By creating 'Small Batch Baking' with recipes for small quantities Saura Kline has encouraged me to try making things I had not tried before and, because of her clear instructions, helped me succeed at making some beautiful desserts that also tasted great! So far I have made the Rosemary Goat Cheese Biscuits, the Cherry Pistachio Streusel Pie and the Greek Yogurt Berry Pie. You can ask my husband. I have been trying to make really good biscuits for years. Saura's recipe turned out better than anything I've tried. (pictured). As a bonus, the few biscuits we had left still tasted really good a couple of days later. Next I made the Cherry Pistachio Streusel Pie. It was a delicious combination of flavors and textures. I used frozen cherries since there are no fresh cherries in the store right now and will not hesitate use them again for this recipe. The pistachio's enchanced the taste so much they were well worth the effort to purchase. The Greek Yogurt Berry Pie and the Buttery Shortbread that I have also made tasted great and I will definitely be making them again. Thank you Saura for creating this book with recipes in small quantities. Your writing style and creative abilities brighten the lives of others.

I love desserts but making a whole cake or 36 cookies for only 2 people can "settle on you" pretty quick. This book has recipes for smaller volumes which is good for us. Most are in a quantity of 6 which is great for a couple/few days of eating and then it is gone and you can make something else a few days later. The variety is good. Lemon Meringue Cupcakes, Brioche hamburger buns, Shortbread with caramel and chocolate, Parmesan Rosemary and Olive Focaccia bread, and Mini bacon and cheese quiches just to name a few with other great options as well. Almost every recipe has me thinking "oh, I want to make that". And I will be starting with the Shortbread this weekend.

If it wasn't on sale for prime day then I wouldn't have bought it. Yes it has some neat recipes and small batches are what I need. There's nothing I dislike for the recipes. However I prefer cookbooks that have images of the completed recipe. The only images were at the beginning of sections. Sure it's not the end of the world but for those of us who don't know what a kouign-amann is, it would be nice to have an image already there instead of looking it up separately. I've also found images of the product tend to invoke more of a desire to make said product. I appreciate the authors efforts and the recipes, I just don't care for the lack of imagery.

Been looking at this book for a while thinking do I need another cook book thought yes I do because those rosemary Goat-Cheese Biscuits sound so yummy not made yet as not been shopping for goat's cheese .another thing made me buy this book was because I didn't want loads left over which you get with other cook book's when there's only you eating them. I have made the double chocolate chunk brownies I weighed everything instead of using cups spoons, the recipe said 3 grams of salt, which would have been way too much and made them un edible. luckily I'd read reviews left buy others which have pointed out some measurements are wrong. So I only put a tiny amount of salt in I no some recipes call for salt to counterack sweetness.but not 3 grams once cooked they looked and tasted great after my tweak will make again I'm looking forward to trying other recipes but will be keeping an eye on measurements .
