Great Football
If you’re a Clemson football fan, you’ll be enthralled by this book. However, there are definitely some negative things about the writing: (1.) There are many mistakes throughout the book - not just grammatical errors, but things like the chapter on Tommy West starting out with info about Tommy West and then switching to info about Dabo Swinney...as if the editor copied and pasted info in the wrong chapter. (2.) The title of the book claims the reader will learn about football and things Clemson fans should do before they die. There’s not one single thing listed to do - every chapter is about football. I’m NOT complaining about the football content. I relished every football fact I read, but the book’s title is misleading. (3.) The chapters are NOT in chronological order. It would have been a much better read if the chapters were arranged in historical order instead of jumping back-and-forth.

I purchased this book as a gift for my husband. He is not a reader, but lives in a family were myself and the kids are always reading something new. The hope was he would find this book interesting enough to at least review a few facts. However, to my surprise he started reading it and truly enjoyed the stories and facts. He loves Clemson, his blood runs orange. So, many of the facts he already knew, but the stories were well written in great detail. The best part for him was the book does not need to be read from cover to back. A reader can just read on certain topics or periods. The book contains even the most current topics.
