2020 National Park Foundation Wall Calendar

Poorly laid out calender if you plan to write appointments on the days.... Most of the calendar is filled with useless trivia for each day leaving you no space to write in your own stuff. If you just want a calender to look at but not actually write anything in it might be okay. Why full each day of the week with pointless facts?

Darn, I hate to be the lone dissenter, but I was disappointed in the pictures. Not in the photography exactly - the scenes are awesome - but in the way the photos were edited. In my copy some of the pictures look like they were taken just a little too far in Photoshop (specifically July, October, November, and to some extent May). Some colors are unnatural, which is what bothers me most.. I won't order this one again, but since I added all the birthdays to this one already, I'll keep it. Hoping I just got a bad print and the others are better.

The calendar itself is nice, but the printing and photos are of questionable quality. The color balance and color temperature is off on every photo, and over saturated. The cover photo is in fact is blue-greenish and way over saturated. I couldn't find one photo that had black blacks, or white whites. The blacks are purplish, bluish or greenish. Besides that, the tonal resolution is poor, blown out dark and light areas (these are areas with zero detail), and too much contrast. Honestly the printing isn't even the quality of ads I get in my mailbox, and nothing close to what you would see in a national geographic magazine, or something similar. The last page of the calendar says all the photos are stock, from places like Getty images. All they did is download stock images, and put them into a calendar template. No photographer credit, no date of when the photos were taken. The calendar is of stapled together construction, with coated heavy weight paper. Has 12 months. Made in China. I rate two stars, because the calendar is cheap in price, has a nice calendar grid with all the holidays, and it's for the national park foundation. It's too bad they couldn't do a first class job.

I bought this calendar to put up at my office and I'm very happy with it. This calendar has gorgeous photos from different national parks. I've read some reviews commenting the photos are digitally enhanced too much, but I'm not bothered by it. Another review commented there isn't enough room to write down information because of the factoids and additional photo included for each month. I have a separate planner that I use for detail information and for appointments and have been in the habit for the last couple of years of just highlighting the date on my wall calendar as a reminder-at-a-glance that I have something going that do, so the amount of space provided is enough for me. I'm also enjoying the little bits of info that have been added to the calendar. A third review commented about the construction quality of the calendar. Again, I think this is a pretty adequate calendar. It's not falling apart at the binding, so it's fine with me. I know this calendar is for fundraising for the National Park Foundation, so I understand there's a fine line between balancing the quality of the product & price of the product and raising enough proceeds to justify doing the fundraiser (I'm looking at you, my nephew's school who decided to sell Yankee Candles for $50 a pop!). I'm happy with the amount of money I spent for the calendar and appreciate what I'm getting in exchange. I plan on buying again next year.

Beautiful pictures and big squares for the dates, busy family with lots of things to write so love it has space for that

I don't really use calendars so I bought this for the amazing photos. I am selling my house and needed something to depersonalize the decor. I bought this to put in my picture frames. The final result is fantastic. Will post photos.

Warning! This calendar is defective! Unfortunately, I did not realize until after the return window closed and I cannot return it. It has two Aprils, Mays, and Junes. No, January, February, or March. The few months it has are all out of order. The National Parks are mislabeled! I buy the same calendar at the Kiosk at the mall at the end of year. I thought I was being efficient by buying it early online. Obviously, this is a copy and they put it together wrong. A total waste. Went in the recycle bin today and I had to buy a new one at the Mall.

I was hoping to keep this calendar for several years, however, someone set our calendar system up so that the days of the week for a given calendar date change every year. Why did we do that? Now we have to buy a calendar year after year. It doesn't stop. Seriously, the pictures are beautiful. I buy this calendar every year and my wife and I really enjoy it. We love the national parks.

This is a nice calendar without a metal spiral in case you want to send it to someone who is incarcerated and metal is a no no. I add this information because it's something that would be useful to me.

I had hoped my austere cubical would benefit from a nice calendar with outdoor photos. Instead, I feel like a coworker stuck some national park photos in my cube without asking my permission. Sadly, I already started writing in this and won't return it. Instead, it is headed to the recycle bin while I shop for something better. Now lest you think I'm being overly critical (or that I'm some kind of uber photograph), I'm *not the one* selling my photos commercially. That's a bold move.

Since this calendar was a "National Park Foundation" calendar I really thought this would be a high-quality calendar with the best photos. I was disappointed to find the quality of the pages was a bit lower than what I would typically buy - a little thinner, not as glossy. The photos themselves were just okay as well..again, they didn't measure up to the quality I would look for when purchasing a calendar in person.

This is a great calendar, with beautifly pictures of national parks, but it is missing the mini-calendars on the side. You know, the one that give you a quick glance of the previous or preceding months? That is something I took for granted on all of my other wall calendars, I didn't even know I needed to specifically look for it.

Although the photos are beautiful, the calendar itself is completely useless. The paper quality is so poor that one is not able to use any kind of pen or pencil to write on the dates. The only thing that works for short bursts is a sharpie. I'm putting this thing in the recycle bin today. It's a shame they couldn't get this one right because I am a huge fan of our beautiful national parks.

