"On one page, I thought to myself “wow, that looks like my husband and me!” and you’d better believe the kiddos you know will be doing the same. This book is a must for the young children in your life!" - Lauren Dixon
We want our children to know how to share their Christian faith and feel confident in doing it. If we want our children to not just know Jesus, but share Him with others, we need to show them examples of others kid's doing just that, and that's what this book does.
This book is a stream of thoughts from the main character, a little boy who is growing more confident in sharing his faith.
He reasons through what Jesus gives him, what Jesus has done for him, and how he will show his friends.
From Our Main Character: "Hi! I’m excited for you to read this book because it’s how I realized that I’m not weird. I used to think that people might think I’m weird for loving Jesus and talking about him. Now I know I’m not and this is the story of how. I hope you know you’re not weird too after hearing my story!"
This book will help your children to grow and share their faith.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2020I so enjoyed this book written by Ellaine Ursuy and illustrated by Nolan Moore! It is fun in that the illustrations suck you in - they are excellently detailed and also representative for a multiethnic world we live in. It is relatable because we can all feel really weird sometimes for sharing our faith. Many of us who have been laughed at for sharing our faith can share the hurt of being called weird. BUT this book helps us to understand very simply that we are not weird because we are very loved by Jesus so why would we NOT share our faith? Additionally, it is practical because it helps young Christians to build a plan to share their faith. I am excited to get this as a gift for my nephews!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2021I love Ellaine Ursuy's beautiful simplicity and use of a child's language to teach children to share the often misunderstood concept of salvation through Christ. It epitomizes God's message of becoming "as a child" and of going out and sharing the Gospel. Great little book I'm recommending to all the Christian parents of little ones I know.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2021I love that this book teaches kids how to share the gospel with their friends. It's not an easy thing to do, even as an adult but the ideas included in the book are very simple for kids and introduces and encourages them to be confident in their faith, after all, we as Christians want to bring more people to Christ because we are blessed and moved by His love. It's all about spreading that joy and love to others. It's really not that scary or difficult! And definitely doesn't make you weird to love God!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2020With this book, Ellaine is meeting a need that little 6 year-old me definitely had...to know that it is alright (and definitely not weird) to talk about my faith outside of church! This book is a kid-focused tool to engage and teach young children that they can have courage and boldly talk about Jesus. It is also clear that the illustrations are not only cute, but intentional in making sure that children can truly see themselves in the position of the main character. On one page, I thought to myself “wow, that looks like my husband and me!” and you’d better believe the kiddos you know will be doing the same. This book is a must for the young children in your life!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2020Absolutely fantastic! This book captured my attention from the very first page! It is such a sweet, relatable story for children to learn from. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking to help their child grow in their faith and be confident spreading the good news of Jesus. The world needs more of this positivity! This book will be well worth your time and become a fan favorite in your home!

I particularly liked how the author included an instruction page on how to create a plan to reach out to our friends. The illustrations are a perfect match for this delightful story, and even though it was written for kids it would be great for adults too.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2020I loved the simple but beautiful message of this book. In our world today it can feel awkward and scary to share our personal beliefs with others, but I love the message that it’s not weird to show love or to share something with those around you that has brought you a lot of joy. A great reminder to be yourself and to not be afraid to let your light shine.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2020I’m Not Weird is a sweet book, it’s relatable and holds your attention. It’s a hard topic for parents to explain to young kids about sharing their faith without feeling strange and weird. This book helps children understand, it’s not weird to show love or have a caring heart for others just like Jesus did. I highly recommend this book!
