - but it's also funny and engaging. This helps tremendously in spicing-up what could be relatively mundane subject matter.

Excellent book. Wills writing style is great. He boils SEO down to something simple to understand and digest for non technical business owners or programmers alike. Supporting videos are excellent for the DIY types, he walks you through every step. The book and videos contain everything you need to tackle SEO on your own. If you are a business owner and are going to hire out your SEO I highly recommend reading Will's book first. It will educate you just enough to weed through the SEO spammers and find and manage a good consulting company.

I loved this book. I knew SEO as a concept but did not understand what needs to be done to get highly ranked in Google. This book just had the right level of details, along with actionable next steps. The book also comes with recommendations for SEO tool, which will make your website look like a star on Google.

Keyword is: an understandable approach to SEO with a great amount of support. I can't say enough good things about this book and it's author. He gives you the background as to the importance of SEO and then a strategy (blueprint) that should work. I am beginning to implement the blueprint. It makes a lot of sense to me and I am looking forward to a successful implementation of SEO for our non-profit website. Amazing book. I'm still working to implement the plan, but I can tell that this book is built off of sustainable SEO tactics. There are no shortcuts, and Will does a great job of outlining it, while showing you a plan that will get you to the top of the search results. Thanks to Will Coombe for writing this really accessible book on implementing SEO. Joie de Vin (joiedevin.com) is a new-ish website for helping enthusiasts learn more about wine. Our web developer was going to charge us $2,500 per month to implement and maintain SEO for our site. Instead, I purchased this book and have been implementing the very practical guidance. I am crossing my fingers (and toes) that we start to see the benefits immediately! This is a must read for anyone starting an online business.

I am learning a lot everyday from this powerful book. Laid out nice and even provides video links on the topics in the book. I'm a newbie with most of the language spoken about in the book, but it has given me a wealth of knowledge. I am a high level experienced web developer at the national SEO and SEM. This author shows you exactly what you should be paying attention to in 2020, and takes you through each part of SEO in the most relevant way. He treats the book as if he is writing an optimized web page, the content length is perfect, and makes me want to stay on the page. There is also a corresponding video series that breaks it down by chapter and focus. I would highly recommend reading Will's book. I added this to my SEO 2020 list and it has been my favorite comprehensive guide so far

First off the book is amazing. I knew nothing about SEO prior to reading this book and now I can hold my own in any SEO conversation. The best part about this book is how actionable each step is. The rhetoric is light, fun and easily read. Secondly, he says in his book to email him with any questions... yeah BS right? Absolutely not! I wholeheartedly recommend Will Combs book 3 Months To No.1. I’m a novice in the world of SEO and Will’s book gave me the confidence that I can take control of my own SEO. He writes at a level that makes it easy to understand and implement the process. There’s plenty of explanation on how and why SEO works in the book along with a library of videos that demonstrates how to make your site Google friendly. He also offers you different starting positions in the book if you are at a different level or have SEO knowledge. He gives great examples, has video tutorials, and even throws in his British humor! : ) Definitely recommend!

I’ve quite a few SEO books and taken a few udemy courses on the subject. None came any where close to this book. It cuts to the chase and gives you the most straight forward information relevant to SEO, plus it gives you actionable an blueprint that you can implement from week1 to week 12. I dont like reading from the internet browser because there are too many distracting ads and links that takes you to websites only to find out they are trying to sell you something! This book is very informative and I am still reading a learning the in's and out's of SEO. I enjoy the audio/visual session available online as well as the weekly step by step guide in the back of the book (or you can print out). I was so surprised that Will Coombe personally answered a specific SEO question I had for my small business. I am excited to implement all of the principals and tools provided. It is also great to go back and review the online teaching videos at anytime.

I considered myself having above average knowledge of SEO in general. I purchased this book to help myself stay abreast of the lastest in SEO as well as to help tune our company website so more of our content ranks higher in google. The book was very informative. Will breaks down the various SEO components in very understandable terms. There are also video links within the chapters to examples. This is a great read for anyone interested in SEO, regardless of your SEO knowledge.

Read some SEO books before this one and could not quite grasp the principles. Two reads and two viewings of the videos and the veils are coming off. For me the videos are the key. I even caught myself analyzing some of my daily Google searches without thinking. I am amazed at my understanding after ONLY two hours of study!!

The author is available by email for any questions that you might have, which is totally awesome. This book indeed is useful. I like it. My copy is full of highlights, dog-eared pages, and post it notes. I think this book gets past the smoke and mirrors that surround the SEO world. Google isn't nearly as complicated to me after reading this book. SEO is work, plain and simple.

Will does a great job introducing the basic concepts of SEO. He explains each concept in its technical terms, uses a real-world example for us laymen, then gives clear action steps on how to implement each concept. His 12-week blueprint give a good timeline of when to do what. He is also realistic in that not every industry will rank in 3 months so he is clear that he is not selling a magic bullet. I loved this book and highly recommend it!

I just started my own online business and website. After about a month of largely zero traffic and zero customers I decided to educate myself about SEO. I enjoyed how some topics, which appear simple on the surface, we're deconstructed to truly understand the core concept. Throughout the book a ton of content was covered so it was great to have the project plan at the end with callbacks to each section as a reminder. I just started to apply these techniques but have already started to see results. Would recommend to anyone just starting out.

What I really like about Will's book is the relevance of the information he provides. When cross-checking with other SEO specialists, what he writes points to the same resources, ie: Semrush etc..... Also, a very strong point, are the video tutorials as added bonus. They make a BIG difference. I can't recommend highly enough Will's work. I always knew I had to put my SEO in check, from the first time I opened my online store, but I never really knew where to start. This book explained step by step how SEO works and practical ways and tools I needed to improve my own SEO. I have to admit that I really wasn't enthused about reading this book. The author asked me to consider reading and reviewing it and I appreciated his approach and decided to do so. Despite the offer of a free e-book, I purchased the book from Amazon. Mr Coombe's takes a conversational approach to a potentially difficult topic. I have paid firms to do several of the steps he described in this book so from a credibility perspective he appears to be an expert and sets himself up well to write with authority on this topic. I don't relish the time required to build all this SEO stuff into my company site but do clearly see the value in doing so. Coombe's book provides a clear explanation on a number of complicated topics. His ability to convey difficult terms and ideas simply and understandably is commendable. I do believe that if you are thinking about a web based business or a business that has a web site, you should read this book.