This calendar with beautiful photos opens into a 24-inch (top to bottom) calendar on the wall. If that's your preference go for it. Each square on a page is large enough to write on but the column headings (days of the week) are printed in faint black ink and thus not legible from a distance.

I love the pictures of the National Parks, but besides the main picture, there are other small pictures and information about National Parks. The main thing I was looking for was something pretty to hang up and enjoy, but also large open squares so my family can write down appointments, birthday reminders, etc. It did just that.

It's a wall calendar and it has very nice photos. That's the main purpose of a calendar. My biggest peeve, which keeps me from giving it 5 stars, is that the calendar lacks the previous and next month on the grid. So it requires turning the page to the next month to determine dates beyond the current month. That makes scheduling more difficult than it needs to be, at least for this old boomer.

I love these calendars; I have beauty in my office during the workday, plus I get to learn more about all the myrad different parks we have, and I get to support the parks, and it helps me plan trips I want to take! Oh, and it's a clear and useful calendar, big enough to read even when glancing at it from across the room.

I’m all set for 2019! I still use a wall calendar, not just a phone. So glad I could fill it in NOT DURING THE HOLIDAYS!

The pics are pretty & the write in spaces are big. But, if you write hard on a square in one month you can see it on the next month. After paying this much for the calendar I didn't expect this to happen. I bought one at the dollar store $1 and this happens. Disappointed. Paper is too thin. Won't buy again. Will buy locally where I can feel the paper thickness.

I did a search asking for calendars that are printed in the USA. This one came up on the list. I looked through the description several times noting that the place it was printed was not listed. I took a chance and ordered it anyway as part of the proceeds goes to the foundation. My gamble was wrong printed in China. I won't be getting another calendar from them. Surely there is a printing company in this country that can do the job for them.

In 2014, I waited until the end of the previous year to order our calendar from Amazon. Mistake number 1 as the choices were limited and the one I received wasn't what I wanted as opposed to what was available. This year I've ordered early, and this 2016 calendar is a success! A fair price for a decent product with great pictures, space to write a reasonable amount of appointments, and printed on paper that is heavy enough not to tear while hanging on your wall. I would recommend this to a friend, qualifying that though not an "art" calendar, it is a worthwhile product that reflects it's price.

Beautiful photos on big calendar. Can look at that month's photo every morning during breakfast and mentally go there. Has been a great boost during the pandemic!

Beautiful pictures, but the actual calendar was put together wrong..... Mine started at April, went through September and then repeated the same months again..... hopefully it was just a fluke, but be forewarned.

Nice calendar and beautiful pictures! Daily blocks are 1 5/8” w. by 1 7/8”, good for writing a brief note. Does not include the previous or next month on each page but not a gamechanger - a very nice calendar for my wall!

My husband and I just wanted a wall calendar to hang in our office for, you know, checking the dates and such. We don't write on it much - it's just a reference. This is well made with beautiful photos. I would absolutely recommend.

As it appears-beautiful scenery. opened wrapping to use calendar!!! The calendar Starts with April,May,June and jumped to April through September-no October,November,December (TOTALLY USELESS!!!!!!!!

I bought this calendar because the photos looked gorgeous and the squares looked large enough to hold a lot of writing. But when I actually flipped through it, I realized that many of the spaces are half taken up with National Park info and trivia. Also, the paper is so glossy that normal pens and pencils don't show up on it. Will be looking for another calendar, unfortunately.

The pictures are nice, but in the description the location is not given. E.g., nowhere does it mention that Crater Lake (the January pic) is in Oregon! Also, there is no previous month mini calendar on each page, which I rely on. It's really more of a nice wall decoration.

Love supporting the National Parks and this calendar does not disappoint. We use wall calendar for practical purposes, like writing appointments and keeping track of bill due dates, etc. This calendar fine for those needs, the photos are great, the price was reasonable and a portion goes towards the National Parks.

Didn't like this calender at all. It somehow manages to make the national parks look incredibly boring. Maybe if enough of them are sold, it will prevent the parks from becoming overcrowded.

When I was looking for a 2021 calendar, this was the top one to come up and I'm so glad I purchased it! This is a beautiful calendar and I love that it supports the National Park Foundation!

Look forward to turning the page each month because the pictures are so beautiful. Good size date squares to write appointments on if necessary. Sturdy paper that does not tear easily.

The calendar itself is fantastic, the pictures are beautiful! Unfortunately, it was shipped in a plastic envelope so it arrived completely bent up. Why not ship in a cardboard envelope? Or with "Do not bend" written on it?

