Seeing everyone rally around their friend in the hospital, is heartfelt. I spent most of the past 11 months in hospital. It was the longest I have spent not under my parents or husband's roof. It was revelatory and fascinating. My family kept me in prayer and I had regular visits with the hospitals reverend. I think that being a person whose used to being the caretaker and is not able to care for one's self is a shift. Had it been"Mama Bear" in hospital it may have felt more impactful. But she needed to be their spiritual center l, so I understand. The Dee flashback sheds light on her and Shads relationship which was telling. I don't want to ruin the rest, but it wraps up pretty well... Though cliff hanger. Addiction to people is a real thing. It's scientific. One can get addicted to anothers chemicals. Love, is a chemical reaction. When the high is no longer the same, things can end and often do. But sometimes they take a turn. Relationships take work, both being in one and having the strength to end it.