The calendar days are filled with photos and data, no place to write. Even the overlap days are filled with photos and most days with National Park data. Most important: have you ever seen a calendar (especially a nature calendar) without full moons... Horible

I purchased this calendar because I was drawn to the cover image and for the bonus of helping the National Park Foundation. The calendar is ok. It lacks a mini calendar for the preceeding and following month - which I miss greatly. It lacks moon phases - an odd ommission considering this is a calendar that celebrates the outdoors. Many of the date boxes show dull anniversary information, always in the same format (e.g. for January 8 it states "1971: Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota is established.") Compared to other nature calendars I've owned the photography seems underexposed and softly focused. The image credits are from GettyImages, ThinkStock, and iStockPhoto. So technically professional pictures but nothing that the photographer sought credit for. This calendar would be helped with mini calendars for preceeding and following months, moon phases, better photography/printing, and finally, inspirational quotes from the likes of John Muir, Teddy Roosevelt, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas, as well as contemporary leaders who have supported the National Parks. I have had better luck with Audubon Nature calendar and the Sierra Club Wilderness calendar.

My work schedule recently changed and i need a good quality calendar to keep track of my hours; this calendar is really nice quality, the images are stunning, the print is clear and the paper stock is heavy so it shouldn't tear when hung on a track/small nail.

Bought this for my office cubicle. It arrived quickly and in the sizes specified. The pictures are beautiful, and I can’t wait to hang it up in January. I liked that there were a variety of different park scenes.

It is a calendar. It has all the right dates. But, you don't really get a calendar for that. You get it for the pictures. These are lovely!

but on the calendar itself, there is NO small view of the previous month of the following month. That is a huge bummer. I don't want to not use this calendar, but I use the small views of the previous and following month all the time, and to not have it is not very useful.

Love the landscapes and helping support the national parks some. The little info paragraphs about the parks each month is neat. 2021 is the third year in a row I've bought these. I think my biggest gripe is I prefer calendars with previous and next months shown for quick scheduling sake. Good calendar all the same.

Like the calendar. Could choose better quality images though, based on the places shown that I have visited. On the positive side you will not be disappointed when you visit the places.

The scenes in this calendar are beautiful and the boxes for each day are very large. You can put all the reminders in that you want.

I gave this to my grandmother for Christmas and she LOVED the beautiful pictures. The little excerpts about the parks under each picture are a nice bonus as well.

I was gifted this calendar and I absolutely love it. I am definitely an outdoors nerd although I really get a sense of joy from seeing all of the National Park days and pictures.

Most of my friends no longer use wall calendars. They use their phones. I prefer the wall calendar. The photographs are stunning!

I have traveled to national parks all over the country I have this calendar every year and I consider it the best.

This is bigger than I had anticipated...couldn't hang it in my normal spot. But the print and the pictures are great.

This calendar is the perfect size for listing appointments, etc. and being able to see them without having to squint. I don't think I will ever buy one of the smaller ones again. If your eyesight is getting poor, you will really appreciate this calendar. I highly recommend it.

Love looking at pictures of the national parks to remind me of many great visits and of course to think about where I might go next.

I bought this for my office at work and it works for that purpose. It doesn't have any misprints or missing pages. My office has no windows so the stunning nature photos really help with beautifying my dull tiny corner office. I live in Washington state and am a little disappointed there are no Olympic National Park photos, but love all the parks featured so I don't mind too much.

Who doesn't love the National Park Service? I buy this calendar every year. Its always full of beautiful pictures; if its not available on Amazon next year, I found a copy in the local NPS store. Enjoy!

Every year I buy this calendar for its visuals, and because it cites many key holidays. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it's getting flimsier as time goes by.

But it only has that month on the page. Most big calender's have the previous and future month somewhere small on there. I didn't realized I used it until today.

Perfect size to hang on the wall and use. pictures are beautiful they will be great art work for 2020!

The quality wasn't there the way it was in the Sierra Club Calendar I bought in 2019. Doesn't have the spiral curly wire at the top that makes Calendars easy to flip. May just give it away to an office mate. Not worth returning.

All of the visuals are very beautiful on the calendar. The only negative is that the boxes are bit small, so if you have multiple appointments/activities in one day it may be hard to write them in.

This us a must have for national park enthusiasts, or if you just like looking at the beauty of nature. What a deal too. Well made. It's a must have!!!!

This calendar is made with great quality, and the pictures in are just gorgeous. Don't second guess yourself, you will not regret displaying this for 2019.

I've tried other wall calendars from time to time, but I keep coming back to the National Park Foundation Wall Calendar. The largish day squares provide space for notes on the heavy white paper stock and the photographs are beautiful and engaging. Holidays are noted as well as information about the image locations. As a photographer, I really appreciate that last bit of information!

Received this calendar as a Christmas gift. Beautiful national parks, quite a few that I've been to which makes it even better.

So many beautiful photos, so artfully capturing the scenes, I can almost feel the surroundings. Such a wonderful way to support our national treasures. Next best thing to being there.

I LOVE these calendars and LOVE LOVE LOVE that they support national parks. They look great with great poster quality pictures and big daily squares for our busy family to remember all the important dates.

I do not recommend this calendar unless you want it for the nice pictures. I am not able to write on the calendar, except with certain types of ink. I am not able to use this. Very disappointed that they would make a calendar with a paper that doesn't accept the use of a normal ball point pen.

This is a great calendar for fans of the National Parks.

Everybody needs to visit Yellowstone, Glacier, Redwood, Grand Canyon, Devil's Tower, Crater Lake or West Virginia at least once. Life changing. Ol Teddy knew what he was doing.
